Mary Laura Conley

Graveside services for Mary Laura Conley, 92, of Camp Creek are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at the College Station City Cemetery.
The Rev. Michael Sis of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in College Station will officiate.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Callaway-Jones Funeral Home.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Conley died Wednesday at St. Joseph Regional Health Care Center.
She was born in Laredo, Texas, taught elementary school for the Laredo ISD for 31 years, moved to College Station and was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Brazos Valley Senior Citizens Club. After moving to Camp Creek Lake she became a member of the Camp Creek Ladies Club, St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Franklin, and St. Francis of Assisi Women’s Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis D. Conley.
Survivors include a son, Francis D. Conley Jr. of Houston; three daughters, Marianne Fredericks of Camp Creek, Pat Cox of Bryan, and Theresa Carhart of Marlin; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Area Nelson

ROCKDALE — Services for Area Nelson, 93, of Rockdale are set for 11 a.m. Saturday in the New Hope Baptist Church in Rockdale.
Burial will be in New Oak Lawn Cemetery in Rockdale.
Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale is in charge of all the arrangements.
Mrs. Nelson died Monday at Capital City Nursing Home in Austin.
She was born in Tracy Community, Texas, was a maid and a member of New Hope Baptist Church of Rockdale.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Vernon Moore and her second husband, J.D. Nelson.
She is survived by a grandson, Thomas and Linda Moore of Ft. Worth; two great-grandchildren; and a great-great granddaughter.
Daisy Mae Stewart

Services for Daisy Mae Stewart, 79, of College Station are set for 2 p.m. Saturday at Dabney Hill Baptist Church in Snook.
The Rev. Lonzell Payton of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Old Bethlehem Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at Jones-Washington Mortuary.
Mrs. Stewart died Saturday at St. Joseph Regional Health Care Center.
She was born in Burleson County, worked at Home Health Care, and was a Jehovah’s Witness.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Stewart.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Johnnie and Maxine Thomas of Snook; two daughters and a son-in-law, Patricia and Melvin Wilson of College Station and Doris Nell Denson of Elsobrante, Calif.; a brother, James A. Atkinson Jr. of Snook; and nine grandchildren.

GIDDINGS — Services for Greg Schumann, 34, of College Station are set for 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Giddings.
Burial will be in Giddings Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Jamie Schumann of Lexington; children, Ethan Schumann and Jessica Schumann of Dime Box and Mallory Schumann of Lexington; his parents, Milton and Carol Dismukes of Dime Box; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Tim and Debbie Schumann of Austin, Mike and Lisa Schumann and Keith and Hiytti Schumann, all of Dime Box; grandmothers, Amanda Schumann of Giddings and Dorothy Dismukes of Dime Box; eight nieces and nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Maurine Cape

Graveside services for Maurine Cape, 88, of Lubbock are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at College Station Cemetery.
The Rev. David Rowland of First Baptist Church of College Station will officiate. Burial will be under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home of Lubbock.
Mrs. Cape died Thursday in Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.
She was born in Ballinger, Texas. She married George W. Cape on Feb. 19, 1932. She was a longtime resident of Corpus Christi before moving to College Station for seven years and later to Lubbock in 1995.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Cape.
Survivors include a son, George Cape Jr. of Georgetown; two daughters, Mary Ann Weaver of Lubbock and Judy Cowan of Lubbock; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Carrie Daniels Richardson

NAVASOTA — Services for Carrie Daniels Richardson, 87, of Navasota are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at Friendship Baptist Church in Navasota.

Visitation will be from 7:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday at Jones Funeral Home in Navasota.
Mrs. Richardson died Saturday at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan.
She was born in Stoneham and was a housewife.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Haire and Cora Richards of Texas City, Texas; three daughters and a son-in-law, Sammy Sr. and Mary Helen Jefferson of Navasota, Georgia Richardson of Navasota and Faye Etta Williams of Hitchcock, Texas; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Nichols died Thursday in Fairfield.
She was born in Flo, Texas, and lived in Centerville most of her life. She was Deputy Clerk and County Clerk in Leon County.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Nichols.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Cathy Nichols of Centerville and Bobby and Mary Nichols of Forney, Texas; a daughter and son-in-law, Ronnie and Carol Lacey of Fairfield, Texas; two sisters, Merle Wilson of Centerville and Jimmie Chandler of Waco; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Otto died Thursday morning at her home.
She was born in Crockett, Texas, and lived in Brazos County for four years. She was a clerk at Blinn College in Bryan.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Otto; a son and daughter-in-law, Colter and Katherine Wallace of San Antonio; a daughter, Lisa Wallace of Austin; a step-daughter, Tanna Otto of Dallas; two brothers, Wendel Warner of Grapeland, Texas, and Bill Warner of Alto, Texas; a sister, Helen Schrenkel of Tulsa, Okla.; and one grandchild.

Services for Novelette N. Burleson, 89, of Bryan are set for 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Ruby’s Chapel at Jones-Washington Mortuary in Bryan.
The Rev. Terry Smith will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday at the mortuary.
Mrs. Burleson died Wednesday at St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
She was born in Brazos County, where she lived most of her life. She was a beautician.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cornelius Burleson.
Survivors include seven nieces, Sylvia Green, Regina Nash, Gloria Houston, Emma Foley, Vanetta Neblett, Shelia Jones and Sharon Jones, all of Bryan.
