Mrs. Pittman

Evelyn White Pittman died Jan. 20, 2003 in Abilene. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25 at Riley Funeral Home in Hamilton with burial in the Odd Fellows Cemetery.
She was born on the White Homestead on the Leon River North of Hamilton, the daughter of George Walker White and Nola Beth Thompson. She is the granddaughter of Alexander Perry White, the great-granddaughter of John S. White and the niece of Dal and Ryder White, all longtime residents of Hamilton County.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Olen Brown; a son Eugene; a sister, Vilot Short and a brother, Norman Glenn White.
Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Albert; a son, Danny Brown of San Antonio; two daughters, Janice Deustch of Odessa, Janet Kirk of Longmont, Colo; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. White

Marie Price White, 92, died Jan. 14, 2003 in Austin. Funeral services were held Jan. 18 at Evant Funeral Chapel.
Mrs. White was born December 31, 1910 in Evant, the daughter of Holland Young and Emmaline Martin Price.
She was married to Gus F. White in Lubbock, on June of 1936. She received a master’s degree in music education from the University of Texas and taught music in Travis County schools until her retirement. She was a member of the University Methodist Church of Austin, where she was an active choir member for more than 50 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Wallace White; two sisters and four brothers.
Survivors include a son, Houston White of Austin and three grandsons, Luke, Levon, and Waylon, survive.

Mr. Wilkinson

Floyd L. Wilkinson, 76 of Proctor died Jan. 16 at Abilene. Graveside funeral services were held Jan. 18 at Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton.
He was born July 9, 1926 at Sudan, Texas, the son of Joseph Gene Wilkinson and Mary Ellen Cummings Wilkinson. He was married to Arlema Ingle going on April 1, 1971. She preceded him in death on Sept. 24, 1978.
He was a retired supervisor from American Linen Co. with forty-two years of service. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Opha Wilkinson and two brothers Lloyd Francis Wilkinson and Wayne Wilkinson.
Survivors include two stepdaughters Bessie Hoilder and Merle Deisher of Comanche; two stepsons Gene Whisenant of Dublin and H.M. Whisenant of Stephenville; five sisters, Genevieve Kerr of Sudan, Mary Jo Attaway of Casper Wyoming, Mable Wages of Earth, Ruby Grace Gipson of Gig Harbor Washington and one brother Jimmy Wilkinson of Proctor.

Mrs. Willeford

Doris Edwards Willeford, 88, died March 3, 2003 at her daughter’s home in Flowery Branch, Ga.
Mrs. Willeford was born in Fairy, on July 14, 1914, the daughter of Rice and Jesse Joiner Edwards. She was married to Oran Reynolds Willeford on December 16, 1934. With the exception of several months during Oran’s service during World War II, she lived her entire life in Fairy until her move to Georgia in May of 2001.
She was a faithful member of the Fairy Baptist Church, and at the time of her death was its longest living member. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW in Iredell.
Doris was a skilled seamstress and spent a number of years while her daughters were in school working with the Fairy 4-H Club. She enjoyed card and domino games, and at the age of 85 began communicating with her friends via e-mail.
After her move to Georgia, she enjoyed attending the Christian Women’s League and was Mrs. Claus at the University Yacht Club children’s party last December.
Her indomitable spirit and courage will be missed by all whose lives she touched.
Mrs. Willeford is survived by her daughter Doran and son-in-law Wiley Stanford of Flowery Branch, Ga.
She was preceded in death by her husband Oran, her daughter Delia Levy and her grandson Toby Levy.
Memorials may be made to the Fairy Baptist Church.
Pallbearers: Larry Willeford, Don Bullard and Rusty Harris, Bobby Ray, Matt Ray, David Ray, Evant Brown and J.B. Hambrick.

