Marvin Dale Viles

Marvin Dale Viles, 85, died Thursday, March 06, 2008.

Mr. Viles was born August 21, 1922 in Grove, Oklahoma to Alvey “Bill” & Bertha Viles. He married Mary A.
Morgan on February 14, 1946 in Borger and just celebrated 62 years of marriage together. Marvin was a veteran
of WWII and was honored with the Silver Service Star. He was an avid sports fan and throughout his life,
participated in baseball & boxing. Marvin went to work for Phillips Petroleum Company in 1945 as an operator and
retired after 39 years.

The family wishes to say that Marvin Dale was a good husband and provider, a kind and helpful father who led by
example, and a loving and generous grandfather.

Mr. Viles will be greatly missed by his family and the many friends his life influenced over the years. His health had
rapidly declined in recent months and his family believes he now resides in a better place.

Mr. Viles was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Linda Louise Viles & a brother Wayne Viles.

He is survived by his wife, 2 sons, Michael Viles & wife Billye of Borger & Jim Viles & wife Brenda of Branson,
Missouri, a grandson Michael Patrick Viles of Borger, a daughter Janet Lowyer, 4 brothers Kenneth Viles & wife
Eleanor of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jack Viles & wife Janice of Dewey, Oklahoma, Bill Viles of Copperas Cove, Texas &
Eastel Viles & wife Betty of Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

Mr. Viles & his wife raised a second family consisting of grandchildren Matthew Barnhart, Damon Barnhart, D’ann
Rivali & Mark Rivali. He is also survived by grandsons William Viles, Shawn Viles, 4 great granddaughters and
one great grandson.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Hospice Care of the Southwest, 1301 S. Coulter,
Amarillo, Texas 79106 or to the charity of your choice.

Pauline Larsen

Pauline Larsen passed away March 3, 2008 in Georgetown, Texas at the age of 89. She was born May 8,
1918 to Elvie Della Kirby and David Peter Dobson in Gunter, Grayson County, Texas. Two brothers,
David Peter Dobson Jr. and O.J. Dobson, and one sister, Ellen Jane, preceded her in death.

Pauline was raised in Southeastern Oklahoma. She earned her Bachelors degree at Southeastern State
and her Masters degree at Oklahoma State University. She came to Borger in 1954, after teaching 10
years in Oklahoma and one year in Burkburnett, Texas. She taught elementary school in Borger for 28
years, retiring in 1982.

She married Nels A. Larsen, owner of Larsen Motor Company, October 12, 1962. Pauline and Nels were
parents of three daughters: Nedra Larsen Black of Abilene, Carolyn Baxter Taber of Boerne, and Sandra
Baxter Ward of Georgetown. Pauline and Nels delighted in their 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren

Pauline was a member of the Wesley Methodist Church, the Hutchinson County Retired Teachers
Association, and the Collector’s Club.

Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, March 8 at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Borger.
She will lie in state, Thursday, March 6, 2008 and Friday, March 7, 2008 and Visitation will be on Friday,
March 7 at Brown Funeral Home. Family members will welcome friends to the visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. at
the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Pauline Larsen can be made to the Hutchinson County Crisis
Center, Inc., PO Box 182, Borger, Texas, 79008, or to the Amarillo Alzheimer's Association, 415 W 8th
Ave. Suite 300, Amarillo, Texas 79101

Alma Jean Walton

Alma Jean Walton was born May 23, 1927 in Foreman, Arkansas to Clarence and Gussie Henry.

She was united in marriage to William Wesley Walton in Ashdown, Arkansas May 31, 1943. They moved to
Borger in 1951. She was a homemaker and a member of Bible Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Wesley, her daughter Phyllis McDonald, two sisters and
two brothers.

She is survived by her son David Walton, his wife Joyce, Leon McDonald, his wife Leota, seven grandchildren,
Cindy Cramer of Borger, Rick McDonald of Borger, Steve McDonald of Borger, Tim Walton of Amarillo, LaDonna
Clark of Canyon, LaRhonda Wetherington of Portales, NM, Kenneth Cox of Portales, NM. Two brothers Jim
Henry of Amarillo, Charles Henry of Fort Worth, 21 great-grandchildren, 3 great great-grandsons.

