Dierdre Naomi Davis

COLLINSVILLE -- Services for Dierdre Naomi Davis, 74, of Collinsville will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, in the Collinsville Church of Christ. She died Sunday, June 2, 2002, at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman, Texas.

Officiating will be Ricky Patterson and Danny Weimer. Burial will be in Collinsville Cemetery.

Mrs. Davis was born on Sept. 10, 1927, in Collinsville, daughter of the late Harold Z. "Dap" Moncrief and Tennie Graham Moncrief.

She married William Harold "Sam" Davis on Nov. 30, 1943, in Collinsville. He preceded her in death Feb. 16, 1999. She later married Donald L. Davis on Jan. 14, 2001, in Mountain Springs, Texas.

She was a member of the Collinsville Church of Christ, North Texas Fine Arts Association and the Collinsville Cemetery Association. Dierdre was a saleslady for Western Wear Clothing Stores.

Surviving are her husband, Don Davis of Collinsville; son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Mary Jo Davis of Collinsville; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Larry Parrott of Fort Worth; seven grandchildren, Kevin Carney of Collinsville, Michael Carney of New Orleans, La., Jeri Jo Belyea of Lake Jackson, Texas, Gage Davis of Collinsville, Kristy Parrott and Sami Pfannenstiel, both of Fort Worth and Jennifer Dionne of Rowlett; and six great-grandchildren, Tiffany Carney, Stefani Carney and Christopher Carney, all of Collinsville, Rachel Carney and Tyler, both of New Orleans, La. and Kirstien Pfannenstiel of Fort Worth.

The family will be at Huff Funeral Home in Whitesboro from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 4.

Lynn Brown

BELLS -- Lynn Brown, 89-year-old Bells resident, died Monday, June 3, 2002, at the Mullican Care Center in Savoy.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 5 in Antioch Baptist Church, west of Bells. Officiating will be Dr. Lowell Howard of Antioch Baptist. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Bells. Masonic services will be held at the graveside.

Mr. Brown was born on March 5, 1913, in Bells, Texas, son of Cam Brown and May Johnson Brown. He attended Pink Hill School. In 1939, he married Marie Swindell.

Lynn worked for the Frisco Railroad and retired from Anderson Clayton Company in Sherman. He was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church and Bells Masonic Loge #798, where he was a 32nd degree Mason and the Scottish Rite.

Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.

Surviving are his wife, Marie Brown of Bells; sons, Ronnie "Buggs" Brown and wife, Sandra of Bells and Woody Brown and wife, Janet, all of Bells; daughter, Donna Branch and husband, Jerry Dale of Bells; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by son, Raymond; brother, Hugh "Chunk" Brown; and granddaughter, Rhonda Brown.

The family will be at Mullican-Little Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Willie B. Rice

SHERMAN -- Willie B. Rice, 94, of Dallas and formerly of Sherman, died Sunday, June 2, 2002, at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas. Services are pending with Waldo Funeral Home.

Margaret Bundschuh

SHERMAN -- Margaret Bundschuh, 80, of Sherman died Monday, June 3, 2002, at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center. Services are pending with Waldo Funeral Home.

James 'Jim' Crain

DURANT, Okla. -- Memorial services for James "Jim" Crain, 71-year-old Durant resident, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Silo Baptist Church in Silo, Okla.

Officiating will be his son, J. Scott Crain. Burial will be in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.

Surviving are his sons, Mike Crain of McAlester, Okla., Tim Crain of Carrollton and Scott Crain of Durant; daughter, Terri Mosser of Yukon, Okla.; sisters, Irene Atkison of New Melle, Mo., Jane Revelle of Shreveport, La. and Emma Jo Crain of St. Charles, Mo.; brother, Raymond Crain of Branson, Mo.; and 10 grandchildren.

Coffey-Murray Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Silo Baptist Church Building Fund.

