Mrs. Wiesepape

June Chapman Wiesepape, 75, died on January 8, after a recent battle with cancer. Funeral services were held Jan. 11, 2005 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Pottsville with Pastor Peter K. Anderson officiating. Burial followed in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery at Pottsville.
Mrs. Wiesepape was born on Nov. 19, 1929 in Ballinger, the daughter of Sid and Lorene Chapman. She was baptized and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Pottsville.
She was married to Curtis Mayfield Wiesepape on March 29, 1947. Their marriage was blessed with three children: Karran, Sandra, and Ronald.
The couple lived in Ballinger where Mrs. Wiesepape raised her three children and took care of their home. They later moved to Priddy and bought a farm at Indian Gap where they have lived for the past 45 years.
Mrs. Wiesepape worked many years for Pete and Lois Tiemann at the Toddy House. She also worked for Hill Country Community Action where she drove the HOP. She provided assistance for the elderly, as well as the small children in the community. The school children she drove for referred to her affectionately as June Bug. She was a loving and caring person who was always there for her family and friends when they needed her.
Mrs. Wiesepape was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers-in-law.
Survivors include her husband, Curtis; her children, Karran and Tommy Petett of Crowley, Sandra and Marvin Witte of Hamilton, and Ronald Wiesepape of Priddy; a sister, JoAnn Herring of San Angelo; a brother, Glen Chapman and wife Kathryn of Kerrville; a sister-in-law, Irene Manske of Adkins; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren and numerous relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Bradley Petett, Shelley Voges, Jason Evans, Amy Williams, Lisa Petett, Robin Witte, Jodi Evans, Brian Williams, Derek Voges, Kacie Williams.

Mr. Berry

Odis Lee Berry, 76, died at his residence Jan. 3, 2005. Funeral services were held Jan. 8 in the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with George Tolbert officiating. Burial followed in the Blue Ridge Cemetery.
Mr. Berry was born Oct. 8, 1928 at Fort Worth, Texas. He was the son of Ozella and Sudie Mae Killion Berry.
He was a dedicated father, grandfather, great grandfather and a friend to many.
Mr. Berry was a veteran serving his country honorably with over 30 years of service. He served in the Marines, Air Force and the Texas National Guard serving in WW II, Korea and Desert Storm. He was a Mason, a Shiner, a member of D.A.V, a lifetime member of the American Legion and the V.F.W.
On May 1, 1950 he was united in marriage with Judy Herndon at Dallas. They shared 51 years of life together prior to her passing on Jan. 25, 2002.
Mr. Berry was a self employed welder, dozer operator and general problem solver. He had a large range of talents and shared his knowledge with all that knew him.
Survivors include his son, Allan Berry and wife Sandra of Austin; a daughter, Judy Brizendine and husband David of Austin; two granddaughters, Amy Layton and husband Chris and April Solomine and her husband Chris, all of Austin; two great-grandchildren, Michael and Preston Solomine both of Austin; three sisters, Laura A. Macy of Cabot, Ark., Oveta Middleton of Fort Worth, Mary L. Simons of Edgecliff Village and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Tommy Craig, Wayne Craig, Baylous Brown, Randall Craig, Dave Middleton, Fred Cox, Keith Curry, Murlin Bottlinger.
military Honors were provided by the U.S. Army, Fort Hood, Texas.

Mr. Williams

Johnie Floyd Williams, 80, of Hamilton died Feb. 25, 2006 at his residence. Funeral services were held Feb. 28 at Carlton Baptist Church with Bro. David Keith officiating. Burial was in Hico Cemetery.
Mr. Williams was born March 31, 1925 at Stamford. He had lived in Hamilton for a year and was a farmer and a member of the First Baptist Church in Hamilton.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Prior to moving to Hamilton, Mr. Williams had lived on his farm at Hico for more than 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Charline Williams in 1982; his parents, Jim Williams and Jewel Hudson Williams Turner; sisters, Lola Kennedy, Virginia Underhill and brothers, Lee Williams and Ola Williams.
Survivors include a brother, Carl Williams of Meeker, Colo; a cousin, Dorothy Smith of Kerrville; nieces, Linda McClary, Michelle Sims, Cherry Gross, Vickie Muntz, Julie Underhill, Camille Sims, April Gross and Judy Bigham; nephews, James Schrick, Jon Schrick, Paul Erroll Schrick, Danny Ray Kennedy, Ryan Hilscher, Mason Hartung and Bobby Gross.