Casket bearers are Rick and Zack McDonald, Tim and Wes Walton, Steve & Jordan McDonald, Brian and
Christian Cramer.

Reverend Leonard Forsythe of Bible Baptist Church will hold the service. 2:00 PM Monday, Bible Baptist Church.

Erven B. Tooley

Erven B. Tooley, 85, born August 11, 1922, died March 15, 2008 in his home in Stinnett.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at Brown’s Memorial Chapel in Stinnett with
the Rev. Scott Wallace, associate pastor of Riverview Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in The Stinnett
Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Brown Funeral Directors of Borger.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charley and Lena Tooley, brother Harold Ray Tooley and sponsored
friend from Czechoslovakia, Rudolph Vyskocil.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Reba Keadle Tooley of the home, two sons, Loren E. Tooley and wife
Linda of Stinnett, Mark E. Tooley and wife Debra of Borger, one daughter Carol Tooley Sargent of the home, one
sister Leota J. Cook of Dumas.

Also surviving are six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; Mr. Tooley served in the US Army in WWII in
England, France, Germany, Czechoslovakia and Belgium. He landed with the 64th Combat Engineers on
Normandy Beach on June 6, 1944. He was a retired driller, pumper, and oil field consultant.

Jo Gentry

Jo Gentry, 77, of Stinnett, died Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at Borger Healthcare Center.

She was born on September 28, 1930 in Mexia, Texas to Jepthy & Ethel (Mathis) Irby. She was a retired
Optometrist Assistant for Dr. Frank Brown of Borger.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Helen Looney of Stinnett on August 11, 2007.

She is survived by a brother John Irby & wife Vickie of Borger, a sister Shirley Hinkle & husband Les of Cottage
Grove, TN; 3 grandchildren, Amber Francis & husband Chad of Fritch, Jason Looney of Abilene and Bear
Rodriguez of Weatherford.

She will lie in state at Brown's Memorial Chapel in Stinnett. Services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, March 21, 2008 at
Brown's Memorial Chapel in Stinnett with Pastor Tim Hall and burial at Stinnett Cemetery following.

Bill Warren

Bill Warren of Borger, 71, died Monday, March 24, 2008 at Golden Plains Community Hospital in Borger.

Bill was born on October 10, 1936 to Ernest Bill & Hazel Warren in Wichita Falls.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by one son Ernest Warren & wife Gayla of Borger; one daughter Kathy Gibbs & husband Darryl
of Hazlet, TX and 3 grandchildren, Nickolus Warren, Alie Warren & Halie Gibbs.

Lyle Leppert

Lyle Leppert, 82, died Sunday, March 23, 2008 at Golden Plains Community Hospital in Borger.

Mr. Leppert was born March 28, 1925 to Fredrick & Ella Mae Leppert. He married Linnie Parks on July 8, 1967.

He was preceded in death by his wife, June 6, 2004; a brother Roy Leppert; Step -Granddaughter Val Wilkinson
and his parents.

He is survived by; one stepson, Larry Kelsay of Amarillo; one stepdaughter, Betty Patterson of Fritch; one brother,
Eugene Leppert of West Alton, MO; two sister-in-laws, Jo Leppert of Tenmile, OR and Mildred Leppert of
Springfield, MO; one nephew Vernon Leppert & wife Carol of Florissant, CO; three grandchildren, Cindy Wood of
Fritch, Larry Kelsay Jr. of Cactus and Danny Kelsay of Amarillo.

Services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at Brown’s Chapel in Fritch with Rev. Leonard Forsythe,
Pastor of Bible Baptist Church in Borger officiating and burial at Westlawn Memorial Cemetery following.

Casket bearers will be Michael Wilkinson, Jessie Wilkinson, Todd Wilkinson & Jimmy Wilkinson.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to Amarillo Alzheimer’s Association, 415 W. 8th Ave
Suite 300, Amarillo, TX 79101.

