HARMON F. STUMP
Funeral services for Harmon F. Stump, 93, will be held Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2005, at 2 p.m. in the Bethel Assembly of God Church. The Rev. Rex Kreusel, pastor, will officiate, assisted by the Rev. H. L. Stevens, retired minister of Dumas Assembly of God.
Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery with flag detail from the American Legion Post 224 of Dumas.
Born in Waka on Feb. 29, 1912, he married Nellie Martin on June 16, 1946, in Guymon, Okla.
He was a long-time member of the American Legion Post 224 of Dumas and was an electrician at Cabot Corp in Pampa for 18 years. He was a member of Bethel Assembly of God in Dumas and owner-operator of the One Hour Martinizing from 1966 until he retired in 1982. He also served in the Army during World War II.
He was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters.
The family will be at 504 Bradley in Dumas.
The family has requested memorials be made to Memorial Hospice, 224 East 2nd, Dumas, Texas, 79029.
Survivors include his wife, Nellie, of the home; two daughters, Linda and Danny Brannan and Debra and Eldon Johnson, all of Dumas; one son, Tim and Kay Stump of Fort Worth; one brother, Buford Stump of Hardesty, Okla.; one sister, Anna Tidwell of Albuquerque, N. M.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

JERRY AUGUSTUS KINNISON
Graveside services for Jerry Augustus Kinnison, 62, of Dumas, will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2005, at 3 p.m. in the Lamesa Memorial Park. Bro. Clifton Igo will officiate.
Mr. Kinnison died Thursday, Oct. 13, 2005, in BSA Hospice of Amarillo.
Born Dec. 3, 1942, in Lamesa, to O.A. and Nila Kinnison, he was an avid reader and a great outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family has requested memorials be made to the American Diabetes Assoc., P.O. Box 2680, North Canton, Ohio 44720 and Hospice in Amarillo, P. O. Box 950, Amarillo, Tex. 79105.
Survivors include a son, Jayson Kinnison, of Trinidad, Colo.; sisters, Ellen Skipworth of Dumas and Carol Reynolds of Lubbock; an aunt, Norma Wyatt of Dumas, and four grandchildren.
Branon Funeral Home of Lamesa is in charge of funeral arrangements.

ELVERD (OZZ) FISK
Funeral services for Elverd “Ozz” Fisk, 65, were held Friday, Oct. 7, 2005, in Calvary Baptist Church of Dumas. The Rev. Brad Foster, pastor, officiated.
Burial was in Dumas Cemetery.
Mr. Fisk died Monday, Oct. 3, 2005, in Dumas.
Born June 10, 1940, he had been a resident of Dumas for 62 years.
He married Marilyn Mosteller in Dumas on June 3, 1960. He worked for the City of Dumas over 11 years while at the same time serving as a volunteer fireman. He served in the National Guard. Mr. Fisk retired from Duke Energy with 29 years of service. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Dumas.
The family has requested memorials be made to a favorite charity.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Fisk, of the home; a daughter, Debbie and Alton Stevenson, of Clyde; a son, Billy and Sandy Fisk of Dumas; sisters, Mary and Carl Holland of Tyler, Berdena and Joe Ray Morrison of Joshua and Thenia O’Bryant of Chickasha, Okla.; brothers, Aubrey and Linda Fisk of Mineola and Glen Fisk of Mineola; 11 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

DUSKY WOODS
Funeral services for Dusky Woods, 50, were held Monday, Oct. 10, 2005, in the Assembly of God Church in Shamrock. The Rev. Joe Kirkwood, pastor of Cornerstone Church in Amarillo, officiated.
Interment was in Shamrock Cemetery.
Mr. Woods died Friday, Oct. 7, 2005, in Amarillo.
Born May 21, 1955, in Amarillo, to Robert Wesley and Juanita Gennell Ferril Woods, he had lived in Stratford for 10 years and worked mowing lawns, chimney cleaning and maintenance work. He also was a postal clerk. He was a veteran having served in the Army.
Survivors include his mother, Gennell York of Shamrock; his father, Robert Wesley Woods of Amarillo; three daughters, Mandy Childers, Amy Woods and Twila Woods, all of Amarillo; one sister, Penny Huff of Amarillo, and three grandchildren.
Wright Funeral Directors of Shamrock was in charge of funeral arrangements.

JORGE ALBERTO MURGA
Funeral services for Jorge Alberto Murga, 24, were held Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2005, in Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Dumas. Martin Nevarro, pastor, officiated.
Burial was in Dumas Cemetery.
Mr. Murga died Saturday, Oct. 8, 2005, in Hutchinson County.
Born Nov. 7, 1980, in Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico, he was a Dumas resident most of his life.
He was a 1999 graduate of Dumas High School and was preceded in death by his grandmother, Luisa Murga. He was an oil rig operator for Birdcreek Operating.
The family has requested memorials be made to MADD, 511 E. John Carpenter Freeway Suite 700, Irving, Tex. 75062.
Survivors include his parents, Jesus and Juanita Murga of Dumas; six brothers, Jose and Hermina Murga and Daniel and Darlene Murga, all of Dumas, Jesus Murga, Jr., of the home, Luis A. Murga, Juan Carlos Murga and Diego Murga, all of Anthony, N.M.; seven sisters, Juanita Aguilar, Maria and Ismael Chacon, Erika DeLeon and Luisa Sosa, all of Dumas, Cindy and Homero Lopez, Brenda Murga and Sonia Murga all of Anthony, and his grandparents, Jose and Juanita Serrato of Dumas.

