He was born Dec. 27, 1920, in Topeka, Kan. He was a member of First Baptist Church, a disabled veteran and a 32nd Degree Mason.
Survivors: wife, Margaret Hanson; daughters, Susan Whitley of Edna and Mary Bluhm of Corpus Christi; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at Cage-Mills Funeral Directors in Corpus Christi, Everhart Chapel.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church Chapel in Corpus Christi.
Burial will be at Seaside Memorial Park Cemetery. Cage-Mills Funeral Home, Corpus Christi, (361) 854-3282.

BAY CITY -- Curby Lee Harkless Sr., 60, of Bay City and Cedar Lane, died Wednesday, June 7, 2000.
He was born June 23, 1939, in Bay City, to Cody Davis Harkless of Bay City and the late Mayfield Harkless.
Survivors: wife, Edna M. Harkless of Cedar Lane; daughters, Valerie D. Austin of Cedar Lane, Andrea L. Harkless of Carson, Calif., Lois E. Harkless of Missouri City, Texas, and Ywanda D. Woodard of Stafford; son, Curby Lee Harkless Jr. of Bay City; mother; sisters, Mildred Webb of Oakland, Calif., Ella Newsome of Houston, Betsy Lemon of Bay City, Carol Harkless and Mary Moses, both of Houston; brother, Aaron Harkless of Houston and 10 grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: father; brothers, Preston Harkless, Mitchell Harkless; sisters, Germalean Collins and Joyce Wright.
Visitation will be until 9 p.m. today at Green's Mortuary in Bay City.
Family visitation will be 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today in the chapel at the funeral home.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at First Berean Baptist Church in Cedar Lane, the Revs. Murry Griggs and Andrew Floyd officiating.

CUERO -- Lena M. Whitten, 87, of Cuero, died Saturday, June 10, 2000.
She was born Oct. 7, 1912, in Sublime, to the late Jack and Mary Hall Rickman. She was a textile worker at Guadalupe Valley Cotton Mill and a homemaker.
Survivors: son, Tommy J. Whitten of Cuero; brothers, Richard Rickman and Jack Rickman, both of Cuero and one grandchild.
Preceded in death by: parents and husband, Joe Bennett Whitten.

She was born Sept. 1, 1906, in Wyattsboro. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Troy.
Survivors: sons, Matt Blundell of Tacoma, Wash., formerly of Victoria and Ray Blundell of Troy; six grandchildren, including Keith Blundell of Victoria, and 5 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: husband, Claude Blundell; parents; grandson, Tony Blundell of Victoria; granddaughter.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. today at Thompsonville Methodist Church near Waelder.
Burial will be at Thompsonville Cemetery.

GULFPORT, Miss. - Antonio Reynaldo Gonzales, 29, of Gulfport, Miss., died Monday, Jan. 24, 2000.
He was born Aug. 19, 1970, in Yorktown, to Andres Gonzales and Mary Gonzales Sr. of Stafford. He was a member the U.S. Navy for 10 years and was a veteran of Desert Storm. He was a Catholic.
Survivors: wife, Emma Spiegelhauer Gonzales; stepson, Michael Spiegelhauer Gonzales of Gulfport, Miss.; parents; brother, Andres Gonzales Jr.; and grandmother, Antonia Garcia of Yorktown.
Preceded in death by: grandparents, Antonio R. Garcia and Antonio and Angelita Gonzales.
A rosary was recited 7 p.m. Friday at Lamprecht-Janssen Funeral Home chapel.
Services will be 3 p.m. today at San Luis Catholic Church, the Rev. Frank Lenz officiating.
