SANCHEZ
Mr. Jose Teodoro Sanchez, Jr. age 74 of San Antonio died Sunday, December 14, 2003. Mr. Sanchez was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Romana Sanchez and his father, Jose T. Sanchez, Sr. He is survived by his children: Gilbert Sanchez and wife Gloria, Audelia Sanchez Garcia, John Jesse Sanchez, Elsie Sanchez Villarreal and husband Jesus Jr., Frances Sanchez King and husband Ross, Martha Sanchez and husband George, Mark Anthony Sanchez and wife Annette, Jose T. Sanchez III and wife Patricia, Graciela Sanchez Santana; long-time companion, Evangelina Pina; stepmother, Isabel Sanchez; grandchildren: Jessica, Brenda and Gilbert Jr., Sanchez; John and Marina Garcia, Michelle, Roxanne, and Cassandra Sanchez, Romi, Crystal, and Nicole Villarreal, Amanda and Zachary King, Joshua, Gabriella, and Ilsa Sanchez Sanchez, Nicole and Mark Jr. Sanchez, Sophia and Sarah Sanchez, Renavin, Kara, and Rose-Marie Santana; great-grandchildren: Zaine Herring and Patrick Sanchez.
Visitation will begin Wednesday at 9:00 A.M. in the Angelus Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be offered Thursday at 12:00 P.M. at Mission Concepion. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with military honors.

SCHELLENBERG
Margaret L. Schellenberg, born on May 16, 1920 in St. Louis, MO and died on Sunday, August 22, 2010 in her home in San Antonio, Texas. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Elsie and Palmer Lindsley, her brother, Adolph, her daughter, Mary Elizabeth, and her loving husband of 50 years of marriage, Albert “Big Al.” Margaret is survived by her children, Fred Schellenberg and wife, Margaret, Virginia Ann Graygor, Rev. Dr. James E. Schellenberg, and Debbie Peters and husband, Gordon. Margaret has nine grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Surviving siblings include Ruth Pribyl of Victoria, TX and Harry Lindsley of McKinney, TX. Other surviving members include her two brothers in law, Roy and Robert Schellenberg of Dallas, TX, as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Margaret carried out her family, civic, and church duties with great faith, dedication, and service. She was raised in St. Louis, MO and then later lived in Dallas, TX where she graduated from North Dallas High School. Mom always spoke fondly of living on Stoneleigh Ave and marching in the Texas Centennial Parade at Fair Park. Margaret married Albert on December 16, 1939. They had great neighborhoods on Somerset and Clearfork Streets in Dallas.
Margaret worked concessions at Fair Park and the Cotton Bowl as well as the Dallas Trade Mart. She and Albert moved to San Antonio, TX in January of 1963. Margaret was a lifetime member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church where she participated in the Parish Council, President of the Altar Society and served as a Eucharistic Minister. She was Regent of Ct. 214 St. Anthony of the C.D.A., President of Germania Lodge in Dallas with the Order of the Sons of Herman, life long member of St. Bernadette’s Holy Family Guild and was also a member in these organizations: ABWA, Parliamentarian Society, Mothers’ club at Jesuit HS in Dallas, Central Catholic HS, Ursline Academy, St. Paul’s School PTA in San Antonio, TX. She also was an active member of the Order of the Holy Sepulchers, the Sultanas, Parents Club St. John- Assumption Seminary, Marianist Associates, and Pillars of the Cathedral. During the elections she worked the polls at the Maverick School.
Margaret’s ability to with groups came from her early jobs as a waitress at the State Fair of Texas in Dallas, followed by her career with various lawyers, Allis Chambers, Zero Refrigerated Freight Lines, and her own income tax business (her nick name was Matthew!) She will be missed for her letters to family and to the Editor in the daily newspaper. She was always grateful for life because she never thought she would live this long to have such a loving family and friends. Margaret just recently celebrated her 90th birthday with family and friends. She lived out her life with her daughter Debbie and son-in-law Gordon Peters on Loma Linda.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. concluding with an evening prayer in the Angelus Chapel. Rosary will be recited on Saturday at 10:30 AM with the Funeral Mass to be offered at 11:00 AM at St. Paul’s Catholic Church. Graveside Services and Interment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery at 1:30 P.M. Margaret will be buried between her loving husband, Albert and her Aunt, Ruth Lindsley.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St. Paul’s Catholic School or Assumption Seminary.

