Anna Turnham
Anna Marie Turnham, 60, of Denton died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2001, at Denton Regional Hospital.
She was born Nov. 5, 1941, in Gainesville. On May 12, 1982, she married Rufus Turnham in Gainesville.
Mrs. Turnham was a homemaker.
She was Catholic.
A service will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 8, at Clement-Keel Funeral Home Chapel in Gainesville. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Gainesville.
The family will be at Clement-Keel Funeral Home from 6 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 7, for visitation.
Survivors include her husband of Denton; her son, Scott Williams of Krum; one step-son, Gerald Turnham of Whitesboro; two daughters, Sharon Harbin of Whitesboro, and Karen Vitale of Fort Worth; two step-daughters, Debra Nunn of Gainesville, Lisa Walston of Benton; two brothers, Lawrence Wiesmann of Reo Hondo, and Leroy Wiesmann of Tulsa, Okla.; two sisters, Bertha Weismann of Gainesville, and Leona Miller of Dallas; 13 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Frank Bailey
Olney – Frank W. Bailey, 57, of Olney died Monday, Nov. 5, 2001, at an Olney hospital.
He was born Dec. 30, 1943, in Olney to the late Joe W. and Anne Mildred (Belyeu) Bailey.
Mr. Bailey was retired. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the American Legion Post #202 in Wichita Falls.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 7, at Cottonwood Cemetery, Bryson. The Rev. Michael Rowe, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Bryson, will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.
Survivors include three sons, Frankie Bailey of Graham, Eric Bailey of Denton, and Brandon Bailey of Bryson; two brothers, Clarence Ray Asher of Olney, and Wallace Robert Asher of Wichita Falls; two sisters, Carolyn Kay Wheeler of Wichita Falls, and Shirley Elaine Downing of Jermyn; and eight grandchildren.
A.V. Brumley
Pickton – A.V. Brumley, 73, of Pickton died Monday, Nov. 4, 2001, in Denton.
He was born June 1, 1928 in Pickton.
Mr. Brumley was a production worker for Sun Oil Company and served in the U.S. Army.
He was Baptist.
A service will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 7, at Beaty Funeral Home Chapel, Winnsboro. Burial will be in Winterfield Cemtery.
Pallbearers will be Blake Brumley, Cole Kruger, Billy Don Brumley, Cade Kruger, Mark Brumley, and Jimmy Cummings.
The family will be at Beaty Funeral Home, Winnsboro, from 6 to 8 p.m. for visitation.
Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
Survivors include three sons, Mike Brumley of Snyder, Danny Brumley of Denton, Ricky Brumley of Snyder; one daughter, Angela Kruger of Graham; one sister, Bonnie Elledge of Snyder; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Patsey Alford Brumley; and his parents, George Lesley and Kate Prudy Brumley.
Billy Jones
Krum – Billy Gene Jones, 74, of Krum died Monday, Nov. 5, 2001, at his residence.
He was born Sept. 23, 1927, in Krum to A.W. Eunice (McFall) Jones. On April 3, 1954, he married Maybeth Wood in Mesquite. He attended North Texas State University.
Mr. Jones was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Bolivar Masonic Lodge #418. He was a member and lay-witness mission leader at Krum United Methodist Church. He was head of the quality Department at LTV until he retired in 1984. He later worked at Northrop-Grumman until 1993.
A service will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 8, 2001, at the First Baptist Church in Krum. The Rev. E. Guy Wilson, Rev. Ed Gatlin, and Rev. Kara Stalcup will officiate. Interment will follow at Jackson Cemetery. Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Tim Jones, Larry Jones, Terry Jones, Watt Jones, Rick Jones, and Harold Wood.

Survivors include his wife of Krum; five sons, Tim Jones of Krum, Larry Jones of Ponder, Terry Jones of Krum, Watt Jones of Krum, and Rick Jones of Sanger; and 15 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Claudia Jones; three brothers, Snooks Jones, Travis Jones, and A.W. "Junior" Jones; and three grandchildren.
Gordon West
Gilmer – Gordon Emmett West, 77, of Gilmer died Thursday, Nov.1, 2001, in Gilmer.
He was born Feb. 24, 1924, in Cooper to John and Eunice West.
Mr. West was self-employed as a rancher, and was the former owner of Gordo’s Restaurant in Dallas. He was in the U.S. Navy at Pearl Harbor and a resident of Gilmer for 29 years.
He was Protestant.
A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at Lakeview Cemetery, Longview. Bob Lanzby officiated. Interment followed at Lakeview Cemetery, Longview. Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Nell L. West of Gilmer; his son, Shannon West of Gilmer; one brother, Harold West of Cooper; two sisters, Lucille Waters of Dallas, and Errolyn Dunn of Aubrey; and one grandchild.
Clarence Ridge
Clarence James Ridge, 58, of Denton died Friday, Nov. 2, 2001, in Denton.
He was born March 21, 1943, in Denton to the late Mary Jane Fourteen Ridge and Simon Ridge.
