Davie
Charles Willie Davie, 67, of Liberty died Thursday, September 15, 2016 in Liberty.
Visitation for Mr. Davie will be 10:00 a.m. until 12 noon, Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home with the service being at 12 noon. Burial will follow servies at Palms Memorial Park cemetery in Dayton.
Mr. Davie was born December 5, 1948 in Chester, South Carolina to parents, Samuel Davie and Olenther Caldwell Davie. He had lived in the Liberty area since 1980 after moving from South Carolina and had worked in the trucking industry. He was owner of Charles and Sons Garage and enjoyed fishing, farming, and his cows. Most of all he loved his family and his grandchildren.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; son, Charles Vincent Davie; sister, Connie Feaster; and special nephew, Ronnie Davie. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Cindy Morrow Davie of Liberty; sons, Warren Tyrone Davie and wife Vanessa of Cypress, Kim Lee Davie of Raywood, and Willie Thomas Davie and wife Nancy of Dayton; daughter, Kristina Chantell Zeno and husband Jamason of Dayton; fifteen grandchildren; brothers, Sammy Davie of South Carolina and Robert Lee Davie of California; sisters, Carrie Mae Davie of South Carolina, Olenther P. Davie of South Carolina; Wilma Digby of South Carolina, Arnetta Darby of North Carolina, and Betty Jean Brice of South Carolina; grandchildren, Tyrone Davie, Jr., Katrina Davie, Kendall Davie, Kingston Miker-Davie, Tylee Davie, Braelyn Davie, Kali Davie, Kassidy Davie, Kimberly Davie, Domonique Leger, Payge Davie, Carly Davie, Noah Thompson, Da'Morian Zeno, and Ameera Zeno; also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Ortiz
Ryan Michael Ortiz, age 28 of Liberty, died September 10, 2016 at his residence in Liberty, TX.
Ryan was born February 26, 1988 in Beaumont, TX, son of Ricardo Ortiz and Vickie Morrison. He graduated from Liberty High School in 2006 and went to work as a house parent for the Boys Haven in Beaumont. While in high school, it was said that Ryan was the class clown. He was an avid football fan which included Oklahoma University and the Houston Texans. He will be missed by all.
Ryan was preceded in death by his father, paternal grandfather; Manuel Ortiz, maternal grandparents; Odie and Mavis Morrison. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, mother; Vickie Lee McIntyre of Liberty, sister; Lindsey Ortiz of Liberty and paternal grandmother; Gloria Ortiz of Richmond.
Services for Ryan Michael Ortiz will be Friday, September 16, 2016 at 10am at Calvary Baptist Church, 15 CR 129 in Liberty. Services are under the direction of Allison Funeral Service, 1101 North Travis, Liberty, TX.
Flowers
James David "Paddy" Flowers of Saratoga, Texas died on Friday September 9, 2016 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. He was 72.
A service of remembrance will be held on Thursday September 15, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at Roadside Memorial Baptist Church of Saratoga, with Pastor Gene Denham officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Guedry cemetery in Batson.
Serving as pallbearers are Chasity Lafour, Blufford Hubbard, William Roeling, Russell Thomas, Corey Brown, and Jerimy Flowers.
Honorary pallbearers are Rayn Johnson, Gurvis Sthram, Tommy Brown, Walter Lowe, and Richard Flowers.
The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday September 14, 2016 from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the church.
A native of Bay City, TX, he had lived in Saratoga, most of his life. He was a retired Heavy Equipment Operator for Odell Roeling Construction of Hull, and a U.S. Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clemon B. Flowers and Ruby Tanner Flowers. Brothers, Melvin Flowers and Clemon Lee Flowers.
Survivors include wife, Karen Flowers of Saratoga, daughters, Terri McMahan and husband Duane of Gladewater, Wendy Brown and husband Tommy of Daratoga, and Michele Mercer of Crosby. Brother, Richard "Dickie" Flowers of Hull, and many nieces and nephews.
