Services for Beverly Mayworm, 50, of College Station are set for 8 a.m. Thursday at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Bryan.
The Rev. Dimitrij Colankin of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Caldwell will officiate. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Memory Land Memorial Park in Greenville.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Funeral Chapel College Station.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Ms. Mayworm died Sunday in St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
She was born in Abilene and lived in College Station for 15 years. She was a homemaker and was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.
Survivors include two sons, Matt Mayworm and Steven Mayworm, both of College Station; a brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Ranelle Parmer of Wichita Falls; a sister and brother-in-law, Laverne and Roy Hamor of Austin; and numerous other relatives.
Frank ‘Roy’ McCarty

CENTERVILLE — Services for Frank “Roy” McCarty, 72, of Centerville are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Walters Funeral Home Chapel in Centerville.
The Rev. Charlie Young of The River of Life Church in Leon County will officiate. Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery.
Mr. McCarty died Monday at his home.
He was born in Leon County and returned to Leon County in 1983. He formerly lived in San Augustine. He worked for the Centerville ISD for 15 years until his retirement and was a member of The River of Life Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ann McCarty of Centerville; two sons, Roy Wayne McCarty and Howard McCarty, both of San Augustine; two daughters, Glenda McCarty of Altus, Okla., and Linda Hamner of Longview; a brother, Josh McCarty of Centerville; a sister, Mae Wooley of Centerville; seven grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Olen Carrol Pope
May 14, 1938 — March 12, 2001
Graveside services for Olen Carrol Pope, 62, of North Zulch are set for 10 a.m. Thursday at the Steep Hollow Cemetery in Brazos County.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hillier Funeral Home in Bryan.
Mr. Pope died Monday at his home.
He was born in Madisonville and was a retired firefighter. He served in the National Guard and was a member of the Steep Hollow Baptist Church.
Survivors include two brothers and sisters-in-law, Billy and Mary Ann Pope and James and Peggy Pope, all of Bryan; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Pope of Bryan; a nephew and three nieces.
Hilbert ‘Zonnie’ Rosenbaum Jr.

BRENHAM — Services for Hilbert “Zonnie” Rosenbaum Jr., 54, of Brenham are set for 10 a.m. Thursday at Brenham Memorial Chapel in Brenham.
The Rev. John Siemsglusz will officiate. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Rosenbaum died Monday at his home.
He was born in Brenham and worked as an automotive mechanic for Washington County Road and Bridge Department.
Survivors include Amelia Beard of Brenham; a son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Melanie Rosenbaum of College Station; two daughters and a son-in-law, Amy and Carlos Hernandez of Bryan and Jaime Rosenbaum of Brenham; his ex-wife, Esther Rosenbaum of Brenham; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Wilbert Rosenbaum and Willie and Karen Rosenbaum, all of Brenham; a sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Franklin Schroeder of Bryan; a granddaughter; four aunts; and an uncle.

Julia Nell Aikman Small

FORT WORTH — Services for Julia Nell Aikman Small, 82, of Fort Worth are set for 1 p.m. Thursday at the Greenwood Garden Chapel in Fort Worth.
The Rev. Charles Wages will officiate. Burial will be in Laurel Land Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Small died Saturday in a College Station health care facility.
She was born in Mart and lived in College Station for eight years. She retired in 1981 after more than 30 years with Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth as the college bookstore manager. She served as president of the Fort Worth A&M Mothers’ Club and was a member of Grace Bible Church. She was also a member of Altrusa and was a charter member of the Reviewer’s Book Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Travis H. Small.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Travis H. Jr. and Pat Small of College Station and Daniel R. and Merle Small of Weatherford; a brother and sister-in-law, Albert E. Jr. and Shirley Aikman of Dallas; a sister and two brothers-in-law, Ann and John Chaplin of Springtown, Texas, and J.D. Keating of Jacksonville, Texas; seven grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Joe Thomas Surovik Jr.
June 19, 1916 — March 12, 2001
ROCKDALE — Services for Joe Thomas Surovik Jr., 84, of Rockdale are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Ocker Brethren Church in Zabcikville.
The Rev. Albert Michalik of the Ocker Brethren Church will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery .
Arrangements are under the direction of Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.
Mr. Surovik died Monday in Richards Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Barclay and lived in Rockdale for 24 years. He formerly lived in Holland for 23 years and also lived in Temple, where he was a painter for the Veteran’s Administration Hospital for 31 years. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of the Ocker Brethren Church.
He was preceded in death by a son, James Edward Surovik.
Survivors include his wife, Lydia Surovik of Rockdale; two sons, John William Surovik of Cameron and Joe Thomas Surovik III of Port LaVaca; three daughters, Gayle Gilliam of Angleton, Sharlyn Hicks of Decatur and Diana Norwood of Duncanville; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Ocker Brethren Church Building Fund.
Paul Lawrence Toliver
Nov. 23, 1932 — March 10, 2001
Services for Paul Lawrence Toliver, 68, of Bryan are set for 1 p.m. Friday at the New Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Bryan.
The Rev. Fred Ford of the New Zion Missionary Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in New Bethlehem Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Jones-Washington Mortuary in Bryan.
A wake service will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Toliver died Saturday in the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Temple.
He was a lifelong resident of Bryan and was a member of the New Zion Missionary Baptist Church. He served on the Deacon Board, was Sunday school superintendent and sang in the church choir. He served in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include two sons, George Anthony Toliver of Las Vegas, and John Paul Toliver of Bryan; four stepsons; a daughter, Valerie Lynn Toliver-Roy of Los Angeles; three stepdaughters; two brothers, Searcy Lamar Toliver of Bryan and the Rev. Daniel Obbie Toliver of Oakland, Calif.; a sister, Geraldine Toliver-Hester-Baccus of College Station; a granddaughter; six great-grandchildren; and 23 step-grandchildren.
Adolfo M. Rodriguez

