Williams

Mittie Lou Williams, age 73, of Wallisville, Texas, died Sunday, August 28, 2016 in Houston. She was born on February 25, 1943 in Baytown, Texas to Ester and Dorothy Mae Harmon. She attended Barbers Hill High School and was a member of the Cove Church of Christ.

Mittie had several hobbies, some of which included crocheting, sewing, fishing, shrimping and raising dogs. Her favorite hobby of all was spending time with her family whom she loved unconditionally.

Mittie was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 43 years, Thurman Williams; her daughter Terrie Huntley; and nephew Bob Wallace, Jr.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter Diane Thomas of Baytown; her son Chris Williams and fiancé Chandra Norris; her grandchildren Jerry Huntley, Kevin Huntley, Kristen Huntley, Laura Thomas, Wesley Williams and Everett Williams; her 3 great-grandchildren; her sister Judy Wallace and husband Bob of Wallisville; her brother Ricky Harmon and wife Gail of Cove; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Fregia

Martrell Fregia age 90, of Liberty went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, August 28, 2016 in Beaumont, Texas.

Martrell was born in Jasper, Texas, January 15, 1926, the daughter of the late Vernon Carrico and Bobbie Davis Carrico. Martrell was a business woman, rancher, and hairdresser. She was devoted to her family and friends. She enjoyed riding around on her tractor and checking on her cows. She made lifelong friends and was a joy to be around. Martrell would do whatever it took to help raise her five children, she could do it all. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. In her final days, she taught a lesson to her great grandchildren, “Forgive so you can be forgiven, and give so that God can return it to you.”

She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband Edmon Lewis Fregia, sisters Bobbie Jo Basham and Laverne Denby, sons Douglas Wallace and Vernon Wallace, and three grandchildren Rocky Vaughn, Scotty Wallace, and Baby Haidusek.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son Leslie Wallace and wife Melissa, daughters Brenda Wallace, Audra Wallace Vaughn, brother Phillip Carrico and wife Laura, and a sister Virgil Hamilton. In addition she leaves her fifteen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren, and twenty-one great-great grandchildren.

A funeral service for Martrell will be held 11AM Thursday September 1, 2016 at Allison Funeral Service, 1101 N. Travis St., Liberty, Texas. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in Velia R. Fregia cemetery in Liberty.

Waldrop

Jackie "Jack” Dean Waldrop, age 63 of Anahuac, died at his residence on August 25, 2016.

The oldest of three boys, he was born September 12, 1952 in Dallas, to Dean and Gwen Waldrop. His family moved around for his father's work as a minister and teacher.

They settled in Brenham where he graduated high school in 1971. Jack met his wife of 42 years, Laura, in the band at Howard Payne University.

They graduated in 1976 and moved to Bellville for their first teaching job. Their daughter, Amber was born on March 10, 1978. Jack decided to pursue his career and moved to Anahuac in 1979. Their son, Joel was born August 14, 1980. Jack loved teaching his students about music. He loved to play his tuba. One of his loves was to play in the Bay Brass Quintet of Baytown. He also played at First Baptist Church of Anahuac for the choir. One hobby of Jack's was playing golf. He joined the Chamber's County Men's Gold Association. He made many wonderful friends playing golf but he especially enjoyed playing golf with Joel and his buddy, Bill Astley. He made a career change and received his Masters in Education Administration. He served as the Assistant Principal at both the Jr. High and High Schools of Anahuac.

He became principal of the High School in 1996. He loved his students and teachers. He retired in 2004, but his career didn't end then. He was given a part-time position helping with the band program. He always said he had the dream job teaching music and still having time to play golf in the afternoon. He became interested in the Hospital and Clinic of Anahuac and served on the CCPHD board of trustees and the CCHC board. He was very proud of the work they did keeping health care affordable and of the highest quality for the residents of Chambers County.

Jack is preceded in death by his father Hubert Dean Waldrop.

He is survived by is loving wife of 42 years, Laura, daughter Amber and son-in-law Adam Grumbles and granddaughter Gigi, son Joel and granddaughter Anna, his mother, Gwendolyn Beth Waldrop, brother Steve and sister-in-law Margie Waldrop, brother David and sister-in-law Patti Waldrop. Jack made friends easily so there are too many to name. He has nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews he loved. He will be missed by all who knew him especially by his dogs, Bonnie and Chloe.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 2pm until 4pm on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at the First Baptist Church of Anahuac, 405 S. Magnolia Street, Anahuac, Texas. A memorial service in Jack’s honor will begin at 4pm.