Grandchildren are Casey Morgan, Kathryn Spry and husband Rayn Johnson, Corey Brown, Russell Thomas and Ally Spry. Great grandchildren are Kaiden Caruthers, Railynn Brown, and Gabriella Garza.

David Earl Miller 69 of Liberty, Texas died Friday, September 9th 2016 at Houston San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown. He was surrounded by his loving family in his last hours.
David was born on May 9, 1947 to parents Earl Miller and Emma Dean Miller Woods. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Beverly Williamson. He is survived by his partner and special friend Sharron Farris, brother Ricky “Woody” Woods, children Jerre' Miller Delaney and husband Lindsay, Michelle Miller Fatheree and husband Michael "Sandy", Angela Miller Parrish and husband Cody, and mother of his children Judy McCarty.
Grandchildren Kara Meche Spear, Kaci Meche Rhine, Austin Fatheree, Jaden Parrish, Jacee Parrish and great granddaughter Ellie Rhine. Nephew Wade Williamson, Nieces Debbie and Laurie Williamson, Darby Woods Smart and husband Nate. Along with multiple nieces and nephews.
David served in the US Army being stationed in Korea. David loved to fly and was an accomplished pilot with single, multi engine, instrument and commercial ratings. He was well known for his cooking skills and was a part of the first Barbeque contest sponsored by the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo in 1976. He served as Chairman for Liberty County Area Go Texan Committee. He was a member of Liberty Elks Lodge #2019 for many years. He participated in many barbeque contest and fund raisers for several decades. David was a lifelong resident of Liberty where he worked in sales in the oil industry for Ward McCarty Inc. He will be missed by many.
In Lieu of flowers it has been requested that memorial contributions be made to Liberty Elks Lodge # 2019 650 Wallisville Rd. Liberty, Texas 77575.

Campbell
Bryan Keith Campbell, age 57 of Liberty, died September 8, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Houston.
Bryan was born December 4, 1958, in Liberty, Texas, to parents James Henry Campbell and Nellie Fay Gain Campbell and resided there for most of his life.
Bryan was a true renaissance man, loving brother, son, and uncle. He was best known as an outstanding professional musician and performer. He was employed with First United Methodist Church of Liberty as organist, pianist, and choral director for over thirty years. Bryan played keyboards with numerous bands, opries, and solo gigs all over Texas as well as an organist for the Houston Astros. He exceled at anything creative. As an actor, he gave many memorable performances with theater groups all over southeast Texas and relished in making audiences delight with laughter. As a restaurateur and caterer, he loved to share his cooking talents with everyone whenever he could. As a landscape designer, he brought beauty to many through his vision and love for plants and flowers. He found blessings when he could bless others with his god given gifts and will truly be missed by all who knew him.
Bryan was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his four brothers: James Campbell and wife Shirley of Sour Lake, Texas, Gary Campbell and wife Kathy of Brenham, Michael Campbell of Bonner Springs, KA, and Joel Campbell and wife Tracy of Dallas. He also leaves his nephews Jason Campbell and wife Brooke of Carrollton, Jacob Campbell and wife Leah of Wyllie, Chris Campbell and wife Sarah, and Jeffery Campbell of Kansas. His nieces, Bonnie Campbell of Brenham, Hannah and Sara Campbell both of Dallas. In addition he also leaves his great niece and two great nephews, Autrie and Attikus Grabarschick of Brenham and Dylan Hawthorne of Wyllie, Texas.
Cremation services are under the direction of Allison Funeral Service, 1101 N. Travis Liberty, Texas. A memorial service will be held at 6 P.M. at the First United Methodist Church of Liberty Wednesday September 14, 2016. Memorial contributions can be made in Bryan’s memory to the First United Methodist Church of Liberty.
Trahan
Josephine Lachapelle Trahan was born December 21, 1928 to B. L. Lachapelle and Loranza Couty in Mamou, Louisiana. Josephine was one of four children.
Josephine was a devoted housewife and dedicated mother. She was a member of Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church of Ames, Texas from a very young age until her death.
Josephine met and married
Ambrose Roy Trahan in Liberty, Texas in 1945. To this union they had twelve children.
