LORENE FULCE
Funeral services for Lorene Fulce, 78, were held Tuesday, July 10, 2007, in Morrison Memorial Chapel in Dumas. Officiating was Lorenzo Garduno. He was assisted by Jerry Vinson, pastor of 6th and Meredith Church of Christ in Dumas.
Burial was in Northlawn Memorial Gardens of Dumas.
Mrs. Fulce died July 7, 2007, in Dumas.
Born in Elk City, Okla., on April 7, 1929, to Lowell and Fannie Tosh, she graduated from Berlin Oklahoma High School. She married David Fulce on March 10, 1946, in Wheeler. He preceded her in death on April 7, 1988.
She was a member of the 6th and Meredith Church of Christ. She was a volunteer for the American Health Association for many years. She worked for the Dumas Independent School District at Cactus Elementary and Green Acres for years.
The family has requested memorials be made to Memorial Hospice, 224 E. 2nd, Dumas, Texas 79029.
Survivors include three sons, Rick and Risa Fulce and Rod and Janice Fulce, all of Dumas and Robin and Mary Fulce of Panhandle; one daughter, Donna and Joel of Winona; a brother, Bill of Missouri; two sisters, Elizabeth and Jay of Arkansas and Vickie and Larry of Georgia; nine grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Morrison Funeral Directors of Dumas was in charge of funeral arrangements.

ELAINE PAULINE KATHERINE ROSCHEN
Funeral services for Elaine Pauline Katherine Roschen, 79, will be held Sunday, July 8, 2007, in Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hay Creek, Minn. The Rev. Lowell Sorenson will officiate.
Burial will be in the church cemetery .
Mrs. Roschen died Tuesday, July 3, 2007, in Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minn.
Born May 26, 1928, in Lake City, Minn., to Lawrence and Ida (Stehr) Schumann, she attended schools in Lake City. She married Dallas Roschen on Dec. 10, 1943, in Lake City. They farmed in Oak Center and Belvidere Township prior to moving to a farm in Featherstone Township in 1953. They retired in 1979.
She moved to Red Wing in 1982. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Hay Creek where she was active in the LWML; the Farm Bureau where she served as secretary; the Square Dance Federation where she served as an officer, and the Featherstone Prairie Belles project extension group. She was co-chairman of the 1998 Square Dance Convention and served as a 4-H Leader. She enjoyed sewing, square dance, clothing, genealogy and her violets.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents, and a daughter, Ellen Nystuen.
Survivors include two sons, Eugene and Robert and Jane Roschen, all of Red Wing; one daughter, Phyllis and Darrel Dammann of Tulsa, Okla.; a son-in-law, Paul Nystuen of Red Wing; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Richard and Connie Schumann of Lake City and Lawrence Schumann of Cleveland, Ohio; two sisters, Lucille Thermos of Red Wing and Marilyn and Scott Peterson of Lake City.
Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel is in charge of funeral arrangements.

C. L. BAKER JR.
Funeral services for C. L. Baker Jr., 72, of Dumas, were held Friday, July 6, 2007, in Boxwell Brothers Memorial Chapel.
Interment was in Quanah.
Mr. Baker died Monday, July 2, 2007, in Eads, Colo.
Born Nov. 13, 1934, in Hardamon to Claude and Juanita Baker, he moved to Dumas when he was very young. He was a loader operator for Lewis Construction. He loved to work around his place and to spend his time in his shop.
He was preceded in death by a stepfather, Vince Poci, and a sister, Lynell Armstrong.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia, of the home; daughters, Cheryl and Charles Howard of Bridgeport and Teresa Robinson of Seminole; a brother, Billy Baker of Plano; three sisters, Martha Jo Nichols of Gladewater, Marian Harris of Dumas and Linda Craig of Lindale; three grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas was in charge of funeral arrangements.

CALLETANO “KELLY” O’VALLE
Funeral mass for Calletano “Kelly” O’Valle, 84, were held Saturday, July 7, 2007, in Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Juan Albaladejo, pastor, officiated.
Burial was in Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
Mr. O’Valle died Monday, July 2, 2007.
Born Nov. 22, 1922, in Pearsall, to Estanislado an Petra O’Valle, on Nov. 21, 1946, he married Delia Chapa in Pearsall. He retired from the City of Dumas where he had worked for 21 years. He was a former longtime employee of Dumas Cattle Feeders. He had been a resident of Dumas since 1960 and was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
Survivors include his wife, Delia, of the home; two daughters, Susan O’Valle and Edelmira “Eldi” Melies, both of Dumas; two brothers, Samuel and Piedad O’Valle of Modesto, Calif., and Elias O’Valle of Pearsall; a sister, Minerva Guevara of Standon; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and close family members, Paul Melies Sr., and Raymund Cobos.
Morrison Funeral Directors of Dumas was in charge of funeral arrangements.