Watson

Joseph Carl Watson, 69, of Houston, Texas died unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 in Houston. He was born on March 7, 1947 in Houston to Carl and Faye Lee Watson. Joseph graduated from M.B. Smiley High School in 1964. After graduation, he joined the United States Air Force, was a Staff Sergeant and served in Vietnam. Joseph was also a member of the VFW Post 8905 in Houston. He enjoyed reading, photography and collecting vintage jewelry and coins.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his siblings Deborah Watson Anderson of Dayton, Texas, Michael Lee Watson of Houston and Ricky David Watson and wife Denise of Huffman, Texas; his nieces and nephews Kelly Frnka, Heather Hornsby, Michael Watson, II, Stacy Qualls, Lyndsay Anderson and Stephanie Watson; numerous great-nieces and and nephews; and a host of other family members and friends. Joseph will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A graveside service and committal will be held at 2:30pm on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 in the Huffman cemetery located at 26400 Humble-Crosby Road, Huffman, Texas.

Randolph

Ralph Bunche Randolph, 62 of Baytown, TX died Thursday August 24, 2016.

Ralph was born May 15, 1954 in Hardin TX, to Floyd and Agnes Randolph. He graduated from Hardin High School in 1972.

He married Carolyn Goudeau on September 8, 1988 and they were happily married for 28 years.

Ralph is survived by four children; Darrell Randolph of Houston TX, Mario Randolph of Baytown TX, Ryan Randolph of Baytown TX, and Ron Randolph of Baytown, TX. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at the Wells Funeral home 300 Alabama, Liberty TX 77575, in the Althea P. Gibson Chapel, on Tuesday August 30, 2016 from 1:00pm-6:00pm. Wednesday August 31, 2016 he will lie-in-state at the Olive Bethel Missionary Baptist Church 5830 FM 1011, Hardin, TX 77575 from 9:00am-11:00am. Funeral will follow Pastor Gregg Bellard officiating.

Interment Bingham cemetery, Hardin, Texas.

Wells Funeral Services at 300 Alabama Street, Liberty, Texas has been entrusted with final arrangements.

Traywick

Norma Jean Traywick 72, of Devers, died Thursday August 25, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her family.

A service of remembrance will be held on Monday August 29, 2016 at 10:00A.M. at First Baptist Church of Devers with Reverend Rick Edwards officiating. Interment will follow at Rice Belt cemetery in Devers.

There will be a gathering of family and friends on Sunday August 28, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. also at First Baptist Church of Devers.

Serving as pallbearers are Joseph Rayon, Seth Traywick, Lucas Hughes, Kevin Patterson, Fabian Galvan, Tevin Mouton, Ryan Hall and Jimmy Jackson.

Honorary pallbearers are Anthony Jones, Charles" Frog" Scott, Kevin Theiss, Lee Traywick, William Rayon, Klayton Carter, Josh and Adam Percy, Chad Johnson, Darrin, Wayne, Steve, Kent, Keith, Robbie, Darrick, Mike Schwartz, Sr. and Mike Schwartz, Jr.

A native of Conroe, she had lived in Devers, most of her life and was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Devers. Jean's life revolved around her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She gave unconditional love to all she knew. Her kind soul and wonderful heart touched so many. She made her home a home for everyone.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, James Jackson and Edna Mae Acreman. Son, Vernon Traywick and daughter Cathy Jones Traywick.

Jean is survived by her daughter, Donna Traywick and Michael Moon of Devers, son-in-law, Anthony Jones of Devers, and son, James Jackson and wife Lois of Huntsville.

Grandchildren are Colleen Traywick (Jeremy Hoarau) Joseph Rayon, Chelsi Patterson (Kevin) Seth Traywick, Courtney and Alisha Jones, Lucas Hughes, Fabian Galvan, Tevin Mouton, Ryan Hall and Jimmy Jackson.

Great grandchildren are Raegen Rayon, Anthony Patterson, Elaina Mouton and Eli Jackson.

Vaughn

Heather Marie Vaughn age 28 died Wednesday August 24, 2016 in Baytown, Texas.

Heather was born in Baytown, Texas February 5, 1988 the daughter of Chad E. Vaughn and Kristen Stuckey Norris. Heather enjoyed needle point, playing monopoly, and volleyball. A graduate of Dayton High School she went on to earn a certificate in Medical Coding. After completion of her certificate program she began working at Redman Family Clinic in Dayton.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother Mona Vaughn, maternal grandfather Wiley Stuckey III, uncle Troy Vaughn, and a sister Rachel Fowler.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her four children: Ramsey Rogers; Regan Rogers; Aubrey Rogers; and Georgia Ann Abbott. She also leaves her parents: father Chad Vaughn; mother Kristen Norris; paternal grandfather Everett Vaughn (Nancy); maternal grandmother Judy Stuckey; uncle William Stuckey (Becky); sister Amanda Howard; brothers: Jared Fowler; Nathan Fowler; Randall Fowler; step brother Joe Eddinger; step sister Samantha Eddinger; and a sister Nicole Eddinger. In addition she leaves a host of other family members and friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation for Heather will be held Monday August 29, 2016 from 5-8 P.M. at Allison Funeral Service, 1101 N. Travis Liberty, Texas. Funeral Services will be held 2 P.M. Tuesday August 30, 2016 at the funeral home with burial to follow in Liberty City cemetery.

Sanders

Ms. Grace Marie Sanders, 76, of Ames, Texas died, Monday, August 22, 2016 at her home.