DALE E. EBEL
Memorial services for Dale E. Ebel, 69, were held Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2005, in Morrison Memorial Chapel of Dumas. Officiating was the Rev. John Wagoner, former pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Dumas. He was assisted by the Rev. Beth Harrington, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Dumas.
Mr. Ebel died Oct. 10, 2005, in Dumas.
Born Aug. 4, 1936, in Monte Vista, Colo., he spent his young years there graduating from Monte Vista High School in June 1954.
He married Mary Burson two months after graduating. A meatcutter-butcher, he served in the National Guard. He and his wife spent the last 12 retirement years in Dumas.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Genevieve.
The family has requested memorials be made to BSA Hospice, P. O. Box 250, Amarillo, Tex. 79105 or Memorial Hospice, 224 E. 2nd, Dumas, Tex. 79029.
Survivors include his wife, Mary, of the home; a daughter, Jeri and Jess Montgomery of Dumas; three sons, Berry and Kathy Ebel of Woonsocket, R.I., Ron and Janis Ebel of Pampa and Glen Ebel of Dumas; a brother, Clayton Ebel, of Nevada; 10 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

EDWARD LOUIS PAUWELS
E. L. Pauwels (Ed), 82, died Oct. 5, 2005, in Lubbock.
Born Nov. 25, 1922, in Charleroi, Penn., he was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, having served in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater from July 1942 through June 1945.
Migrating from Michigan to Texas in 1949, he adopted the state as his own and loved it.
He was a retired real-estate broker. He worked for, and retired from, the Natural Gas Pipeline Company in Dumas.
Survivors include his wife, Alyce, of 45 years; three children, Lynda and Steven Osborn, of Oklahoma City, Okla., Steven and Elizabeth Pauwels of Dumas and Kevin and Vanda Pauwels of Lubbock; two brothers, John Pauwels of Arizona, and Darrel and Gwyn Kennedy of Mesquite; sisters, Elaine Mitchell of Michigan, and Janet Grossi of Pennsylvania; a lifelong friend, Pauline “Bim” Luke of Maryland; his Uncle Morris and Sarah Elder; six grandchildren, and two great-grandsons.
Agape Funeral Home of Lubbock was in charge of funeral arrangements.

HAROLD DONOVAN
A former Dumas resident, Harold Donovan, 84, died Sunday, Sept. 26, 2005, in the Texas State Veteran’s Home in Floresville.
He was born Sept. 6, 1921, in Fort Smith, Ark., to R. B. and Dolly Donovan.
Mr. Donovan attended schools in Amarillo and Dumas and was a 1939 graduate of Dumas High School. Soon after graduation he was called to active duty with the Texas National Guard and served with the 142nd Infantry of the 36th Division of the Guard in the Italian Campaign during World War II. He was wounded and taken prisoner by the Germans in 1943. In April of 1944 as Allied forces were overtaking the Germans, he was liberated and returned to the States as a “walking wounded” -- much to the surprise and joy of his family and friends, as he had been reported to have died in the prison camp several weeks earlier.
He continued his education at Texas Tech and after graduation made his home in the Houston area, eventually settling in Houston.
The family has requested memorials be made to Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch, or to a charity of your choice.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Renee, of the home; two sons, Dunny Pete and Katie Donovan of Round Rock, and Andrew Lynn and Terry Donovan of Houston; three daughters, Sherry Glen Rao of Richmond, Paula and Jim Barnes of Lake Jackson and Patti and Alberto Lozano of Houston; one sister, Pat Eads of Odessa; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

GARY LEE ADAMS
Memorial services for Gary Lee Adams, 68, of Amarillo, will be held Friday, Jan. 6, 2006, at 2 p.m. in the Washington Ave. Christian Church. The pastor, Dennis Westover, will officiate.
Mr. Adams died Dec. 24, 2005, in Amarillo.
Born Nov. 7, 1937, he married Patsy Donica on May 29, 1959, in Amarillo. He attended Texas Tech University and obtained the American Medical Technologists Certification through St. Anthony’s Hospital. He was the supervisor of the Dumas Memorial Hospital laboratory, until his retirement, due to his health.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Wylma Adams, and a brother, Donald Adams.
Mr. Adams donated his body to medical science in the hopes of helping to find a cure for Huntington chorea.
The family has suggested memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or a favorite charity.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy Adams, of the home; three daughters, Yvonne Adams of Amarillo, Dani Smith of Plano, and Deborah Jaggie of St. Peters, Mo.; seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Rector Funeral Home of Amarillo is in charge of funeral services.

KAREN CATHERALL
Funeral services for Karen Catherall, 54, were held Friday, Dec. 30, 2005, in the Calvary Baptist Church of Dumas. The Rev. John Green, officiated.
Burial was in Dumas Cemetery.
Mrs. Catherall died Dec. 27, 2005, in Amarillo.
Born Aug. 6, 1951, in Clovis, N. M., she had been a Dumas resident since 1978.
She moved to Amarillo in1955 and attended Amarillo schools. She worked at Kerr Paper when she met and married Fred Catherall, Jr., on Aug. 31, 1978, in Amarillo. They moved to Dumas to live.
She worked at Memorial Hospital, Cactus Feeders for 15 years and Texas Concrete.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Edith Calhoun of Dumas.
The family has requested memorials be made to a favorite charity.
Survivors include her husband, Fred Catherall, Jr., of the home; two sisters, Linda Calhoun of Dumas and Sharon White of Amarillo; a brother, Lawrence West of El Paso; her mother-in-law Pauline and Rheaford Coaly; brothers-in-law, Pete Catherall of Amarillo and Paul and Mary Catherall of Dumas; sister-in-law, Liz and W. G. Stavenhagen, of Dumas, and numerous nieces and nephews.
