Ida Mae Farrell
April 12, 1913 — Dec. 25, 2000

HEARNE — Services for Ida Mae Farrell, 87, of Hearne are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Heartfield Funeral Home in Hearne.

Charles Renfroe will officiate. Burial will be in Norwood Cemetery.

Ms. Farrell died Monday in the Franklin Nursing Home in Franklin.

She was born in Maysfield and lived in Hearne for several years. She was a homemaker and was a Methodist.

Survivors include three sisters, Mary Stanitzky of College Station, Tennie Holtsclaw and Jimmie Dotson, both of Hearne; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Louise Arrington McKinney
May 27, 1903 — Dec. 20, 2000

ABILENE — Services for Louise Arrington McKinney, 97, of Abilene took place Sunday at Hillcrest Church of Christ in Abilene.

Dr. John Stevens officiated. Burial was Tuesday in Sweeny, Texas.

Arrangements were under the direction of Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home in Abilene.

Mrs. McKinney died Wednesday in an Abilene hospital.

She was born in La Guardo, Tenn., and lived in Abilene since 1976. She formerly lived in Bryan and Temple, Texas. She was a homemaker and was a member of Hillcrest Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruno Durst McKinney.

Survivors include three sons, James Durst McKinney of Brentwood, Tenn., Jack McKinney of Searcy, Ark., and Bob McKinney of Tyler; a daughter, Betty Grey Hejl of Abilene; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Raphael ‘Chicken’ Reliford
Sept. 13, 1923 — Dec. 23, 2000

TEMPLE, Texas — Services for Raphael “Chicken” Reliford, 77, of Lyons are set for 11 a.m. Friday at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Lyons.

The Rev. Basel Lister of Mt. Zion Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Lyons Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to the time of the services Friday at the church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Branford/Dawson Funeral Home in Temple.

Mr. Reliford died Saturday in Temple.

He worked for the Petticoat Junction Restaurant in Brenham and the Nienist Restaurant in Somerville. He served in the U.S. Navy.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Porter Reliford.

Survivors include two sons, Raphael Reliford Jr. and Larry Reliford, both of Los Angeles; two stepsons, Kenneth Porter of Somerville and Keith Porter of Houston; two daughters, Claudette Hill and Lois Reliford, both of Los Angeles; three stepdaughters, Patricia Revis and Debbie Love, both of Houston, and Jocelyn Holmes of Grand Prairie, Texas; two brothers, John “C.D.” Reliford of Somerville and Willie Reliford of Los Angeles; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Faye L. Sanders
Dec. 7, 1913 — Dec. 25, 2000

JEWETT — Graveside services for Faye L. Sanders, 87, formerly of Jewett are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Sardis Cemetery in Jewett.

The Rev. Barron Harris will officiate.

Arrangements are under the direction of Ricks Funeral Home in Jewett.

Mrs. Sanders died Monday in Memorial Southwest Hospital in Houston.

She was born in Farrar, Texas, and was a homemaker. She was a Baptist.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Joe C. and Jeanie Sanders of Houston; three sisters-in-law, Opal Boswell of Bryan, Mildred Benner of Huntsville, Texas, and Anna Belle Sanders of Jewett; a brother-in-law, Walter Lee Ditto of Gause; a grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pauline Sollock
June 21, 1921 — Dec. 25, 2000

NAVASOTA — Services for Pauline Sollock, 79, of Pasadena, Texas, are set for 2 p.m. Thursday at Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota.

Burial will be in Zion Cemetery in Iola.

Mrs. Sollock died Monday at Point Rehabilitation Nursing Home in Webster, Texas.

She was born in Iola.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emory Sollock.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Barbara Sollock of Friendswood, Texas, and Dr. Ronald and Patricia Sollock of Bethesda, Md.; three brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law, D.J. “Jack” and Melba Sollock of Pasadena, Gene and Ruth Sollock and James E. Sollock, all of Iola; four grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.

Lydia Frances Supak
Aug. 5, 1908 — Dec. 25, 2000

CALDWELL — Services for Lydia Frances Supak, 92, of College Station are set for 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Dime Box.

The Rev. Msgr. Emilian Foltyn will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery .

A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Caldwell.

Mrs. Supak died Monday at Southwood Nursing Center in College Station.

She was born in Burleson County and was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Dime Box.

Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, L.D. Supak of College Station and Melvin and Sheila Supak of Houston; five daughters and three sons-in-law, Ella Vavricka and Wesley Rhodes of Houston, Laverne and Lee Piccolo of Bryan, Mary Jane Smith of Houston, Betty and Franklin Gold of College Station and Linda Conner of Deanville; 17 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Joe Trampota
June 20, 1908 — Dec. 24, 2000

CALDWELL — Services for Joe Trampota, 92, of Caldwell are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Caldwell.

The Revs. Al Newby and Del Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Chriesman Cemetery.

