McALLEN, Texas — Services for Elizabeth Caroline Serviere Kappler, 89, of College Station are set for 10 a.m. Monday at Kreidler Memorial Chapel in McAllen.
The Rev. Duane Kirchner, pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church in McAllen, will officiate. Burial will be in Valley Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are under the direction of Kreidler Funeral Home in McAllen.
Local arrangements are under the direction of Callaway-Jones Funeral Home in Bryan.
Mrs. Kappler died Friday at home.
She was born in Payne, Okla., and lived in College Station since 1998. She formerly handled a dairy, row crop and citrus farming operation with her husband in McCook, Texas, and later north of McAllen before moving to College Station. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in McAllen, where she was a member of the Altar Guild and Quilting Circle.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eric A. Kappler.
Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, Howard and Ginny Kappler of Edinburgh, Texas, Steve and Janelle Kappler of Sun City-West, Ariz., Johnny and Lou Kappler and Kenneth and Elsie Kappler, all of Kerrville, Texas; six daughters and sons-in-law, Deanne and Dalton Moack of Ghana, West Africa, Karen and Fred Karle of McAllen, Nina and David Lambert of Issaquah, Wash., Betty and Randy Moerbe of College Station, Debbie and Mike Sadler of Corpus Christi and Dorothy and Greg Rupert of Houston; a brother, Ernest Serviere of McAllen; 29 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Willie Ray McKown

NAVASOTA — Services for Willie Ray McKown, 84, of Iola are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Iola Missionary Baptist Church in Iola.
The Rev. Scott Jones of the Iola Missionary Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Concord Cemetery in Bedias.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota.
Mr. McKown died Sunday in St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan.
He was born in Houston and was a dairyman. He served 15 years as a school board member for Iola and Montgomery school districts. He was a member of the Iola Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Billie Sue Williams.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys McKown of Iola; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Pam McKown of Idaho, W.D. “Buddy” McKown and Mike and Joan McKown, all of Iola; a daughter and two sons-in-law, Marilyn and Bill Larison of Nacogdoches, Texas, and Thomas G. Williams of Bryan; a sister, Doris Suber of Montgomery, Texas; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Wm. Harvey Henderson

MADISONVILLE — Services for Wm. Harvey Henderson, 79, of North Zulch are set for 4 p.m. Tuesday at Willowhole Chapel in North Zulch.
The Rev. Vernon Powell will officiate. Burial will be in Willowhole Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the J.M . Day Funeral Home in Madisonville.
Mr. Henderson died Sunday in Madisonville.
He was born in Shiro and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Jeffries Henderson of North Zulch; a son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Karen Henderson of North Zulch; a sister, Daisy Neely of Houston; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jimmie and R.D. Rogers of North Zulch; a granddaughter; and a great-grandson.

Mrs. Pearson died Sunday in St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan.
She was born in West, Texas, and was a retired business owner. She was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Leslie Pearson and Buster Copeland.
Survivors include a son, Emmett D. Herrell Jr. of Hearne; two brothers, J.C. Kirkpatrick of Irving and Woodrow W. Kirkpatrick of Grand Prairie, Texas; two sisters, Ira Kaufman of Denton, Texas, and Kay Bobbe of Big Spring, Texas; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Reynolds died Saturday.
He was born in Nacogdoches, Texas, and was owner of the Serv-All Grocery in Bedias.
He formerly served 28 years as store manager of the Weingarten Supermarket of Houston.
Survivors include his wife, Theresa Reynolds of Bedias; a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Faye Reynolds of Shiro; a daughter and son-in-law, Terry and Randy Brumley of Conroe; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Clarence and Aleen Reynolds of Marble Falls, Texas, and Bobby and Mary Reynolds of Huntsville; a sister, Joy Baker of Houston; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ruby Ruth Rissinger Smith

BEDIAS — Services for Ruby Ruth Rissinger Smith, 79, of Bedias were at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Church of Christ in Iola.
Gene Darby officiated. Burial was in the Evergreen Keith Cemetery.

Mrs. Smith died Friday.
She was born in Bryan.

Corinne T. Werchan

BRENHAM — Services for Corinne T. Werchan, 85, of Brenham are set for 2 p.m. Monday at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brenham.
The Rev. Lawrence Bade will officiate. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Brenham Memorial Chapel in Brenham.
Mrs. Werchan died Saturday in Trinity Medical Center.
She was born in Burton and lived in Brenham for 59 years. She was retired from the retail sales business and worked for Faske’s Jewelry and Arp Jewelry for many years before retiring. She was a longtime member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Women of the ELCA. She was also a member of the James F. Dillon Post 7104 VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Werchan Jr.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Sandra Werchan of Navasota; a brother, Charlie Engelbrecht; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members.

Services for LeBon Agnello, 84, of College Station are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Bryan.

Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Agnello died Sunday in St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
He was born in Millican and lived in College Station since 1981. He was a farmer and rancher and was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Agnello of College Station; a son and daughter-in-law, Lebon Joseph and Jennifer Agnello of College Station; two daughters and a son-in-law, Dr. Mary Frances Agnello of San Antonio and Leona Ann and Chris Carter of Stafford, Texas; a brother, Joe Agnello Jr. of Stafford; and four grandchildren.
Peggy Ott Curl

Mrs. Curl died Sunday at her home.
She was born in Woodward, Okla., and lived in the McAllen/Mission area since 1971. She worked for the Amarillo National Bank and the San Juan Bank prior to moving to McAllen. She and her husband were the owners of the McAllen Refrigeration Company, where she served as office manager. She was a member of the San Juan United Methodist Church in San Juan, Texas.
Survivors include her husband, Dennis Curl of McAllen; a son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Becky Curl of McAllen; a daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Alan Hanson of College Station; a brother, Jim Ott of Florida; a brother-in-law, Harold Curl of Fredericksburg, Texas; three sisters-in-law, Frances Bull of Mission, Ginny Anderson of Oak Ridge, Tenn., and Mary Alice Curl of Amarillo; four grandchildren; and two aunts.

Mrs. Enloe died Saturday in the Regent Care Center in The Woodlands.
She was born in Flynn and was retired as a teacher. She taught 27 years in Klein, Willis and Houston I.S.D. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and was a lifetime member of the PTA. She received an award for merit teaching and was a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, C.W. Streater and John Enloe.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Sandra Streater of Conroe; a step-son, Jon Ross Enloe of Houston; a step-daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Mig Howard of San Leon, Texas; a brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Dena Archer of Normangee; a sister, Eunice Newsom of Flynn; four grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
A.J. ‘Shorty’ Henson

ABILENE — Services for A.J. “Shorty” Henson, 83, of Bryan and formerly of Abilene are set for noon Tuesday at the Woodlawn Church of Christ in Abilene.
Buck Hood will officiate. Burial will be in the Henson Ranch Cemetery south of Abilene.
Arrangements are under the direction of North’s Funeral Home in Abilene.
Mr. Henson died Saturday in Bryan.
He was born in Electra, Texas, and moved to Abilene in 1942 where he operated the A.J. “Shorty” Henson Construction Company for over 50 years. He was a member of the Woodlawn Church of Christ in Abilene and the A&M Church of Christ in College Station.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Henson of Bryan; a son and daughter-in-law, Mary Jane Henson of Houston; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sue Henson and Phil Savage of Dallas and Ginger Henson and Tony Rogers of College Station; two brothers, Mack Henson of Grandbury, Texas, and Melvin Henson of Abilene; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
