Services for Lewis Marlon Crocker, 59, of Bedias were held Thursday at Shiloh Baptist Church in Bedias.

Mr. Crocker died Tuesday.

He was born in Madison County.

Survivors include five daughters and two sons-in-law, Garvin and Tammie Lynn Allen of Navasota, Donald Ray and Rhonda Lee Boullion of Bedias, Jennifer Rena Crocker of Bedias, Kimberly Sue Crocker of Albuquerque, N.M., and Virginia K. Crocker of Berkville, Texas; two brothers and a sister-in-law, William Crocker of Berkville and Jimmie and Debra Crocker of Jasper, Texas; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Kelsie and Georgia Loper of Richards, Texas, and Paul and Ava Watson of Livingston, Texas; seven grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Julia Nadine Boswell
Nov. 3, 1914 — March 16, 2000

Graveside services for Julia Nadine Boswell, 85, of Rockdale, Texas, are set for 2 p.m. Friday at Little River Cemetery near Jones Prairie community, Texas.

The Rev. Doug Springer of Rockdale Full Gospel Church will officiate.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.

Mrs. Boswell died Thursday at Scott & White Hospital in Temple, Texas.

She was born in Milam County, Texas, and moved to Rockdale in 1956.

She was a nurse at Rockdale Nursing Home.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, Ira Lee Parker and Raymond Boswell.

Survivors include a brother, Walter Burnett of Cameron; a sister, Lanell White of Jones Prairie Community; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Jewel Opal Blackmon
Sept. 19, 1904 — March 15, 2000

Services for Jewel Opal Blackmon, 95, of Bryan are set for 10 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.

The Rev. Jack Mitchell and the Rev. Henry Stoval will officiate. Burial will be at Bryan City Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. until the service begins Saturday.

Mrs. Blackmon died Wednesday at Sherwood Health Care in Bryan.

She was born in Bell County, Texas.

She moved to Bryan in 1944. She attended Trinity Baptist Church and was a member of Eastern Star Baptist organization.

She was preceded in death by her husband, H.B. “Doc” Blackmon.

Sur vivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Walter E. and Dotty Copeland of Bossier City, La.; two grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

Londell Smith
Dec. 30, 1981 — March 10, 2000

Services for Londell Smith, 18, of Franklin are set for 1 p.m. Saturday at Bethel Baptist Church in Calvert.

The Rev. Eddie Johnson will officiate. Burial will be at Spring Hill Cemetery in Calvert.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Robertson Funeral Home in Marlin, Texas. A wake will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Survivors include his mother, Margie Flentroy of Franklin; his stepfather, Earl Lee Cross; one sister, Amy Smith; one stepbrother, Tommy Cross; two stepsisters, Cherrie Tyler and Tasha Mireles; two grandmothers, Mary Thompson and Ida Lee Flentroy; five uncles; eight aunts; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Esther Drews
Feb. 7, 1921 — March 16, 2000

Services for Esther Drews, 79, of Brenham are set for 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Brenham.

The Rev. David Williams will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Brenham.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Memorial Oaks Chapel.

A rosary service will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Memorial Oaks Chapel.

Miss Drews died Thursday in Trinity Medical Center in Brenham.

She was born in Rocky Hill, Texas.

She was a homemaker, and she cared for her parents until their deaths. She attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Louis and Rosa Bugaj of Brenham; a niece and nephew-in-law, Rex and Shirley Cook; two nephews and nieces-in-law, Charles “Butch” and Betty Bugaj, and Chris and Tammy Bugaj; five great-nieces and nephews; and five great-great-nieces and nephews.

Mildred Zubik Sebesta
November 1911 — March 16, 2000

Services for Mildred Zubik Sebesta, 89, of Corpus Christi are set for 10 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Corpus Christi.

The Rev. Roger Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Seaside Cemetery in Corpus Christi.

A rosary service will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Maxwell P. Dunne funeral home in Corpus Christi.

Mrs. Sebesta died Thursday in Corpus Christi.

She was born in Bryan.

She attended Villa Maria Catholic Academy in Bryan and was a photographer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emil T. Sebesta.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, John Edward and Charlotte Sebesta of Corpus Christi; three brothers, B.J. “Buck” Zubik of Bryan, Jerome “Jack” Zubik of Bryan, and Frank Zubik of Bryan; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Evelyn Bage
Jan. 9, 1929 — March 16, 2000

BRENHAM — Services for Evelyn Bage, 71, of Brenham are set for 3 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham.
The Rev. Lawrence Bade will officiate. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery.

Mrs. Bage died Thursday in Trinity Care Center in Brenham.
She was born in Brenham and was a lifelong resident of the Brenham area. She was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her husband, Richard “Dick” Bage of Brenham; and a son and daughter-in-law, Wayde and Linda Bage of Brenham.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Brenham Animal Shelter or St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brenham.

T.W. Cockrell
Sept. 6, 1925 — March 17, 2000

BRECKENRIDGE, Texas — Services for T.W. Cockrell, 74, of Breckenridge are set for 3 p.m. Sunday at the First Baptist Church in Breckenridge.

The Rev. Cecil Harper will officiate. Burial will be in Breckenridge Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Saturday in the Heritage Room of Morehart Mortuary in Breckenridge.

Mr. Cockrell died Friday in Abilene Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Moran, Texas, and had lived in Breckenridge since 1935. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was retired as a measurement supervisor with Koch Oil Co. He was a member of First Baptist Church and the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Nalda Cockrell of Breckenridge; two daughters and a son-in-law, Debra Ann Wilson of College Station and Patricia Lynne and Tino Maldonado of Bryan; a sister, Willie Mae Murrah of Breckenridge; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Joseph W. Geppert
March 20, 1917 — March 17, 2000

Graveside services for Joseph W. Geppert, 82, of Bryan are set for 2 p.m. Sunday at Bryan City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. to noon Sunday at Hillier Funeral Home in Bryan.

Dr. Geppert died Friday at his home.

He was born in Vermillion, S.D., and had lived in Bryan since 1947. He was a retired physician and served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife, Marcia A. Geppert of Bryan; three sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Susan Geppert of Houston, Daniel and Jane Geppert and Gary and Joy Geppert, all of Arlington, Texas; four daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Harvey Miller and Mary Diane and Phil Morley, all of Grapevine, Texas, Peggy and Roger Kouba of Rosharon, Texas, and Barbara and Nathan Edward of Austin; a brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Betty Geppert of Sarasota, Fla.; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Mary Kreitzer of Minneapolis, Minn., and Jean and Russell Orr of Phoenix, Ariz.; 20 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Brazos Valley, 205 E. 29th Street, Bryan, Texas 77803-6906 or to a charity of choice.

Joseph George ‘Cann’ Williams Sr.
Aug. 24, 1912 — March 15, 2000

Services for Joseph George “Cann” Williams Sr., 87, of Bryan are set for noon Saturday at Clayton Baptist Church in.

The Rev. O.L. Leveston of Clayton Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery .

Arrangements are under the direction of Peoples Mortuary in Bryan.

Mr. Williams died Wednesday at his home.

He was born in Brazos County and was a lifetime resident of Bryan. He was a retired custodian and was a member of Clayton Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna L. Williams.
Survivors include a son, Sammy L. Williams of Hamlin, Texas; 15 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Infant Boy Velasco
March 17, 2000 — March 17, 2000

Private family services for Infant Boy Velasco will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hillier Funeral Home in Bryan.

He was born and died Friday.

Survivors include his parents, Maria Velasco of Madisonville and Lucio Vera of Madisonville.
