DALLAS — Services for Oresta DeWayne Jackson, 30, of Dallas are set for 1 p.m. Thursday at Calvary Baptist Church in Corsicana. The Rev. C.M. Young will officiate. Burial will be in Steen Cemetery in Malakoff, Texas.

Arrangements are under the direction of Ross and Johnson Mortuary of Corsicana.
Mr. Jackson died Friday at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas.

He was born in Corsicana. He was a member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Dallas.
Survivors include his wife, Tonyia Jackson of Bryan; his children, Tristan, Twylesh, Oresta Jr. and Octavia; all of Bryan; his mother, Rena Mae Jackson of Corsicana; his mother-in-law, Lavern Idlebird of College Station; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Tommy W. “Hop” Watson
Jan. 18, 1925 - Nov. 5, 2000

MARQUEZ — Services for Tommy W. “Hop” Watson, 75, of Marquez are set for 1 p.m. Thursday at Marquez Methodist Church. The. Rev. Michael Hunter will officiate. Burial will be in Marquez Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Ricks Funeral Home in Jewett.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the family present.

Mr. Watson died Sunday in Tomball.

He was born in Marquez and attended Marquez High School. He served in the Army during World War II. He was a heavy equipment operator. Mr. Watson was a Methodist.

Survivors include his wife, Wilma Watson, of Pine Hurst, Texas; a stepdaughter, Karen Knecht of Sterling, Va.; a stepson, Dennis Dolch of Austin; a stepgrandson, Jason Dolch of Austin; and a sister, Marjorie McBride of Marquez.

Willie Joseph Hanus
Feb. 1, 1921 - Nov. 5, 2000

Services for Willie Joseph Hanus, 79, of Bryan are set for 11 a.m. Thursday at Hillier Funeral Home in Bryan. The Rev. Harral Dunnam of First United Methodist Church of Bryan will officiate. Burial will be in Smetana Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Hanus died Sunday at his home.

He was a lifetime resident of Brazos County and a farmer. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Bryan.

Survivors include his sisters and brother-in-law, Millie Wilson of Amarillo, Annette Sebesta of Snook, and Martha Jane and Charles Frank Regmund of Bryan.

Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Bryan (Men’s Bible Class or Building Fund).

Tammy Renee Langley
Jan. 16, 1964 - Nov. 6, 2000

HOUSTON — Services for Tammy Renee Langley, 36, of Houston are set for 1 p.m. Thursday at Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Bedias. The Rev. Kenneth W. Klemple of Northshore Baptist Church of Lyons will officiate. Burial will be at Concord Cemetery in Iola.

Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with family present from 6 to 8 p.m., and 9 a.m. to service time on Thursday.

Mrs. Langley died Monday in Iola.

She was born in Asmara, Ethiopia.

Survivors include her husband, Timothy Paul Langley of Houston; her son, Joshua Blake Langley of Houston; two daughters, Teah Langley of Houston and Kendra Langley of Somerville; her parents, James and Barbara Janel Langley of Anacoco, La., Kenneth and Diane Klemple of Somerville, Verna Abston of Kender, La.; her grandmothers, Sybil Hauptman of Iola and Dollie Klemple of El Campo; a sister and brother-in-law, Robbin and Roddy McDougald of Iola; a brother, Kenneth Wayne Klemple Jr. of Groton, Conn.; and one grandson.

James C. ‘Donk’ Williams
Nov. 27, 1929 - Nov. 7, 2000

NORTH ZULCH — Services for James C. (Donk) Williams, 70, of North Zulch are set for 2 p.m. Thursday at Cozart Funeral Chapel in Normangee. Brother Ross Newton of Flynn First Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be at Wealthy Cemetery in Leon County.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Williams died Tuesday at his home.

He was born in Cross, Texas. He was a truck driver for Automatic Gas Company. He served in the U.S. Army from 1951-1956. He was a member of the Cross Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Ann Williams, of North Zulch; his sister and brother-in-law, Elsie Marie and Joe Denmond of North Zulch; a special cousin, G.H. Gentry of Waxahachie and special friends Ryan Morgan on Grapevine and Tray Callaham of Houston.