Mrs. Busch

Thelma H. Busch 89, died in Hamilton on March 7, 2003. Funeral services were held March 10 in St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Aleman, Pastor Donald Bahr officiating. Burial followed in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery at Aleman.
Mrs. Busch was born September 22, 1913 in Hamilton County, the daughter of Robert and Matilda Kelm Schrank. She was baptized February 11, 1913 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church by Pastor E.F. Morbe. Pastor E.F. Morbe confirmed her at St. Paul's Lutheran Church on April 8, 1928.
She has lived all of her life in Hamilton County except for working two years during World War II at the Naval Base in Grand Prairie.
On May 31, 1944 she was married to Hugo E. Busch at Aleman, Texas. He preceded her in death on July 9, 1987. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include one daughter, Frances and son-in-law Lewis Wunderlich of Bruceville; three step-grandchildren, Jeanette Marie Wheeler of Moody, Cynthia Anne Howard of Cedar Fall, Iowa; eight step-great-grandchildren; two sisters Erna Smith of Hamilton, Norma Lee of Grand Prairie; one brother Vernon Schrank of Aleman; two nieces and one nephew.
She is preceded in death by her husband, two sisters and three brothers.
Pallbearers were Oscar Melde, David Melde, Ray Messiner, Alan Schrank, Lloyd Melde and Marvin Schrank.

Miss Faubion

Angel Hope Faubion, 26, died March 7, 2003. Funeral services were conducted March 9, 2003 with Rev. Rhodes officiating followed by burial at Whitt Cemetery in Whitt.
She was born April 24, 1976 in Weatherford, the daughter of Leonard and Linda Faubion. She attended and graduated from Perrin-Whitt High School in 1994.
Survivors include her fiancé Jimmy Conner of Whitt; her mother Linda Pack of Whitt; her father Leonard Faubion and wife Gail of Hamilton; six brothers, Perry Faubion and wife Katie of Palo Pinto, C.H. Faubion of Boise, Idaho, James Faubion of Abilene, Matthew Pack of Whitt, Charles Kinder Jr. and wife Jennifer of Mineral Wells and Jason Pack and his wife Niki of Wichita Falls; two sisters, Priscilla Brock and husband Randall of Perrin, Brenda Hickey and husband Joe of Weatherford; an aunt, Betty Harrison of Weatherford; great aunt Faye Wyler of Weatherford; an uncle, Tommy Faubion of Abilene; numerous nieces, and nephews, great nieces and nephew and one cousin, Lisa Franklin of Weatherford and special friend Patricia Strawn of Weatherford.
She is preceded in death by a sister, Misti Dawn Faubion and grandmother Trula Wyler.

Mr. Dyer

Vernon Carroll Dyer Sr., 85, died March 9, 2003 at his home in Covington, La. Funeral services are pending.
Mr. Dyer was born January 24, 1918 in Bastrop County, the son of Will Dyer and Ethel Irene Davis Dyer.
He went into the military at the age of 18 in Austin, Texas. He joined the Army and was sent to Dodd Field where he was assigned to the 5th Calvary. There he served in Troop E from 1936 - 1939 at Fort Clark, Texas. From there he went into the Air Force.
Mr. Dyer was a First Lt by the age 21 and served in the World War II European Theatre Campaign. He flew an A20 Douglas Bomber in the Air Force and was shot down over England losing the sight in his right eye. He received the Purple Heart and Distinguished Flying Medal and many other medals.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Rodney Carroll Dyer, three brothers, William Dyer, Leroy Dyer and Jimmy Dyer, two wives, Vesta Owen Dyer and Gloria Tkach Dyer.
Survivors include his wife Doris of Covington, La, his daughter Ethel Mae Dyer Townsend and husband Roy of Star, a son, Vernon Carroll Dyer Jr. “Buddy” and his wife Paula of Des Moines, Iowa, six grandchildren, Connie Townsend Mayhew and husband Clint Mayhew, Donna Townsend Henry and husband Bryan Henry, Gary Dean Townsend, Lisa Andrea Dyer, Josh Dyer and Adam Dyer; seven great- grandchildren, Jason Henry and wife Tandy, Macayla Henry, Clay Mayhew, Curtis Mayhew, Cortney Mayhew and Cullen Mayhew and two great-great-grandaughters, Amber Henry and Madison Henry; a brother, Donald Edward Dyer of Pflugerville and a step-sister, Mickey Malone Owen.