A service will be at 12 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, at First United Methodist Church, Denton. The Rev. Reginald Logan will officiate. Burial will be in Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas.
The family will be at Peoples Funeral Home in Denton from 7 to 8 p.m. tonight, Thursday, Nov. 8, for visitation.
Survivors include his wife Nell Daniels Ridge of Denton; his son, Brandon Keith Ridge of Beaufort, S.C.; his daughter, Brina Keshawn Ridge of Chicago, Ill.; one brother, Albert Ridge of Cerritos, Calif.; and two sisters, Dorothy Tatum of Denton and Victoria Griffin of Battle Creek, Mich.
Lois Womack
Nocona – Lois Faye Womack, 73, of Nocona died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2001, at a hospital in Wichita Falls.
She was born Oct. 12, 1928, in Nocona to the late Delia Lumley and Otis Keck.
Mrs. Womack was a bookkeeper at Gibbs Drugs for 33 years. She was a member of the Nocona Eastern Star and Past Worthy Matron.
A service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, at First Baptist Church of Nocona. The Rev. Bryan Parks will officiate. Burial will be in Nocona Cemetery, Nocona.
The family will be at Scott Morris Funeral Home at 2 p.m. today, Thursday, Nov. 8, for visitation.
Survivors include her husband, Clifford Womack of Nocona; two sons, Larry Womack of Denton, and Randy Womack of Nocona; her daughter, Kathy Blue of Montague; five sisters, Dorothy Oldham and Betty Brandon, both of Nocona, Linda McGaughey of Wichita Falls, Joyce Jackson of Andrews, and Gail Shackelford of Antelope; one brother, Wayne Keck of Quinlin; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Ray Boydston
Sanger – Ray Boydston, 77, of Sanger died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2001, at Denton Regional Medical Center.
He was born May 16, 1924, in Krum to Bob and Clair Boydston. He attended Krum schools.
Mr. Boydston was self-em-ployed at Boydston Foods.
He attended Bolivar Baptist Church.
A service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, in the chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, Denton.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today, Friday, Nov. 9, for visitation.

Survivors include one daughter, Raye Dale Whitemire of Pilot Point; two sons, Rodney Boydston of Lubbock, and Scott Boydston of Denton; his sister, Virginia Morrison of Denton; his brother Jim Boydston of Florida; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Jess Boydston.
Carol Dansby
Decatur – Carol Ann Dansby, 50, of Decatur died Nov. 7, 2001, in Fort Worth.
She was born Nov. 7, 1951, in Decatur.
Ms. Dansby was employed at the Head Start program in Decatur.
She was a member of The Worship Temple in Chico. She was a former musician at St. John Baptist Church.
A service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at St. John Baptist Church, Decatur. The Rev. Eddie Johnson will officiate assisted by the Revs. B.J. Thomas, Eugene Florence, C.D. Lockhart and Marvin Allen. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, Denton.
Pallbearers will be Cedrick, Tommy and Mike Bell, David and Lee Ray Minor, Ray Russell and Ronnie Dansby.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 today, Friday, Nov. 9, at Coker Funeral Home, Decatur.
Survivors include her son, James Dansby Jr. of Fort Worth; her daughter Amy Jones of Fort Worth; four sisters, Dorothy Bell and Janet Minor, both of Decatur, Gwen Brooks of Fort Worth and Veronica Jones of Dallas; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Bennie Coleman.
Irene Hoover
Dallas – Irene Rosalee Hoover, 84, died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2001, at her residence.
She was born Sept. 19, 1917, in Ardmore, Okla., to Samuel L. Kelly and Ethel Yancy Kelly. She was married to the late Thurman Hoover.
Mrs. Hoover was a retired nurse’s aid.
A service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at Aubrey Assembly of God Church. The Rev. David Bruce will officiate. Burial will be in Belew Cemetery. Slay Memorial Funeral Center of Aubrey is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two sisters, Maye Lorenda Hopper of Aubrey, and Eula Vanoy Owenby of Fort Worth.
Larry Oldaker
Shady Shores – Larry Douglas Oldaker, 47, of Shady Shores died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2001, at Medical Cities Hospital in Dallas.
He was born Feb. 20, 1954, in Deming, N.M., to Charles Jefferson and Alice Louise (Polley) Oldaker.
Mr. Oldaker worked as a licensed plumber.
A service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at Trinity United Methodist Church. The Rev. Steve Davis will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Cross Roads. Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Jai Burunaphan, Matt Augustine, Ron Bell, Chuck Patterson, Bruce Oldaker and Jeff Oldaker.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Kathryn Oldaker of Shady Shores; his daughter Rachel Anne Oldaker of Shady Shores; three sons, Charlie Summers Oldaker and Patrick Alan Oldaker, both of Shady Shores, and Jason Ward Oldaker of San Angelo; two grandsons; his stepmother; three brothers and three sisters.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
James E. Dubose
