John Kenneth Stewart was born Oct. 22, 1952, in Shawnee, Okla. He was preceded in death by his brother, James Timothy Stewart.

Survivors: Sons, Kenneth John Stewart of Fort Worth and Jeffrey James Stewart of Everman; daughter, Mary Ann Stewart of Fort Worth; father, John D. Stewart of Mangum, Okla.; mother, Jean Garza of Fort Worth; brother, Terry Lee Stewart of Tacoma, Wash.; brother, Ronald David Stewart of Fort Worth; sister, Paula Susan Rambo of Fort Worth; four nieces; and five nephews.

Christian Charles "Scooter" Tate was born Oct. 22, 1995, in Fort Worth.

Survivors: Parents, Darryle and Mellody Tate of Fort Worth; brothers, Jasonn Tate and Justin Tate, both of Fort Worth; sisters, Jennifer Tate, Jaighla Tate and Acacia Tate, all of Fort Worth; paternal grandparents, Charles and Christine Tate of Nebraska; and godmother, Clara Swiggart.

MINERAL WELLS -- Ina L. Wilkinson, 90, a homemaker, died Saturday, August 2, 1997, in Mineral Wells.

Ina L. Wilkinson was born Aug. 5, 1906, in Palo Pinto County. She was a Baptist and had lived all her life in Palo Pinto County.

Survivors: Brothers, James C. Wikinson of Tenaha and Bruce Wilkinson and his wife, Ruth of Mineral Wells; grandchildren, Jim, Rick, Eddie Wilkinson and Dianne Trice; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

BLASDELL, N.Y. -- Mary C. Bednarz, a former longtime resident of Fort Worth, died Friday, Aug. 1, 1997.

Funeral was at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Our Mother of Good Council Catholic Church in Blasdell.

Memorials: Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Elm and Carlton streets, Buffalo, N.Y. 14263, in lieu of flowers.

Mary C. Bednarz was preceded in death by a sister, Laura Barbatt.

Survivors: Her loving husband, Joseph T. of Blasdell; daughters, Bea Whitfill of Houston and Audrey Curran and her husband, Michael, of Lees Summit, Mo.; grandchildren, William A. Whitfill III and his wife, Diana, of Euless, Texas, Mark J. Dan Bostick was born Aug. 5, 1937, in Byron, Ga.

He and his wife owned and operated Dan and Maxine's Restaurant in Crowley from 1990 to 1994.

Survivors: Wife of 40 years, Maxine Bostick of Crowley; sons, Dan P. Bostick Jr. of Joshua, Melvin W. Bostick of Springtown and James L. Bostick of Crowley; daughters, Alma P. Ray of Paradise, Daphne Bostick of Crowley and Latreese L. Strachan of Ingleside; brother, Jesse Laster of Gulfport, Miss.; and 13 grandchildren.

FORT WORTH -- Shirley Clark, 43, a Fort Worth Star-Telegram billing manager, died Saturday, Aug. 2, 1997, in Dallas.

Funeral: noon Tuesday at Laurel Land Funeral Home of Fort Worth. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park of Fort Worth.

Pallbearers: Keith Clark, Kevin Clark, Shane Millsap, Scott Millsap, Ralph Hailey and Monty Sanders.

Shirley Clark was born Dec. 22, 1953, in Fort Worth. She was preceded in death by her sister, Cathy Cooley, in September of 1996.

A `Star-Telegram employee for more than nine years, she had worked her way from verification clerk to billing manager. She was honored on three different occasions through the employee of the month program at the `Star- Telegram . She was well liked and will be missed by her co-workers.

Survivors: Husband, Charlie Clark of Fort Worth; sons, Terry McCreery of Fort Worth; daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda and John Margotta, Regina and Donald Powell and Vicki Clark, all of Fort Worth; mother and stepfather, Barbara and Jim Pugh of Winnsboro; brother, Edwin Rogers of Winnsboro; stepbrother, Mike Pugh of Canton; stepsisters, Phillis and Debbie Pugh of Athens, Texas; grandchildren, John, Courtney, Haylie, Dyllan and Zoe; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mary Clements was born March 19, 1910, in Troy, Kan.

Mrs. Clements lived with her granddaughter, Carol Clements, in Fort Worth. She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Clements.

Survivors: Sons, Gene Clements of Fort Worth, Don Clements Sr. of Cresson, William Clements of California, Gerald Clements of Fort Worth and Carl Clements of Kansas City, Kan.; 29 grandchildren; several great- grandchildren; and one niece and one nephew.

FORT WORTH -- Billie S. Curlee, 84, a property administrator for the Air Force, died Sunday, Aug. 3, 1997, in Fort Worth.

Billie Curlee was born July 3, 1913, in Itasca, Texas.

Archie F. Dodson

BRAZORIA -- Archie F. Dodson, 81, a retired electronics technician for the FAA, died Sunday, Aug. 3, 1997, in Brazoria.

Funeral: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m.

Archie Dodson was born Feb. 19, 1916, in Plainview, Texas. After serving four years in the Army, Mr. Dodson transferred to the United States Air Force, retiring in December of 1951 as a master sergeant. He then went to work for the civil service as an electronics technician, retiring from the FAA in 1973.

Archie Dodson was a charter member of Burton Hill Baptist Church and was a member of River Oaks Baptist Church in Fort Worth, where he served as a deacon.

He made his home in Fort Worth for more than 40 years before moving to Brazoria one year ago to live with his daughter. He loved his family, God, his church and golf. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends.

Survivors: Wife of 54 years, Alta; son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Bess Dodson of Fort Worth; daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Charles Conant of Brazoria; brothers, Dudley Dodson of Justin and James Dodson of Kenner, La.; sisters, Dimples Estes of Monahans, Nancy Rosso of LaFayette, Calif., and Betty Overton of Albuquerque, N.M.; grandchildren, Teri Lyn Gray, Blair Dodson, Angela Dodson, and Michael, Kevin, and Lee Conant; and five great- grandchildren.

FORT WORTH -- Gwen L. English, 79, a retired accountant for the Bodcaw Co., died Sunday, Aug. 3, 1997, at a local nursing center.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Laurel Land Funeral Home of Fort Worth. Burial: Rose Hill Cemetery in Cleburne. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Gwen L. English was born Dec. 26, 1917, in Cleburne.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill T. English.

Survivors: Stepson, Steve English; sister and brother-in-law, Jean and W.A. "Bill" Sanders of Fort Worth; step- grandson, Shawn English; niece, Jean Ann Cooper and her husband, Scott, of Mena, Ark.; grandniece, Christine Cooper; grandnephew, Chadd Cooper; great-grandniece and great- grandnephew, Catie and Cole Cooper; several cousins; and many friends.