SHARPTON
Mrs. Lenore M. Sharpton, age 82 of San Antonio died Wednesday, August 6, 2003. She was preceded in death by her husband, James William Sharpton; and parents Mr. and Mrs. Daniel B. McAllister. She was a member of St. HelenaÕs Catholic Church and had lived in Mexico for 27 years. Survivors: son, Daniel Sharpton, Tulsa, OK; daughters, Mrs. Mary Lenore Flood, Ft. Worth, Tx., Shirley Jane Sharpton and Margaret Kathleen Robles of San Antonio; daughter-in-law, Mrs. Phyllis Sharpton, Tulsa, OK., and son-in-law, Tony Robles, Jr. of San Antonio; 13 grandchildren: James and John Flood, Oswaldo, Alejandro, Jorge, and Sergio Nava, Claudia Monsivais, Shirley Lumbreras, Michael, Jeromy and Cheyanne Sharpton, Mark and Nicholas Robles; 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; a sister-in-law, Eloise Perez; and several nieces and nephews.
Rosary will be recited Thursday evening at 7:00 P.M. at the Angelus Chapel. Funeral Mass will be offered Friday at : A.M. at St. Helena's Catholic Church, 14714 Edgemont. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.

MARTINEZ
Servando Martinez left for his eternal home on June 22, 2003. He "wore many hats", as a professional wrestler "Bruno Giovanni", a commercial printer, a man of many talents, excelling at all, however, his highest achievements were his family, friends, and all who were richer for having known him. Servando, you will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Angelica, and three children: Edna, Adam, and Sam (Joann) Martinez, also, Servando Jr. and Maria Isabel Zapata; grandchildren: Albert, Ronnie, Norma, Jamie, Aaron, and Paul; 2 great-grandchildren: Andrea and Jada. He also leaves behind his 3 sisters, Graciela Martinez, Maria Concepcion Presas, and Elena Cardenas, as well as his "extended family" - his wrestling comrades. Rosary will be recited Wednesday evening at 7:00 P.M. at the Angelus Chapel. Funeral Mass will be offered Thursday at 10:00 A.M. at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Little Flower. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with military honors. In lieu of flowers, the family requests item (plants, shrubs, statuary, etc.) for a home memorial garden.

SMITH
Mrs. Catherine Ann Smith age 67 went to be with her Lord on Monday, April 12, 2004. Mrs. Smith had been a resident of Houston, Texas for the past two years. She was a faithful employee of Walgreens Drug Stores for over 15 years. Despite her struggle with juvenile diabetes for the past 48 years, she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her children: Marvin Davis, Marilyn Rose, and Sherry Lynn. She is survived by her husband Marvin F. Smith. Children: Catherine Ann Patterson and husband Randall, Phyllis Nell Scott and husband Larry. Sister: Frances Lynch. Brother: Frank Lynch and wife Imelda. Grandchildren: Freddie Bockelman, Crystal Patterson; Godchild, Patrice Lynch; several nieces and nephews. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday in the Angelus Chapel. Funeral Mass will be offered at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church on Thursday at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow at San Jose Burial Park.

SOLIS
Mrs. Anita Hernandez Solis age 91 years of San Antonio died Sunday, April 16, 2006. She was preceded in death by her husband, Esequiel Solis. Mrs. Solis is survived by her children, Anita Rogers, Richard Solis, Sam Solis, Robert Solis, Zeke Solis, Olivia Arredondo, Mary Jessie Ochoa, Ruben Solis, and Rachel Solis-Hoover; 19 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.
A Rosary was recited Monday evening, April 17, 2006. Funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday, April 18, at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church. Interment will follow at San Fernando Archdiocesan Cemetery No. 2.

TALAMANTEZ
Mrs. Rosie Talamantez, a dedicated wife and mother, passed away in San Antonio Tuesday, April 14, 2004 at the age of 69. Mrs. Talamantez is survived by her husband of 5 years, Alfredo Talamantez; children: Alfred F. Talamantez and wife Barbara, Leticia McGarry and husband Bill, Herman Talamantez and wife Teresa; mother, Juanita Trujillo; granddaughters: Danielle and Renee Talamantez; grandson, Stephen Talamantez; brothers: John Trujillo and Frank Trujillo; sister, Angela Luna.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 16 from 12:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at the Angelus Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited Friday evening at 7:00 P.M. at St. Leo’s Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be offered Saturday, April 17 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Leo’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mission Burial Park South. Mrs. Talamantez will be dearly missed.

