Miguel ‘Mike’ Molina Sr.
April 27, 1905 — March 24, 2000

CAMERON — Services for Miguel “Mike” Molina Sr., 94, of Cameron are set for 2 p.m. Monday at St. Monica’s Catholic Church in Cameron.
The Rev. Tom Hanus will officiate. Burial will be in Hernandez Cemetery.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday in the Kathryn W. Green Chapel of Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Cameron.
Mr. Molina died Friday in a Temple hospital.
He was born in Cuidad Acunia, Mexico, and was a lifetime member of St. Monica’s Catholic Church. He worked for the Santa Fe Railroad, Anderle Lumber Company and St. Monica’s Catholic Church. He was president of the Committee Patriotico de Cameron for many years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Guadalupe Villanueva.
Survivors include three sons, Mike Molina Jr. and Jesse Molina, both of Cameron, and Fred Molina of Killeen; two daughters, Mary Gonzales of Killeen and Patsy Ambriz of Cameron; a brother, Frank Molina of Bakersfield, Calif.; a sister, Guadalupe M. Flores of Lubbock, Texas; 18 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

Eloise Moon
Sept. 28, 1917 — March 24, 2000

NAVASOTA — Services for Eloise Moon, 82, of Navasota are set for 10:30 a.m. Monday at Christ Our Light Catholic Church in Navasota.
The Rev. Norbert J. Maduzia Jr. of St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church in Houston will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Lindley-Robertson-Holt Funeral Home in Navasota.
A vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Moon died Friday at her home.
She was born in Houston and was a retired salesperson. She was a member of the Country Coffee Club and Christ Our Light Catholic Church, where she was a member of the the Altar Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert m. Moon.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Lanier “Lani” Grice of Navasota; three nieces; two nephews; and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

Katie Mae Thomas Nutall
Feb. 19, 1953 — March 21, 2000

Services for Katie Mae Thomas Nutall, 47, of Bryan are set for 1 p.m. Monday at Shiloh Baptist Church in Bryan.
The Rev. Larry T. Hall of Shiloh Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at Jones-Washington Mortuary in Bryan.
A wake service will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Nutall died Tuesday in St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan.
She was born in Burleson County and had lived in Bryan for most of her life. She was a supervisor for the Texas A&M Biochemical Lab and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and the Order of Eastern Star - Badell Chapter No. 9.
Survivors include two sons, Sammy Lee Nutall and Courtney Thomas, both of Bryan; two daughters, Nicole Renae Nutall and Brandy Thomas, both of Bryan; two brothers, Lee Thomas and Earnest Thomas, both of Tunis; eight sisters, Mary M. Thomas of Dallas, Shirley Thomas and Betty Brooks, both of Bryan, Lillie Mae Green of Tunis, Lula Mae Hemphill of Oklahoma, Rose Thomas of Somerville, Jean Thomas of Conroe, Texas, and Azzie Thomas of Austin.

Sandon Erwin Sherer
Nov. 10, 1938 — March 25, 2000

MADISONVILLE — Services for Sandon Erwin Sherer, 61, of Madisonville are set for 2 p.m. Monday at the Madisonville Funeral Home in Madisonville.
The Rev. Jeff Witcher will officiate. Burial will be in Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m., and from 9 a.m. to the time of the services Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Sherer died Saturday in Temple, Texas.
He was born in Spur, Texas, and had lived in Madisonville for 2 years, having moved from Conroe. He was retired in sales from Duriron Company, Inc. and five years with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. He served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Bettye Sherer of Madisonville; a son and daughter-in-law, Darrell and Candace Sherer of Knoxville, Tenn.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Nylene and Mark Holl of Katy, Texas, Stacy and Alan Fordyce of Lees Summit, Mo., and Vicki and Kenneth Borel of Nederland, Texas; a brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy D. and Rose Sherer of Houston; a niece; and seven grandchildren.

