John Russell was born Nov. 17, 1923, in Dallas. He was a former resident of Fort Worth. He was preceded in death by his mother, Genevieve Russell, and father, John M. Russell.

Survivors: Wife of 46 years, Betty Russell of Mesquite; and son, Mike Russell of Dallas.

Sarah Madine Stone
CLEBURNE -- Sarah Madine Stone, 73, a retired child care worker for Buckner Baptist Children Home, died Friday, July 25, 1997, at a Fort Worth hospital.

Funeral: 2:30 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Alvarado.

Sarah Madine Stone was born June 10, 1924, in De Leon. She worked her life taking care of babies at Buckner Baptist Children Home in Dallas.

Survivors: Brother, M.E. Stone of Cleburne; and sisters, Pearl Baddock of De Land, Fla., and Ruth Mc Afee of Alvarado.

Nicole Taylor
WATAUGA -- Nicole Taylor, 17, a student, died Friday, July 25, 1997, at an Arlington hospital

Funeral: 3 p.m. Monday at North Fort Worth Baptist Church. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home

Memorials: Carrie F. Thomas Elementary School, Haltom High School Library, and North Fort Worth Baptist Church.

Nicole Taylor was born Sept. 9, 1979, in Fort Worth. She was a student at Haltom High School where she was a member of the National Honor Society. She played the French horn and was selected for Texas All-State Band her freshman and sophomore years. She was also a member of the Haltom Symphonic Winds Band and the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra. She was a member of the North Fort Worth Baptist Church where she played in the church orchestra. Nicole was also an accomplished artist, and an avid reader.

Survivors: Parents, Bobby and Susan Taylor; sister, Jennifer Taylor, all of Watauga; grandparents, Bob and Maude Ellen Taylor, Allen and Betty Moody, Wilma Good, all of Fort Worth; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

FORT WORTH -- N.B. Thomason, 84, retired owner of a printing company, died Friday, July 25, 1997, in Fort Worth.

Funeral: 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park.

Mr. Thomason was born Oct. 14, 1912, in Guys Store.

He was a salesman and owned part of Thomason-Morrow Printing Company. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Elks Club and the Fort Worth Boat Club.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorris Thomason.

Survivors: Daughter, Dorothy Waldon and husband, Larry, of Fort Worth; brother-in-law, H.E. Andrews; sister and brother-in-law, Jac and Ed Brown; grandchildren, Larissa Waldon, Lawrence "Tony" Waldon, Larry Alan Waldon and wife, Sara; great-grandchildren, Colin, Scott, Tim and Stephanie Waldon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dorothy Zimmer
COLLEYVILLE -- Dorothy "Dottie" Zimmer, 69, a bartender, died Friday, July 25, 1997, at a Dallas hospital.

Graveside service: 2 p.m. Monday at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home.

Dorothy Zimmer was born Nov. 21, 1927, in Fort Worth. She was the second youngest of nine children born to Hugh and Elizabeth Lynn. In the early '50s, she married F.P. Zimmer and together they lived in various areas of the country while he served as a colonel in the Air Force. She worked in the hotel industry with the Ramada Inn in Shreveport, La., and retired from the Marriott in Dallas in 1988. The past three years, Mrs. Zimmer has fought a courageous battle with cancer.

Survivors: Daughter, Linda Henderson of Colleyville; granddaughters, Melanie Henderson and Tracie Henderson; brothers, Bill Lynn of Brownwood and Bob Lynn of Fort Worth; and sisters, Elinor Watts of Fort Worth, Charlotte Perry of Granbury and Gloria Lewis of Flint, Mich.

Mr. Butler was born Nov. 11, 1942, in Gorman.

He was a life time member of the North Texas Pee Wee Association, The Diamond Hill Pee Wee Football Association, and a member of the Decatur Avenue Baptist Church.

Survivors: Wife of 33 years, Clara Butler; sons, Jerry Wayne Butler and wife, Alicia of Granbury, John Valton Butler III.; daughters, Rhonda Louise Butler of Indiana, Christina Page Butler of Fort Worth; brother, John Valton Butler Jr.; three grandchildren; six nephews; and four nieces.

Dominga Chavera was born Nov. 17, 1918, in Concepcion.

She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church of Fort Worth. She was a former member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Alice.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tiburcio and Gregoria Gonzalez, five sisters and one brother.

Survivors: Sons, Adan Jr. and wife, Olga Chavera of Fort Worth, Arvey and Yolanda Chavera of Azle, Arnoldo and Kathe Chavera of North Richland Hills; daughters, Gloria Sims of Arlington, Irma Benavides and husband, Chris of Kenedy, Velma Young of Littlefield, Nelda Menchaca and husband, Carlos of Corpus Christi; sisters, Maria G. Chavera, Ysidra G. Cruz, both of Alice; 23 grandchldren; and seven great- grandchildren.
