NAVASOTA — Graveside services for Don Eulalia Holt Carnahan, 94, of Navasota are set for 1 p.m. Saturday at Hollywood Cemetery in Houston. Robert L. Holt will preside.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at Lindley-Robertson-Holt Funeral Home in Navasota.

Mrs. Carnahan died Tuesday at St. Joseph Regional Health Center.

She was born in Houston. She was a housewife.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Carnahan.

Survivors include her brother, Casper Bell Holt of Del Valle, and a sister-in-law, Estelle Holt of Houston.

Clara Julia Sommer Lemm
May 23, 1919 — Jan. 25, 2001

BRENHAM — Services for Clara Julia Sommer Lemm, 81, of Brenham are set for 1 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Brenham. Charles Matejowsky will officiate. Burial will be in the Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham.

Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham.

Mrs. Lemm died Thursday at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan.

She was born in Brenham, graduated from Brenham High School and received a bachelor of science degree from Texas Woman’s University in Denton. She did graduate work in supervision at the University of Texas in Austin and received a master of education degree in counseling from Texas A&M University.

She had numerous roles and responsibilities in the Maifest and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1989. She was a member of the Duplicate Bridge Club and First Baptist Church in Brenham. She retired from Brenham Independent School District after teaching 45 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul J. Lemm Jr.

Survivors include her daughter, Ann Lemm Haigh of Houston; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Henry England.

Liborio ‘Lee’ Munoz
July 23, 1921 — Jan. 23, 2001

SHARP COMMUNITY — Services for Liborio “Lee” Munoz, 79, of the Sharp community, near Rockdale are set for 10 a.m. Saturday at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale. Burial will be in the Sharp Cemetery. The Rev. Daniel Garcia of St. Vincent’s Catholic Church in Cedar Park will officiate.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home and a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.

Mr. Munoz died Tuesday in the Taylor Care Nursing Center in Taylor.

He was born in Sharp. He was a farmer and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Emily Munoz.

Survivors include his son, Norman Ortiz of Taylor; three daughters, JoAnn Long of Georgetown, Judie Adams of Taylor and Rosemary Coufal of Temple; a brother, Raymond Munoz of San Antonio; five sisters, Mary Ann Nieto of San Antonio, Harriet Ortega of Temple, Sarah Garcia of Cameron and Annie Rojas and Delores Varela, both of Houston; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Marie Love
Sept. 21, 1921 — Jan. 24, 2001

HEARNE — Services for Marie Love, 79, of Hearne are set for 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Emanuel Baptist Church. The Rev. C.M. Roach will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Hearne.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and 8 to 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at Daniel & Son Funeral Home in Bryan.

Mrs. Love died Wednesday at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan.

She was born in Waxahachie. She attended Blackshear Public School. She lived in Hearne most of her life. She was a homemaker and member of Old Elam Missionary Baptist Church in Hearne.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Spencer Love.

Survivors include six brothers, William Osborne of Houston, Theodus Osborne of Houston, James Osborne of Huntsville, Emmitt Osborne of Henderson, Curtis Osborne of Riverside, Calif., and Charles Osborne of Hearne; and two sisters, Gladys Brown and Helen Osborne, both of Hearne.

Catherine V. Wilganowski
Oct. 14, 1906 — Jan. 25, 2001

BREMOND — Services for Catherine V. Wilganowski, 94, of Bremond are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bremond. Father Celso Yu will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Bremond.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Bremond Funeral Home.

A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Wilganowski died Thursday at Bremond Nursing Center.

She was born in Bremond and was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church and St. Mary’s Rosary Society in Bremond. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Wilganowski.

Survivors include her three sons and four daughters-in-law, Antone and Patronella Wilganowski of Bryan, Helen Wilganowski of Bremond and Johnny and Ann Wilganowski and Bernard and Shirley Wilganowski, all of Houston; two daughters and a son-in-law, Sophie Budzisz of Bremond and Cecilia and Kie Sr. Wierzbicki of Fort Worth; one sister, Josie Warhol of Houston; 40 grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

David Roy Hines
Nov. 22, 1934 — Jan. 25, 2001

BURTON — Services for David Roy Hines, 66, of Burton are set for 3 p.m. Sunday at Brenham Church of Christ. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery in Burton.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the family home, 416 Colorado St. in Burton.

Mr. Hines died Thursday at his home.

