ROCKDALE — Services for Joe Rolando Rubio Sr., 44, of Rockdale are set for 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Rockdale.

The Rev. Robert Herald of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.

A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Rubio died Thursday in Richards Memorial Hospital in Rockdale.

He was born in Alice, Texas, and had lived in Rockdale for 27 years. He was self-employed with J.R.’s Concrete Work.

Survivors include his wife, Pauline Rubio of Rockdale; a son and daughter-in-law, Joe Rolando Jr. and Martha Rubio of Rockdale; two step-sons and a daughter-in-law, Albert Rocha III and Ricky and Mary Rocha, all of Elgin, Texas; a daughter, Salina Marie Rubio of Rockdale; two step-daughters and a son-in-law, Jennifer Rocha and Ruben Arrieta of Rockdale and Deyanita Rocha of Elgin; his father and step-mother, Ignacio and Leonor Rubio of Rockdale; five brothers and three sisters-in-law, Leo Rubio Sr., Reynaldo Sr. and Blanche Rubio, and Juan Sr. and Maggie Rubio, all of Rockdale, Lupe Rubio of California and Pat and Linda Rubio of Modesto, Calif.; four sisters and a brother-in-law, Tommie Woffenden Diamond of Dallas, Cruz and Russell Stewart of Rockdale, Manuela Trevino of Bryan and Mary Ramos of Round Rock, Texas; three grandchildren; and five step-grandchildren.

Kenneth Douglas Stewart
Nov. 8, 1942 — April 29, 2000

DALLAS — Memorial services for Kenneth Douglas Stewart, 57, of Dallas are set for 1:30 p.m. May 28 at Fellowship Freewill Baptist Church in Bryan.

Arrangements are under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home in Dallas.

Mr. Stewart died April 29 in Dallas.

He was born in Grimes County and was a former resident of Bryan. He was a truck driver for K D Timmon Inc. He was a member of Fellowship Freewill Baptist Church and Lighthouse Outreach.

Survivors include a son, Martin Stewart of Fayetteville, N.C.; two daughters, Marci Stewart of Bryan and Kelly Stewart of Terre Haute, Ind.; four brothers, Jim Riley Stewart of Houston, Gafford Stewart of San Antonio, Noogie Stewart of Dallas and Daniel Stewart of Ohio; two sisters, Ruth Corley of Houston and Rosella Gibson of Orange, La.; his mother, Mina Stewart Montoya of Caldwell; four grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

James Melvin Henzler
Feb. 8, 1947 — May 17, 2000

Services for James Melvin Henzler, 53, of Houston are set for 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bryan.

The Rev. John McCaffrey of St. Joseph Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be in Wheelock Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.

A rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. Henzler died Wednesday at his home.

He was born in Slaton, Texas, and was a truck driver. He formerly was a resident of Bryan.

Survivors include a daughter, Kristin Henzler of Bellville, Texas; his wife, Ann Slauter Henzler of Houston; his mother, Mildred Henzler of Bryan; and a sister, Carolyn Henzler of New York City.

Edna Pauline Taube Behringer
May 24, 1918 — May 20, 2000

Graveside services for Edna Pauline Taube Behringer, 81, of College Station were held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Waco Memorial Park Cemetery in Waco.

Arrangements were under the direction of Hillier Funeral Home in Bryan.

Mrs. Behringer died Saturday in St. Joseph Regional Health Center.

She was a registered nurse and was retired from the Waco Department of Health. She was a graduate of King’s Daughter Nursing School.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Behringer Sr.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ernest and Sharon Behringer of Terrell, Texas; a daughter, Taffie Behringer of College Station; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Arnold and Buelah Taube of Fort Worth and Joe Bill and Sue Taube of Waco; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the American Foundation for the Blind at (800) AFB-LIND.

Fay Hartman
Nov. 24, 1933 — May 19, 2000

NAVASOTA — Memorial services for Fay Hartman, 66, of Caldwell are set for 1 p.m. Monday at Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota.

Mrs. Hartman died Friday in Caldwell.

She was born in Flat Lick, Ky., and was self-employed as a beautician. She was a Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred A. Hartman Jr.

Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Calvin and Billie Jean Messer of Navasota, Randall Messer of Austin and Maurice and Debbie Travis of Cedar Park, Texas; two step-sons and a daughter-in-law, Russell Edward Hartman of Bryan and Mark Allen and JoAnn Hartman of New Braunfels, Texas; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, A.T. and Mary Patterson of Abilene, Ralph and Joan Patterson of Mt. Clements, Mich., and Wayne Patterson of Georgetown, Ky.; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Geraldine Dickard of Mt. Claire Shores, Mich., Josephine West of Russell Springs, Ky., and Betty and Ed Love of Pittsburg, Ky.; 17 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Brazos Valley.

