BRENHAM — Services for Edna M. Schelnick, 83, of Brenham are set for 10 a.m. Thursday at Grace Lutheran Church in Brenham.

The Rev. Matthew Jacobs will officiate. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Woodlawn Cemetery in Houston.

Arrangements are under the direction of Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham.

Mrs. Schelnick died Monday in Kruse Memorial Lutheran Village in Brenham.

She was born in Lincoln, Texas, and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. She was homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Ben G. Schelnick of Brenham; a brother and sister-in-law, David and Louise Proske of Houston; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Irene and Newton Starr of Houston and Adell and Roscoe Jones of Hot Springs, Ark.

Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church in Brenham.

Francis Siarski
July 3, 1907 — July 11, 2000

NAVASOTA — Services for Francis Siarski, 93, of Anderson are set for 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Anderson.

The Rev. Louis Sikorski of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery .

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota.

A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Siarski died Tuesday in Grimes St. Joseph Health Center.

She was born in Anderson and was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Felix Siarski.

Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Joe and Beverly Siarski of Houston and Raymond Siarski of Anderson; three daughters and sons-in-law, Regina and Floyd Glowski of Magnolia, Texas, Theresa and Al McCollum of Houston and Mary and William Berger of Bryan; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

B. Joe New
Jan. 17, 1928 — July 7, 2000

VICTORIA, Texas — Services for B. Joe New, 72, of Victoria were held Monday at the First Baptist Church in Victoria.

The Rev. James Shamburger officiated. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Victoria.

Arrangements were under the direction of Rosewood Funeral Home in Victoria.

Mr. New died Friday at his home.

He was born in Franklin and had lived in Victoria since 1959. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1953 and began his career with Conoco. He established the New Distributing Co. in Victoria and served as its president until his retirement in 1992. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Victoria and was a member of the Victoria Rotary Club.

Survivors include his wife, Minnette Petty New of Victoria; a son and daughter-in-law, Jon R. and Susan New of Victoria; a daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and John Bounds of Dallas; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack H. and Roger New of Houston, Jeff W. and Mildred New and Donald A. and Justine New, all of Victoria; three sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law, Janelle Maris and Edna New, both of Franklin, and Mary Jo and Jim Carleton of Houston; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Victoria, 301 N. Glass Street, Victoria, Texas 77901 or to the South Texas Children’s Home, P.O. Box 1210 Beeville, Texas 78104.

Keandra Rogers
July 8, 2000 — July 10, 2000

ANDERSON — Services for Keandra Rogers of Anderson are set for 11 a.m. Friday at Bethlehem Cemetery in Roans Prairie.

Visitation will be Thursday from noon to 6 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Navasota.

Survivors include her parents, Cory Rogers of College Station, and Tykena Jessie of Anderson; and grandparents Cora Rogers of College Station and Mary Love of Anderson.

Charles ‘John Ike’ Baldwin
Jan. 12, 1906 — June 28, 2000

ANDERSON — Services for Charles “John Ike” Baldwin, 94, of Anderson are set for 10 a.m. Thursday at David Chapel Cemetery in Shiro.

Visitation will be from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Thursday at Jones Funeral Home in Navasota.

He was born in Grimes County and was a farmer.

Survivors include a daughter, Carolina Bowman of San Angelo, and a son, Elliot Baldwin of Corsicana.

Walter Monroe Scott
Nov. 16, 1919 — July 11, 2000

CALDWELL — Services for Walter Monroe Scott, 80, of Caldwell, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Caldwell.

The Rev. Steve Stigler will officiate. Interment will be in Caldwell Masonic Cemetery.

Mr. Scott died Tuesday at Summit Hospital in Austin.

He was born in Navasota and was a retired leasing and royalty supervisor for Texas Eastern Transmission Company. He was an Army Air Corps Veteran of WWII, a life member of VFW Post 4458 of Caldwell and a member of First United Methodist Church of Caldwell.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Parkhill Scott of Caldwell; and several nieces and nephews.

The family requests no flowers; instead memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Caldwell Cemetery Association.

Kittie Faye Reagan
Feb. 7, 1915 — July 12, 2000

FRANKLIN — Services for Kittie Faye Reagan, 85, of Franklin will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church in Franklin.