JIMMIE ROBINSON
Funeral services for Jimmie Robinson, 72, of Sunray, were held Friday, July 6, 2007, in Morrison Memorial Chapel in Dumas. The Rev. D. C. Helton, longtime family friend of Stringtown, Okla., officiated.
Burial was in Brown Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Robinson died Tuesday, July 3, 2007, in Amarillo.
Born May 31, 1935, in Daisy, Okla., to Harry and Alice Eastep, on April 6, 1991, she married James Robinson. She was a homemaker and had been a resident of Sunray since 1991.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bill Robinson, on Jan. 17, 1988.
The family has requested memorials be made to the Don and Sybil Harrington Cancer Center, 1500 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, Texas 79106.
Survivors include her husband, James, of the home; three daughters, Kathy Robinson of Sunray, Billie and Ed Stiffler of Bedford, Ind., and Sharon and Johnny Hickey of Dumas; three brothers, Donnie Eastep of Stringtown, Chester Eastep of Logan, N. M., and Dale Eastep of Darrouzett; one sister, Jaunita Kicinski of Lehigh, Okla.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

JACQUELYN “JACKIE” LOPEZ
Funeral services for Jacquelyn “Jackie” Lopez, 16, were held Wednesday, July 4, 2007, in Morrison Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass was Thursday, July 5, 2007, in Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Juan Albaladejo, pastor, officiated.
Burial was in Dumas Cemetery.
Miss Lopez died Sunday, July 1, 2007.
Born Aug. 26, 1990, in Dumas, she played softball and would have been a senior this fall at Dumas High School. She was a lifetime resident of Dumas and a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Pete Godinez; her uncle, John Godinez, and an aunt, Nancy Godinez.
The family has requested memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association, P. O. Box 59433, Amarillo, Texas 79159.
Survivors include her parents, Cathy and Mike Marsh of Dumas and Fidel and Heather Lopez of Bountiful, Utah; five sisters, Tami Lopez of Amarillo, Rashonda Lopez and Micaela Lopez, both of Dumas, Jade Lopez and Shea Lopez, both of Bountiful; a brother, Spencer Lopez of Bountiful; her grandparents, Carole Godinez and Red Starkey and Fidel and Rosa Lopez, all of Dumas.

SANDRA WADDEAN LUMMUS
Funeral services for Sandra Waddean Lummus, 63, will be held in the Sunray Baptist Church in Sunray on Monday, July 9, 2007. Interment will be in Lane Memorial Cemetery of Sunray.
Miss Lummus died Friday, July 6, 2007, in Amarillo.
Born Aug. 11, 1944, in Shamrock, she moved with her family to Sunray in 1947.
She was a member of the Sunray Baptist Church for 50 years. In 1997 she moved to Dumas to the Memorial Rehabilitation Center where she lived until her death. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dumas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Waddie and Lucia Lummus and a brother, William E. Lummus.
The family has requested memorials be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of their brother, The Dumas Memorial Nursing Rehabilitation Activity Department or to a favorite charity.
Survivors include two sisters and brothers-in-law, John and Jeanette Anderson of Dumas and Joe and Shirley Beard of Denison; 28 nieces and nephews, 40 great-nieces and nephews, 19 great-great-nieces and nephews.

ARLIS ANDREW MCBEE
Funeral services for Arlis Andrew McBee, 81, were held Wednesday, July 25, 2007, in the First Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Benjamin Seller, pastor officiated. He was assisted by the Rev. Mark Wallace, pastor of Life Tabernacle Church.
Burial was in Northlawn Memorial Gardens with Flag Detail by the American Legion Post 224 of Dumas.
Mr. McBee died Sunday, July 22, 2007, in Dumas.
Born Feb. 10, 1926, in Memphis, to Charlie and Mattie McBee, he attended school in Memphis and West Texas University. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Yeomen 2nd Class, from 1943 to 1946, on the USS Black. He was wounded on a reconnaissance flight over the island of Moritia.
On June 15, 1974, he married Jan Henderson Vanover on the Windham Ranch in Callahan County. He was manager of Contel Telephone Co. and served as mayor of Dumas from 1995-1998. He served as United Way co-drive chairman from 1996-1997 and was a volunteer for Memorial Hospice. He also was a member of the American Legion, North Plains Mens Investment Club, YMCA board and the Dumas Noon Lions. He is best remembered as a member and elder of the First Presbyterian Church of Dumas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Lewis, Jessie and Delbert, and a sister, Shirley Chaney.
The family has requested memorials be made to Memorial Nursing & Rehab, Activity Fund, 302 E. 2nd, Dumas, Texas 79029; Memorial Hospice, 224 East 2nd, Dumas, Texas 79029, or the First Presbyterian Church building fund, P. O. Box 1118, Dumas, Texas 79029.
Survivors include his wife, Jan, of the home; three daughters, Arlisa and Ronnie Cunningham of Dumas, Carla Kirchner and Marla Moen of Big Timber, Mont.; one son, David and Marsha McBee of Dallas , nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