Bertie E. Stallworth
Sept. 5, 1907 — May 20, 2000

HEARNE — Graveside services for Bertie E. Stallworth, 92, of Bryan are set for 10 a.m. Monday at Restever Memorial Park in Bryan.

The Rev. Bill McGee of Northview Baptist Church in Bryan will officiate.

Arrangements are under the direction of Heartfield Funeral Home in Hearne.

Mrs. Stallworth died Saturday in St. Joseph Regional Health Center.

She was born in Inez, Texas, and had lived in Bryan for several years. She was a member of Northview Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil E. Stallworth.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Bill E. and Dorothy Stallworth of Burleson, Texas, and Robert C. and Dottie Stallworth of Bryan; a daughter and son-in-law, Wray and James E. Casey of Bryan; a brother and sister-in-law, Clarence and Mary Quine of Kingsland, Texas; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.

Charlie Adell Alexander
April 19, 1908 — May 20, 2000

Graveside services for Charlie Adell Alexander, 92, of College Station are set for 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Dale Cemetery in Dale, Texas.

The Rev. Gerald Nutt will officiate.

Local arrangements are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Chapel College Station.

Mr. Alexander died Saturday in Southwood Nursing Home.
He was born in Dale and had lived in College Station for 12 years. He was a member of Steep Hollow Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge No. 114 in Prairie Lea and Eastern Star No. 222 in Bryan. He was a retired oil field worker for Merchison & Closway.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret Ann Homan.

Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Marshall O. and Sue Rowe of Beaumont, Texas, and C.A. Alexander of Kyle, Texas; two daughters and a son-in-law, Rowena and Larry Reed of College Station and Wanda Gilroy of Wimberly, Texas; a son-in-law, Calvin Homan of Lockhart, Texas; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Signolia Johnson
Nov. 15, 1913 — May 17, 2000

DALLAS — Services for Signolia Johnson, 86, of Dallas are set for 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Golden Gate St. Mary’s Chapel in Dallas.

The Revs. Emmit Austin Jr. of Dallas and Larry Littlejohn will officiate. Burial will be Tuesday afternoon in the Walker Settlement Cemetery in Bryan.

Arrangements are under the direction of Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas.

Mrs. Johnson died Wednesday in Brentwood Nursing Home in Dallas.

She was born in Robertson County and had lived in Dallas for many years. She formerly lived in Bryan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, A.J. Johnson; and a daughter, Clara Mae Andrews.

Survivors include four godsons; a goddaughter; and numerous cousins.

Ronald Lee
Jan. 7, 1958 — May 19, 2000

NAVASOTA — Services for Ronald Lee, 42, of Navasota are set for 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Greater New Hope Baptist Church in Navasota.

The Rev. Jim Nelms of Greater New Hope Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Mason Cemetery in Anderson.

Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Monday at Jones Funeral Home in Navasota.

Mr. Lee died Friday in Fayette Memorial Hospital in La Grange, Texas.

He was born in Grimes County and was a lifelong resident of Navasota. He was a mechanic and was a member of Greater New Hope Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Karen Holiday Lee of Navasota; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Rev. L.C. Jr. and Christine Lee of Navasota, Raymond and Lind Lee of Courtney, Texas, and Adam and Beronica Lee of Houston; three sisters, Vernice Lee and Gloria Lee, both of Navasota, and Yolanda Lee of Brenham; and his mother, Vesta Mae Lee of Navasota.

Milton Walter Muzny
March 24, 1930 — May 20, 2000

Services for Milton Walter Muzny, 70, of Bryan are set for 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bryan.

The Rev. John McCaffrey of St. Joseph Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.

A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Muzny died Saturday in Bryton Inn Health Care.

He was born in Dime Box, Texas, and was a self-employed data processor who retired in 1996. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and he was a Catholic.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Muzny of Bryan; two sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Janie Muzny of Katy, Texas, and Tim and Joann Muzny of Bryan; two daughters and a son-in-law, Vicki and Roland Ruffino of Bryan and Tina Vanderwater of Houston; his mother, Julia Muzny of Bryan; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Brazos Valley.

Micki Zamora Parks
Dec. 19, 1972 — May 19, 2000

LUBBOCK — Services for Micki Zamora Parks, 27, of Arlington, Texas, are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Alliance Baptist Church in Lubbock.

The Rev. Sam Silva will officiate. Burial will be in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at RIX Funeral Directors in Lubbock.

Mrs. Parks died Friday in Arlington.

She was born in Lubbock and was an honors graduate of Lubbock High School. She recently received her degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington, where she was chosen as the outstanding senior in the Department of Engineering. While a student, she had been employed by Federal Express and later United Parcel Service and was beginning a career with Arthur Anderson and Company in Dallas. She was a member of Arlington Bible Church.

Survivors include her parents, Frank and Rose Zamora of Lubbock; a sister, Lori Zamora of Lubbock; a brother, Anthony Zamora of Lubbock; two nieces; and numerous other relatives.