Hilton Stewart
Jan. 24, 1932 — March 25, 2000

BREMOND — Services for Hilton Stewart, 68, of Bremond are set for 1 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Bremond.
The Rev. Stan Ortner of First Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Bremond Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Monday at Bremond Funeral Home in Bremond.
Mr. Stewart died Saturday at his home.
He was a lifelong resident of Bremond. He was retired from the Engineering Tech Highway Department and was a member of First Baptist Church and the Bremond Cemetery Board.
He was preceded in death by his wife, June Stewart.
Survivors include a son; Johnny Stewart of Bremond; four daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Larry Murray of Waxahachie, Texas, Andrea and Mike Croholski and Marsha and David Rekieta, all of Bremond, and Beverly and Bill Clark of McKinney, Texas; a sister, Marie Abraham of Bremond; an aunt; and eight grandchildren.

Ernest Lamar Weatherby
March 12, 1921 — March 24, 2000

BRENHAM — Services for Ernest Lamar Weatherby, 79, of Brenham are set for 11 a.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church in Brenham.
The Rev. Harry Vein will officiate. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery with military honors.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham.
Mr. Weatherby died Friday at his home.
He was born in Centerville and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Brenham. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the VFW Post No. 7104.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Weatherby of Brenham; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ernest L. and Judy Weatherby of Brenham and Roger N. and Vicky Weatherby of Spring, Texas; a brother and sister-in-law, John Wade and Gwendoline Weatherby of Kingsland, Texas; and four grandchildren.

Helen Murlene Powers Sanders White
April 28, 1921 — March 24, 2000

CENTERVILLE — Services for Helen Murlene Powers Sanders White, 78, of Bryan are set for 10 a.m. Monday at the Leona Baptist Church in Leona.
The Revs. Henry Stovall of Trinity Baptist Church in Bryan and Mark Gray of Leona Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday at Forest Park East Cemetery (Gulf Freeway) south of Houston.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Walters Funeral Home in Centerville.
Mrs. White died Friday in a Bryan hospital.
She was born in Klondike, Texas, and was formerly of Houston and Leona. She was a homemaker and was a charter member of the Leona Baptist Church and at the time of her death was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Bryan.
Survivors include her husband, Al White of Bryan; two sons, Dr. Dan Sanders of Houston and Don Sanders of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; a step-son, Fred White of Houston; two step-daughters, Margaret Hubbard of Iuka, Miss., and Linda Patrick of Tomball, Texas; a brother, Bobby Powers of League City, Texas; three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and a great-step-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Leona Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 202, Leona, Texas 75850.

Jane Marcia Bremer
April 9, 1951 — March 23, 2000

Jane Marcia Dobrovolny was born April 9, 1951 in Bryan, Texas, the daughter of Charles and Pauline Dobrovolny. Jane attended Crockett Elementary School and Stephen F. Austin High School. She earned her degree in sociology at Texas A&M University in College Station, graduating in 1973.

Jane became the wife of Ronald Bremer on August 23, 1986. Jane became a member of the Lutheran Church at Beautiful Savior. Later, the family would become members of Shepherd of the Plains Lutheran Church upon moving to Lubbock, Texas.

Ron and Jane were blessed with three children; Ben, Betsy and Bradley. Jane’s love for children was always evident. She cared for them constantly; she prayed for them continually; she guided them daily in learning and in life.

Jane’s commitment to her own children and others was evident at Murfee Elementary School in Lubbock. She was room mother, book fair organizer, school savings bank assistant, PTA member and key leader for “Designation Imagination”, an extra-curricular program that helps students develop creative problem-solving skills. She was Volunteer of the Year at Murfee for the 96-97 school year. She was someone on whom others always could rely upon.

The same was true at her church. Jane led children through Sunday school lessons. She helped with Vacation Bible School, assisted in staging Christmas pageants and other work necessary to the betterment of children.

