Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Broussard’s in Nederland with burial at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the mortuary.
A native of Groves, he lived in the Port Neches area most of his life and was a retired Texaco Inc. maintenance supervisor and U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Daisy Palmer of Port Neches; sons, Allen L. Palmer and Scott Palmer, both of Austin, and Monty Palmer of Port Neches; Eric C. Palmer of Port Neches; sister, Jackie Black of Beaumont; and seven grandchildren.

Romain "Sonny Boy" J. Patin, 74, of Port Arthur died April 6, 2001, at his residence.

A native and lifelong resident of Port Arthur, he was a retired Texaco operator and World War II U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Una Guillory Patin of Port Arthur; daughters, Sandy Reed and DeAnna Hudson, both of Hamshire, Theresa Edwards of Vidor, Michelle Williams of Katy and Marcella Whaley of Nederland; son, Rickey Patin of Port Neches; and 12 grandchildren.

Dorcena Poullard, 86, of Beaumont died April 5, 2001, at Memorial Hermann Baptist Beaumont Hospital.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church with burial at Live Oak Cemetery under the direction of Community Funeral Chapel on Irma Street. Visitation will begin at 8 a.m. Monday with a rosary at 10:30 a.m. at the church.
A native of Louisiana, she lived in Beaumont and was a retired homemaker.

Hernando Ramos, 57, of Vidor died April 7, 2001, in Beaumont.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Vidor with burial at Del Rose Cemetery in Vidor under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Vidor. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
A native of Cali, Venezuela, he lived in Vidor 30 years and was a retired Rand Oil Co. maintenance employee.
Survivors include sons, Hernando Ramos Jr. of Vidor and Carlos Ramos of Lumberton; daughter, Tammy Hester of Vidor; brothers, Albrao Ramos of Beaumont and Oscar Ramos of Venezuela; sisters, Marina Payan, Josefa Munoz and Lupe Jones, all of Beaumont, and Rosa Payan and Estrella Tellez, both of Venezuela; and three grandchildren.

Myrel F. Rogers, 78, of DeRidder, La., died April 5, 2001, at Beauregard Memorial Hospital.

A native of Gladewater, he lived in DeRidder and was a retired federal Civil Service mechanic and World War II veteran.
Survivors include his brother, Benny Rogers of Gladewater; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A native of Center and a former resident of Jasper, he lived in Rayburn Country six years, was a Phillips Petroleum seismographer and DMI employee in Rayburn Country and served in the Civil Air Patrol.
Survivors include his wife, Phillis Beasley of Sam Rayburn; stepson, Charles Warren of Lincoln Park, Mich.; stepdaughters, Yvonne Rhoads of Belleville, Mich., Mary Konarski and Tammy Kalicki, both of Allen Park, Mich., and Wendi Gossett of White Lake, Mich.; sisters, Ethel Wilson of Center, Evon Toomlin of Nederland and Jean Castro of Beaumont; 13 stepgrandchildren; and seven stepgreat-grandchildren.
