Mrs. Anderson

Robert Bethel Thompson Anderson, 87, died Jan. 23 at Hico Nursing Home. Funeral services were held Jan. 26 at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Schibler and Rev. Harrold Kelly officiating. Burial was in the Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton.
Mrs. Anderson was born Aug. 4, 1914 in Hamilton County, the daughter of Thomas David (Sam) Thompson and Mary Ann (Manie) Dixon Williford Thompson.
She was married to James Grady (Buck) Anderson on Dec. 25, 1935 in Hamilton. He preceded her in death on May 21, 1985.
Survivors include four children and their spouses, James Michael and Joyce Anderson of San Antonio; Robert David and Joyce Anderson of Hico; Betty and Thomas Barclay of Brownwood and Billy Mark and Sharon Anderson of Watauga; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; a sister, Francis Raibourn of Hamilton; two brothers, Dean Thompson of Haysville, Kan. and Williford Thompson of Waitsville, Vt.
Pallbearers were Kelly Barclay, Doug Anderson, Dain Anderson, Gary Anderson, Craig Anderson and Bruce Anderson.
Honorary pallbearers were Jason Nowell, Phillip McCain, Kevin Anderson and Steven Anderson.

rs. Schreck

Alvena Anna (Winnie) Blum Schreck died at her home in Riverside, Calif. Jan. 19, 2002. Graveside funeral services were held at the Olivewood Cemetery in Riverside, Calif.
She was born Oct. 17, 1920 to Oscar O. and Elfreida Haase Blum.
Mrs. Schreck was preceded in death by her husband, Riley Schreck; her parents, Oscar and Elfreida Blum; sisters, Ollie Blum Cates, Ruby Blum Sellers and Ora Blum Frances and brothers, William E. (Bill) Blum, Carl (Buck) Blum and Raymond Blum.
Survivors include her brother Ed Blum of Hico; eight nieces; five nephews and a host of cousins.

Mr. Bailey

Robert L. Bailey Sr., 103, died Jan. 16, 2002 at the Hamilton Nursing Home. Funeral services were held Jan. 18 at Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Marvin Andrews officiating. Burial was at Oakwood Cemetery.
He was born Sept. 15, 1898 in Hamilton, the son of H.D. and Pearl Faubion Bailey. He was married to Allie V. Beard on Aug. 17, 1918. She preceded him in death.
Mr. Bailey was a hard worker who tilled gardens. He was a Christian by faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a daughter, Laura Mae Carroll and sons Robert Lee Bailey Jr. and A.V. Bailey; a grandchild; four sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include a daughter, Juanita Tatum of Burnet; seven grandchildren, Earl Goble and wife Bonnie, Mary Cutler and husband Jerry, Wanda Andrews and husband Marvin, Jeanette McPherson and husband Sam, Betty Dowell and husband Charles, Glenda McGlothlin, Myrna McKie and husband Chuck; numerous great and great-great-grandchildren as well as extended family and friends.
Pallbearers were Jerry Cutler, Chuck McKie, Sam McPherson, Cecil Kirkland, James Owens and Bernard Andrews.

Mrs. Berry

Julia E. “Judy” Berry, 74, died Jan. 25 surrounded by her family. Funeral services were held Jan. 27 at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Jackson and Rev. Geoffery Bailey officiating.
She was born July 10, 1927 in Dallas, the daughter of John and Mary Sanders Herndon.
During her life Mrs. Berry served various organizations including American Legion Auxiliary, president; Blue Ridge Cemetery, president; Eastern Star, active member; Republican Women’s Party; V.F.W. Auxiliary and Blue Ridge Baptist Church.
She worked for years as a clerk and bookkeeper for Dobbs House of Dallas and various car dealerships, and since 1964 was a business partner with her husband in Berry’s Building and Welding.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and a good friend.
Mrs. Berry was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Margarette Vermillion and two brothers, Sonny and Curtis Herndon.
Pallbearers were Kenneth Sanders, Darwin Cox, G.A. Carey, Gene Clarey, Lonnie Chumeny, Johnny Leitko and Dick Keeter.
Honorary pallbearers were Thurman Plyant, John Parks, Charles Herndon and Gate Gatewood.

