Mrs. Urbantke
Polly Urbantke, 89, of Copperas Cove, died August 2, 2005 at Scott and White Hospital. Funeral services were held August 5 at Clear Creek Baptist Church with Thomas Edwards officiating. Burial was at Clear Creek Cemetery in Kempner.
She was born June 12, 1916 in Hamilton, the daughter of Mae Mayberry Parrish and William J. Parrish.
She was married to Ed Urbantke on Dec. 16, 1975 in Copperas Cove. She was a member of Clear Creek Baptist Church and a lifetime member of the PTA.
Survivors include her son, Robin and wife Cathy Traweek of Copperas Cove; grandsons, Robin Lain Traweek, Trae Collins and Brady Gustafson; and a granddaughter, Jona Traweek.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three husbands; two brothers and a sister.

Priscilla Anderson, 58, died July 16, 2005, at a hospital in Bedford. Funeral services were held August 9 at Peace Lutheran Church, 941 Bedford Euless Road, Hurst. Burial was at Lutheran Cemetery in Aleman with the Rev. Walter E. Waiser and the Rev. Steve Wiechman officiating.
Mrs. Anderson was a 1964 graduate of Jonesboro High School. She was married to her husband Jesse for 39 years.
She was a school bus driver for many years in Keller and Southlake. She was active with Peace Lutheran Church as a volunteer and member of the church.
Mrs. Anderson enjoyed playing softball as a pitcher on both women and coed teams. She also enjoyed sewing.
She fought a courageous six and a half month battle with stomach cancer.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Grayson Anderson; daughters, Andrea Plowman, Amy Anderson; her mother, Lydia Klatt; a brother, Randy Klatt; sisters, Marjorie Laney, Uneeda Roberts; grandchildren, Alexander Anderson, Luke Anderson, Sara Plowman.

Marie Belle Jahns, 85, died July 31, 2005, at an Arlington hospital, following a brief illness. Funeral services were held August 4, 2005 at Grace Lutheran Church in Arlington. Burial was at Moore Memorial Gardens.
She was born Dec. 12, 1919, in Hamilton, the daughter of Albert Julius and Nettie Jane Kunkel. She had lived in Arlington, since the late 1940s.
She was married to Ted Jahns on Oct. 10, 1937, in Pottsville.
Together with a small group of family members and friends, Ted and Marie helped start Grace Lutheran Church in Arlington. She was a loving and kind Christian.
Her husband preceded her in death in February 1999. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Rolan, A.J., James, Charles and Daniel Kunkel.
Survivors include her sister, Daphene Menix of California; a brother, Elmo Kunkel of Arkansas; daughters, Joan Dieterich and husband, Tommy, of Penrose, Colo., and Patti Casey and husband, Terry, of Arlington and her grandchildren, Pam, Steve, Leslie, Beth, Kevin, Chris and Amy; and great-grandchild, Justice.

Virgia Rose Dennis died August 8, 2005 in Oklahoma City, Okla. Graveside services were set for, August 11, 2005 at Kolb Cemetery in Spencer, Okla.
She was born June 10, 1919 in Aspermont.
Survivors include her three children, Martha Jean Campbell, of Amarillo, Pete Dennis, of Lampasas and Rose Buck of Oklahoma City, Okla. as well as numerous other friends and family.

Mrs. Boultinghouse
Lennie Myrtle Hall Boultinghouse, 104, died in Hamilton August 18, 2005. Funeral services were held August 20 in the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Portis Ribble officiating. Burial followed in I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
Mrs. Boultinghouse was born October 11, 1900 in Lampasas County, the daughter of John Seymoure Hall and Sarah Elizabeth Eaton Hall.
On January 26, 1922 she was married to Albert Boultinghouse.
He preceded her in death on July 19, 1954. She is also preceded in death by two infant daughters, one sister and three brothers.
Mrs. Boultinghouse was an active member of the Southside Church of Christ as long as her health permitted and she was always ready to help with food or help in any way when there was a need. She enjoyed growing flowers and raising chickens. She loved people, visiting and taking people to the doctor.
Pallbearers were Verner Gromatzky, Don Conner, Dale Sills, Jim Adams, Dane Marwitz and Pete Jordan.