MICKEY LYNN WILLIAMS NOBLES
Memorial services for Mickey Lynn Williams Nobles, 56, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 26, 2007, in the Hartley Christian Fellowship Church in Hartley.
Mrs. Nobles died Sunday, July 22, 2007, in Amarillo.
Born on July 23, 1950, in Dumas, to John E. and Faye (Sims) Williams, she was reared in Hartley and graduated from Hartley High School in 1968. She spent most of her life in the Hartley area and was a police dispatcher for many years. Known for her love of life and great friendships she was a member of the Hartley Christian Fellowship Church and enjoyed hobbies such as handcrafts and needle work and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.
The family has requested memorials be made to BSA Hospice or Olivia’s Angels, P. O. Box 950, Amarillo, Texas, 79105, or Harrington Cancer Center, 1500 Wallace Boulevard, Amarillo, Texas 79106.
Survivors include daughters, Judy and Kyle Shelton of Hartley and Jody and Seth Shedd of Dumas; two brothers, Stan and Diane Williams of Fritch and Johnny and Jelene Williams of Hartley; a sister, Becky and Curtis Brown of Hartley and her parents, John E. and Faye Williams of Hartley; five grandchildren, Haylee, Jordan, Lane, Brett and Shayna, and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.

MARILYN HAGAR
Funeral services for Marilyn Hagar, 58, of Amarillo, formerly of Dumas, were held Friday, Jan. 18, 2008, in Calvary Baptist Church in Dumas. The pastor, Brad Foster, officiated. Burial was in Dumas Cemetery.
Mrs. Hagar died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2008.
Born Aug. 25, 1949, in Matador to Joe and Owayne (Duck) King, Mrs. Hagar grew up in Cactus and was a Dumas High School graduate. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of the Bethel Assembly of God Church.
She was preceded in death by her father and infant son, Troy.
The family has requested memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, 3915 Bell, Amarillo, Texas 79109.
Survivors include her husband, Clifford, of the home; daughters, Janice and Brett Cowan of Lubbock and Heather Hagar of Amarillo; her mother, Owayne King of Dumas; brothers, Gary King of Denver, Colo., and Jimmy King of Dumas, and seven grandchildren.

EDWIN R. “ED” HASELOFF
Funeral services for Edwin R. “Ed” Haseloff, will be held on Sunday, at 11 a.m. in the Cloudcroft High School gymnasium of Cloudcroft, N. M. Charles R. Walker will officiate. Interment will be in James Canyon Cemetery.
Mr. Haseloff died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008, in Ruidoso, N. M.
Born Aug. 18, 1938, in Margaret, to Charles and Nadine (McCurley) Haseloff, he graduated from Dumas High school in 1956. He attended West Texas State University where he was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity and graduated in 1961 with a B.S. degree in biology. He taught in Plains then moved to Oregon where he was a science teacher for two years.
He married Lynette Palmer on Aug. 19, 1967, in Hermiston, Ore. They moved to Cloudcroft where he was a science teacher and track coach for 25 years, retiring in 1991.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Sherry Beth.
The family has suggested memorials be made to the Yucca Council of Boy Scouts of America, P. O. Box 971056, El Paso, Texas 79997 or to the Cloudcroft High School Track Program, P. O. Box 198, Cloudcroft, N. M., 88317.
Survivors include two daughters, Talley and Barry Lyles and Tori and Aaron Bowen, all of Artesia, N. M.; a brother, Gary Haseloff of Austin; his former wife, Lynette Haseloff of Tularosa, N. M.; and four grandchildren.
Hamilton-O’Dell Funeral Home of Alamogordo, N. M., is in charge of funeral arrangements.