Mrs. Faulkner

Joanna Ruth Faulkner, 85 of Waco, died Jan. 26, 2002 in a local nursing home. Graveside services were held Jan. 29 at Toliver Cemetery near Hamilton with Rev. Paul Smith officiating.
She was born Nov. 1, 1916 in Comanche County in the Lamkin community, the daughter of Fisher and Verna Morris.
She was married to J.T. Faulkner on Dec. 24, 1937 in Lamkin. The couple owned and operated Ruth’s Flower Shop on North 19th Street in Waco for many years. They were longtime residents of the Bosqueville community.
Mrs. Faulkner was a member of the Lamkin Primitive Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Joan Faulkner.
Survivors include her husband, J.T. Faulkner Jr. of Waco; a sister-in-law, Hazel Noble of Burnet; a brother-in-law, Carroll (Bocky) Faulkner of Fort Worth; an aunt, Blanche Lewis of Waco several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Rumsey

Allie Joyce Chambless Rumsey, 72, died Jan. 25. Graveside funeral services were held at the Shive Cemetery with memorial services following at the first Presbyterian Church in Hamilton.
She was born Nov. 28, 1929 in Hamilton, the daughter of George Wesley and Ola Lee Rucker Chambless. She was married to Roy Rumsey on Jan. 12, 1952.
Mrs. Rumsey retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber Company where she was an executive secretary.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother and served her community in many ways. She was on the board of United Care and also on the board that was responsible for the building of the Hamilton Public Library. Mrs. Rumsey was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Her life was a testimony to her faith. She faced the fatal disease A.L.S. with courage and peace and was an inspiration to all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, June Williamson.
Survivors include her husband, Roy Rumsey of Hamilton; two daughters, Sharee Darce of Austin and Rhonda Anderson of Euless; four grandchildren, Caitlin Darce, Will Darce, Drew Anderson and Lindsey Anderson.

Mr. Kissell

Harry Kissell, 75, died Jan. 19, 2002. Graveside services were held Jan. 26 at the Jonesboro Cemetery with Rev. Kevin McDonald officiating.
He was born Aug. 13, 1926 at Ideal, Colo, the son of Arthur James Kissell and Alice Bayuk Kissell. He was married to Frances Dovie Wagner at Hamilton on May 17, 1952. She preceded him in death on July 21, 1984.
Mr. Kissell and his brother Jimmy were brought to Texas by their Grandfather Bayuk to join their father Arthur. Mr. Kisssell worked for West Henry Feed Store in Hamilton before moving to Childress where he worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad maintenance division until his retirement when he moved back to Hamilton. He was a Christian by faith.
He is preceded in death by his stepmother, Lula Register Kissell and a brother, Jackie Dewayne Kissell.
Survivors include his brother, Jimmy Frank Kissell of Copperas Cove; nieces, Brenda Kissell of Hico and Debra Matthews of Amarillo; nephew, Jackie Kissell of Lovelady and a number of cousins and extended family and friends.

Mrs. Luttrell

Elma Myrle Wallace Luttrell, 93, died Jan. 27, 2002 at the Hamilton Health Care Center. Funeral services were held Jan. 29 at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Don Morrison officiating. Interment was in the Shive Cemetery.
She was born Oct. 17, 1908 at Dublin, the daughter of the late Oscar and Betty Hallmark Wallace.
She was married to Clyde B. Luttrell on Oct. 6, 1945. He preceded her in death on July 12, 1999.
Mrs. Luttrell was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Littleville Family Community Education Club and a member of the Park Heights Church of Christ.
She is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Pearl Hart of Castleberry and Ila Lee Kiphart of Caudle.
Survivors include her son, Bob Cochran and wife LaRue of Hamilton; two grandchildren, Rob Cochran of McKinney and Cindy Cochran of Brenham; two nephews, Kenneth Kiphart and Roy Hart, both of Odessa.
Pallbearers were: Jerry Chilton, Dale Chilton, John Bannert, Bubba Gerald, Mike Lovell and Jack Wall.

