NORTH RICHLAND HILLS -- Warren C. Moore, 87, a retired barber, died Tuesday, July 15, 1997, in North Richland Hills.

Funeral: noon Friday at Laurel Land Chapel of the Chimes in Laurel Land Memorial Park of Fort Worth. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park.

Memorials: Acton Baptist Church Building Fund, 3500 Fall Creek Highway, Granbury, Texas 76049.

Warren C. Moore was born May 5, 1910, in McNeil and had resided in the Fort Worth area for 55 years. Mr. Moore owned Moore's Barber Shop in south Fort Worth for 25 years. He was a member of Acton Baptist Church and Hemphill Heights Masonic Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Essie J. Moore, on Feb. 16, 1997, and his son, Larry M. Moore, in December 1996.

Survivors: Daughters, Dorothy J. Harris and her husband, Derold, of Fort Worth and Norma J. Overdorf and her husband, Joe, of North Richland Hills; granddaughters, Valerie Harris Fitzgerald of Corpus Christi and Selena Harris Priddy and her husband, Walter, of Longview; great-grandson, Blair Fitzgerald of Corpus Christi; three sisters, Marie Guy, Edith Segler and Evalena Coffey, all of Oklahoma City; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family wants to offer their most sincere thanks to their cousins, the children of Berry and Jessie Moore. We will always remember their kindness and love and caring during this difficult time.

BURLESON -- Nobuku Paris, 65, a retired produce clerk, died Tuesday, July 15, 1997, at a Fort Worth hospital.

Nobuku Paris was born July 9, 1932, in Numazu, Japan.

She had been a Burleson resident for 18 years and was with Bransom's Grocery for 14 years. She was a member of Burleson Bible Church and enjoyed gardening.

Carolyn Joyce Parsons
WILLOW PARK -- Carolyn Joyce Parsons, 48, died Wednesday, July 16, 1997, at her home.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday at White's Funeral Home. The Rev. Buddy White will officiate. Burial: Memory Garden of the Valley Memorial Park in Weatherford. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Carolyn Joyce Parsons was born Sept. 2, 1948, in Deming, N.M.

The love of her life was her family, especially her grandchildren. Her hobbies were cooking and reading.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua Parsons; her mother, Edith Bishop; and grandfather, Ollie Mode.

Survivors: Husband, James Parsons of Willow Park; sons, David Parsons of Willow Park, Jim Parsons of Fort Worth and Jerry Parsons and his wife, Alisa, of Brock; sisters, Linda and her husband, Tom Covington, of Fort Worth, Marilyn and her husband, Ray Marett, of Duncanville and Janie and her husband, Jeff Walters, of Weatherford; maternal grandmother, Amy Mode of Cameron; father, Arley Bishop of Weatherford; grandsons, Trevor Parsons of Fort Worth and Jarret Parsons of Brock; granddaughter, Tabitha Parsons of Fort Worth; and several nieces and nephews.

Reo Moffitt Payne was born Dec. 12, 1918, in Emory and was a longtime Fort Worth resident. She retired from Agee Venetian Blind Co. after more than 20 years' service.

Mrs. Payne was a member of Greater Worth Hills Missionary Baptist Church, where she once served as an usher, choir member and a youth worker many years ago.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Guthrie Payne Sr., in 1942; two sons; and a daughter.

Survivors: Daughter, Alice Brown of Fort Worth; sisters, Annie Tusey, Mary Cannon, Charlesetta Carr and Ottie Daniels, all of Fort Worth; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; three sisters-in- law; a special friend, Bennie Sue Foster; and many friends.
