ROCKDALE — Graveside services for Sarah Morgan Holt, 6, of Rockdale are set for 2 p.m. Friday at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Rockdale.
Bros. Russell Briley and Leonard Driskell of the Murray Street Church of Christ will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.
Sarah died Sunday at her home.
She was a lifelong resident of Rockdale and was a first-grade student at Rockdale Elementary School.
Survivors include her mother, Kathy Holt of Rockdale; her grandmother, Suann Holt of Rockdale; two sisters, Samantha Holt and Elizabeth Holt, both of Rockdale; and an uncle.
Jack Lloyd Huebner
Jan. 3, 1925 — Dec. 23, 2000
BRENHAM — Services for Jack Lloyd Huebner, 75, of Houston are set for 11 a.m. Friday at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Houston.
Burial will be in Houston National Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 8 to 10 a.m. Thursday at Foehner Funeral Home in Burton and from 1 to 5 p.m. Thursday at Klein Funeral Home - Champion Forest in Houston.
A wake service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham.
Mr. Huebner died Saturday in Houston.
He was born in Burton and graduated from Texas A&M University in 1949. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and was a lifetime member of the VFW. He was also a member of the Houston Area Marauder Men and the B-26 Marauder Historical Society. He volunteered with the AARP as a tax aide. He was a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church, where he was involved in the Outreach ministry and the Keenagers.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Gibson Huebner; a son and daughter-in-law, Denis and Linda Huebner; two daughters and sons-in-law, Denise and Fred Green and Nancy and Clint Castle; and six grandchildren.
Marvin M. Kubena
Jan. 21, 1922 — Dec. 27, 2000
CALDWELL — Services for Marvin M. Kubena, 78, of Cooks Point are set for 10:30 a.m. Friday at Strickland Funeral Home Chapel in Caldwell.
The Rev. John R. Gantt Jr. of Hope Evangelical Free Church in College Station will officiate. Burial will be in the Cooks Point Brethren Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m. to the time of the services Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Kubena died Wednesday in St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan.
He was born in Burleson County and was a retired switchman for Southern Pacific Railroad. He was a member of the Cooks Point Brethren Church and served in the U.S. Army in Europe and South Africa during World War II.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lannette Kubena.
Survivors include his wife, Anita Vance Kubena of Cooks Point; a son, Christopher S. Kubena of Denver; two daughters and a son-in-law, Peggy A. Kubena of Houston and Cynthia L. and Dan Guerra of Kingwood, Texas; a brother, John L. Kubena of Caldwell; a sister, Margaret Smith of Caldwell; and two grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to a charity of choice.
Mary Lucille Lenwell

NORMANGEE — Private services for Mary Lucille Lenwell, 102, of Hilltop Lakes will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cozart Funeral Home in Normangee.
Mrs. Lenwell died Tuesday in Madisonville.
She was a member of Hilltop Lakes Chapel. Oct. 29, 1998, was named Mary Scott Lenwell day by Judge Cecil Neely in honor of her 100th birthday.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allie Lelland Lenwell.
Survivors include a daughter, Faye Lenwell Willis of Hilltop Lakes; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Ernest Payton

Services for Ernest Payton, 78, of Bryan are set for 11 a.m. Friday in Ruby’s Chapel of Jones-Washington Mortuary in Bryan.
The Rev. Perry Rooks will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Payton died Monday in Bryton Inn.
He was born in Kurten and had lived in Bryan for most of his life. He was retired and was a Baptist. He served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Nettie Mae Payton of Bryan; two stepsons, Garry Harris and Victor Harris, both of Bryan; a daughter, Ernestine Payton of Brenham; two stepdaughters, Katrina Parker of Bryan and Nina Green of Brenham; two sisters, Myrtle M. Burnside of Vallejo, Calif., and Erma Lee Lloyd of Seattle; and 12 grandchildren.
Donald Ray Pruitt Sr.