Josephine loved quilting, gardening, fishing, cooking, reading, raising chickens, ducks, hogs, watching CNN and Si Fi movies. She also loved her Cajun and Zydeco music and dancing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers; Joseph Lachapelle and Rodney Celestine, six sons; Roy Anthony Trahan, David Louis Trahan, Gabrielle Trahan, Bobby Dean Trahan, Joseph Jerry Trahan, and Michael Trahan, one daughter; Mary Louise Trahan.
Josephine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She leaves to celebrate her spirit her sister; Jessie Joseph of Houston, Texas, her sister-in-laws; Rose Marks and Eleanor Melonson of Ames, Texas, son; Charles Ray Trahan of Ames, Texas, daughters; Mary Lois Trahan Allison of Mamou, Louisiana, Angelina Trahan Brown of Nacogdoches, Texas, Delilah Marie Trahan David (Lionel) of Ames, Texas, and Frances Ann Trahan DeBlanc (Henry) of Houston, Texas.
Also celebrating her spirit, a host of grandchildren, great- grandchildren, great- great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Augustin Hernandez-Martinez, 83, of Houston, died Monday, September 5, 2016, at the LBJ Hospital in Houston.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, September 9, 2016, at Casa De Oracion in Dayton. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 10, 2016, at Casa De Oracion at 241 CR 4881, Dayton, with burial following at Palms Memorial Park in Dayton. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
Augustin was born May 28, 1933 in Mexico, to parents; Seferino Martinez and Juana Hernandez, and has been a Houston resident for one year. He was a farmer by trade and enjoyed spending time with his family and collecting coins.
Mr. Hernandez-Martinez was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Juana Velasquez, and grandson: Miguel Angel Martinez. Keaton
Earl “Ike” Keaton, 60, of Liberty, died Monday, September 5, 2016, in Liberty.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, September 9, 2016, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton.
Ike was born January 26, 1956 in Liberty, to parents; Floyd D. and Opal Fountain Keaton, and has been a lifelong resident of Liberty. He was a veteran of the US Air Force with service during Vietnam, a former oilfield worker, a retired truck driver, and a proficient player of many music instruments. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and visiting with family and friends.
Mr. Keaton was preceded in death by his parents and brother: James Lee Andrews. He is survived by his wife of 43 years: Debbie Kay Rawson Keaton of Liberty, sons: Robert E. Keaton of Liberty, Christopher L. Keaton of Liberty, Chad A. Keaton of Liberty, and Brad W. Keaton of Liberty, brother: Michael R. Keaton of Trinity, sisters: Crystal Williams and husband Michael of Tennessee and Cynthia Keaton Taylor and husband Lawson of Trinity, grandchildren: Megan Parsley, Miranda Keaton, Nicole Parsley, and Ariel Kelly, great-grandchild: Riley E. Virginia Fay Parrish, 74 of Thicket, died Sunday September 4, 2016 at Magnolia Place in Liberty.
A service of remembrance will be held on Thursday September 8, 2016 at 11:30 A.M. at The United Pentecostal Church of Daisetta with Reverend Brad Davis officiating. Cremation to follow. The family will be receiving friends also on Thursday September 8, 2016 from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at the church.
A native Hull, she had lived in the Hardin County area for most of her life and was a cook. She was preceded in death by sister, Betty Austin and brothers, Lonnie Ray Ferguson and Roy Ferguson.
Survivors are sons, Lonnie Brown Jr. of Saratoga, Calvin Brown of Marquez, TX, Daniel Jasper of Thicket, Roy Brown of Saratoga, Jimmy Brown of Saratoga, and Billy Brown of Silsbee. Daughters, Rita Cantrell of Saratoga, Tincy Brown of Winnie, and Ann Brown of Wildwood. Brothers, Linnie Ferguson of Daisetta, Donnie Ferguson of Hardin, Thomas Ferguson of Woodville, and Avie Ferguson of Houston, and sister Wanda Ferguson Tilton of Woodville.
