Clinton Wainwright

Clinton Owen Wainwright, 79, of Denton died Saturday, June 24, 2000, at Denton Regional Medical Center.

He was born Aug. 26, 1920, in Kansas City, Kan., to Dan and Flora Groth Wainwright. He married Lillian Beasley in 1942 in Ozark, Ala.

He was president, owner and operator of Wainwright & Associates in Denton. He also served as the assistant state director of the vocational rehabilitation division of the Department of Education in Montgomery, Ala. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean War.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 27, in the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, at First Christian Church in Denton. Oran Nabors and Charlotte Nabors will officiate.

Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday, June 26, at Schmitz-Floyd-Andersen Funeral Home in Denton.

Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church Building Fund.

Survivors include his wife of Denton; a daughter, Tina McCurley of Corinth; two sisters, Alta Fox of Portland, Ore., and Fay Moss of Santa Cruz, Calif.; a brother, Hartwell Wainwright of Fresno, Calif.; and two granddaughters.

Elton Pierce

Ponder -- Elton Pierce, 85, of Ponder died Saturday, June 24, 2000 at Denton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

He was born Aug. 7, 1914, in Chester to John James and Laura Culbertson Pierce.

He had worked for General Dynamics for several years and then retired in 1984 from the parts department at Victor Equipment.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, June 26, at Ash Creek Cemetery in Azle. The Rev. Kim Broadstreet will officiate.

Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today, June 25, at Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home in Denton.

Survivors include his wife of more than 60 years, Ruby Leggett Pierce of Ponder; a daughter, Lola Irene Pierce of Ponder; two sisters, Effie Houston of Denton and Bertha Green of Saginaw; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Pauline Coker

Pauline Coppage Coker, 69, of Denton, died Sunday, June 25, 2000, at Denton Community Hospital.

She was born Oct. 11, 1930, in Broken Arrow, Okla., to John and Opal Bradburn. She was a graduate of Cooke County College, and Texas Woman's University, receiving her bachelor's and master's degrees.

She was a retired case worker for Texas Department of Welfare, and also taught at Lamar Tech University and Oklahoma State University in the sociology department.

She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, at Roselawn Memorial Park. The Rev. Jerry Putnam will officiate. Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include one son, John Coppage of Denton; one sister, Virginia Wilson of Arlington; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; several nephews and nieces. Her parents, and one son, Tim Coppage, are deceased.

Garland Patterson

Garland T. Patterson, 71, of Denton, died Sunday, June 25, 2000, at Denton Regional Medical Center.

Albert Carty

Albert Carty, 86, of Denton, died Saturday, June 24, 2000, at Denton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

He was born Jan. 6, 1914, in McKinney, to Sam and Victoria (McCarty) Carty. He married Itsuko Akatsuska in 1953 in Yokohoma, Japan.

Mr. Carty served in the United States Army during World War II and the Korean War. He retired from Morrison Milling after 18 years of service.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 29, at Belew Cemetery. The Rev. Ken Gray will officiate.

Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 28, at Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home in Denton.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, James Carty of Denton and Charles Carty of Little Elm; daughter, Diana Owens of Aubrey; three brothers, J.V. Carty of Shreveport, La., Sam Carty of Greenville and James Carty of San Angelo; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Dr. Imogene Mohat

Dr. Imogene Mohat, 91, of Denton, died Monday, June 26, 2000, at Denton Nursing Center.

Garland T. Patterson

Garland T. Patterson, 71, of Denton, died Sunday, June 25, 2000, at Denton Regional Medical Center.

He was born April 13, 1929, in Stamford, to Johnny and Sara (Russell) Patterson. He married Clara Hard on Jan. 13, 1951, in Denton.

Mr. Patterson retired as Warehouse Foreman from Firestone Tire and Rubber after 31 years of service.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 28, in the chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home in Denton. The Rev. Bill Black will officiate. Burial will be in Little Elm Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today, Tuesday, June 27, at Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife; son, Jimmy Lee Patterson of Denton; sister, Linnie Christine Calvert of Greenville; and one grandchild.

Tommy L. Seabolt

Lake Dallas -- Tommy L. Seabolt Sr., 58, of Lake Dallas, died Saturday, June 24, 2000, in Dayton, Ohio.

He was born May 9, 1942, in Dallas, to Edwin Taylor and Anna Belle Gordon Seabolt. He married Linda Hughes, who died on Jan. 31, 1999. He married Mary H. Puckett on April 7, 2000, in Denton County.

Mr. Seabolt was a retired firefighter. He served with the Farmers Branch Fire Department for 25 years.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 28, at Swisher Cemetery in Lake Dallas. The Rev. William E. LaBarr will officiate.

Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. today, Tuesday, June 27, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville.

