She was a lifelong resident of El Paso and is survived by her husband Leroy Ayala, children — Albert Lawrence Ayala, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Beatrice Jauregui, Patricia Ayala and Irma Ayala — and nine grandchildren. Interment was March 20 at Evergreen Cemetery.

Jesus “Chu Tabacco” Lopez, 79, passed away March 27. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Teodosa Delgadillo Lopez, children — Chuy Lopez Jr., Tino Lopez, Pete Lopez, Ramon Lopez, Rudy Lopez, Johnny Lopez, Lupe Delgado, Luisa Arias, Leonor Jimenez, and Frances Rodriguez — 27 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Burial was March 31 at Canutillo Cemetery.

Eduardo Luna, 74, passed away March 16. He was a resident of El Paso for 50 years and was a retired truck driver. He is survived by his wife Hilaria Luna, children — Rosalia Acosta, Sylvia Candelaria, Gloria I. Luna-Duran and Edna Ledesma — 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Interment was March 20 at Mount Carmel Cemetery.

Richard Harold Medicke, 78, passed away March 23. He was a longtime resident of Quincy, Mass., and moved to El Paso after retiring from Jerome Press in Boston in 1980. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Gertrude Medicke, their children — Marybeth Medicke, Richard J. Medicke, Margaret Medicke, Joanne Medicke and Paul Medicke — and three grandchildren. Burial was March 27 at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Jesus “Loco” Mendez, 73, passed away March 27. He was a well-known professional wrestler in the Mexican circuit and once held the Chihuahua State heavyweight title. He wrestled well-known area wrestlers such as Gory Guerrero, Carlos Ramos, Terry and Dory Funk, Texas Tiger and Ricky Romero. He is survived by his children — Ruben, Bobby, Jesus, Oscar and Yolanda Mendez — 18 grandchildren and more than 25 great-grandchildren. Burial was March 31 at Mount Carmel Cemetery.

Roger Olivares Ramirez, 81, passed away on March 17. He was a World War II veteran and retired from the City of El Paso. He is survived by his children — Xavier Ramirez and Evangelina Ramirez. Interment was March 21 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.

Albert John Pumputis, 76, passed away March 21. He was retired from A.O. Smith Water Products and is survived by his wife Frieda E. Pumputis, their children — Barbara Dierickx and Susan Bertrand — and four grandchildren. A memorial Mass took place March 27 at Saint Luke’s Catholic Church.

Esther Terrazas Ramirez, 92, passed away March 27. She is survived by her sister Maria Louisa Collins and brother Guillermo Terrazas. Other survivors include her grandchildren and their spouses — Victor and Terrie Ramirez, Matthew and Christy Ramirez, Rebecca and Richard Loveszy, Elsa and Jerry Brisson, Mark and Becky Ramirez, Mike and Lorrie Ramirez III — and 10 great-grandchildren. Burial was March 31 at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Charles O. Robinson, 69, passed away March 20. He was a dedicated teacher and coach who retired from the Ysleta Independent School District and spent much of his retirement years living in Santo Tomas, Chihuahua, where he was a rancher and farmer. He is survived by wife of 42 years, Edelmira Robinson, their children — Charles Robinson, Scott Robinson, Wanda Garcia and Latricia Robinson — and six grandchildren. Interment was March 26 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.

James H. Roles, 80, passed away March 21. He was 40-year El Paso resident and a fireman, who retired from civil service after 20 years. He is survived by a stepson, nieces and nephews, step-grandchildren, and a host of friends at the Palisides Retirement Community. Burial was March 26 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