Reynaldo Torres

GUNTER -- Reynaldo Torres, 16, of Gunter died Sunday, June 2, 2002, at Lake Ray Roberts.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Flesher Funeral Home Chapel in Van Alstyne. Burial will follow in Gunter Cemetery.

Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Santiago Torres of Gunter; brothers, Victor Torres of Dallas, Juan Torres of Frisco and Thomas Torres of Gunter; and grandfathers, Procoro Torres and Antonio Rodriguez, both of Cortazar, GTO Mexico.

The family will be at the funeral chapel from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

Junette Mather

PRINCETON -- Junette Mather, 50, of McKinney died Saturday, June 1, 2002, in McKinney.

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Ridgeview Memorial Park with the Rev. Rodney McDaniel officiating.

Surviving are her daughters, Kay Burdett of McKinney and Jamie Sellers of Sadler; son, Michael Harris of Quinlan; mother, Martha Burns of Princeton; brothers, Art Burns of Greenville and Clete Burns of Princeton; and four grandchildren.

Arrangements are by Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel.

Mary Jenice Null

PRINCETON -- Mary Jenice Thomas Null of Princeton died Friday, May 31, 2002 at North Central Medical Center.

Services were held Monday at Belew Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Stan Fike officiating. Burial followed at Princeton Cemetery.

Surviving are her husband, George Null; sons, Ray Shewbirt, Sherman Shewbirt and Paul Shewbirt; daughter, Valeria Jenice Young; stepchildren, James and Tami Null, Nathan and Carol Douglas and Glen and Meloney Norris; and sisters, Jean Hartsell, Fay Price and Pauline Bauchie, all of Princeton.

Hubert 'Soapie' Green

DURANT, Okla. -- Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Eastside Presbyterian Church in Durant for Hubert Lee "Soapie" Green, 88-year-old Durant resident. He died Saturday, June 1, 2002, at the Sterling House in Durant.

Officiating will be the Rev. Tom Lackey CLP and the Rev. Ross Kirven. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.

Surviving are his sons, Jimmy Green and Mike Green, both of Durant; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are under the direction of Dalton-Holmes Funeral Home in Durant.

Carol Piott

SHERMAN -- Services for Carol Piott, 81, who died Wednesday, February 12, 2003 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, February 14, 2003 at Dannel Funeral Home Chapel.

Pastor Paul Wheelus of Country Chapel will officiate. Internment will follow at Burns Cemetery in Trenton.

Mr. Piott was born December 10, 1921 in Trenton, Texas, the son of L.L. Piott and May Ladd Piott. He attended school in Achille, Oklahoma and served in the United States Army during World War II in the Quarter Master Corps. He was stationed in North Africa, Italy, Sicily and Southern France. On December 19, 1945, he married Pat Reece in Bonham, Texas.

Mr. Piott was employed by Economy Cars in Dallas for 20 years and was employed by Taylor Lincoln-Mercury in Sherman from 1975 to 1988.

Mr. Piott was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Pat Piott of Sherman; son, Danny Piott and wife, Sharon of Carrollton, Texas; daughter, Debbie Wall and husband, Larry of Irving, Texas; sisters, Florene Simpson, Joyce Colson and May Jean Lindsey, all of Denison; five grandchildren, Jonathon Piott, David Piott, Michael Wall, Leslie Caron and husband, Steve, and Ginni Wall; cousins, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Steve Farris, Carl Hale, R.C. Corzine, Frank Brown, Dennis Thomas, Jimmy Piott and Bud Rushing.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dean Emerson and Boyd Conaway.

The family received friends Thursday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. at Dannel Funeral Home.

If desired, memorials may be made to the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital, 2222 Welborn St., Dallas, Texas 75219-3993.

Michael Wayne Lamb

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Funeral services for Michael Wayne Lamb, 35, formerly of Sherman, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 15, in West Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Charles H. Brown Sr. of New Birth Baptist Church will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home. Mr. Lamb passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2003, in Los Angeles.

