Private family services for Margaret Louise Bradshaw Ginn, 78, of Bryan will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Ginn died Friday in Bryan.

She was born in Fort Worth and had lived in Bryan since 1990. She formerly was a long-time resident of Brenham. She was a retired employee of the Washington County Chamber of Commerce and was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Bryan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul D. Ginn, in 1975; her parents, Lillian and Carl Bradshaw of Fort Worth; and a grandson, Thomas Patrick Ginn, in 1994.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Thomas A. and Mary Anne Ginn of Bryan; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorothy and Harold Oldson of Burbank, Calif., and Joy and Jack Street of Fort Worth; and two granddaughters, Laura and Anne-Marie Ginn.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Andrews Episcopal Church Youth Group, 217 West 26th Street, Bryan, Texas. 77806.

James L. Dolan
July 4, 1937 — Oct. 16, 2000

Private family services for James L. Dolan, 63, of Bryan will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Callaway-Jones Funeral Home in Bryan.

Mr. Dolan died Monday in the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Temple, Texas.

He was born in Casey, Iowa, and had lived in Bryan for 10 years. He served for three years in the U.S. Army and was a heavy equipment operator prior to his retirement.

Survivors include his wife, Diane Dolan of Bryan; two sons, William Dolan of Austin and Martin L. Dolan of Hawaii; a step-son and daughter-in-law, James and Ann Hill of Depew, N.Y.; a daughter, Cathleen Cox of Hawaii; two step-daughters, Dianna Allen and Elizabeth Hill, both of Bryan; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Keith and Shirley Dolan and Eugene Dolan, all of Bentonville, Ark.; and ten grandchildren.

Hal Gallow
March 21, 1936 — Oct. 19, 2000

Services for Hal Gallow, 64, of Beeville, Texas, are set for 2 p.m. Saturday at Galloway & Sons Chapel.

Chaplain Michael Mantooth will officiate. Burial will be in the Mineral Cemetery in Mineral, Texas.

Mr. Gallow died Thursday in the Audie Murphy V.A. Hospital in San Antonio.
He was born in Van Etten, N.Y., and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict and the Vietname War. He was a business development vice-president for the Masterplan Company.

Survivors include his wife, Pat Gallow of Beeville; a son, Mike Gallow of Richmond, Va.; three daughters, Kim Gallow Slaughter of Southerland, Va., Laura Gallow of College Station and Ginny Gallow of Huntsville, Texas; two brothers, Robert Gallow of Redwood City, Calif., and Bill Gallow of Van Etten, N.Y.; two sisters, Violet Simmons of Orville, Calif., and Esther Tilotson of Van Etten; eight grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

Margie Marie ‘Buck’ Green
March 18, 1937 — Oct. 13, 2000

DALLAS — Services for Margie Marie “Buck” Green, 63, of Dallas are set for 1 p.m. Saturday at the New Zion Baptist Church in Bryan.

The Rev. W.C. Davis of the Munger Avenue Baptist Church in Dallas will officiate. Burial will be in the New Bethlehem Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Angelic Funeral Home in Dallas and local arrangements are under the direction of Jones-Washington Mortuary in Bryan.
Mrs. Green died Oct. 13 in Dallas.

She was born in Brazos County and was retired from the U.S. Postal Service. She was a member of Munger Street Baptist Church, where she was in the usher department.
Survivors include a daughter, Jackie Fletcher of Dallas; a brother, Larry Green of Dallas; a sister, Emma L. Young of Bryan; a grandchild; and a great-grandchild.

Henry Kubicek
Nov. 24, 1922 — Oct. 20, 2000

ROCKDALE — Services for Henry Kubicek, 77, of Rockdale are set for 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Taylor, Texas.

The Rev. Lonnie Urban of St. Mary’s Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery .

Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mr. Kubicek died Friday in the Scott & White Hospital in Temple.

He was born near Taylor and had lived in Rockdale for 10 years. He formerly lived in Johnson City and San Antonio. He was a self-employed contractor and cabinetmaker. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rockdale and the Rockdale VFW Lodge No. 6525.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Heneretta Kubicek.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret Kirchenwitz Kubicek of Rockdale; three sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Mary Kubicek of Houston, Kevin and Tamela Kubicek of Katy, Texas, and Blaine and Denise Kubicek of San Antonio; a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Alton French of Oklahoma City; a sister, Olga Hejl of Taylor; 10 grandchildren; a step-grandchild; and four great-grandchildren.

George C. Muntean
March 16, 1932 — Oct. 19, 2000

Graveside services for George C. Muntean, 68, of Waco are set for 11:30 a.m. Monday at the Houston National Cemetery in Houston.

Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Callaway-Jones Funeral Home in Bryan.
Mr. Muntean died Thursday in the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Temple.
He was born in Niles, Ohio, and served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the American Legion in Waco.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Debbie Muntean of Iola; a brother, Alex Muntean of Brevard, N.C.; a sister and brother-in-law, Maryann and Nick Limongi of Niles, Ohio; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Winifred Allen ‘Nick’ Nichols
March 23, 1919 — Oct. 18, 2000

HEARNE — Services for Winifred Allen “Nick” Nichols, 81, of Hearne are set for 2 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Funeral Home in Hearne.