He was born in Comanche County. He received his bachelor of science degree from the University of Texas and master’s degree from the U.S. Naval Post Graduate School. He served 20 years in the U.S. Marine Corps, including two tours in Vitenam. He was a physical plant director for Sam Houston State University in Huntsville and Blinn College. He served as an elder in the Brenham Church of Christ, president of Burton Heritage Society and treasurer for Brenham Rotary Club.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Hines of Burton; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Mark and Robin Hines of Robinson and Wade Hines of Austin; two daughters and a son-in-law, Jane and Wes Thornton of Cedar Hill and Nancy Hines of Houston; a sister, Joyce Haslam of Lancashire, England; two brothers, Edward Hines of Fort Worth and Robert Hines of Aurora, Colo.; and five grandchildren.

Tony ‘Chop’ Morales
Sept. 12, 1948 — Jan. 24, 2001

Services for Tony “Chop” Morales, 52, of Bryan are set for 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Bryan. The Rev. John McCaffrey of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be in Bryan City Cemetery.

Mr. Morales died Wednesday at his home.

He was born in Brady and had resided in Bryan since 1951. He was an employee of Sam’s Club and worked as an associate in its College Station store for many years.

Survivors include three sisters, Betty Duron, Josie Martinez and Pauline Gomez, all of Bryan; four brothers, Ross Rodriguez of Bryan, Albert Morales of College Station, Johnny Morales of Thorndale and Michael Morales of Dallas; and several nieces and nephews.

Frances Mildred Stoneham
Dec. 12, 1907 — Jan. 24, 2001

STONEHAM — Services for Frances Mildred Stoneham, 93, of Stoneham are set for 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Stoneham Methodist Church. The Rev. Roger Goldsmith will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood-Stoneham Cemetery in Stoneham. Arrangements are under the direction of Lindley-Robertson-Holt Funeral Home in Navasota.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and noon to service time Saturday at the church.

Miss Stoneham died Wednesday at her home.

She was a lifelong resident of Stoneham. She was a retired teacher and librarian at Travis Junior High School in Conroe. She received her master’s degree from Sam Houston State Teachers College. She was a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas and the Grimes County Retired Teachers Association, and was past president of the Montgomery County Chapter of the Retired Teachers Association. She played a major role in the development of the Montgomery County Library. She retired from the board in 1978 after 30 years of service.

She was a member of the Stoneham Methodist Church.

Survivors include her sisters-in-law, Jane Lou Stoneham of Navasota and Doris Stoneham Hallmark of Conroe; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Stoneham Methodist Church or the Montgomery County Library.

Ramon Calzada
Aug. 31, 1925 — Jan. 23, 2001

NAVASOTA — Private cremation rites for Ramon Calzada, 75, of Navasota will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota.

Mr. Calzada died Tuesday in College Station Medical Center.

He was born in El Paso and was a security guard. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Maria and Antonio Mironda of El Paso; and numerous other relatives.

Roy William Finke Sr.
Jan. 20, 1919 — Jan. 25, 2001

BRENHAM — Services for Roy William Finke Sr., 82, of Brenham are set for 2 p.m. Sunday at Grace Lutheran Church in Brenham.

The Revs. Matthew Jacobs and William Holzer will officiate. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham.

Mr. Finke died Thursday at his home.

He was born in the Live Oak community of Washington County and was a retired grocery store owner.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Hattie Finke.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Roy William Jr. and Vilette Finke of Burton; four daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Bill Jacobsen of Austin, Ruth and Vic Ritter of Roswell, Ga., Joan and Ronnie Hinze of Brenham and Vernell and Lee Niles of San Antonio; a sister, Alice Korthauer of Burton; and 14 grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church in Brenham or to a charity of choice.

Charles Herbert Gouldson
Nov. 23, 1904 — Jan. 26, 2001

BRENHAM — Services for Charles Herbert Gouldson, 96, of Brenham are set for 4 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham.

The Rev. Cecilia Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. Gouldson died Friday at his home.

He was born in Birkenhead, England, and was a retired printer and Realtor.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Mae Grabow Gouldson.

Survivors include Lois McGlauchlin; a son, Ronald Gouldson of The Woodlands; a daughter and son-in-law, Charolette and Arthur Loukas of Houston; a sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Wilfred Cove of Morrison, Colo.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Milbry Lucile Henry
July 16, 1907 — Jan. 25, 2001

NAVASOTA — Services for Milbry Lucile Henry, 93, of Navasota are set for 2 p.m. Sunday at Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Navasota.

The Rev. H. Smith of Friendship Baptist Church in Navasota will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 8 a.m. to the time of the services Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Henry died Thursday at Canterbury Villa Nursing Home.

She was born in Grimes County and was a lifelong resident of Navasota. She received a bachelor’s degree from Bishop College and was a retired teacher. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, the Christian Homeworkers and the Retired Teacher’s Association.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Booker T. Henry.

Survivors include a niece.