BREMOND — Services for Donald Ray Pruitt Sr., 74, of Bremond are set for 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bremond.
The Rev. Isidore Rozycki of St. Mary’s Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be in Nesbitt Cemetery in Robertson County.
Arrangements are under the direction of Peiskee Funeral Home in Bremond.
Mr. Pruitt died Tuesday at his home.
He was a lifelong resident of Bremond and was owner and operator of Central Garage Chrysler-Dodge in Bremond for 41 years until his retirement in 1988.
He served in the U.S. Army infantry during World War II and was stationed for a time in Japan.
He was preceded in death by two sons, David Pruitt and Dwayne Pruitt.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Slafko Pruitt of Bremond; a son and daughter-in-law, Donnie and Stella Pruitt of Bremond; three daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Tommy Barker of College Station, Dorie and Robert Closs and Dottie and Mark Czajkoski, all of Bremond; two daughters-in-law, Patti West and Sissy Pruitt, both of Bremond; a brother, E.K. “Bud” Pruitt of Bryan; a brother-in-law, Ron Slafko of Waco; a sister, Margaret Winborn of San Antonio; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services for Ana Maria Valles, 67, of Houston are set for 10 a.m. Friday at Oakgrove United Methodist Church in Bryan.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan and from 9 a.m. to the time of the services Friday at the church.
Mrs. Valles died Tuesday in Houston.
She was born in Mexico and was formerly of Bryan. She was a member of Oakgrove United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Luis Valles of Houston; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Arturo Valles of Columbia, Md., Daniel and Adel Valles of Bryan and Luis Valles of Houston; six daughters and three sons-in-law, Patricia and Ronnie Villareal of Katy, Texas, Anna Valles, Maricruz Valles and Maggie Valles, all of Houston, Juana and Troy Coonrad of Allen, Texas, and Martha and Jorge Arango of Panama; a brother, Antonio Flores of Mexico; four sisters, Amparo Vega, Lupe Raper, Maria Avila and Juana DeLa Cruz, all of Mexico; 11 grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Norman G. White

NORMANGEE — Memorial services for Norman G. White, 87, of Hilltop Lakes are set for 2 p.m. Friday at the Hilltop Lakes Chapel.
Dr. Bob Kristensen of Hilltop Lakes Chapel will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cozart Funeral Home in Normangee.
Dr. White died Monday at his home.
He was born in Davenport, Iowa, and lived in Hilltop Lakes for 22 years. He worked for Shell Chemical and was a member of the Hilltop Lakes Chapel.
He was also a member of the Rogers Prairie Lodge, was secretary-treasurer of the Hilltop Lions Club, was fire marshal and E.M.T.-treasurer of property owners.
He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa, a master’s degree in toxicology and a Ph.D. in pharmacology.
Survivors include his wife, Beulah White of Hilltop Lakes; a son, Glenn Orr White of Florida; two daughters and a son-in-law, Norma Jean and Robert Burlingame of Houston and Barbara Ann Sosnowski of Grapevine, Texas; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Luetta Cashaw

HOUSTON — Services for Luetta Cashaw, 79, of Houston are set for 10 a.m. Friday at the Bible Way of Holiness in Houston.
Elder Park of the Bible Way of Holiness will officiate. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Oakwood Cemetery in Bryan.
Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home in Houston.
Mrs. Cashaw died Sunday in St. Luke Hospital.
She was born in Benchley and was a licensed vocational nurse.
Survivors include five brothers, Charles Cashaw of Bryan, Rev. Jessie Cashaw, James Cashaw, Londell Cashaw and Lorenzo Cashaw, all of Houston; two sisters, Ikie Cooper of Bryan and Esterae Poulk of Stanford, Conn.; four sisters-in-law, Rosie Cashaw of Bryan, Sandra Cashaw, Helen J. Cashaw and Janie Cashaw, all of Houston; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Thelma Crites

Mrs. Crites died Sunday in Burleson/St. Joseph Manor in Caldwell.
She was a retired secretary for the Brownsville State Bank.
Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews.
Frankie A. Hall

Services for Frankie A. Hall, 88, of Bryan are set for 2 p.m. Saturday at the Callaway-Jones Chapel in Bryan.
The Rev. Bob Richers, associate pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Bryan, will officiate. Burial will be in College Station City Cemetery.
Viewing will be from noon to 8 p.m. Friday, with the family present from 5 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hall died Wednesday in St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
She was born in Angelina County, Texas, and lived in Bryan for 55 years. She attended the First United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Amiga Sunday school class.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W.X. Hall.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Bill Frank and Josephine Hall and Jim and Diane Hall, all of Houston; two sisters, Lola Dell Kluge of Houston and Louise White of Dallas; and three grandchildren.
