Annie Velma Ford
July 6, 1917 — May 29, 2000

Services for Annie Velma Ford, 82, of Bryan are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.
The Rev. David Murphy of Calvary Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Independence Cemetery near Bedias.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 8 a.m. to the time of the services Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Ford died Monday in St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
She was born in Bedias and had lived in Bryan for three years.

She was a homemaker and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Bryan. She was a Sunday school teacher for 25 years and was a former member of Alameda Baptist Church in Houston.

Survivors include her husband, Carl Ford of Bryan; two sisters, Minnie M. King of Iola and Marceline Killian of Bedias; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lillie Mae Love
Dec. 15, 1918 — May 27, 2000

Graveside services for Lillie Mae Love, 81, of Bryan are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bryan City Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hillier Funeral Home in Bryan.

Mrs. Love died Saturday in Bryan.

She was a lifelong resident of Bryan and was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Bryan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tot M. Love.
Survivors include two sisters-in-law, Eva Nedbalek and Louise Nedbalek, both of Bryan; three nephews; and a niece.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Brazos Valley, 205 East 29th Street, Bryan, Texas 77803-6906.

Evelin Esperanza Hernandez Rubio
Aug. 27, 1991 — May 27, 2000

NAVASOTA — Services for Evelin Esperanza Hernandez Rubio, 8, of Navasota are set for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Christ Our Light Catholic Church in Navasota.

The Rev. Paul Felix of Christ Our Light Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be in Poloroz Departamento la Union, El Salvador.

A vigil will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota.

Evelin died Saturday in Trinity Medical Center in Brenham.
She was born in Poloroz Departamento la Union, El Salvador, and was a third grader at John C. Webb Elementary School in Navasota. She was a member of Christ Our Light Catholic Church.

Survivors include her parents, Ignacio and Gloria Rubio Hernandez of Navasota; a sister, Gloria Yesenia Hernandez Rubio of Navasota; grandparents, Pedro Pascual Hernandez and Maria Mercedez Gevada and Refina Rubio, all of Poloroz, El Salvador.

Allister Lawrence Presnal
Allister Lawrence Presnal, 72, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2000.

Beloved Allister was a very extraordinary man. He was born in Tabor, Texas, the son of Will and Marjorie (Marquart) Presnal. He attended a small country school in Tabor until his high school years at Stephen F. Austin High School in Bryan.

He then attended Texas A&M University and graduated at the young age of 19. At that time he married his Aggie Sweetheart, Claudell Watson, and in 1946 was employed at Anderson Greenwood & Co. as an aeronautical engineer.

He retired in 1983 as Vice President and Director of Anderson Greenwood & Co. He was founder and owner of Presnal Engineering and principal owner and chairman of the board of San Antonio Thermo King. He was a member of the Professional Engineering Society and AIAA. Al was a member of the 12th Man organization, the Century Club and the Texas Aggie Corps of Cadets Association.

Most of all his loving kindness and positive Christian attitude will be missed. He was such a caring and giving man. He had no enemies. He had a passion for fishing and Texas Aggie football. All that knew him loved him and he will be forever in our hearts.

Surviving is his wife of 53 years, Claudell Presnal; daughter, Amy Presnal Morgan and husband Russell; son, Allister Lawrence Presnal Jr. and wife Cheryl; grandchildren, Gene and Maxwell Morgan, Lindsey and Ashley Presnal; brothers, James K. Presnal and wife Jean, Bill Presnal and wife Mickey, Henry L. Presnal and wife Lou, Danny Presnal and wife Donna; sister, Laurie Richards and husband Lee; sister-in-law, Haskell Pruett. Preceded in death by brother, Robert Presnal (Marguerite). Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2000 at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2000 in the Chapel of Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, with Rev. Jim Jackson and Rev. Carey B. Sayers officiating. Interment services to follow in Memorial Oaks Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the 12th Man Foundation at Texas A&M University, P.O. Drawer L-1, College Station, Texas 77844.

Virginia Sue Stanislaw
June 14, 1936 — May 27, 2000

ROCKDALE — Virginia Sue Stanislaw, 63, died Saturday in Providence Hospital in Waco, Texas.

Arrangements are under the direction of Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.

She was born in Milam County and was a police dispatcher.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold “Sonny” Stanislaw.

Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Donald Stanislaw of Victoria, Texas, and John and Nancy Stanislaw of Bryan; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Lorina Drews
Nov. 15, 1909 — May 29, 2000

BRENHAM — Services for Lorina Drews, 90, of Brenham are set for 10 a.m.Wednesday at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham.

The Rev. Virgil Pecht will officiate. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery of Zionsville.

Mrs. Drews died Monday at Trinity Care Center in Brenham.

She was born in Washington County, Texas, was a homemaker and a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Drews.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Raymond and Dee Drews of Brenham; one sister, Lillie Perkins of Brenham; one grandchild; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church.

Carolyn Diane Casey
July 28, 1978 — May 28, 2000

Services for Carolyn Diane Casey, 21, of College Station are set for 10 a.m. Thursday at Covenant Family Church in College Station.