Mr. Harelik

Sam Harelik, noted long time Waco men's clothing store owner and civic worker, died Feb. 25 at his home. A graveside service was held at Congregation Agudath Jacob Cemetery at 4 pm Sunday, February 26. A memorial service was held at Congregation Agudath Jacob, 4925 Hillcrest Dr. on Feb. 26 with Rabbi Gordon Fuller, officiating.
Born to Russian immigrants Haskell and Matley Harelik on Nov. 19, 1914 in Hamilton, Mr. Harelik was the oldest of three brothers.
He was president of his senior class and quarterback of his high school football team before graduating at the age of 16 from Hamilton High School and leaving to attend college at the University of Texas. World War II interrupted his college career and Sam served in the Navy in the south Pacific under Admiral Nimitz before returning to Texas at the war's end.
He was married to Wacoan Margaret Rosen Harris on May 20, 1947 and the couple had twin sons, Leibel and Harry Harelik before moving to Waco, Texas in 1951 to open Harlik's Man's Shop. The Hareliks remained in business for 33 years, surviving the 1953 Waco Tornado early in their business careers.
Mr. Harelik was a long time member of the Founder's Lion's club as well as the Karem Shrine and Congregation Agudath Jacob, where he was a long time board member and past president. He was active in Downtown Waco, Inc, was a past President of the Jewish Federation of Waco and was a popular reading tutor to students of Crestview Elementary school before his illness.
Survivors include his wife; his son Harry of Waco and son Leibel and his wife, Debbie of Austin; five grandchildren, Adam and Noah Harelik of Houston, Alyssa Harelik Morrow and husband Eric of Plano, Jarrod Harelik of Plano, Joshua Harelik of Diamond Bar, California; step-grandchildren Sarah and Dakota Palmer of Austin; brother Milton and wife, Dorothy of Hamilton; sister-in-law Julia Ellis of Houston; brothers-in-law Joe Rosen and wife, Sue of Arkansas and Arthur Rosen and wife, Ruby of San Marcus; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers are the board and members of Congregation Agudath Jacob, the members of the Founder’s Lions Club of Waco, and the members of Waco Karem Shrine.

Mr. Gardner

Wade W. Gardner, 86, died Feb. 21 at the Crestview Acres Nursing Home following an extended illness. Funeral services were held Feb. 24 at Stewart Funeral Home and conducted by Pastor Ron Marrow. military rites followed and burial was in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Hazleton, Iowa. military rites were conducted by the American Legion Hanford Post #5.
Mr. Gardner was born Oct. 6, 1919 in LaFayette Springs, Miss., the son of Foster and Lilla Barbee Gardner.
He graduated from Hamilton High School and attended college in Austin. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II.
Mr. Gardner was married to Mary Lois Copp on Sept. 27, 1946 in Mason City, Iowa. He worked for Northwestern Railroad as a train dispatcher for more than 34 years, retiring Dec. 29, 1980.
Mr. Gardner was a member of the AMVETS and the ATDA. He loved gardening and won many ribbons for his vegetables at the North Eastern Iowa Fair. He also loved bluegrass music and taking long walks.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jerry and wife Gloria of Council Bluffs and Roger and wife Judy of Mason City, Iowa; three daughters, Joan and husband George Moger of Marion, Brenda and husband Arlon Parish of Las Cruces, NM, Margaret and husband Wesley Hardman of Cedar Rapids; a brother, Bradley and wife Sue Gardner of Kerrville; a sister Zula and husband Hobart of Hunter; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mrs. Munger