Mr. Burch
Brigadier General Irwin Robert (Robs) Burch, Jr.,
87, died in Hamilton Sunday August 21, 2005. Funeral services were set for 11 a.m. August 24 at St. John Lutheran Church.
He was born in Lander, Wyoming on Oct. 15, 1917, the son of Irwin and Viola Battrum Burch.
He graduated from San Diego State College with a Bachelors Degree in History and from the University of California, Berkeley with a Master’s Degree.
Mr. Burch was married to Billie Perkins.
He entered into the Air Force National Guard in 1948 and served 30 years before retiring in 1977. He first served in the Air National Guard and later, when the military was restructuring, Mr. Burch was instrumental in the organizing and the establishment of the California Air National Guard in 1954. Under his guidance the California Air National Guard became a model for the establishment of state Air National Guard units throughout the country. While in the Air National Guard he obtained the rank of full Bird Colonel. Fellow officers and superiors were impressed with his abilities and some referred to him as being a logistical genius
After more than 30 years of service, he retired from the military in 1977. At the time of his retirement from military service, Mr. Burch was so highly respected the Governor of the State of California conferred upon him the rank of Brigadier General.
After his retirement from the military, he served for a number of years in various volunteer positions with Wycliffe Bible Translators. This included extended assignments to Australia and Africa as well as several years at the International Linguistics Center in Dallas.
Mr. Burch had lived in Hamilton since 1998 and was a member of St John Lutheran Church. He was an avid reader and enjoyed studying the Bible, anything related to history, visiting with his neighbors, and going out to eat.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Shirley Burch Kent and his youngest daughter, Jill Burch.
Survivors include his daughter, Beverly Herrera of Dublin, Calif.; his son, Robert Burch of Fresno, Calif.; and a niece, Carolyn Kent of Hamilton; four grandchildren, Audrey Rae Ann Burch, Mia Lydia Teetsel, Ali Audrey Herrera, and Dino Fernando Herrera; two great-grandchildren, Marina Cathryn Teetsel, and Ava Beverly Teetsel. He is also survived by his best friend, His Immanence.
Mr. Burch had many friends throughout his life. In the final years one friend, Jaci Bernhardt, became his caretaker.

Mr. Boase
Bill Boase, 81 of Hamilton, died in Waco Friday afternoon. Funeral services were held Sept. 26 in Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Father Stan Sullivan officiating. Burial following in Oakwood Cemetery.
Mr. Boase was born March 14, 1924 in Burkburnett, the son of H.L. Boase and Emma Price Boase.
He was a veteran of the Army serving in the Signal Corps. He was a member of the V.F.W. and the American Legion.
On December 10, 1946 in Graham, he was married to Fern Vick. He retired as building manger for DE Golyer & McNaughton Company in Dallas prior to moving to Hamilton.
He is preceded in death by an infant child; a son, William Michael Boase and two brothers.
He is survived by his wife Fern Boase of Hamilton.
The family has designated St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Hamilton for memorials.
Pallbearers were Dale Sommerfeld, James Green, Jim Schooler, Jimmy Whitt, Dr. James R. Lee and Ralph Lee.
Honorary Pallbearers were Charlie Bryan, Dean Jones, Dan Gunn, Charles York, Fred Grote and Robert Delaughter.