Survivors include wife; son, Tommy Seabolt of Frisco; three daughters, Shannon Jeter of Ponder, Lisa Ricehouse of Argyle and Christy Patterson of Lake Dallas; three stepsons, Carl, Richard and Mike Puckett, all of Dayton, Ohio; four brothers, Kenneth Seabolt of Lewisville, Robert Seabolt of Colorado Springs, Colo., Charlie Seabolt of Quinlan and Johnny Seabolt of Lake Dallas; eight grandchildren; and seven step-grandchildren.

Daisy D. Bond

Lewisville - Daisy D. Bond, 93, of Lewisville, died Tuesday, June 27, 2000, at Medical Center of Plano.

She was born April 14, 1907, in Prosper, to Willie and Ada Mae Davidson Gaulden. She married Byron L. Dungan. He died in November, 1948. She married Rubert Bond on Aug. 2, 1958. He died in 1983.

Ms. Bond was a member of the Modern Housewives Club and worked as a sales clerk for Moores Drug Store in Lewisville.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Lewisville.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 29, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville.

Visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. tonight, Wednesday, June 28, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, 907 W. Main St., Lewisville, Texas 75067.

Survivors include daughter, Bobbie Galgan of Colorado Springs, Colo.; five sisters, Dorothy Self of McKinney, Ruth Armstrong of Denton, Alma Smith of Richardson, Myrt Keahey of Dallas and Betty Walley of Dennison; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Her two sons, Carl Dungan and B.L. Dungan, are deceased.

Sarah Eva Gray

Sarah Eva Gray, 90, of Denton, died Tuesday, June 27, 2000, at Denton Community Hospital.

She was born July 10, 1909, in Okolona, Ark., to James and Lillie (Baber) Huffman. She married John A. Gray on Aug. 8, 1933, in Mount Pleasant. He died Nov. 29, 1988.

Mrs. Gray was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Pearl Street Church of Christ.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 30, in the chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home in Denton. Gary Summers and Don Killough will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 29, at Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, Denton Division, P.O. Box 100, Denton, Texas 76202-0100.

Survivors include her son, Charles Gray of Plano; daughter, Faye Gray Stewart of Sun Lakes, Ariz.; brother, Dale Huffman of Little Rock, Ark.; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Earline Roach

Earline Roach, 81, of Old Alton, died Wednesday, June 28, 2000, at her residence.

Dr. Imogene Mohat

Dr. Imogene Dickey Mohat, 91, of Denton, died Monday, June 26, 2000, at Denton Rehabilitation Center.

She was born Sept. 30, 1908, in Paris, Texas, to Thomas Clay Bentley and Emogene (Roundtree) Bentley. She married Dr. John T. Mohat. He died on Sept. 22, 1993.

Dr. Mohat was an English professor at the University of North Texas.

She was a member of the P.E.D. Women's Auxiliary.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 1, at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Stephen Plunkett will
officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton.

The family will be at Schmitz-Floyd-Andersen Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 30, for visitation.

Survivors include the children of the late Dr. John T. Mohat, son, Mike Mohat of Denton; and daughter, Marion Clark of Bridgewater, N.J. Survivors also include niece, Barbara Patrick of Fort Worth; great-niece, Tamara Cameron of Fort Worth; great-great-niece, Kathryn Cameron and Dawn Cameron, both of Fort Worth; nephew, Jim Bentley of Cleburne; great-nephew, Aaron Bentley of Cleburne; cousins, Freda Fry of Hugo, Okla., Billy Roundtree of Elsberry, Mo., Miller Hamilton of Tulsa, Okla., Elizabeth Wilkins of New Orleans, La., Charlene King of Tyler, Jean Earls of Tyler, Edna Scroggin of Rowlett and Rudy Roundtree of Coppell.

Jeffrey A. Watt

Jeffrey Alan Watt, beloved husband, father, son, brother and close friend to so many, passed away unexpectedly at home in his sleep on June 26, 2000, at the young age of 52.

The son of George and Ann Watt, Jeff became a successful and highly respected businessman in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, nationally and internationally, first as a principal of Watt & Company, and later with Marketing Specialists. Jeff served as a medic in Vietnam 1969 to 1970.

Jeff loved and cherished his sons, Andrew and Christopher. He was also a lover of life, which was a celebration that he wholeheartedly embraced as the "life" of every gathering and as a true adventurer and explorer. Jeff's kind heart, overflowing generosity, warm smile and contagious laugh will be missed by everyone who knew him and loved him dearly.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Lee; mother, Ann; son, Christopher; brothers, Michael and wife Lynn, and Howard and wife Maggie; sisters, Marion Brown and husband Jerry, Melissa Watt and niece and goddaughter Arianna Stout. Jeff is preceded in death by his son, Andrew and father, George.

Services will be held 2:30 p.m. Thursday, June 29, 2000, at David Lefkowitz Chapel Temple Emmanuel-El with Rabbi Klein officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations please be made to the Andrew Watt Memorial Scholarship Fund, Episcopal School of Dallas, 4100 Merrell Road.

Restland Funeral Home in Dallas is in charge of arrangements.
