Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at University Christian Church. Entombment: private committal in Greenwood Mausoleum.

Ben Hogan was born Aug. 13, 1912, in Dublin, Texas.

He was a member of University Christian Church and an Air Forces veteran of World War II.

Mr. Hogan started as a caddie in Fort Worth at age 11. He turned professional in the Texas Open when he was 19.

He won the Professional Golfers' Association Championship in 1946 and 1948; U.S. Open Championship, 1948, 1950, 1951 and 1953; Western Open 1946 and 1948; Los Angeles Open, 1946, 1947 and 1948, World's Championship, 1951 and 1953; Colonial National Invitation, 1946, 1947, 1952, 1953 and 1959; Pan American, 1953; British Open, 1953; Masters Tournament, 1951 and 1953; U.S. Vardon Trophy, 1940, 1941, 1942, 1946 and 1948; voted Golfer of the Year, 1948, 1950, 1951 and 1953; member of U.S. Ryder Cup Team, 1947, 1949 and 1951, captain in 1947 and 1949 and non-playing captain in 1967; voted Professional Athlete of the Year, 1953; winner of `Sports Magazine' Award Trophy "Sportsman of the Decade" 1946 through 1956; winner of Canada Cup matches in 1956; elected to PGA Golf Hall of Fame in 1953; elected to PGA World Golf Hall of Fame in 1974; was named as the greatest professional golfer of all time on May 4, 1956, in a poll of U.S. golf writers and sports editors; author of `Power Golf' and `The Modern Fundamentals of Golf' ; won a total of 64 tournaments; was never out of the top ten in the U.S. Open from 1940 through 1960; Masters runner-up four times and was never less than seventh from 1941 through 1956. His win in the British Open in 1953 on his only attempt was a record setting 287, breaking the course record in the process. He set the scoring record in the U.S. Open and Masters; and was PGA player of the year four times, 1948, 1950, 1951 and 1953.

Geloria Minnie Hudson
FORT WORTH -- Geloria Minnie Hudson, 76, a homemaker, died Friday, July 25, 1997, at a Fort Worth nursing center.

Geloria Hudson was born Dec. 17, 1920, in Parker County.

She was a member of Ridglea West Baptist Church for more than 40 years. She was active in many senior activities.

Survivors: Husband, Hubert Jack Hudson, Leslie Hubert Hudson, both of Fort Worth; daughter, Brenda Scott; sister, Vada Klein; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Dale Marrow
AZLE -- Dale Mitchell Marrow, 59, a retired furniture business owner, died Thursday, July 24, 1997, at a Fort Worth hospital.

Dale Mitchell Marrow was born April 9, 1938, in Emory.

He attended First Assembly of God Church in Azle and was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 1372 in White Settlement.

Survivors: Wife, Joan Marrow of Azle; daughters, Lanita Dale Brammer of Weatherford; sisters, Quanah Thomason of Austin, Shelia Oxford of Midland and Dorothy Short of Sutherland, Ore.; grandchildren, Bubba Brammer and Mitchell Dale, both of Weatherford; great-nieces, Jessica and Jamie Joergenson of Azle; and several nieces and nephews.

HURST -- EvaLee Milner, 93, a sales clerk, died Thursday, July 24, 1997, at a Hurst nursing center.

Graveside service: 11 a.m. Monday in Laurel Land Memorial Park in Dallas. Visitation: 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday at Laurel Land Funeral Home in Dallas.

EvaLee Milner was born March 6, 1904, in Allen Parish, La.

Her family was one of the pioneer families in Kaufman County and the Cottonwood community. She lived in Dallas 62 years, and retired from S. H. Kress Company Department Stores after 30 years. She moved to Hurst in 1987. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and aunt.

She was preceded in death by her huband, Cyrus Milner, who was one of the first attendees of Stephen F. Austin University, Nacogdoches, and a teacher at the Cottonwood Community School in Cottonwood.