Walter Lee (W.L.) Gardner, 87, died on Nov. 15, 2005, in the Hamilton General Hospital. Funeral services were held by Kevin Cude at the chapel at Blue Ridge Cemetery on Nov. 17. Burial was in the Blue Ridge Cemetery.
He was married to Mary Jane Kelly on December 9, 1938.
Mr. Lee was preceded in death by his parents Luther and Molissie Gardner; brothers, Ivan Gardner of Wyoming, A.P. Gardner of Mansfield, L.W. Gardner, Jr. of Hamilton; his sister Joy Gardner Neie of Corrales, NM; and son-in-law Bruce Bomar, Jr. of Gatesville.
Survivors include his four children, Caroll Gardner of Hamilton; Mary Faye Bomar of Gatesville, W.L. Gardner Jr., and wife Diann, of Waxahachie, and Ray Gardner of Hamilton; six grandchildren, Curt Bomar and Casey Bomar and wife Penny of Gatesville, Wesley Gardner, Wade Gardner, and Waylon Gardner of Waxahachie, and Joy Gardner Votaw of Whitney and ten great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Curt Bomer, Casey Bomar, T.P. Medlock, Ben Brumbalow, Bobby Sellers and Richard Kalweit.

Elton “David” Bennett, 50, of Rogers, died Nov. 13 in Temple. Funeral services were held Nov. 16 in Temple Garden of Memories with the Rev. Stan Brister officiating.
Mr. Bennett was born and reared in Rogers where he attennded elementary and high school. He was employed as a truck driver all of his life.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Bennett; three sons, Dustin S. Bennett, Rustin L. Bennett and Justin D. Bennett, all of Temple; his father, Elton Bennett of Hamilton and three brothers, Milton James York of Heidenheimer, Koy Bennett and Aaron Bennett, both of Hamilton.

Preble Elizabeth Lowe, 86, died Nov. 13 in Woodland Park, Colo. Graveside services were held Nov. 18 at Elmwood Memorial Park with Rev. H.B. Terry officiating.
Mrs. Lowe was born March 23, 1919, the daughter of Allie Foster and Zona Goolsby Foster in Anson.
She graduated from Anson High School and attended Hardin-Simmons University. She was a resident of Hamilton, Waco and Abilene before moving to Woodland Park, Colo.
While living in Hamilton she was a member of the First Baptist Church and “Neighbor to Neighbor” organization. She was a service representative for Southwestern Bell in Abilene and Waco for 35 years and a member of the Southwestern Bell Retirees Club.
She was married to Robert Wilmouth Lowe in Abilene. He preceded her in death on Feb. 14, 1992. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her son and his wife, Bob and Kathy Lowe of Green Mountain Falls, Colo; seven grandchildren, Michael Lowe, David Lowe, Matthew Lowe, Kathleen Lowe, Steven Lowe, Andrew Lowe and Bob Lowe Jr. and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Robert Edgar Newsom, Jr. age 74, of Creekside, PA., died Nov. 19, 2005, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. Funeral Services were held at the Clark Chapel of the Bauer Funeral Home on Nov. 21 with the Rev. Ed. Billock officiating. Burial will be in Atwood Cemetery in Armstrong Co., PA.
Mr. Newsom was born March 24, 1931 in Hamilton County, the son of Robert Edgar and Valley Rae (Jones) Newsom, Sr.
He was a member of Grace Independent Baptist Church, Shelocta, PA and a Marine Corp Veteran. He was the co-owner of the Brookview Country Manor Assisted Living. He was a coal miner for eighteen years, retiring in 1981.
He was preceded in death by his parents, R. Edgar Newsom, Sr. and Valley Rae (Jones) Newsom; one grandson, Robert Eugene Newsom; one sister, Mary Jo Barry and one brother, Master Sergeant, Gilbert W. Roberts.
Survivors include his wife, Audrey (Yount) Newsom whom he married May 3, 1958 of Creekside, PA; a son, Eugene Newsom and his wife Bonnie of Creekside, PA; five daughters, Darlene Rupert and her husband Larry of Elderton, PA; Charold Silvis and her husband Jack of Coeburn, VA; Brenda Bash and her husband Jerry of Creekside, PA; Robin Gillespie and her partner David of Apollo, PA; and Roberta Erdley and her partner Johnny of Dayton, PA.; fourteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren; and one sister, Nelda Donahoo and her husband Billy of Hamilton and many loving nieces and nephews.
