Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Broussard’s on Major Drive with a graveside service at 3 p.m. at Wells Cemetery in Cleveland. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the mortuary.
A native of Abilene and former resident of Cleveland for most of his life, he lived in Beaumont seven years and was a carpenter.
Survivors include his daughters, Annie Kornegay and Jean Wills, both of Beaumont; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Jim Bob Perkins, 87, of Woodville died July 1, 2001, at Woodville Convalescence in Woodville.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with burial at Beech Creek Cemetery in Spurger.
A native of Cotton Valley, La., he lived in Woodville 50 years and was an oiler in the petroleum industry.
Survivors include his sons, Wayne Perkins of Gilmer and William Perkins of Spurger; daughter, Ira Lee Jenson of Silsbee; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Vernice Prados, 86, of Orange died July 2, 2001, at Sunbridge Rehabilitation Center in Pinehurst.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Loreauville, La., with burial wat St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Loreauville under the direction of David Mortuary. Local arrangements handled by Dorman Funeral Home in Orange.
A native and longtime resident of Loreauville, she lived in Orange eight years and was a homemaker.
Survivors include her daughter, Frances Delcambre of Bridge City; granddaughters, Renee Newsom of Bridge City and Terri Delcambre of Orangefield; and great-grandchildren, Jeffrey Paul Gibbs of Orangefield and Bree Ali Newsom of Bridge City.

Naomi J. Mifflin Ripkowski, 75, of Dayton died July 1, 2001, at Texas Christian Care Center in Wichita Falls.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton with burial at Palms Memorial Park Cemetery in Dayton.
A native of Daisetta, she lived in Dayton most of her life and was a former Safeway produce manager, operated a Texaco Service Station and homemaker.
Survivors include her son, Ron Ripkowski of Wichita Falls; sisters, Lillie Flowers and Georgia Daniels, both of Dayton, and Frances Turner of Conroe; brothers, James Mifflin and Carlton Mifflin, both of Dayton; and two grandchildren.

Betty Ann Spiers, 62, of DeRidder, La., died July 1, 2001, at Beauregard Memorial Hospital in DeRidder.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in DeRidder with burial at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in DeRidder under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder. Visitation will be from 2 to 10 p.m. at the funeral home and from 9 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the church.
A native of Eureka, Calif., she lived in DeRidder eight years and was a Wal-Mart Center cashier.

A native of Gastonia, N.C., he lived in Silsbee for 30 years, was a retired electrical contractor and a World War II U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his son, Max Baldwin of Silsbee; daughters, Patsy Underwood of Jacksonville, Fla., and Beth Ward of Corpus Christi; sisters, Margaret White of Matthews, N.C, and Beatrice Stiers of Danville, Va.; and nine grandchildren.