Michael was born on November 28, 1967, in Paris, Texas to Mattie Nickerson Lamb Polk and the late Robert Lamb Jr. He attended Sherman schools, graduating in 1986, before moving to California. He married Christine Lloyd on May 12, 2000. He attended New Birth Baptist Church.

Mr. Lamb is survived by his wife, Christine of Los Angeles, Calif.; his mother, Mattie Lamb Polk of Sherman; a sister, Elizabeth George of Allen, Texas; a grandmother, Evelyn Nickerson of Paris, Texas; two nieces, Alexis and Tjiarra Johnson George, both of Allen; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by three grandparents; his father; a brother, Eric Lamb; and a sister, Velma Lamb.

The family will receive friends Saturday, February 15 from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. at Waldo Funeral Home.

Leon Few

DENISON -- Memorial services for Leon Few, 65-year-old Denison resident, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15 at Johnson-Moore Chapel. He died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2003, at Texoma Medical Center.

The Rev. Russell Clemons will officiate.

Mr. Few was born on Jan. 2, 1938, in Albuquerque, N.M., the son of Marion Frank and Bessie Craig Few. He married June Maricola on June 2, 1969, in Albuquerque, N.M.

Mr. Few was an auto radiator manufacturing and repairman. He was a member of the Keepers Car Club of Denison.

Surviving are his wife, June Few of Wallburg, N.C.; sons and daughter-in-law, Mike James and Stephen James and his wife, Joy, all of Albuquerque; daughters and son-in-law, Sandra Mazzarini and her husband, Louis of Aliso Viejo, Calif. and Beverly Stilwell and husband, Nick of Fort Worth, Texas; sisters and brothers-in-law, Merica Tessman of Baxter Springs, Kan., Georgiana Flynn and husband, Audi and Martha Green and husband, Johnnie, all of Denison, and Shirley Stump and husband, Arley of Albuquerque, N.M.; 11 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Virginia Stephens-Jennings

BONHAM -- Services for Virginia Stephens-Jennings, age 69, of IHS of Bonham, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15 at Cooper-Sorrells Chapel in Bonham. The Lord sent His angels to bring her home on Feb. 12, 2003.

Bro. Gene Owen and Bro. Brandon Dona will officiate with burial to follow at Willow Wild Cemetery in Bonham.

Mrs. Jennings was born on April 17, 1933, in Hoisington, Kansas, daughter of Joseph C. and Ethel Mary Watson Bechtold. She married Sam R. Jennings on March 17, 2000, in Bonham.

Mrs. Jennings lived in Bonham for 42 years. She worked at the Cotton Mill, was kitchen supervisor for Fairview Nursing Home and later was employed in the home health care service. She was also involved in the Foster Grandparent Program. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Bonham.

Pallbearers will be Mike Hintergardt, Rick Ryker, Terry Roland, Larry Shockley, Tim Meek and Harold Kuhn. Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Etmus and Steve Vaughan.

Surviving are her husband, Sam R. Jennings of Bonham; daughters, Judy Jones of Colbert, Okla. and Jerrie Knight of Bonham; sons, Jack Brians of McKinney, Joe Brians of Tulsa, Okla. and John Brians of Whitewright; brother, Thomas E. Bechtold of Morrison, Okla.; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and grandson, Jerry Powell.

The family will be at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday.

Joan Elizabeth Kane

CARROLLTON -- Joan Elizabeth Kane, 70, of Carrollton died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2003, at the Heritage Manor Nursing Home.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Rita Catholic Church in Dallas.

Surviving are her brother, Edward Kane of Chataham, N.Y.; and sisters, Mary Diehl of Crystal River, Fla. and Catherine Miesch of Appalachin, N.Y.

Memorials may be made to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, or a charity of one's choice.

Ted Dickey Funeral Home in Plano has charge of arrangements.
