Lamb

PITTSBURG - Mack Lamb, 72, of Pittsburg died Friday, Jan. 4, 2002 at East Texas Medical Center Hospital in Tyler.

Services were held at 2 p. m. on Monday, Jan 7 at Reeves Chapel Methodist Church in Pittsburg. Officiating was the Rev. Dale Horton. Burial was in Reeves Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Erman Smith Funeral Home.

Born Dec. 4, 1929 in Mabank, Mr. Lamb was the son of Thomas Everett and Dovie Greenlee Lamb.

He was a retired Chief Master Sergeant for the Texas Air National Guard in Grand Prairie. He retired in 1985 , moving to Pittsburg. He was a member of the Reeves Chapel Methodist Church and was the caretaker for the Reeves Chapel Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Sarah Lamb of Pittsburg; son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Tami Lamb of Grand Prairie; granddaughter, Traci; grandson, William; brother, Jack Lamb of Myrtle Springs; sisters, Marjorie Wallace of Sulphur Springs and Gail Morris of Rowlett.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Mark Lamb , a bother and a sister.

Memorial may be made to Reeves Chapel Methodist Church or cemetery in Pittsburg.

Loughlin

WILLS POINT - Mary Loughlin, 79, of Wills Point, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2002 in Dallas.

Graveside services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8 at Winfield Cemetery under the direction of Harvey Funeral Home. The Rev. Bob Walker officiated.

Mrs. Loughlin was born April 12, 1922 in Muskogee, Okla., the daughter of Joe Hepler and Lydia Bogue. She retired in 1979 from Garland I.S.D. as a school teacher. She was a former resident of Mount Vernon.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Pam and Johnny Daugherty of Wills Point; son and daughter-in-law Roy (Rim) and Billie Loughlin of Garland; grandson and his wife Aaron and Keri Nations of Sierra Vista, Az.; step-grandchildren Michael Sanders of Trophy Club and Shannah Sanders of New York. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Loughlin in August 1983.

Marshall

Billie Elsie Marshall, 73, of Pittsburg, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2002 at The Medical Center of Mesquite.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5 at Erman Smith Funeral Home. The Rev. Steve Packer officiated. Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Howard Perez, Danny Perez, Paul Matkin, Leon Gunn, James Miner and Virgil Bullard.

Mrs. Marshall was born Jan. 19, 1928 in Hunt County. She was a member of the FHA and of the First Baptist Church in Pittsburg.

She is survived by her daughter Vikki Perez of Dallas; grandchildren Howard Perez and Danny Perez, both of Dallas; great-grandchildren Colleen, Jordan and Carmen Perez; and sister Juanell Alverson of Pittsburg. She was preceded in death by her husband Sanford Marshall; and parents Earnest and Ona Smiley Robertson.

Owens

Myrtle Owens, 87, of Mount Pleasant, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2002 at I.H.S. Nursing Home.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 3 at Bates-Cooper Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Glenn Griffith l officiated. Interment was in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Troy Owens, Bill Owens, Ashley Willson, Trey Cockerell, Mike Coke, Chuck Coke and Robby Holcomb.

Mrs. Owens was born Feb. 20, 1914 in Soper, Okla. She was a homemaker and a member of Nevill’s Chapel Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law William Joyce and Linda Owens of Mount Pleasant; daughters and sons-in-law Jeanette Coke, Frances and Bobby Holcomb, Nora Lee and Gary Byers, all of Mount Pleasant, Betty and Billy Willson of Conroe; brothers J.T. Manes and V.C. Manes, both of Dallas; sisters Margaret Nichols of Palacious and Helen Miles of Dallas; and grandchildren Chuck and Mike Coke, Robby Holcomb, Trey Cockerell, Cindy Dillard, Rhonda Bowers, Bill Owens, Ashley Willson, Mistie Sloan, Troy Owens, Melissa Willson and Julie Owens; 16 great-grandchildren; special friend Rhonda Grubbs. She was preceded in death by her husband William Troy Owens; three sisters; two brothers; parents Cleveland and Nora Helms Manes; son-in-law Charles Coke.

Richardson

Ralph Robert Richardson, 79, of Pittsburg, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2001, at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 3, 2002, at Fellowship Baptist Church in Pittsburg under the direction of Erman Smith Funeral Home of Pittsburg. The Revs. Gene Lee and David Kizer officiated. Interment was at 3:30 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 3, 2002, at Algoma Memorial Gardens in Marshall. military graveside rites were conducted by the Jefferson Veterans of Foreign Wars of Jefferson. Pallbearers were Jamie Lynn Richardson, James Roy Richardson, Gene Tell, Tommy Knight, Dan McNutt and Monte Faulkinberry.