Marjorie Marcum Munger, 60,died on Feb. 24, 2006 in Lake Havasu City, Ariz. Services will be held on March 3 at Valley of the Sun Mortuary in Arizona.
Mrs. Munger was born in Hamilton and moved to Arizona in 1975. She was
a graduate of Monterey High School in Lubbock earned an AA Degree in Business.
She retired with her husband in 2000 and moved to Lake Havasu City.
Survivors include her husband Harold of 24 years; her children, Kent Odorizzi, Kris Rasmussen and husband Dan, Kathryn Odorizzi, Donald Munger and wife Suzette and Cranston Munger and wife Kim; 11 grandchildren, Piper Rasmussen, Landry Rasmussen, Garett Rasmussen,
Keith Munger, Brandon Munger, Samantha Munger, Justin Munger, Demi Munger, Samantha Carroll, Jessica Carroll and Baylie Carroll; three brothers, Phillip Marcum and wife Barbara, Spencer Marcum and Rod Marcum.

Mrs. Kreder

Ayleen Estes Kreder, 90, died Feb. 24, 2006 in Hamilton. Funeral services were held in the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lawrence Mulloy officiating. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Kreder was born February 16, 1916 at Gatesville, the daughter of the late James Julius Estes and Lucy Ann Carroll Estes.
On January 7, 1958 she was married to Werner Richard Ernest Kreder. He preceded her in death on June 16, 1988.
Mrs. Kreder was a devoted and loving wife and mother. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Janis Diane Kreder Morgan May 25, 1997; her parents; two sisters, Lera Nolte and Edna Dyson, and four brothers; Otha Estes, Johnny Estes, Thurman Estes and Wayne Estes.
Survivors include a son-in-law, Stanley Morgan of Hamilton; three grandchildren, Heather Hansard of Hamilton, Hoyt Morgan Jr. of Hamilton and John Morgan of Stephenville; three great-grandchildren, Jaxon Hansard, Ashtyn Hansard and MacKinsy Morgan and by several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be James Lively, Dennis Connelly, Jim Dyson, Carroll Estes, Dr. Ping N. Tan, Earl Loewe, and Robert Loewe.

Mr. Tucker

Kenneth Dwyane Tucker
of Waco, died Feb. 21, 2006 in a Waco hospital. Graveside funeral services were held Feb. 24 at Energy Cemetery.
He was born Jan. 1, 1961 in Knox City, the son of Kenneth Louis Tucker and Christell Magness. He worked as a salesman for many years and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his mother, Christell Magness of Hamilton; father Kenneth Louis Tucker; one daughter, Christie Garner of Hewitt; three brothers, Marty Tucker of Evant, Randy Tucker of Decatur Ala., Robert Tucker of Bedis; two step-brothers, Bob Magness of Midlothian and Bill Magness of Sulphur Springs, and his step- mother Colleen Tucker.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Regina Tucker and his step-father, Billy Magness.
Pallbearers were Bob Magness, Robert Klafka, Marty Tucker Sr., Marty Tucker Jr. and Randy Tucker.

Mrs. Newton

Birty Faye Newton, 71, died at her residence on Feb. 22, 2006. Funeral services were held Feb. 25 in the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Townsend officiating. Burial followed in Oakwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Newton was born Jan. 5, 1934 in Peacock, the daughter of John Henry and Ethel Beeman.
She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and friend to many. Her family was her life. She enjoyed family gatherings, preparing meals, traveling and camping. She worked as a cook to help support her family and for the enjoyment of the communities where she lived.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Monty Doyle Armstrong in 1957; a daughter, Katherine L. Armstrong in 1998 and two brothers.
Survivors include her eight children, Ernest Armstrong of Lafayette La., David Armstrong, Wesley Armstrong, Patricia Morris, Connie Vaught, Richard Beaty, Charlene Stockton and Brandon Beaty, all of Hamilton; 32 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were David Marshal, William Dudley Stockton, James Wesley Beaty, Terry Don Beaty, Richard Smith, James Wesley Beeman and Darwin Morris.