Dana Altimore will officiate. Burial will be in Norwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. Nichols died Wednesday in the Veterans Administration Hospital in Temple.
He was born in Willis, Texas, and served in the U.S. Navy as a Chief Petty Officer and Destroyer Fireman from 1938 to 1945.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Nichols.

Survivors include his wife, Leda Pearl Nichols of Hearne; a daughter, Carol Adell Byrnes of LaHoya, Calif.; a son, Wayne Allen Nichols of San Diego, Calif.; a brother, James Edward Nichols of Rosanky, Texas; two sisters, Dorothy Fridell of Hearne and Betty Altimore of Temple; three step-children, Mary Ann Hughes of Houston, Robert Monroe of Hillsboro, Texas, and Billy Monroe of Hearne; a grandchild; a great-grandchild; and numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

Margie McKay Seale
April 14, 1933 — Oct. 18, 2000

NAVASOTA — Services for Margie McKay Seale, 67, of Bedias are set for 10 a.m. Monday at Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota.

The Revs. Reagan Cooksey of North Side Baptist Church and Rick Seale will officiate.

Burial will be at 4 p.m. Monday at Rest Haven Cemetery in Belton, Texas.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Seale died Wednesday in Bedias.

She was born in Bell County, Texas, and was a farmer and rancher. She was a member of the Iola Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star No. 458, where she was past worthy matron, three-time past deputy worthy matron and Daughter of the Nile Shriner. She was a Baptist.

She was preceded in death by a son, Charlie Drake.

Survivors include her husband, Holeman Seale of Bedias; six sons and five daughters-in-law, Sammy and Nita Davis of Belton, Norris Drake and Kenneth and Monica Drake, all of Lott, Texas, Carlos and Karen Brown of Katy, Texas, Rick and Jeanine Seale of San Marcos, Texas, and Joe and LaNean Seale of Corpus Christi; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Bubba Oliver of Huntsville, Texas; a brother and sister-in-law, Clyde and Rachel Davis Jr. of Belton; a sister and brother-in-law, Ruth Mae and Jack Ingram of Flat, Texas; 23 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.

Birdie Mae Smith
April 16, 1915 — Oct. 17, 2000

Services for Birdie Mae Smith, 85, of Bryan are set for 1 p.m. Sunday in Ruby’s Chapel of Jones-Washington Mortuary in Bryan.

The Rev. Bennie Mosley will officiate. Burial will be in the Booneville Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Smith died Tuesday in St. Joseph Regional Health Center.

She was born in Brazos County and was retired. She was a Baptist.

Survivors include a son, J.D. Woods of Bryan; a brother, John Hedge of Bryan; a sister, Annie Nutall of Bryan; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Mary Ann Scanlin
Sept. 1, 1920 — Oct. 20, 2000

Services for Mary Ann Scanlin, 80, of Bryan are set for 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Bryan.

The Rev. John McCaffrey will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday, from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.

An Altar Society rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and an additional rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Scanlin died Friday in St. Joseph Regional Health Center.

She was born in Brazos County and was a lifelong resident of Bryan. She was co-owner and operator of the Long Star Grocery and the Coulter Drive Grocery. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, where she was past president and member of the Altar Society.

Survivors include her husband, Pete J. Scanlin Sr. of Bryan; two sons and a daughter-law, Pete Jr. and Frances Scanlin of Houston and Tommy Scanlin and fiancee Cindie Smith of Bryan; three daughters and sons-in-law, Jo and Bill Hall of Houston, Carolyn and David Harvell of College Station and Betty Jean and Jim Dooley of Bryan; three brothers, Anthony J. Saculla and Pete Saculla, both of Bryan, and Frank W. Saculla of Youngstown, Ohio; three sisters, Kathryn Hudson of Memphis, Tenn., Jackie Hyland of Kingwood, Texas, and Joanne Le Noir of Plano, Texas; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Texas Department of Health, Kidney Health Care, 1100 West 49th Street, Austin, Texas 78756.

Joyce Rae Davison
July 26, 1926 — Oct. 19, 2000

BRENHAM — Graveside services for Joyce Rae Davison, 74, of Chappell Hill are set for 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Masonic Cemetery in Chappell Hill.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday, with the family present from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Dulany Funeral Home in Eagle Lake, Texas.

Arrangements are under the direction of Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham.

Mrs. Davison died Thursday.

She was born in Lissie, Texas, and had lived in Chappell Hill since 1991. She taught Home Economics for 35 years in Garwood ISD and later at Rice Consolidated ISD in Alief, Texas. She was a former resident of Eagle Lake and Garwood, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, L.V. Davison.

Survivors include a son, Alan Davison of Alief; two daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela Davison and Benedykt Rozycki of Chappell Hill and D’Ann and Jerry Williams of Pflugerville, Texas; a sister, Jewel Womack of Pasadena, Texas; and five grandchildren.

Mary Louise Meyer
March 23, 1924 — Oct. 21, 2000

BRENHAM — Services for Mary Louise Meyer, 76, of Brenham are set for 2 p.m. Monday at Christ Lutheran Church in Brenham.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham.

Mrs. Meyer died Saturday in Kruse Memorial Lutheran Village in Brenham.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Meyer.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Ken Weiss of Brenham; and two grandchildren.