Grace was born July 28, 1940, in Liberty, Texas. She was a 1958 graduate of West Liberty High school and was a member of the Cornerstone Church. She had a loving spirit, caring heart, and a smile that could light up a room. She also enjoyed sewing, cooking, and, upholstery.

Ms. Sanders was preceded in death by her father, Griggs Owens, Sr; mother, Octavia-Smith; and a sister, Wilma Levy.

She is survived by two Siblings, Brother-Griggs Owens Jr. (Gloria), Ft. Work, TX and Sister-Diann Hill, Ames, TX; three children, Sons-Duane Sanders (Linda), Biloxi, MS, and Robert Newsome (Cynthia), Austin, TX; Daughter-Rhonda Lacap, Baytown, TX; Twelve grandchildren, Fifteen great-grandchildren, Three Special Daughters: Kathy Mouton, Betty Edwards, and Sonja Kelly; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation Services: Friday August, 26, 2016, Wells Funeral Services from 1:00pm-6:00pm. Saturday, August 27, 2016, she will lie-in-state 9:00 am - 11:00 am, Cornerstone Church 1693 Hwy 146 Bypass, Liberty, Texas 77575. Funeral Service will follow Pastor Mike Glazener officiating. Reynolds

Jonathan Caleb Reynolds, a resident of Tarkington, Texas, passed away, August 19, 2016, at the age of 17, doing what he loved.

Caleb was born November 12, 1998 in Oklahoma City to parents Brandy Lynn Vause and William Allen Reynolds.

In the summer of 2016, he volunteered for Devers Fire Department. Shortly after he began his first job at J&J Lumber Mill. Caleb was a member of the graduating class of 2017 at Tarkington ISD. Most importantly, in his last months he dedicated his life to the Lord and impacted many.

Survivors include his parents, Brandy and Jason Parker; sister, Cheyanne Velvette Reynolds and Destiny Ann Minx; brothers, William Allen Reynolds, II, Elijah Daniel Reynolds, Nehemiah “Joseph” Reynolds and Fabian Galvan; grandparents, Sidney and Sherry Vause, Darlene and Walter Parker; uncles, Sidney Vause, III, Ty Parker and Mark Parker; aunt, Velvet Turpin; nephews, Giovanni and Damian; best friend, J.G. Head; numerous cousins, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Services will follow starting at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Interment will follow at Ryan cemetery, Cleveland, Texas.

Wade

Hattie Marie Conner Wade, 76, of Dayton died Wednesday, August 24, 2016 in Baytown.

Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home. Services are 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 28, 2016 at Pace-Stancil. Interment will follow at Palms Memorial Park cemetery in Dayton.

Hattie was born July 13, 1940 in Eastgate, Texas to Henry Hayes Conner and N. Marie Rice Conner. A Life Long resident of Dayton, she was a member of the Dayton High School Class of 1958 where she graduated third in her class. Mrs. Wade was a long time member of the Gum Grove Baptist Church where she served as treasurer since 1965. She was a 4H Project Leader and a volunteer at the Heritage Villa Nursing Home. Hattie had many interests, fishing, camping, cooking, reading the bible, working in her garden and flower beds, canning and making her famous peanut brittle. She loved her family and taking care of them, especially supporting them in their sports and horse shows. She was loved and will be missed by all that knew her.

Mrs. Wade was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Bill Wade of Dayton; mother, Marie Conner-Moore; daughter, Lisa Wade of Dayton; son, Bryan “Bubba” Wade of Dayton; grandchildren, Kolby Wade and wife Kirsten, Amber Wade, and Dani Ward; great granddaughter, Brynne Marie Diamond; brother, Eugene “Gene” Conner and wife Jenny of Dayton; sister, Glenda Kornegay and husband Bill of Shiner; nieces and nephews, Katy, Scotty and Mark, Matthew, Brett and Amy, Ann, Beth and G.W.; also numerous other family members and friends especially her best friend Beverly Hill.

Oakes

Jeffery Lynn Oakes age 60 died Saturday August 20, 2016 in Liberty, Texas.

Jeffery was born in Seminole, Oklahoma April 26, 1956 the son of the late Roland Oakes and Betty Aultz Oakes. Jeffery enjoyed fast cars, his horses, and his dogs. He most especially enjoyed his time with his family and friends. He worked in the Oilfield throughout his life, lastly working in Solid Control, as well as within sales and the technical aspect of the Oilfield.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughters: Tuesday Oakes and Cassandra Oakes; his son: James Oakes (Shannon); brothers: David Oakes (Ott); Ronnie Oakes; and Tim Taylor, sisters: Debbie Oakes; and Lisa Lewis (Sammy). In addition he leaves his three stepchildren: Brooke Brown; Kristen Brown; and Meagan Brown; four grandchildren: Roland Oakes, Avery Oakes; Shelby Oakes; and Payton Oakes. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial service for Jeffery will be held Saturday September 3, 2016 at 4 P.M. at Allison Funeral Service, 1101 N. Travis Liberty, Texas. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