Mrs. Chumney

Lula Mae Chumney, 81 of Weatherford, died May 21, 2002. Graveside services were held May 24 at Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton.
Survivors include her daughter, Sharon Fretwell and husband Randy of Weatherford; grandchildren, Shawn Branson and wife Chairyl, Christy Westbrook and husband John and Cody Fretwell; great-grandchildren, Cole, Kevin and Erica, all of Weatherford.

Mr. Reinert

Funeral services for Albert August Reinert, 77, were held May 27, 2002 at Trinity Lutheran Church at Pottsville with Rev. Peter Anderson officiating. Burial followed in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
He was born May 31, 1924 at Indian Gap, Texas the son of Julius and Minnie Krueger Reinert.
He was married to Ann Hulda Wendland on October 21, 1945. She preceded him in death on June 7, 1985.
He and his wife raised their family in the Pottsville community where he was a farmer and rancher. Mr. Reinert was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
He is survived by six children, Roy A. Reinert of Hamilton; Rita Fay McCarty of Hazeldale; Mary Ann Maness of Woodlake, Calif.; Evelyn Diane Ahearn of Meridian; Clifford Wayne Reinert of Pottsville; and Lisa Kay Wagner of Pottsville; twelve grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were: Tom Stegemoller, Glenn Stegemoller, Ron Karasek, Curtis Wendland, Fizzer Johnson and Charles Jahns.

Mrs. Meade

Audrey Eunice Meade, 55, died May 21, 2002 at her home in Highland Village. Funeral services were held May 25 at Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marvin Andrews and Rev. Gilbert Donald officiating. Burial was at Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton.
She was married to Jack Meade on July 19, 1992 in Highland Village. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, a homemaker and a member of the North Point Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband, Jack Meade of Highland Village; her son, Kevin T. Shelton and wife Dolores of Temple; three grandchildren, Kenny and Natalie Shelton and Bradley Smith; eight sisters, Clara Lancaster, “Corky” Cathey and husband Bobby Lee, Charlene Kirkland and husband Kenny, Doris Donald and husband Gilbert, Esther Milloy and husband Doug, Brenda and husband Jimmie Don Edwards, all of Hamilton, Naomi Weems and husband Lynn of Waco, Mary Brumbalow of Gatesville; five brothers, Alvie Andrews and wife Wanda of San Angelo, Dalton Andrews and wife Nancy, Kenneth Andrews and wife Brenda, all of Hamilton, Bernard Andrews and wife Jeannie of Comanche, Marvin Andrews and wife Wanda of Lawton, Okla. and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers were: Joe D. Cathey, Bobby Cathey, Johnny Cathey, Wayne Andrews, Chris Andrews, James Lancaster, Bradley Smith and Ronnie Andrews. Honorary pallbearers were: Steve Brumbalow, Mike Kirkland, Allan Kirkland, Gary Donald, Brent Weems, Chad Andrews, James Andrews, Richie White, Brian Edwards and Dennis Biggs.

Mrs. Arbuckle

Annie Laurie Arbuckle 95 of Hamilton formerly of Austin died July 27 in Hamilton. Funeral services were held July 30 at Cook-Walden Capital Memorial Park Mausoleum at Pfluegerville. Burial followed in Capital Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Arbuckle was born June 11, 1907 at Austin, Texas, daughter of the late Fred Christian Peterson and Elsie Lena Kretschmar Peterson.
In July of 1922 she was married to Lester C. Arbuckle at Austin. He preceded her in death in 1972.
She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was an active member and supporter of the Pecan Springs P.T.A. and she was a long time member of Mary Rebekah Lodge # 117 in Austin. She was a member of the Baptist church. Annie had lived most of her life in Austin moving to Hamilton in 1997.
Survivors include one son, Brady Arbuckle and his wife Clarlynn of Hamilton; one sister, Nannie Jones; 12 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews survive.
She is preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Marjorie Fugler; a grandson; two sisters and three brothers.
Pallbearers were Gene Arbuckle, Johnny Fugler, Jerry Fugler, Jesse Fugler, Jimmy Fugler and Jay Fugler.
