Creola M. Dunn

Creola M. Dunn, 88, of Vidor died April 8, 2001, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.

A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. today at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches under the direction of Broussard’s on McFaddin.

A native of Port Arthur, she lived in Vidor several years and was a telemarketer.

Survivors include her grandson, Preston Wagner; and one granddaughter.

John Melvin Foy III

John Melvin Foy III, 54, of Port Neches died April 8, 2001, at his residence.

A memorial service will be at 6 p.m. today at Central Baptist Church in Port Neches under the direction of Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. today at the church.

A native of Soso, Miss., he lived in Port Neches most of his life and was a retired salesman.

Survivors include his daughter, Laurie Martin of Port Neches; son, Taft Foy of Nederland; and grandchildren, Collin Foy and Drake Martin.

Robert Russell Geen

Robert Russell Geen, 85, of Beaumont died April 8, 2001, at Memorial Hermann Baptist Beaumont Hospital.

A graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

A lifelong resident of Beaumont, he was a retired Mobil Oil operator.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Geen of Vidor; son, Donald Geen of Duncanville; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Memorial Hermann Baptist Beaumont Hospital, The Respiratory Department, P.O. Box 1591, Beaumont, Texas 77704.

Louise Hall

Louise Hall, 82, of Beaumont died April 8, 2001, at Triumph Hospital of East Houston in Channelview.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Wesley United Methodist Church with burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

A native of Buna, she lived in Beaumont many years and was retired owner of West End Beauty Shop.

Survivors include her son, W.C. Hall Jr. of Houston.

Leslie Watts Hogan

Leslie Watts Hogan, 88, of Orange died April 7, 2001, at West Calcasieu-Cameron Hospital in Sulphur, La.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Memorial Funeral Home in Vidor with burial at Restlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

A native of Bunkie, La., he lived in Orange 59 years, was a retired Orange Country Drainage District equipment operator and was a U.S. Navy veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Claudine Hogan of Orange; son, James W. Hogan of Orange; daughter, Mary Ann Hogan of Livingston, Mont.; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Stella Avis Luke

Stella Avis Luke, 93, of Austin died April 8, 2001, at Heritage Village in Richardson.

A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. today at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont under the direction of Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Beaumont.

A native of Oklahoma and a former longtime resident of Beaumont, she lived in Austin several years and was a homemaker.

Survivors include her daughter, Gloria Hamilton of Austin; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Jackie McFatter

Jackie McFatter, 56, of DeRidder, La., died April 9, 2001, at L.S.U. Medical Center in Shreveport, La.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Sugartown Baptist Church in Sugartown, La., with burial at Sugartown Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder. Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. Wednesday to time of service at the church.

A native of Pittsburgh, Pa., she lived in DeRidder most of her life and was a secretary for South Beauregard Water System in Longville, La.

Survivors include her son, John McFatter Jr. of Cotile, La.; daughters, Melanie Richmond of DeRidder and Jennifer Buxton of Haughton, La.; brothers, Lloyd Deverts Jr. of Plain Dealing, La., and David Deverts of Haughton; sister, Judy Deverts of DeRidder; father, Lloyd "Duke’’ Deverts of Sugartown; and seven grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Unity Baptist Church Building Fund.

Ada E. McGehee

Ada E. McGehee, 90, of Beaumont died April 8, 2001, at Harvest Care Nursing Center in Lumberton.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Wesley United Methodist Church with burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of Broussard’s on McFaddin. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the mortuary.

A native of Coldwater, Kan., she lived in Welsh, La., many years before moving to Beaumont and was associated with North End Wheel Alignment.

Survivors include daughters, Jean McGehee LaSalle of Beaumont and Charlene M. Dugue of Lumberton; brothers, M.T. Coles Jr. and V.E. "Bunny’’ Coles, both of Welsh; sisters, Frankie Hargraves and Sara Lee Thorn, both of Houston, and Willie Mae Koskella of Lake Charles, La.; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Pamela A. Collins Reynolds

Pamela A. Collins Reynolds, 55, of Beaumont died April 9, 2001, at her residence.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Calvary Baptist Church with burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of Broussard’s on McFaddin. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the mortuary.

A native of Port Arthur, she lived in Groves before moving to Beaumont 27 years ago and was a secretary for Chevron Chemical in Orange.

Survivors include her husband, John F. "Pinky’’ Reynolds of Beaumont; daughters, Mandy Reynolds and Nichole Reynolds, both of Beaumont; mother, Doris Collins of Groves; brothers, Tom Collins of Livingston, Tim Collins of Kountze, Jim Collins of Port Neches, Mark Collins of Mont Belvieu and Joe Collins of Ohio; and sisters, Peggy Hebert of Bridge City, Theresa Franks and Mary McGuire, both of Port Neches, Michelle Flocke of Beaumont and Ronnie Davis of Sulphur, La.

Orbra Lee Schmuck

Orbra Lee Schmuck, 75, of Shepherd died April 6, 2001, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center in Cleveland.

Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday at United Penetcostal Church in Shepherd with burial at Farley Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland.

A native of Eagle Pass, he lived in Shepherd many years, was a retired pumper in the oilfield industry and was a U.S. Navy veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Bessie Schmuck of Shepherd; daughters, Elaine Ivy and Paulette Davis, both of Sweeny; sister, Marjorie Nitschske of Shepherd; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Billie Jeanne Smith

Billie Jeanne Smith, 54, of Hemphill died April 8, 2001, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Hemphill with burial at Fairmount Cemetery under the direction of Starr Funeral Home in Hemphill. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

A native and former resident of Port Arthur, she lived in Hemphill 22 years and was a secretary for First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her mother, Billie Smith of Hemphill; brother, James Roy Smith of Waco; and sister, Linda B. Scales of Magnolia.

Willie ‘Bo’ Strother

Willie "Bo’’ Strother, 66, of Beaumont died April 9, 2001, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Houston.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Elizabeth, La., with burial at West Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s on Major Drive. Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. today at the mortuary and from 10 a.m. Wednesday to time of service at the church.

A native of Oakdale, La., he lived in Beaumont 40 years and was a retired Jefferson County Precinct 1 superintendent.

Survivors include his daughter, Sarah Eastwood of Beaumont; brother, Harold Strother and Gordon Strother, both of Elizabeth; sisters, Helen Strother of Oakdale and Diana Brown of Elizabeth; and one grandson.

Kathryn Jeanette Walters

Kathryn Jeanette Walters, 83, of Baytown died April 7, 2001, at a Houston hospital.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Navarre Funeral Home in Baytown with a graveside service at 3 p.m. at Antioch Cemetery in Buna. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

A native of Buna, she lived in Baytown several years and was a homemaker.

Survivors include her son, Mike Walters of Baytown; daughter, Glenda Walters Brown of Houston; sister, Hermione James of Dallas; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Leola E. Williams

Leola E. Williams, 80, of Jasper died April 8, 2001, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Jasper with entombment at Garden of Memories Mausoleum under the direction of Forest Oaks Funeral Home in Jasper. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

A native of Newton County, she lived in Jasper 46 years.

Survivors include sons, Malcolm Williams of Houston, Jackie Williams and Joey Williams, both of Austin; daughters, Audrey Schwarz of Broaddus, Doris Goins Smith of Jasper and Susan Beddingfield of Houston; sisters, Doris Fruge of Westlake, La., Bonnie Morvant of Starks, La., Pearl Bright of Toledo Bend and Mary Jefferson of Port Neches; 19 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