The Rev. John Free will officiate. Interment will be in Franklin Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at McCauley Funeral Home in Franklin.

She was born in Kosse, Texas, was a graduate of Franklin High School and had been a resident of Franklin most of her life. She was employed as a sales clerk for Fair Dry Good Store in Franklin before retirement. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Sandra and Carl Davis of Bryan and Sue Reagan of Huntsville, Texas; six grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church, Box 365, Franklin 77856.

John Santana
Jan. 6, 1922 — July 16, 2000

Services for John Santana, 78, of Bryan are set for 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Bryan.

The Rev. Joseph Frazer of St. Francis Catholic Church in Franklin will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.

A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Santana died Sunday in St. Joseph Regional Health Center.

He was born in Brazos County and was a lifelong resident of Bryan. He was owner and operator of the Santana Grocery Store in Bryan and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 1834 and the American Legion Post No. 159. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Callie Santana of Bryan; a son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Charlotte Santana of LaConner, Wash.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lucy and Bobby Stevener of Pearland, Texas, and Donna and Berry Bauerschlag of Texarkana, Texas; a brother and sister-in-law, Barney and Louise Santana of Bryan; two sisters-in-law, Concetta Santana and Lucille Centana, both of Bryan; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Memorials may be made to the St. Anthony Catholic Church Building Fund or to the American Heart Association.

Serphine Jackson
April 6, 1933 — July 16, 2000

Services for Serphine Jackson, 67, of Bryan are set for 1 p.m. Thursday at St. James Baptist Church in Bryan.

The Rev. Brodrick Ross of St. James Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery in Calvert.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Jones-Washington Mortuary in Bryan.

A wake will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Jackson died Sunday in St. Joseph Regional Health Center.

She was born in Robertson County and was a lifelong resident of Bryan. She was a homemaker and was a member of St. James Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Lonnie C. Jackson, Jessie L. Allen and Bill Jackson, all of Houston; four daughters, Willie Jean Sparks and Ann Fuller, both of Bryan, Ada Boxley of Houston and Edna F. Shanks of Fort Worth; two brothers, Wilbert See of Atlanta and J.D. See of Fort Worth; five sisters, Annie Simpson, Lillie Allen, Florence See, Betty McGowen and Rosie Bessen Hinton, all of Houston; 21 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Joe Lebeck
March 13, 1913 — July 17, 2000

NAVASOTA — Graveside services for Joe Lebeck, 87, of Hempstead, Texas, are set for 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Oakland Cemetery in Roans Prairie.

The Rev. Ed Kucera of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Plantersville, Texas, will officiate.
A vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota.
Mr. Lebeck died Monday in the Hempstead Retirement Care Center.

He was born in Carlos and was a former resident of Pinehurst, Texas. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a plumber with the Harris Plumbing Company in Houston.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Della and Edward Mittelstedt of Pinehurst; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Louise M. Daulton
May 28, 1926 — July 20, 2000

ROCKDALE — Services for Louise M. Daulton, 74, of Austin are set for 2 p.m. Saturday at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Chapel in Rockdale.

The Rev. Calvin Springer of the Rockdale Full Gospel Church will officiate. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to the time of the services Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Daulton died Thursday in Seton Medical Center in Austin.

She was born in Marlin, Texas, and had lived in Austin for nine years. She was a waitress.
Survivors include two sons, Greg Daulton of Boise, Idaho, and Ron Daulton of Austin; four brothers, Bruno C. Greensage of Rockdale, Herman B. Greensage of Bremond, Raymond Greensage of Bryan and Daniel Greensage of Greenville, Texas; two sisters, Willie Mae Wilganowski of Marlin and Pauline Socher of Nobles, Okla.; and four grandchildren.

Tristan Carlos Hernandez
July 19, 2000 — July 19, 2000

NAVASOTA — Graveside services for Tristan Carlos Hernandez, infant, are set for 10 a.m. Saturday in the Babyland section of Oakland Cemetery in Navasota.

The Rev. Paul Felix of Christ Our Light Catholic Church will officiate.

Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota.

Tristan died Wednesday in The Woodlands, Texas.

Survivors include his parents, Juan C. Hernandez of Houston and Elizabeth Deloris Martinez of Huntsville, Texas; grandparents, Joseph Martinez Jr. of Navasota and Concepcion Moya Dueñas of Houston.