Services for Adolfo M. Rodriguez, 66, of Bryan are set for 10 a.m. Friday at Santa Teresa Catholic Church in Bryan.
The Rev. Victor Robles of Santa Teresa Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Friday at Hillier Funeral Home in Bryan.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Rodriguez died Monday at his home.
He was born in Falfurrias, Texas, and was a Catholic. He was a retired farmer and oil field worker.
Survivors include his wife, Sara A. Rodriguez of Bryan; five sons, Steve Rodriguez, Robert Rodriguez, Adolfo Rodriguez III, Pete Rodriguez and Angel Rodriguez, all of Bryan; two daughters, Stella Montes of Denver City, Texas, and Christina Sarak of Bryan; a brother, Tony Rodriguez; three sisters, Emma Villa, Frances Lopez and Mary Lowie; 20 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
John Earl ‘Father’ Mack
June 29, 1920 — March 8, 2001
MARLIN, Texas — Services for John Earl “Father” Mack, 80, of Hearne are set for noon Saturday at Old Elam Missionary Baptist Church in Hearne.
The Rev. Walter Ward of Independent Missionary Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Greater Riverside Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Friday at Paul Funeral Home in Marlin and from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at the church.
Mr. Mack died Thursday in Falls Community Hospital in Marlin.
He was a lifelong resident of Hearne and was retired as a self-employed carpenter. He also worked for Citizens Ice Co. and Hearne Steel. He was a member of Independent Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a deacon, assistant superintendent of Sunday school and secretary of the Brotherhood. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a technician 5th grade of the 402nd Quartermaster Truck Company in Europe. He received numerous campaign medals and awards.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ella Mae Mack.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Raymond Earl and Maria Mack of Austin and Glenn Arthur Mack of Hearne; a daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn Bernice and Horace Edwards “Bud” Chappel of Hearne; a brother and sister-in-law, the Rev. O.W. and Vina Ella Mack of Hearne; a sister, Iris Elaine Hamilton of Houston; his mother-in-law, Myrtle Lee Thomas of Hearne; six sisters-in-law, Catherine Mack and Doris Faye Williams, both of Hearne, Jennie V. Thomas, Madeline Jackson and Erma Lee Richmond, all of Houston, and Zelma Payne of Dallas; three brothers-in-law, C.S.M. Elvis Thomas of Copperas Cove, Jimmie Dee Williams of Hearne and the Rev. Thomas Jefferson Kearney Sr.

Services for Thomas Jefferson Kearney Sr., 86, of Bryan are set for 11 a.m. Friday at the G.W. Tabernacle in Bryan.
The Rev. James Whiting of New Testament Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Ever Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at Jones-Washington Mortuary in Bryan.
Mr. Kearney died Saturday in Sherwood Health Care.
He was born in Brazos County and was a lifelong resident of Bryan. He was a heavy equipment operator at Texas A&M University and served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Social Tie No. 56 and New Testament Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a deacon, Sunday school teacher, sang in the men’s choir and was a devotional leader.
Survivors include his wife, Eleanor S. Kearney of Bryan; a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas J. Jr. and Judy Kearney of Omaha, Neb.; two daughters, Ruby Joyce Halliburton of Bryan and Evelyn Ruth Caldwell of Houston; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Spencer Ray Becker

NAVASOTA — Graveside services for Spencer Ray Becker, 3 months, of Douglasville, Ga., are set for 11 a.m. Friday at Oakland Cemetery in Navasota.
The Rev. Donald Kasper of Trinity Lutheran Church in Navasota will officiate.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota.
Spencer died Saturday in Douglasville General Hospital.
He was born in Cobb County, Ga.
Survivors include his parents, Jesse and Suzanne Becker of Douglasville; three brothers, Fisher Lane Becker of Douglasville, Landon Tyler Klawinsky and Eithan Rion Klawinsky, both of Navasota; grandparents, Anthony and Pam House of Douglasville, Mickey and Helen Ellis and Victor Becker, all of Navasota; great-grandparents, Edward and Barbara Ellis of Navasota; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.