Mr. Chesley

Robert Elwood Chesley of Ojai died May 5, 2003. A memorial service was held May 10 in the outdoor chapel of The Thacher School.
He was born in Hamilton on April 23, 1932, the son of Joseph Theodore and Lois Cameron Chesley. After the death of his father, Mr. Chesley moved to Ojai Valley at the age of 16 to attend the Thacher School. He later received a B.S. in physics and an M.A. in education from Stanford University. While at Stanford, he met and married Alice McKinney with whom he raised a family and shared a love for friends, travel and life.
After a short stint in the Army, he returned to The Thacher School in 1957 to teach physics and math.
Mr. Chesley enjoyed astronomy, photography, the outdoors, flying and ham radio. As his experience in education grew, Mr. Chesley expanded his horizons in conjunction with Harvard Project Physics.
He worked for the Department of Education in Washington, D.C. beginning in 1970, ultimately managing The Education Research Information Center.
In 1983 he returned again to the Ojai Valley as Business Manager of The Thacher School. After retirement, he pursued his love of flight and built his own airplane, which he first flew in 1999.
He belonged to the Ojai Rotary Club and served on the Boards of The Ojai Valley School and C.R.E.W.
He is preceded in death by his son Michael.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Alice; two sons, John and Matthew; a daughter-in-law, Julie and grandchildren, Peyton, Michael and Cole.

Mrs. Wilson

Doris Nell Adair Wilson of Hamilton departed this earth on May 9, 2003. Funeral services were conducted May 12, 2003 at Lamkin United Methodist Church with the Rev. James Ballard officiating. Interment followed in Toliver Cemetery.
She was born November 14, 1925 in Uvalde, Texas the daughter of Albert Lyman Adair and Marjorie Maude Habermacher Adair.
Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her parents; her only child, Kara Ruth Smith and two brothers, Bill and Glen Adair.
Survivors include three brothers, Joe Adair of the Lamkin Community; Weaver Adair of Breckenridge and Alfred Adair of Georgetown; her granddaughter Michelle and husband Michael Wheeler with their three children; Sasha and daughter Alyssa, Christopher and Brittany Wheeler of Lubbock along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Michael Wheeler, Jubal Adair, Dee Adair, Kenney Adair, Tim Nesbitt and Wayne Cobb.

Mrs. Grisham

Ethel Hamrick Grisham, 92, died May 9, 2003 at Hamilton. Graveside funeral services were held May 12, 2003 at Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Lawrence Mulloy officiating.
Mrs. Grisham was born July 19, 1910 in Hamilton County, the daughter of the late T.H. and Sally Ann Kincheloe Hamrick.
She was a devoted and loving wife and mother and a member of the Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband Herbert Andrew Grisham with his passing on March 23, 1974 and by two brothers, Vernon (Buck) Hamrick and T.C. (Chan) Hamrick.
She is survived by her daughter, Frankie Grisham Veazey and son-in-law Ed of Arlington.

Mrs. Gasparini

Myra (Schrank) Gasparini, 50, died May 5 in Bedford. Funeral services were held May 8 in the sanctuary of St. Paul Lutheran Church with burial at Greenwood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Gasparini was a chief clerk in facilities and plant engineering for Lockheed Martin. She had 24 years of service for the company.
She was born Feb. 23, 1953 in Hamilton, the daughter of Paul and Edna Schrank. She graduated from Hamilton High School in 1971 and was also a graduate of Fort Worth School of Business.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Edna Schrank and a son, John Paul Gasparini.
Survivors include her daughters, Amanda Gasparini and Sabrina Gasparini as well as numerous aunts and uncles in Hamilton County and extended family members.
