PITTSBURG C Margaret Barry Payne, 86, of Pittsburg died Saturday, May 22, 2004 at Longview Regional Hospital.
There will be a private family service held Thursday, May 27 at her home.
Mrs. Payne was born April 25, 1918 in Calera, Okla., the daughter of Tom and Maime Barry. She graduated from Gilmer High School and worked for the Texas Department of Human Services for 30 years.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Wanda Payne of Rockwall; son-in-law, Steve Smith of Wichita, Kan.; three daughters and a son-in-law, Jo Brunin, Alice and Guy Blasingame, and Jane Gage, all of Gilmer; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Kelly, Kirk, Ian Clennan, Kristi, John-Eric Henry, Ali Fritsche, Barry, Michelle, Brianna Smith, Jodi Gage, Sean, Greg, Stephanie, Haylee, Keagan Smith, Jordan Payne, Jason and Whitney Brunin, and Alexandria Chamberlain; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jean and Truman Elwell of Gilmer, Joyce Bryce of Houston, Ginger and John Shea of Houston; sister-in-law, Virg Barry of Omaha, Neb.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J. W. Payne; her parents; daughter, Linda Smith; son-in-law, Neil Gage; three brothers, Charles, Dick and Don Barry.
Memorials may be made to: Margaret=s House, An In-patient Hospice Home, P.O. Box 9725, Longview, Texas 75608.

Pittman
Services are pending for Charlie Rayford Pittman, who died Sunday, May 23, 2004, with Bates-Cooper Funeral Home.
Mound, Chris Cobb and Jamie Jinks of Naples, Josh and Kami Cobb of Naples, and Natalie Cobb of College Station; two great grandchildren, Reagan Tuck of Flower Mound, and Lexi Cobb of Naples; two brothers, Clifton Cobb of Nacogdoches and Wendell Cobb of Naples.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Lucille Cobb and Paralee Jacobs.
The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Spencer
PITTSBURG C Robert Brison Spencer, 78, of Pittsburg died Saturday, May 22, 2004 at his farm in Camp County.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 25 at Reeves Chapel Methodist Church with Billy Cash officiating. Interment will be in the Elmwood Cemetery in Bowie at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, May 25 under the direction of Erman Smith Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Rodney Reed, Jess Laird, Robert Brison Spencer Jr., Blake Laird, Rex Laird and Remington Reed.
Mr. Spencer was born Jan. 8, 1926 in Pittsburg, the son of William Olvis Spencer and Artie Lucille Brison Spencer. He received a bachelor=s degree from Texas A&M in 1947 and was a member of the Kiddie Corps. He served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Force. He was a rancher after retirement. He was a member of the Reeves Chapel Methodist Church and retired from Dow Chemical and had lived in Gainesville and Graham.
He is survived by one son, Robert Brison Spencer Jr. of Gilmer; two daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce Ann and Rodney Reed of Pittsburg and Susan and Jess Laird of Athens; four grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Ann Spencer Mathis and Harry Mathis of Pittsburg; one sister-in-law, Charlotte Spencer Baker of Tyler.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Hoeldtke Spencer; his parents and one brother, Rex Spencer.
The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Sells
OMAHA C Thomas Bradly Sells, 23, of Omaha died Thursday, May 27, 2004 in Mount Pleasant.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 29 at Alexander Chapel with the Rev. Nolan Richey officiating. Interment was at the Springhill Cemetery under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home.
Mr. Sells was born Nov. 1, 1980 in Sulpher Springs.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Sells of Omaha; parents, David and Sue Harrod of Omaha; three brothers, Chris Sells of Dallas, David Harrod and Paul Harrod both of Austin; grandparents, T.J. and Dorothy Brown of Hughes Springs; mother and father-in-law, Jerry and Micki Anderson of Cookville.