Mr. Trampota died Sunday at Bryton Inn Nursing Center in Bryan.

He was born in Rockdale and was a retired farmer and was a member of Caldwell Brethren Church.

Survivors include his wife, Ella Trampota of Caldwell; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jimmy A. and Sadako Trampota of Victoria, Texas, and Joe Trampota of Universal City, Texas; two daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Franklin Kristof of Caldwell and Martha and Blake Evans of Thornton; a sister, Lillian Haverkorn of Tomball; a sister-in-law, Lajla Trampota of Denmark; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Shannon Trae Alston
Feb. 19, 1971 — Dec. 26, 2000

ROCKDALE — Services for Shannon Trae Alston, 29, of Rockdale and formerly of College Station are set for 3 p.m. Friday at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.

Bro. Richard Foster of the Church of Christ and George Alston, uncle of the deceased, will officiate. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Upper Turtle Creek Cemetery near Kerrville, Texas.

Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m. to the time of the services Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Alston died Tuesday near Milano.

He was born in Bryan and had lived in Rockdale since June 2000. He received his bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University, his master’s degree from Tarleton State University and was working toward his Ph.D. at Texas A&M at the time of his death. He was an agronomic research manager with Monsanto.

Survivors include his wife, Tracy Sessom Alston of Rockdale; a daughter, Riley Jade Alston of Rockdale; his parents, Freddy G. and Leatrice F. Alston of Hutchinson, Kan.; his in-laws, Don and Carol Sessom of Millersview, Texas, and Jerri and Bill Ray of Kerrville; a sister and brother-in-law, Lori L. and Darin Slack of Oakley, Kan.; his grandparents, H.B. and Effie Alston of Temple, Texas; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Candie Sessom and Tully Welch of Del Rio, Texas; and two uncles.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Riley Alston College Fund, c/o Rockdale Federal Credit Union, 1525 W. Cameron, Rockdale, Texas 76567.

Dovie Mae Buth
Dec. 28, 1919 — Dec. 24, 2000

GATESVILLE, Texas — Services for Dovie Mae Buth, 80, of the Whitehall Community in Coryell County, Texas, are set for 10 a.m. Thursday at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel in Gatesville.

Burial will be in Turnersville Cemetery.

Mrs. Buth died Sunday in a Clifton, Texas, hospital.

She was born in Coryell City, Texas, and had lived in the Whitehall Community since 1939. She was a former employee of Don’s Grocery and the Gatesville Livestock Commission.

She was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Hugo Buth; two daughters, Janey Ruth Buth and Janet Fay Buth; and a son, Billy Fred Buth.

Survivors include a daughter, Wanda Buth of Snook; two sons, Eugene Buth of Wellborn and Jim Buth of Cave Creek, Texas; seven sisters, Ora Hollingsworth of Dawson, Texas, Hazel Hadley and Irona Alexander, both of Burleson, Texas, Juanita Ray of Cleburne, Texas, Lilly Mae Vaughn of Nevada, Joyce Razor of Lynndale, Texas, and Julia West of Gatesville; three brothers, Ned Eddings of San Angelo, Texas, Milton Eddings of California and Lester Eddings of Fort Worth; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the American Alzheimer’s Foundation.

Janie Kilpatrick Harris
Nov. 24, 1960 — Dec. 22, 2000

NAVASOTA — Services for Janie Kilpatrick Harris, 40, of Bryan are set for 11 a.m. Thursday at Truevine Baptist Church in Navasota.

The Rev. W.M. Gantt of Truevine Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to the time of the services Thursday at the church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Jones Funeral Home in Navasota.

Mrs. Harris died Friday.

She was born in Navasota and was a laborer. She was a member of Truevine Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Clement Kilpatrick of Bryan; four daughters, Talisha Burton and Salisha Kilpatrick, both of Crockett, Texas, Hillary Kilpatrick of Dayton, Texas, and Sheharri Zoil Kilpatrick of Bryan; a brother, Louis Jake Kilpatrick of Amarillo; a sister, Eloise Kilpatrick of Navasota; her mother and stepfather, Eloise and Herman Wilson of Navasota; her grandmother, Lula Lee Brown of Navasota; her great-grandmother, Tinna Webber of Navasota; and six grandchildren.

Charles Holt
May 25, 1993 — Dec. 24, 2000

ROCKDALE— Graveside services for Charles Holt, 7, of Rockdale are set for 2 p.m. Friday at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Rockdale.

Bros. Russell Briley and Leonard Driskell of the Murray Street Church of Christ will officiate.

Arrangements are under the direction of Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.

Charles died Sunday at his home.

He was a lifelong resident of Rockdale and was a second-grade student at Rockdale Elementary School.

Survivors include his mother, Kathy Holt of Rockdale; his grandmother, Suann Holt of Rockdale; two sisters, Samantha Holt and Elizabeth Holt, both of Rockdale; and an uncle.
