A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota.
Mrs. Grupa died Friday in Navasota.
She was born in Roans Prairie and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Stanislaus Alter Society and attended St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Clara Walkoviak of Anderson; a sister, Lucy Guathier of Winnie, Texas; a sister-in-law, Billie Borski of Fredericksburg, Texas; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Sylvia Viola Bishop

Services for Sylvia Viola Bishop, 73, of Navasota will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Kingdom Hall in Brazos County.
Tommy Holmes of Kingdom Hall will officiate.
Mrs. Bishop was born in Flynn and was a nurse’s aid. She lived in Navasota since 1986 and was a Jehovah’s Witnesses for 39 years. She was a member of Kingdom Hall.
Survivors include two sons, Raymond Bishop and Kenneth Smith, both of Houston; three daughters, Mildred Willingham of Millican and Deborah Ward and Carolyn Parker, both of Bryan; a sister, Mildred Lucille Thomas of Palestine; five half-brothers; a half-sister; 16 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Lillian “Sister” McDonald

Graveside services for Lillian “Sister” McDonald, 80, of Bryan will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Rest-ever Cemetery in Bryan.
Rev. David Green of Wesley United Methodist Church will officiate.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.
Mrs. McDonald was born in Humble, Texas, and was a homemaker. She lived in Bryan for 22 years. She was a member of New Bethelehem Baptist Church in Cut-N-Shoot, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold McDonald, who died on Dec. 8.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Derrell and Shirley McDonald of Athens, Texas and Ronnie and Phyllis McDonald of Cleveland, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Freddie Moody of Bryan; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Jane Outlaw of Cleveland and Melvin and Gladys Outlaw of Conroe; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Judy Darby of Mexia, Texas and Evangeline and Thomas Dees of Houston; and 10 grandchildren.

Mr. Sontag was born in Houston and was the director of services at Shult Homes.
Survivors include a daughter, Kirby Sontag of Edmond, Okla.; a sister and friend, Christy Sontag and Mark Steward of Anderson, Texas; parents, James and Phillis Sontag of Anderson; grandmother, Ruth Fuller of Roans Prairie, Texas; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and other relatives.
Maria Rueda

Services for Maria Rueda, 97, of Bryan are set for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.
Burial will be in the Bryan City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday. A prayer service will be 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Rueda died Saturday at St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
She was born in Mexico and was a member of the Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Refugio Rueda, and her sons Reynaldo Ureda and Cruz O’Bella.
Survivors include four sons, Joaquin Rueda of California, Daniel Rueda of Conroe, Texas, Toribio Rueda of Bryan and Zeke Rueda of Navasota; three daughters, Juana Alvarado, Maria Hernandez and Mary Ann Garcia, all of Bryan; and four sisters, Aurelia Vasquez of Seattle, Dominga DeLeon of Dallas, Matilde Garcia of Houston, and Paula Narro of Bryan.
Barney D. Wilson

Services for Barney D. Wilson, 79, of Cameron are set for 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Gause United Methodist Church in Gause.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Cameron.
Mr. Wilson died Saturday in a Cameron hospital.
He was born in Gause and was a member of the Gause United Methodist Church. He retired in 1978 from Raybestos Manhattan Inc.
Survivors include his wife, Mary L. Wilson of Cameron; a half-sister, Bertha Jolly of Bryan; two sister-in-laws, Lois Pryor of Cameron and Gladys Wilson of Katy, Texas; and numerous other family members and friends.
Walter A. Washburn

Mr. Washburn died Saturday at his home.
He was born in Mills County, Texas, and worked as a blacksmith for Reed Oil Tool. He had lived in Cuero, Texas, for the past six months.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Ellen B. Washburn and E. Mae Washburn; a son, Arnold Roland Washburn; and three sisters.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, David and Carol Washburn of Cuero; a son, Jimmie C. Washburn of New Orleans; a foster daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Clovis Blackstock of Houston; four stepsons and two daughter-in-laws, Billy E. Mosley and John W. Mrs. Stade died Saturday.
She was preceded in death by husbands Benjamin R “Ben” Stade and John Lewis Howard.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Nelma Louise and Charles Mooney of Rosenthal, Texas, and Judy and Sam Firquin of Hewitt, Texas; a daughter, Nadine Earhart of College Station; two sisters, Grace Lauderdale of Austin and Elfrieda Findley of Midland; seven grandchildren; and several great- and great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Palmer died Saturday at Richards Memorial Hospital in Rockdale.
She was born in Rockdale and worked as a manicurist at the St. Anthony Hotel’s Beauty Shop in San Antonio before retiring in 1959.
She is survived by her sister, Josie A. Palmer of Rockdale.

Mrs. Garcia died Saturday at St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
She was born in Bastrop County, Texas, and was a member of the Guadalupanas.
Survivors include her husband, Ysidro Garcia Sr.; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Richard Garcia, Isidro and Elia Garcia, Jr., Roy and Susie Garcia, all of Bryan; six daughters and three sons-in-law, Melva and Rod Mireles, Mary Helen and J.J. Arrangements are under the direction of Lindley-Robertson-Holt Funeral Home in Navasota.
Mr. Klapesky died Sunday in St. Joseph Hospital in Houston.
He was born in Anderson and was retired from Armco Steel in Houston. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus Council 4054 of Anderson and the Navasota VFW Post 4006.
Survivors include his wife, Genevieve P. Klapesky of Anderson; three sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Susan Klapesky of Tomball, Texas, Gregory and Sylvia Klapesky of Humble, Texas, and Larry and Paula Klapesky of Conroe, Texas; three daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Weldon Willig of The Woodlands, Texas, Mary and Joe Chastang of Walden, Texas, and Jeanette and Reese Doyal of Humble; a brother and sister-in-law, Edward Klapeski and Frances Campise of Houston; a sister and brother-in-law, Edna and Steve Nowak of Houston; 15 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Mamie Alberta Sohns Luckemeyer

BRENHAM — Services for Mamie Alberta Sohns Luckemeyer, 89, of Brenham are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham.
The Rev. Elliott Pancoast of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brenham will officiate. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery.
Mrs. Luckemeyer died Monday in Trinity Medical Center in Brenham.
She was born in Brenham and was a longtime member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Aid. She attended Blinn Junior College and was employed by Toubin Brothers for 26 years in the “ready-to-wear” department. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie “L.C.” Luckemeyer.
Survivors include two brothers and sisters-in-law, R.C. Sr. and Elizabeth Sohns of Houston and Billy and Lorene Sohns of Brenham; a sister-in-law, Heather Vitopil; three nieces; a nephew; and numerous cousins.