The Lord took Jane into his Heavenly Kingdom on March 23, 2000. She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, Ronald H. Bremer of Lubbock; her mother, Pauline Dobrovolny of Bryan; two sons, Benjamin and Bradley Bremer of Lubbock; one daughter, Betsy Bremer of Lubbock; one brother, Scott Dobrovolny of Bryan; two sisters, Paula Looney of San Antonio and Sarah Dobrovolny of Bryan.

The family suggests memorials to: Polycystic Kidney Research Foundation, 4901 Main Street, Ste. 200, Kansas City, Mo. 64112-2634; Shepherd of the Plains Lutheran Church, 5812 33rd Street, Lubbock, Texas 79424-1922; or Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 1007 Krenek Tap Road, College Station, Texas 77840.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28, 2000 at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 1007 Krenek Tap Road, College Station, Texas. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Entombment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Bryan, Texas. Arrangements are under the personal care of White Funeral Home of Lubbock, Texas.

Robert Lee Davis
January 17, 1927 — March 23, 2000
Robert Lee Davis, 73, passed away Thursday, March 23.

He was born on January 17, 1927 in McCloud, California. Services will be held Tuesday, March 28, at 2 p.m. at

Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan with Rev. Dale Suel officiating, and interment to follow at Rest Ever Cemetery.

Visitation will begin Monday evening from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and from 8 a.m. to the time of the services Tuesday under the direction of Memorial Funeral Chapel.

Mr. Davis obtained his Ph.D.. in statistics at Texas A&M University. He was a veteran of both W.W.II and the Korean Conflict serving in the U.S. Air Force and the Merchant Marines. Mr. Davis also was a member of the Lions Club.

He is survived by his wife, Judith Davis of Nayarit, Bucerias, Mexico; four sons, Clifton and Kerri Davis of Everett, Washington, Randell and Donna Davis of Scurry, Texas, Joshua Davis and Jacob Davis, both of Bucerias, Mexico; one step-son, Christopher Mizener of Chicago, Ill.; one daughter, Debra and David Matthews of Marysville, Washington; one step-daughter, Lisa and Darrell Price of Camano Island, Washington; step-mother, Leola Davis of Bryan, Texas; one sister, LaNell Crell of DeRidder, Louisiana; eleven grandchildren, Aubrey Davis, Zachery Davis, Kyle Matthews, Tyler Matthews, Maghen Matthews, Ashley Davis, Shane Davis, Christopher Mizener Jr., Kathleen Mizener, Melissa Price and Eddie Price.

Memorials may be made to The Music Arts Center at the American School, P.O. Box 275 B, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

Jewel Barnett Moore
Feb. 5, 1906 — March 25, 2000

Funeral services for Jewel Barnett Moore, 94, of Conroe, Texas, will be held Tuesday, March 28, 2000 at 11 a.m. in Shiloh Baptist Church, with Rev. Clifford Barnett officiating.

Interment will follow in Shiloh Community Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Monday, March 27, 2000 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe.

Jewel was born February 5, 1906 in Franklin, Texas, and went to be with our Lord on March 25, 2000 in Conroe, Texas. She was a licensed vocational nurse.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Moore; parents, Levi and Vera Barnett; daughter, Virginia Noto; granddaughter, Rebecca Jewel Conkling; sister, Opal Moore; and brothers, Roy, Walter, Lynn and Clifton Barnett.

She is survived by daughters, Colenia Canfield, and her husband Frank, of Spring, Texas, Martha Rucker, and her husband Willon, of New Waverly, Texas; sons, Woodrow Moore, and his wife Helen, of Kingwood, Texas, and Frank Moore, and his wife Gladys, of Conroe, Texas; sister, Ruth Moore of Bryan, Texas; brother, Clifford Barnett, and his wife Opal, of Franklin, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; five step-children; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Russell Moore, Joe Corley, Thomas Conkling, Luke Conkling, Donald Rucker, David Rucker, Frank Moore Jr. and Keith Ward.

Services for Robert Lee Davis, 73, are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.