Morgan
Mildred Alice Combs Morgan, 95, of Mount Pleasant died Tuesday, June 1, 2004 in Mount Pleasant.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 3 at Bates-Cooper Chapel with Dr. Gaylon Riddle and Bro. Jackie Barrett officiating. Interment will be in the Edwards Cemetery under the direction of Bates-Cooper Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Tommy Stansell, Mark Stansell, Buddy Blue, Chuck Spencer, Dana Harris and Charlie Blalock. Honorary pallbearers will be James Stansell, David Myers, Jimmy Rogers, Rex Kidwell, Dean McCollum and Baxter Moore.
Mrs. Morgan was born April 15, 1909 in Franklin County, the daughter of W.F. ABill@ and Elizabeth Manley Combs. She was a homemaker and a member of Highland Park Baptist Church for over 50 years and a member of Ruth Sunday School Class, Rebekah Lodge, Life Membership Mount Pleasant Chapter #305 Order of The Eastern Star and past President of Titus County AARP.
She is survived by her son, Pat Morgan of Pittsburg; her daughter, Linda Pelz of Marshall; grandchildren, Jon, Robyn, and Matt Morgan; great-grandchildren, Makayla, Madeline and Jordon Morgan; three nieces and husband, Elsie Amerson of Denison, Nell and Straw Owsley of Mount Pleasant, and Betty Parker of Daingerfield; three nephews and wives, James and Emma Alice Combs of Lawton, Okla., Thomas Traylor of Cookville, and Donnie and Judy Sloan of Shreveport, La.; sister-in-law and husband, Christine and Jesse Croxdale of Fort Worth; special friend, Shirley Letot; and numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Lloyd Morgan; her parents; two brothers, Leland Combs and Carl Combs and two sisters, Mary Traylor and Bernice Sloan.
The family will receive visitors from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Rodgers
CASON C Orea Rodgers Sr, 77, of Cason died Saturday, May 29 at Veteran=s Hospital in Dallas.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 3 at Shady Grove Christian Church with the Rev. Dwayne Rodgers officiating. Interment will be in the Shady Grove Cemetery under the direction of John Harmon Undertaking Company.
Mr. Rodgers was born Sept. 21, 1926 in Cason. He attended Rosenwall High School and was a member of the Shady Grove Christian Church. He was a long time resident of Cason. He served in the Marine Corps.
He is survived by his wife, Raynell Rodgers (Tessie) of Cason; two sons, Orea Rodgers Jr. and Phillip Rodgers, both of Cason; two daughters, Brenda Johnson of Pittsburg and Gwene Davis of Daingerfield; two sisters, Geneva Mitchell and Lula M. Smith, both of Dallas; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son; three sisters; three brothers and a granddaughter.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Thursby
Aresser Thursby , 92, of Mount Pleasant died Tuesday, June 29, 2004 in Mount Pleasant.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 3 at Sheppard Street Church of Christ with Bro. R. L. Clark Jr. officiating. Interment will be in the Sheppard Street Cemetery in Mount Pleasant under the direction of Tumey Mortuary.
Mrs. Thursby was born Jan. 12, 1912 in Titus County, the daughter of Chester and Everlena (Wesley) Reed. She was a housewife and a member of Sheppard Street Church of Christ.
She is survived by three daughters and son-in-law, Bertha Thursby Small of Denver, Colo., Mary Glover, Ruthie N. and Bill Jeffery all of Mount Pleasant; three sons and daughters-in-law, John Thomas and Lucile Thursby of Fort Worth, I. C. and Mary Thursby, Calvin and Wilma Thursby all of Mount Pleasant; 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren; longtime friend Beatrice Wilkerson of Mount Pleasant and host of other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, I. C. ADick@ Thursby; her parents; one granddaughter, two great-grandchildren, four brothers and three sisters.
No formal visitation with the family is planned. However, Mrs. Thursby will lie in state at the funeral home from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Friday.

Ward
Virginia Ruth Ward, 77, of Mount Pleasant died Wednesday, June 30, 2004 in Mount Pleasant.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 2 at Bates-Cooper Chapel with Dr. Gaylon Riddle and Bro. Frank Stringham officiating. Interment will be in the Greenhill Cemetery under the direction of Bates-Cooper Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Dean McCollom, Ross Bond, Jimmy Rodgers, Ralph Cutler, David Myers, Jerry W. Smith, Waylon Moore, Tim McAllester, Joel Conroy and Bob Pepper. Honorary pallbearers are The Odd Fellows.
Mrs. Ward was born Dec. 29, 1926 in Titus County, the daughter of Walter and Dessie Jackson Freeman. She was a retired switch board operator at Dorchester Refinery. She was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church for 56 years and a member of the Rebekah Lodge for 42 years.
She is survived by her sister, Julia Barrett of Mount Pleasant; sister-in-law, Hallie Freeman Lang of Mount Pleasant; nieces, Janice, Krystal & Kalyn Bukosbe; niece and nephews, Gary and Kathy Barnett, Diane and Tommy Byrd, Brenda and Fred Harkrider, Linda and Tim Jones, Judy and Rhodney Freeman, Alice and Jerry Freeman, Jennifer and Larry Freeman; numerous great-nieces and nephews; great-great-nieces and nephews and great-great-great nieces and nephews; and friend, Martin Hernandez.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J. C. Ward; her parents; two brothers, Lloyd and Eford Freeman.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Broach
Mataline Anderson Broach, 76, of Mount Pleasant died July 5, 2004 in Mount Pleasant.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 7 at South Jefferson Baptist Church with interment in Grayrock Cemetery in Franklin County under the direction of Curry-Welborn Funeral Home.
She is survived by her husband, Harrel Broach of Mount Pleasant; daughter, Judy Hammonds of Mount Pleasant; son, Micki Broach of Mount Pleasant; four grandchildren, Amy Schmitt of Mount Pleasant, Sarah Broach of Austin, Matt Morris of Dallas and Josh Broach of Houston and brother, Jack Anderson of Mount Pleasant.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Buncomb and Nora Anderson; nephews, Andy and Steve Anderson.
The family will receive visitors from 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Hammonds
Family and friends of Judy Hammonds are invited to attend a memorial service in her honor next Sunday, April 25, at 2 p.m. at Caldwell Park in Mount Pleasant.
This informal memorial will include words and memories shared by guests and everyone is invited. Your special memory and lawn chairs or blankets should be brought, and any gifts which were intended should be, instead, donated at any local bank to the funds which will be donated to the charities closest to Judy’s heart.

Jobe
EULESS - Allen Ray Jobe, 78, of Euless died Sunday, July 4, 2004 in Euless.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 6 at Bates-Cooper Chapel with Bobby Madison and Wesley Vandiver officiating. Interment will be in the Edwards Cemetery under the direction of Bates-Cooper Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be David Sargent, Allen Brackett, Michael Jobe and John Brackett.
Mr. Jobe was born Nov. 29, 1925 in Fort Worth, the son of Odis Ray and Lavada May Jobe. He was a self-employed mechanic and a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy.
He is survived by his son, James Jobe of Mount Pleasant; daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Skip Campbell of Hurst; four grandchildren, Michelle Brackett of Springtown, Angela Townseley of Dallas, Michael Jobe of Sulphur Springs and Stephanie Waugh of Haltom City; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Donald Jobe of Granbury and Jimmy Jobe of Hurst; and sister, Dorothy Lile of Haltom City.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will receive visitors from 7-9 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.
