He worked for many years as the chef for Gillespies Steak House and is survived by his wife, Luz Elizondo, children — Erasmo Martinez, Luis Elizondo, Manuel Elizondo Jr., Javier Elizondo, Raymundo Elizondo, Antonio Elizondo, Alicia Rodriguez, Elena Castañeda, Yolanda Aldaz, Maria Zambrano, Patricia Jurado and Alicia Lucero — 35 grandchildren, 20 grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Burial was Feb. 28 at Mount Carmel Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years Marlene Epperson, children — David Epperson, John Epperson and Sharee Epperson — and four grandchildren. Burial was Feb. 28 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.

During his 60 years in this area, he was associated with Asarco Border Steel, KGRT radio station. Under New Mexico Gov. Tony Anaya and Garry Carruthers, Fargason served as a state police commissioner. Burial was Feb. 25 at Memory Gardens of the Valley Cemetery.