TOMASELLI
Mr. Michael Angelo Tomaselli age 75 of San Antonio went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 1, 2004. He was born February 27, 1929 in Plymouth, Pennsylvania. Mr. Tomaselli served in the U.S. Air Force for 24 years and was a veteran of the Vietname War. He was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, St. Joseph Society, Christopher Columbus Society and Beethoven Halle. He was also a avid square dancer for over 20 years. Mr. Tomaselli loved spending time with his family and fishing. At the time of his death he was manager of St. Joseph’s Hall. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Mr. Tomaselli is survived by his wife of 48 years Augustina L. Tomaselli; sons: David J. of Houston, Texas, Michael A. Jr, and wife Angel of Coeur D’ Alene, Robert and wife Brenda of San Antonio, Jeffrey and wife Catherine of San Antonio; brother, Louie Tomaselli and wife Brenda of England; mother-in-law, Margaret Rash; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives. Visitation will begin Sunday, April 4, at 1:00 P.M. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:30 P.M. at the Angelus Chapel. Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday, April 5, at 9:00 A.M. at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 1700 St. Cloud Rd at Sutton Drive. Interment will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with military Honors. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

TREVINO
Mr. Armando C. Trevino Sr. went home to be with the Lord on August 29, 2010. He was surrounded by his wife, children, family, and friends. He was never alone. Armando was born in Monterrey, N.L., Mexico in 1936. He came to live in the United States in 1952 where he met his wife, Elena, of 48 years. He served in the U.S. Navy reserves.
He was an active parishioner at St. Paul Catholic Church. While he was the heart of his family and a faithful member of St. Paul Parish, Armando found his love as the soul in the larger San Antonio Community. His restaurant, “Evitas” is the place where literally thousands of people have shared their lives. He was and always will remain the soul of his community. His generosity touched the lives of everyone. His love for life and his humor was second only to his love of God and family.
Mr. Trevino was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Dolores Trevino; a sister, Evangelina; and brothers, Mario and Jorge. He is survived by his wife, Elena; children: Dolores, Evangelina, Armando, Jr. and wife Cynthia, Patricia, Fernando and wife Leticia, Rolando and wife Odette, and Gerardo; as well as Rev. Jimmy Drennan whom he adopted as a son; brothers: Pedro, Ramiro, Jesse, Juan, Roberto, and Ernesto; sisters: Elvira and Alicia; 16 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson.
Visitation will begin Wednesday evening at 6:00 P.M. at St. Paul Catholic Church with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. A Con-celebrated Mass will be offered Thursday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Paul Catholic Church with Rev. Jimmy Drennan as main celebrant. Interment will follow at San Fernando Archdiocesan Cemetery No.2.
If desired, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Catholic School.

VENEGAS
Concepcion V. Venegas, daughter of Cruz Vargas and Paula Zamudio was born on June 24, 1913 in D’Hanis, Texas passed away peacefully on January 15, 2005 at the age of 91. She was a loving, beautiful person and will be missed greatly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank L. Venegas; son Rudy V. Delgado, and granddaughter Elizabeth Mora. She is survived by four sons and eight daughters, Gloria Gonzales, Luis and the late Lucia Ramirez, Frank Jr. & Maria Venegas, Rosalie & Charles Brockman, Cruz Venegas, Mary & Ceasar Gutierrez, Vickie & Jimmy Espinosa Sr., Jenny & Frank Mora Jr., Grace & Robert Gonzales, Maria Salinas, Tony & Angie Venegas, Carmen & Jon Hogue, thirty-two grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, seven great-great- grandchildren, and numerous nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 16, from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at The Angelus Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday, January 16, at 7:00 P.M. at St. Henry’s Catholic Church. Procession will depart from the Angelus Chapel Monday, January 17, at 1:30 P.M. for a 2:00 P.M. Funeral Mass at St. Henry’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow in San Fernando Archdiocesan Cemetery No. 2.