Mr. Richardson was born September 16, 1922, in Asher, Okla., the son of Carl and Tina Belle Brown Richardson. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a recipient of the Purple Heart. Mr. Richardson was a retired welder and a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Pittsburg.

He is survived by his wife Ruth A. Richardson of Pittsburg; sons and daughter-in-law Roy G., and Debbie Richardson and Robert E. Richardson, all of Marshall; daughters and sons-in-law Cassandra Ruth and the Rev. Gene Tell of Vidor and Rhonda Marie and Tommy Knight of Columbia, Mo.; brothers A.G.”Buck” Richardson of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Billy Carl Richardson of Cleveland, Okla.; sisters Velda Fern Smith of Pittsburg, Okla., and Oletta Joyce Matthews of Crescent, Okla.; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter-in-law and one grandchild.

Rolston

SAN ANTONIO - Butler Rolston, 74, of San Antonio, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2002 at his residence in San Antonio.

Graveside services were at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Pittsburg under the direction of Erman Smith Funeral Home. The Rev. Steve Packer officiated.

Mr. Rolston was born May 27, 1927. He served in the Army and was affiliated with the Baptist church. He was a retired dispatcher for a trucking company.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law David and Paulette Rolston of Pittsburg; son-in-law Johnny Marshall of Pittsburg; daughter Lou Anne and Roger Pierce of Pittsburg; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one sister Mary Helen Grayley of Dallas. He was preceded in death by his parents Dillard C. and Loueta Gillespie Rolston; and daughter Cindy Marshall in 1999.

Vick

PITTSBURG - Mary Olive Vick, 66, of Pittsburg, died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2002 in Longview.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8 at Bethel Baptist Church. The Rev. Doyle Rust will officiate. Interment was in Macedonia Cemetery under the direction of Erman Smith Funeral Home.

Mrs. Vick was born Dec. 18, 1935 in Camp County. She was retired from Mike Benet Formals as a seamstress. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Ronnie and Nina Vick of Longview, and Larry and Kathy Vick of Denton; four grandchildren; and sisters Ruby Kilburn and Gladys Alsobrook, both of Pittsburg. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Vick in 1997; and parents Bobbie and Beulah Kadle Pilgrim.

Wilhite

Lillian Wilhite, 83, of Mount Pleasant, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2001 at Titus Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1 at Curry-Welborn Funeral Home Chapel. Jim Parker l officiated. Interment was in Coopers Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers were Roy Willmon, Gene Campbell, Leon Philpot, Hall Hix, Dale Raney and V.C. Wilbanks. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Raney.

Mrs. Wilhite was born Dec. 13, 1918 in Titus County, the daughter of William Gaston Rainey and Julia Maye Redden. She was a housewife and a member of North Ridge Church of Christ.

She is survived by her daughter Vickie Wilhite of Mount Pleasant; son and daughter-in-law Paul and Connie Wilhite of Mount Pleasant; grandchildren Bryan Wilhite of College Station, Bradley Wilhite of Mount Pleasant; sister Helen Muff of Arlington; sister-in-law Freda Rainey of Mount Pleasant; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Herman Wilhite; brother Grady Rainey; sister Johnnie Sellars.

Ingersoll

DAINGERFIELD - John Graydon Ingersoll, 76, of Daingerfield died Sunday, Dec. 29, 2002 at Windsor Place Nursing Center in Daingerfield.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31 at Daingerfield Cemetery under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home. The Rev. Ed Wunderlich will officiate.

Mr. Ingersoll was born Dec. 7, 1926 in Edmore, North Dakota, the son of Charles H. and Amy J. Ingersoll. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Longview. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during World War II and the Korean War. He was retired from Lone Star Steel Company and was a life member and former commander of the VFW Post 1890.

He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law Clarissa and Randy Chapman of Mount Pleasant, Amy and Wayne Akard of Irving; the children's mother Jeanette Nolen of Longview; his special Windsor Place "family." He was preceded in death by his three brothers; and one sister.

The family will receive visitors from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Loveall

MOUNT VERNON - Russell Loveall, 78, of Mount Vernon died Sunday, Dec. 29, 2002 in Mount Vernon.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 1 at Harvey Funeral Home Chapel. Dale Jordan will officiate. Interment will be in Providence Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Minton, Jim Richards, Mark McEnturff, John Mullen, Doug Geeslin and Red Geeslin. Honorary pallbearers will be Wil Radican, Toy Godfrey, Joe Beadles, Tony Radican, Sam Jumper and Mark Phillips.

