Nora Migues, 89, of Winnie died Sept. 5, 2000 at The Arboretum Nursing Home in Winnie.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Louis Catholic Church in Winnie with burial at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s Mortuary in Winnie. Visitation will begin at noon today with a rosary to be recited at 7:30 p.m. at the mortuary.
A native of Morse, La., she lived in Winnie most of her life and was a homemaker.
Survivors include sons, Elroy Henry and Hubert Henry, both of Winnie, and L.B. Henry of Baytown; daughter, Elreiana Fontenot of Winnie; brother, Ambrose Breaux of Winnie; sister, Josephine Menard of Winnie; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
ARTHUR ‘A.J.’ Jackson MITCHELL SR.
Arthur "A.J.’’ Jackson Mitchell Sr., 81, of Port Arthur died Sept. 4, 2000.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at New Light Baptist Church in Port Arthur with burial at Live Oak Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home in Port Arthur. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
A native of Franklin, La., he lived in Port Arthur 60 years and was a retired merchant marine.
Survivors include sons, Leroy McGee, A.J. Mitchell Jr. and Michael Mitchell, all of Port Arthur, Floyd Mitchell and Banor Mitchell, both of California, Greg Mitchell of Las Vegas and Leonard Mitchell of Fort Riley, Kan.; daughters, Susie Shedrick of Port Arthur, Melba Dorsey and Jewel Williams, both of California, and Myrt Tamplin of Henderson; brothers, George Mitchell, J.D. Mitchell and Robert Mitchell, all of California; sisters, Irma Mitchell and Rose Mitchell, both of California; 29 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Cecil Ralph Ogle, 84, of Port Neches died Sept. 5, 2000 at his residence.
A memorial service will be announced by Broussard’s Mortuary in Nederland at a later date.
A native of Ohio, he lived in Port Neches 37 years, was a retired Unocal senior accountant and was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Billie Ogle of Port Neches; sons, George C. Piazza of Houston and William J. Piazza of LaBelle; brother, Homer Ogle of Thornville, Ohio; sister, Mary Adams of Coshocton, Ohio; and four grandchildren.
FRANCES E. SMITH
Frances E. Smith, 66, of Hemphill died Sept. 5, 2000 at Summit Hospital in Sulphur, La.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at Starr Funeral Home in Hemphill with burial at Fairmount Cemetery. Visitation was Wednesday at the funeral home.
She was a lifelong resident of Hemphill.
Survivors include her husband, Rob Smith of Hemphill; and niece, Donna Lynn Ebarb of Beaumont.

William Tyler Sr., 82, of Port Arthur died Sept. 4, 2000 at Doctors Hospital in Groves.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Port Arthur with burial at Johnson Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home in Port Arthur. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Saturday to time of service at the church.
A native of Opelousas, La., he lived in Port Arthur 51 years and was retired from Southern Union Gas.
Survivors include sons, Leo Tyler, William Tyler Jr., Clarence Tyler and John Tyler, all of Omaha, Neb., and Louis Tyler of San Antonio; daughters, Susan Tyler-Jones and Janel Tyler, both of Port Arthur, and Dorothy Tyler-Malveaux of Houston; brothers, Joseph Tyler and Elmer Tyler, both of Opelousas, and Paul Tyler of Houston; sisters, Cora Allen and Elizabeth Kimble, both of Houston; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Beverly Adams Wade, 58, of Beaumont died Sept. 4, 2000 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital.
Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Calvary Mortuary with burial at Anthony Cemetery. A quiet hour will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the mortuary.
She was a lifelong resident of Beaumont.
Survivors include her husband, David Thomas of Beaumont; and an aunt and uncles.

Georgia Walker, 97, of Bay City died Sept. 2, 2000 at The Legacy in Bay City.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Clayton-Thompson Funeral Home in Groves with burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
A native of Cameron, La., she lived in Port Arthur 57 years before moving to Bay City 10 years ago and was a homemaker.
Survivors include her son, Glen Walker of Bay City; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Guy G. Yocom, 77, of Orange died Sept. 5, 2000 at his residence.
A graveside service will be at 4:30 p.m. today at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange County under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
A native of Louisiana, he lived in Orange several years and was a retired tugboat worker.