Virgil P. Faltysek
July 5, 1936 - Nov. 7, 2000

NAVASOTA — Services for Virgil P. Faltysek, 64, of Navasota are set for 2 p.m. Thursday at Christ Our Light Catholic Church in Navasota. The Rev. Paul Felix will officiate. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery in Navasota.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota. A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Faltysek died Tuesday at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan.
He was born in Flatonia, Texas. He was a forklift operator for Trinity Industries. He was a member of Christ Our Light Catholic Church.

Survivors include his son, Virgil Faltysek Jr. of Navasota; three daughters and sons-in-law, Laura and Joe Cervantes of Navasota, Amie and Dale Nobles of Navasota, and Priscilla and Robbie Kilpatrick of Bryan; two brothers, David Faltysek and Daniel Faltysek, both of Houston; three sisters, Delores Agricola of Beeville, Sandra Faltysek of LaGrange and Gloria Arronge of San Antonio; six grandchildren and numerous other relatives.

Ora Crites Stephens
Jan. 11, 1936 - Nov. 7, 2000

HUXLEY — Services for Ora Crites Stephens, 64, of Huxley are set for 11 a.m. Thursday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. The Rev. Henry Stovall of Trinity Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Bryan City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. to service time Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Stephens died Tuesday at her home.

She was born in Bryan. She was a homemaker. She was a Baptist.

Survivors include her husband, Gene Stephens of Huxley; twin son and daughter, Brenda Zane Fish of Rock Springs, Texas, and Bobby Wayne Grange of Stephenville, Texas; two daughters, Barbara Boyd of Center and Bernice Holder of Huntsville; a son, Benny Granger of Sundown; a stepdaughter, Victoria Stephens of Houston; a stepson, Gene Stephens Jr. of Hearne; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Casey Lynn Garner
Nov. 14, 1979 - Nov. 5, 2000

A memorial service for Casey Lynn Garner, 20, of Bryan is set for 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in College Station. Marcos Ponce will officiate.

Local arrangements are under the direction of Jones-Washington Mortuary in Bryan.
Miss Garner died Sunday at College Station Medical Center.

She was born in Temple.

She graduated from Bryan High School in 1998 and was a member of the Bryan High Orchestra. She was an accounting clerk and attended college. Miss Garner was a Jehovah’s Witness.

Survivors include four sisters, Lacey and Tracey Garner, both of Bryan, Stacy Norwood of College Station and LaCheryl Wilson of Houston; her parents, Wayelan and Connie Garner of Bryan; her grandparents, John and Cecil Amerson of Corpus Christi, and Gene Garner of Bryan.

Melissa Michelle Martinez
Oct. 4, 1973 - Nov 6, 2000

FLYNN — Services for Melissa Michelle Martinez, 27, of Flynn, formerly of Hearne, are set for 10 a.m. Thursday at Flynn First Baptist Church in Flynn. Brother Ross Newton will officiate. Burial will be at 1 p.m. at Norwood Cemetery in Hearne, with the Rev. Bubba Alfred officiating the graveside service.

A rosary will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Heartfield Funeral Home in Hearne.
Mrs. Martinez died Monday in Flynn.

She was born in Hearne. She was a senior secretary for Texas A&M University. She was a member of Flynn Baptist Church in Flynn.

Survivors include her husband, Eric Ellison of Franklin; a son, Austin Hutchins of Flynn; a daughter, Anessa Martinez of Flynn; three brothers, Richard Martinez Jr. of Crosby, and Adam and Andrew Martinez, both of Franklin; a sister, Casey Martinez of Bryan; her parents, Richard and Lucia Martinez of Franklin and Deborah Byrd of Jewett; grandparents, Dora Martinez of Hearne, Marvin and Mary Byrd of Flynn, and Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Perez of Hearne.

David Autrey
Nov. 4, 1954 - Nov. 7, 2000

FRANKLIN — A memorial service for David Autrey, 46, of Franklin is set for 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Franklin. Jim Manning and Lee Caldwell will officiate. A private graveside service will be held for the family on Thursday.