Survivors: Sons and daughters-in- law, Ivan Tate and Hellen Powell Milner of Fort Worth, Elbert Coleman and Elizabeth Milner of Bedford; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Dorothy Bynum Moffatt
KOPPERL -- Dorothy Bynum Moffatt, 82, a retired dental hygienist, died Thursday, July 24, 1997, at a Fort Worth hospital.

Private family graveside service: 10 a.m. Monday in Kopperl Cemetery. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Monday at Kopperl First United Methodist Church. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Lawson Funeral Home in Meridian.

Dorothy Bynum Moffatt was born July 29, 1914, in Kopperl, and was reared in the Kopperl area. She married Floyd Moffatt on Feb. 5, 1933, and he died on July 18, 1983. She was a resident of Fort Worth from 1947 to 1978. She retired as a dental hygienist and returned to Kopperl, where she was an active member of the Kopperl First United Methodist Church.

Survivors: Son, Danny Moffatt of Dallas; several other relatives ; and a host of friends.

Jimmie Mundell
LAMPASAS -- Jimmie Mundell, a pioneer television news photographer, died Monday, July 14, 1997, at home.

A memorial service and celebration of his life was held on July 19 at the Mundell home.

Memorials: the family has requested that any memorials be sent to Friends of Hospice Highland Lakes, P.O. Box 840, Burnet, Texas 78611.

Jimmie Mundell was born Oct. 16, 1921, in Amarillo, and began his career as a photographer on the streets of Austin. He later worked for newspapers in Wichita Falls and Houston.

On Dec. 8, 1941, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he served as a combat photographer in the Pacific Theater. He was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.

In 1948 he joined the fledgling television station, WBAP-TV in Fort Worth. Later as a freelance cameraman for all three major networks, his work led him from the riots of the 60s to revolutions in Central America.

Mundell (known as "Mokey" to his family) is survived by:

FORT WORTH -- Mark Palagi, 19, a student at Tarrant County Junior College, died Friday, July 25, 1997, in Fort Worth.

Mr. Palagi was born Dec. 28, 1977, in San Antonio. He played classical piano and was a graduate of the Sykes Academy. He was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church.

Eula Mae Galyon Petty
BOYD -- Eula Mae Galyon Petty, 85, a nurse's aide, died Friday, July 25, 1997, at a Decatur hospital.

Eula Mae Galyon Petty was born Jan. 22, 1912, in Hopewell. She was married to the late Charles Galyon. She married Andrew Jackson Petty on Nov. 11, 1981, in Weatherford. She was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Boyd.

Survivors: Husband, Jack Petty of Boyd; daughter, Charlene Hollis of Tom Ball; brother, Thomas Hodges of Alvord; sisters, Meredith Hale of Decatur and Madge Radford of Lake Charles, La.; and two grandchildren.

FORT WORTH -- Lillian M. "Lil" Reed, 65, a homemaker, died Friday, July 25, 1997, in Fort Worth.

Lillian Reed was born Nov. 13, 1931, in Brush, Colo. Lil and Bernie Reed were married Oct. 17, 1950. She has been an East Fort Worth resident since 1974. Lil enjoyed gardening, being outside with the birds and working jigsaw puzzles. Above all, she loved taking care of her family and their homes.

Survivors: Husband, Bernard Reed of Fort Worth; daughter, Janelle Shupe of Fort Worth; mother, Gladys Bass of Bend, Ore.; brother, Leland Bass of Baker, Mont.; sisters, Ima Jean Storlie of Bend, Ore., Doreen Pippitt of Salem, Ore., and Eleanor Gregory of Phoenix, Ariz.; granddaughter, Christine Kay Isaacs and her husband, John David Isaacs, of Fort Worth; mother-in-law, Ruby Reed of Sterling, Colo.; brothers- in-law, Paul Reed of Canon City, Colo., David Reed of San Diego, Calif., and John Reed of Chicoppee Falls, Mass.; sister-in-law, Mary Rich of Sterling, Colo.; and numerous nephews, nieces and other family members.

Juana Rodriguez was born Jan. 3, 1947, in Mexico.

She lived in the Fort Worth area most of her life. She worked in the laundry at John Peter Smith Hospital and was a memeber of Saint Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church.