William Norman Britt Jr., 82, of Vidor died Sept. 17, 2000, at his residence.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Memorial Funeral Home in Vidor with burial at Mitchell Cemetery in Mitchell, La. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
A native of Pleasant Hill, La., he lived in Vidor 47 years and was a retired Local Union 502 carpenter. He was also a World War II U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Britt of Vidor; son, Donald Wayne Britt of Mesquite; daughter, Beverly Jean Britt Cleveland of Vidor; brothers, Newell Nathan Britt of Vidor, Travis Hayes of Shreveport, La., Huey Pierce Hayes of Mitchell, La., and Sonny Hayes of Salt Lake City, Utah; and sisters, Marjorie Ott of Mitchell and Avis Perrello of Beaumont; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

A native of Hodge, La., she lived in Silsbee 80 years and was a homemaker.

Zora Davis, 95, of Vidor died Sept. 17, 2000, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital.

A native of New York, Texas, she lived in Vidor 59 years and was a retired self-employed seamstress.
Survivors include her son, James Wilson of Vidor; daughters, Thelma "Totsie" Lange and Eloise Wilson, both of Vidor and Willie Bee Duncan of Fayetteville, Ark.; 20 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.
ROBERT R. ‘TULLY’ GRAY
Robert R. "Tully" Gray, 42, of Lumberton died Sept. 16, 2000, in Lumberton.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home with burial at Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
A native of Beaumont, he lived in Lumberton six years and was a Beaumont Fire Department engineer.
Survivors include his wife, Vickey Gray of Lumberton; daughter, Missy Gray of Lumberton; son, Matt Gray of Lumberton; sisters, Patti Dean of Beaumont and Susan Smolsky of Port Arthur; and mother, Mary Harvey of Beaumont.
SISTER MARY LOYOLA HEGARTY
Sister Mary Loyola Hegarty, 82, of Houston died Sept. 16, 2000, at St. Placidus Convent in Houston.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Villa de Matel Chapel in Houston with burial at the adjoining convent cemetery under the direction of Earthman Funeral Directors in Houston. A wake will be held at 5 p.m. today at the church.
A native of County Cork, Ireland, she lived in Houston many years and was the Superior General of the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word from 1978 to 1986. She served at St. Theresa Hospital in Beaumont in 1939 and was sister superior of the St. Elizabeth convent from 1988 – 1995. She also saw service at Santa Fe Hospital in Temple, St. Joseph Hospital in Houston, St Mary’s Hospital in Galveston, and St. Mary Hospital in Long Beach, Calif., and she was the assistant administrator at St. Joseph Villa in Salt Lake City, Utah.
She also taught at Villa de Martel in Houston, St. Mary Hospital in Galveston, Sacred heart Dominican College in Houston and at St. Anthony High School in Long Beach. She was also an author and co author.
Survivors include her sister, Sister M. Clotilde Hegarty; brothers, Patrick Hegarty, Finbarr Hegarty and Seamus Hegarty; and several nieces and nephews.
WILBUR ‘BILL’ FRANCIS KUCHAR
Wilbur "Bill" Francis Kuchar, 74, of Groves died Sept. 16, 2000, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with burial at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
A native of Weimer, he lived in Groves 56 years and was retired from Texaco as a head compounder at the P&S Building.
Survivors include his wife, Irene Lenora Siau Kuchar of Groves; daughters, Karen Chevrette of Virginia, Fran Cole of Lumberton and Kim Mannino of Groves; sons, Robert Kuchar of Deweyville and Jeffery Kuchar of Groves; sister, Dorothea Alston of Amarillo; 21 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

James "Terry" McKee, 77, of Port Neches died Sept. 16, 2000, at Mid-Jefferson Hospital in Nederland.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church in Port Neches with burial at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches under the direction of Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
A native of Houston and lifelong resident of Port Neches, he was a retired unit operator with Texaco Chemical and former band director for Sour Lake, Caldwell and Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School Districts. He was also a World War II U.S. Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Madelyn Osborne McKee of Port Neches; daughter, Janet Evelyn McKee of Austin; son, Michael Terry McKee of Port Neches; sister, Jean Leverett of Port Neches; and brother, Wesley Irl McKee of Waco; and four grandchildren.