Janice Reeves

Janice Reeves Fritch, 89, died Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at Baptist St. Anthony’s Hospice in Amarillo.

She was born December 15, 1918 in Okmulgee, OK. to Walter & Katie (Marsey) Hill. She was a housewife. She
married Ben A. Reeves on January 2, 1938 in Muskogee, OK. He preceded her in death, December 13, 2003.

She is survived by 1 Son: Zane Reeves & wife Carolyn of Duncanville, TX; 2 Daughters: Sandra Shive &
husband Jon of Highlands Ranch, CO, Sue Schuster & husband Edmund of La Verne, CA. 7 Grandchildren & 4
Great-Grandchildren.

Services will be 10:00AM Friday, March 28, 2008 at First Southern Baptist Church in Fritch with Rev. Calvin
Winters, Pastor of First Southern Baptist Church & burial at Highland Park Cemetery in Borger. Mrs. Reeves will
lie in state at Brown’s Chapel in Fritch from 2:00 PM Wednesday until service time.

Casket bearers will be: Zane Reeves II, Christi Reeves, Kevin Shive, Jeff Shive, Stan Shive, Stephanie Schuster,
Brett Schuster. Honorary bearers will be members of the TEL Sunday School Class.

Dorothy Shuffield Wilbanks

Dorothy Shuffield Wilbanks, 85, died Thursday, March 27, 2008 at her home in Stinnett.

Mrs. Wilbanks was born on January 30, 1923 to William & Lue Ella (Cox) Gifford in Ardmore, OK. She was a
retired nurse, a member of the Grandmothers Club of Stinnett and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Borger.

She was preceded in death by 2 husbands, Jim Shuffield & H.L. Wilbanks; 1 son, Jerry James Shuffield; 4
brothers Olen Gifford, Shelby Gifford, Fred Gifford & Clifford Gifford; 2 sisters, Alama Capps & Virgie Collier.

She is survived by 1 son, William Cody Shuffield; 2 daughters, Dorothy Ann Shuffield & Jill Lorraine Martinez; 3
sisters, Pauline Sewell, Ruthie Shaw & Bonnie Gregory; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and
other family members.

Mrs. Wilbanks will lie in state at Brown Chapel of the Fountains in Borger until service time.

Services will be 2:00 PM, Monday, March 31, 2008 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Borger with Rev. Steven Misch,
Pastor officiating and burial at Fairview Cemetery in Pampa, TX. Casket bearers will be Ken Seymour, Jessie
Shuffield, Jason Dozier, Chris Dozier, Randy Hooks, Rod Dozier, Jacob Martinez, Nick McDaniel and Casey
Dozier

Darlene Nelson

Opal Darlene Nelson, 69, of Stinnett, died Friday, March 28, 2008 in Borger.

Mrs. Nelson was born June 25, 1938 in Belen, New Mexico to Hext and Edith (Marr) Hoff.
She married Dennis Nelson in Borger on December 11, 1954. She was a secretary for the
First Baptist Church of Stinnett for 18 years.

Survivors include her husband, Dennis, a son; Kenneth Nelson; a daughter; Karla Brown
and husband Bobby, a sister; Patsy Caswell, two grandchildren; Kristen Foster and
husband Chad, and Beau Brown; and a great-grandson, Braxton Brown.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Research Star
Chapter, 3440 Bell St. Suite 320, PMB 240, Amarillo, TX 79109.

Services will be at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at the First Baptist Church in Stinnett
with Rev. Johnny Bernstein officiating. Burial will follow in Stinnett Cemetery. Arrangements
are entrusted to Brown Funeral Directors. Mrs. Nelson will lie in state at Brown's Memorial
Chapel on Sunday, March 30, 2008 from 12:00 -6:00 PM and Monday from 8:00AM - 8:00
PM.
Pallbearers will be Freddy Ray, John David McCord, Nathan Sargent, Ralph Dougherty,
Allen Snider and Kevin Frericks.