Arrangements are under the direction of McCauley Funeral Home in Frankllin.

Mr. Autrey died Tuesday in Bryan.

He was born in Huntsville. He was a 1973 graduate of Franklin High School and a graduate of Sam Houston State University. He was a salesman. Mr. Autrey was a lifelong resident of Robertson County and was a Baptist.

Survivors include his daughter, Mandi Autrey of Franklin; two sons, Cody and Sonny Autrey, both of Franklin; a sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Charlie Palermo of Round Rock; a brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Dena Autrey of Easterly; and several nieces and nephews.

Clarence Kerns
Dec. 29, 1933 - Nov. 8, 2000

AMARILLO — Services for Clarence Kerns, 66, of Amarillo are set for 10 a.m. Friday at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel in Amarillo. A graveside service will be at 4 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday with the family present at the funeral home.

Mr. Kerns died Wednesday.

He was born in Borger. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1956. He was a member of the Corps B Artillery Unit for which he served as commander during his senior year. He was involved with agriculture- related businesses all of his life, first as a county agent and a 4-H leader. He later went to work for Pioneer Hybrid where he worked for 27 years, retiring as area sales manager in 2000.

He was a member of Ag View, the Former Students Association of Texas A&M and San Jacinto Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Marlena Kerns of Amarillo; four children, Cindy Freeman of Waco, Carol Jost of Bryan, Steve Kerns of Quincy, Ill., and David Kerns of Yuma, Ariz.; and eight grandchildren.

Robert “Babo” Garcia
Oct. 25, 1957 - Nov. 5, 2000

CHICAGO — Services for Robert “Babo” Garcia, 43, of Chicago are set for 2 p.m. Friday at Callaway-Jones Chapel in Bryan. The Rev. Victor Robles of Santa Teresa Catholic Church in Bryan will officiate.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to service time Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Garcia died Sunday in Chicago. He had lived in Chicago for 22 years.

Survivors include his son, Robert Paul Garcia of Chicago; a brother and sister-in-law, Roy Big ‘C’ and Ines Garcia of Bryan; half-sisters and brothers-in-law, Laura Gonzales, Izabell and Ernest Duran, Beatrice and Pablo Alfaro, and Melissa Martinez; all of Bryan; his mother, Josie Martinez of Bryan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Delfina Ocon Torrez
April 7, 1937 - Nov. 8, 2000

CALDWELL — Services for Delfina Ocon Torrez, 63, of Caldwell are set for 11 a.m. Friday at Peoples Mortuary Chapel in Bryan. Pastor Dolores Ocon of Templo La Hermosa will officiate. Burial will be in Bryan City Cemetery.

Mrs. Torrez died Wednesday in Austin.

She was born in New Baden. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Domingo Torrez of Caldwell; her brothers, Matias Ocon of Caldwell, Luis Ocon of College Station; Jessie, Margarito, Tiburcio, Marcos Ocon, all of Bryan; four sisters, Mary Triana of Bryan, Irene Ocon of College Station, Cipriana Rueda of Bryan, and Claudia Fuentes of Temple.

Jessica Lynne Brogger
Aug. 21, 1979 - Nov. 5, 2000

CAMERON — Services for Jessica Lynne Brogger, 21, of Cameron are set for 10 a.m. Saturday at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Minerva. The Rev. Curt Pedder and Rev. Bobby Jones will officiate. Burial will be at Mount Zion Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Cameron.
Ms. Brogger died Sunday in Washington.

She was born in Cameron and graduated from C.H. Yoe High School in 1997. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and was employed at Bob’s Steakhouse.

Survivors include her parents, Bob and Collie Terry of Cameron, Otto (Buddy) Brogger, Jr. of Rockdale; grandparents, Wallace and Ruth Shelander of Rockdale, Otto Brogger, Sr. of Rockdale, Alice Terry of Cameron, Helen Vaughn of San Antonio; two brothers, James Brogger of Cameron and Kurt Terry of Cameron; two sisters, Adrienne and Shelby Terry, both of Cameron.

Memorials may be made to First National Bank in memory of Jessica Lynne Brogger.