The Rev. Danny Green will officiate. Burial will be in Waco Memorial Park in Waco.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Hillier Funeral Home in Bryan and Thursday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church.

Miss Casey died Sunday in College Station.

She was born in Lawton, Okla., and lived in College Station for eight years. She graduated from Timber Academy in College Station and was a daycare teacher at First Baptist Church in College Station.

Survivors include her parents, Larry and Anita Casey of College Station; one sister, Amanda Casey of College Station; two grandmothers, Nancy Britt of Tulsa, Okla., and Minnie Casey of Abernathy, Texas; and one great grandmother, Georgia Hazle of Colorado City, Texas.

Memorials may be made to the Casey family.

Terry Ramon Nichols
March 2, 1979 — May 27, 2000

EL PASO — Services for Terry Ramon Nichols, 21, of El Paso are set for 10 a.m. Thursday at Fort Bliss Post Chapel 1 in El Paso.

Chaplain Warren L. Haggray and the Rev. Gregory Arthur will officiate. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park in Norfolk, Va. A second funeral service is schedule for 1 p.m. Monday in Virginia and the Texas A&M University football team plans to have a private ceremony this week.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 2 to 9 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home-Northeast in El Paso.

Mr. Nichols died Saturday in El Paso in an automobile accident.

He was born in Norfolk. He played football for Irvin High School and Texas A&M University.

Survivors include his parents, Terry and Garland Nichols of El Paso; and his grandparents, Geraldine Butts, Mary M. Nichols and Albert Simon Jr.

Arrangements are under the direction of Sunset Funeral Home.

Bertha R. Smith
Nov. 12, 1922 — May 29, 2000

HEARNE — Services for Bertha R. Smith, 77, of Hearne are set for 10 a.m. Thursday at Memorial Funeral Home in Hearne.

The Rev. Larry Blackmon will officiate.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Smith died Monday in Houston.

She was born in Elliott, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, F. Odell Smith.

Survivors include two sons, Robert O. Smith of Westhoff, Texas, and Richard Smith of Missouri City, Texas; and one brother, Robert W. Richardson of Hearne.

James O. Vessels
May 4, 1914 — May 30, 2000

Services for James O. Vessels, 86, of Bryan are set for 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bryan.

The Rev. John McCaffrey will officiate. Entombment will be in Msgr. Gleissner Mausoleum in Bryan.

Visitation will be at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 8 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel.

Mr. Vessels died Tuesday at St. Joseph Regional Health Center.

He was born in Fancy Farm, Ky., and moved to Bryan 1969. He was a retired mail clerk for the Bryan school district. He worked for Lone Star Gas Co. for 25 years. He was an honorary member of the Knights of Columbus Council #1834 and a 20-year member of the St. Joseph Ushers Club at St. Joseph Church.

Survivors include his wife, Emily Vessels of Bryan; two sons, James E. Vessels of Blooming Grove, Texas, and John F. Vessels of Dallas; five daughters and three sons-in-law, Rita Ann and Mackey McCaghren of Mount Calm, Texas, Mary Jane and Jesse Linderman of Memphis, Texas, Caty Jean Vessels of Bryan, Rose Marie Vessels of Bryan and Caroline T. and Ben Mitchell of Tucson, Ariz.; one brother, John Robert Vessels of Fancy Farm; two sisters, Jenrose Vessels of Fancy Farm and Barbara Rose Vessels of Seattle, Wash.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the St. Joseph School Trust Fund or the St. Joseph Church Building Fund.

Jose Armando Hernandez
Nov. 17, 1995 — May 28, 2000

Services for Jose Armando Hernandez, 4, of Navasota are set for 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Christ Our Light Catholic Church in Navasota.

The Rev. Paul Felix will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Navasota.

Jose died Sunday at Lake Somerville.

He was born in Bryan. He was a member of Christ Our Light Catholic Church.

Survivors include his parents, Santos Isabel and Telma Gloria Hernandez of Navasota; one brother, Santos Manuel Hernandez of Navasota; one sister, Kilsia Noimi Hernandez of Navasota; and his grandparents, Pedro Pascual and Maria Mercedes Hernandez of El Salvador and Marcos and Leonidas Hernandez of El Salvador.

Thagard Keith ‘T.K.’ Kirkpatrick

July 15, 1900 — May 29, 2000

MARLIN — Services for Thagard Keith “T.K.” Kirkpatrick, 99, of Reagan, Texas, are set for 2 p.m. Thursday at Adams Funeral Home Chapel in Marlin, Texas.

Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Adams Funeral Home in Marlin.

Mr. Kirkpatrick died Monday in a Bremond nursing home.

He was born in Tomlinson Hill, Texas. He attended what was then called Texas A&M College and taught in Ozona, Texas. He operated a lumber yard in Ozona and was a farmer and rancher. He was a member of Reagan Methodist Church and served as Sunday School superintendent for 40 years. He was a member of the Reagan and Marlin school boards and of the Reagan Homecoming Association.

Survivors include one son, Donovan Kirkpatrick of College Station; one daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Tom Griffin of Houston; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Reagan United Methodist Church or the Reagan Homecoming Association.