Mr. Loveall was born Feb. 14, 1924 in Chilowee, Mo., the son of Lewis Loveall and Grace Bales.

He is survived by his wife Nell Loveall of Mount Vernon; sons Donny Loveall of Snyder, Dean Loveall of Arizona; daughters Rhonda Loveall and Sandra Loveall, both of California; brothers Gean Loveall of Sedalia, Mo., Carl Loveall of California, Hugh Loveall of Arcadia, Mo.; sisters Margaret Brown of Odessa, Doris Martin of Snyder, Irene Byrd of California, Rosemary Harris of McAllen, Eileen Wilson of Missouri; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his one daughter; and three brothers.

The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Nash

PITTSBURG - Juanita Nash, 76, of Pittsburg died Sunday, Dec. 29, 2002 at her residence in Hallsville.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 2 at Macedonia Cemetery in Pittsburg under the direction of Erman Smith Funeral Home. The Rev. Gene Lee will officiate.

Mrs. Nash was born March 11, 1926 in Pittsburg, the daughter of Jack and Lorene Epperson McElhaney. She was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Vick and Marly Nash of Okinawa, Japan; daughters and sons-in-law Barbara Nash of Pittsburg, Veeta and Charles Richardson of Pittsburg, Gayle and Wayne Arnold of Hallsville; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters Helen Kimbell of Mount Pleasant, Dorthey Tinsley of Mount Pleasant, Lillian Pyeat of Longview; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Virgil Nash; and her parents.

The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pearl Wagstaff
Dec. 9, 1909 — May 24, 2001

MADISONVILLE — Services for Pearl Wagstaff, 91, of Huntsville are set for 3 p.m. Sunday at the First Baptist Church in Madisonville.

The Revs. J.W.L. Adams and Jeff Witcher will officiate. Burial will be in the McAdams Cemetery in Walker County.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m., and from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday at the Madisonville Funeral Home.

Mrs. Wagstaff died Thursday in Huntsville.

She was born in Rusk and lived in Huntsville 27 years. She previously lived in Madisonville for 25 years. She was a former member of the First Baptist Church in Madisonville, where her husband was pastor, and was a member of Cook Springs Baptist Church in Huntsville.

Survivors include her husband, the Rev. T.R. Wagstaff of Huntsville; two sons and daughters-in-law, the Rev. Richard and Martha Wagstaff of Huntsville and the Rev. Robert and Diane Wagstaff of The Woodlands; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary and John Carden of Huntsville; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Oneida B. Hensley
Feb. 20, 1917 — May 25, 2001

Services for Oneida B. Hensley, 84, of Bryan are set for 2 p.m. Monday at Central Baptist Church in Bryan.

The Rev. Chris Osborne of Central Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Rest-Ever Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. to noon Monday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.

Mrs. Hensley died Friday in St. Joseph Regional Health Center.

She was born in Oakdale, La., and lived in Bryan since 1952. She taught world history and government at A&M Consolidated High School from 1960 to her retirement in 1980. She was a member of Central Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school and was an assistant teacher and member of the Ruth Sunday school class. She was a member of the Retired Teacher’s Association and Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority. She received the Liberty Bell Award from the Bar Association and was associated with the Silver Haired Legislature.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tilman Hensley.

Survivors include a son, Ronald Hensley of Bryan; a daughter, Wanda Powell of Bryan; a brother, Carl Burgess of DeQuincy, La.; a sister, Blanche Hunt of Sulphur, La.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Billy Morris Anderson
March 13, 1947 — May 20, 2001

MADISONVILLE — Services for Billy Morris Anderson, 54, of Madisonville are set for 3 p.m. Tuesday at Shiloh Baptist Church in Madisonville.
The Rev. Terry Lewis will officiate.

Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home in Madisonville.

Mr. Anderson died May 20.

Willie Lee Baker
Aug. 18, 1911 — May 26, 2001

MADISONVILLE — Services for Willie Lee Baker, 89, of Madisonville are set for 5 p.m. Sunday at the First United Methodist Church in Madisonville.

The Rev. Dick White of the First United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Madisonville City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the home of Sara and Carl Brassell on Nettles Lane in Madisonville.

Arrangements are under the direction of Madisonville Funeral Home.

Mrs. Baker died Saturday at the home of a daughter.

She was born in Madison County and was a lifelong resident of Madisonville. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and taught school for a few years before becoming a full-time homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Baker.

Survivors include four daughters and three sons-in-law, Linda Westmoreland, Martha and Lloyd Smith, Sara and Carl Brassell and Ola and Dave Stiver, all of Madisonville; a sister-in-law, Fannie Heath of Madisonville; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
