Lola Mae Marberry 78, of Hardin, Texas, died on Wednesday August 3, 2016 at her residence. She was 78.

A service of remembrance will be held on Saturday August 6, 2016 at New Life Church of Batson, TX, at 10:00.A.M. with Reverend Bill Campbell and Reverend Tolbert Hudspeth officiating. Interment will follow at Moss Hill cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers are Eugene Shannon, Michael Shannon, Guy Phillips, Shannon Styron, Chip Measles, Randy Measles, Bryce Hazelwood and Trever Hanks.

Honorary pallbearers are Ronnie Taylor, Tommy Fregia, James Strahan, Billy Duke, Buster Hudspeth, David Chandler, Terry Elder Sr. and Milford Measles.

The family will be receiving friends on Friday August 5, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at New Life Church of Batson, TX.

A native of Corpus Christi, TX, she had lived in Hardin, TX, most of her life and was a homemaker. She was a member of New Life Church of Batson, TX.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Lendell Marberry and son, Eddie Marberry. Parents, William Burr Rayburn and Mamie Rayburn. Brothers, William Burr Rayburn Jr. and Robert Gerald Rayburn.

Survivors are daughters, Charmaine Kresch and husband Frank of Jefferson, TX, Dede Taylor of Hardin, TX. Son, Chuck Marberry and wife Tammie of Hardin, TX, and brother, Carl Rayburn of Ruth, MS. Sisters, Mary Lou Shannon of Hull, TX, Margaret Measles and husband Milford of Madisonville, TX, and Carroll Hudspeth and husband Buster of Monticello, MS. Grandchildren are Brandi Farrell and husband Shawn of Fort Worth, TX, Heath Dennison of Jefferson, TX, Tiffany Hanks of Batson, TX, Tabitha Freeman and husband Clint of Batson, TX, Tommi Deckert and husband Trey of Batson, TX, Megan Jordan of Las Vegas, NV, Tara Jordan of San Antonio, TX, Monica Marberry of Hardin, TX, and Tealyn Marberry of Hardin, TX. Great-grandchildren are Julian Farrell, Lola Pearl Farrell, Trever Hanks, Bryce Hazelwood, Graci Hazelwood, Kobyn Freeman, Treysen Deckert, and Trinyti Deckert.

Memorial contributions may be made to New Life Missions 42493 Hwy. 105. Batson, Texas 77519.

Biass

Gracie M. Bias, 75, of Houston, Texas, died July 30, 2016, at her residence.

Gracie Mearl Scott Bias was born January 18, 1941 in Hardin, Texas, to the late Frank and Nada Tompkins Scott.

She accepted Christ and baptized at an early age. She was a member of the Church of God in Christ in Hardin, Texas, and later a member of Evangelist Temple Church of God in Christ, Houston, Texas, until she move to Alexandria Louisiana. Gracie graduated from Hardin Elementary School and attended Liberty High School in Liberty, Texas.

She worked at Sears as a cook for many years and Houston Independent School District as a food service waiter until she retired. She worked at a Nursing Facility for a few years. She was called back to the School District where she worked several more years.

Gracie loved her family never complained and we always had prayer before we departed.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Mr. Frank and Nada Tompkins Scott, four sisters, five brothers.

He leaves to cherish her memories; one brother: Reverend Ben Scott of Topeka, Kansas, two sisters: Mary Vimin of Houston, Texas, Wanda S. Scott Bell of Alexandria, Louisiana. A special nephew, Geoffrey Scott of Houston, Texas and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 5, 2016, at Wells Funeral Services, Althea P. Gibson Memorial Chapel, 300 Alabama St, Liberty, Texas from 1:00 pm to 6:00 p.m. She will lie-in-state at Olive Bethel Baptist Church, 5830 FM 1011, Liberty, Texas, Rev. Gregg Ballard, Pastor from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, funeral services will follow. Rev. Ben Scott, Officiating.

Wells Funeral Services at 300 Alabama Street, Liberty, Texas has been entrusted with final arrangements.

Nettles

Dorothy Merle Nettles of Moss Hill, left us to be reunited with our daddy and her husband on Wednesday August 3, 2016 at her residence. She was 82.

A service of remembrance will be held on Saturday August 6, 2016 at 1:00 P.M.. at Faith & Family Funeral Services, with Reverend Don Hinklin officiating. Cremation to follow service.

There will be a gathering of family and friends on Friday August 5, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Faith & Family Chapel.

A native of San Angelo, TX, she had lived in Moss Hill for 30 years and was a retired administrator for Life Share Blood Centers of Beaumont. She was very active in the Hardin Lions Club where she and her husband Henry served their community with joy and passion.

She was preceded in death by her husband Henry Weldon Nettles, her parents, Ross Wilson and Dorothy Jane Wilson. Brother, Leon Wilson and one sister and great granddaughter, Brittany Shaw.

Survivors are son, Daniel Nettles and wife Terry of La Porte, daughters, Linda Hinklin of Silsbee, and Debbie Janssen of La Porte. Sister, Liz Nelson of Rio Grande, TX.

Grandchildren are Leah Shotwell, Shana Arnold, Janelle Janssen, Heather Breland, Amber Hildebrand, and Carrie Huff.

Great grand grandchildren, Kelsey Arnold, Tristan Arnold, Preston Arnold, Blake Vest, Kamden Breland, Brayden Wilson, Morgan Hildebrand, Tyler Hildebrand, Landan Huff, Amelia Huff and Colt Vest. Great -great -grandchildren are Lyric Shaw, Lorelai Shaw and Carter Arnold.

Holloman

Clint Holloman Jr. 93, of Liberty, TX died July 30, 2016.

Services will be Aug. 06, 2016 at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church 101 Donatto St. Ames, TX. Visitation will begin at 9AM until funeral at 10AM. Interment will be Our Mother Mercy Catholic cemetery, Ames, TX.

Clint Jr. was born Sept. 28, 1922. to parents Henriette and Clint Holloman Sr.

Clint was born and raised in Polk County. He served in the U.S. Navy and participated in World War II. In 1964 he married the love of his life Annie Lee Arceneaux-Holloman. He was employed at Hugh Tool Company for 43 Years until retiring in 1984.

He was preceded in death by parents: Clint Sr. and Henrietta Holloman, wife: Annie Le Holloman and son: Nathaniel Holloman

To continue his legacy, Clint leaves his daughters: Clemmie Coleman and Ester Holloman, sons: Clint Holloman III, Reno Holloman, Alexander Holloman and Sampson Deloach, 16- Grandchildren 6- Great Grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Mr. Holloman's services have been entrusted to Proctor's Mortuary (Locations in Anahuac, Beaumont, Silsbee and Woodville, TX.) .

Smith

Dorothy Jane Smith 63, of Hankamer, TX died July 28, 2016.

Services will be Aug. 06, 2016 at St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church 213 Albrittion Gulley Rd. Hankamer, TX. Visitation will begin at 11AM until funeral at 1 P.M.. Interment will be in Lewis cemetery.

She was proceeded in death by her mother Dorothy Gillory-Lewis and father Julius Lewis Sr. Late husband's Denny Speights and Dorsey Smith, Sister's Betty Lewis, Bertha Rivon, Ethel Banks, Linda Lewis and Fannie Raymond.

Cherishing her memories are children: Anthony Lewis (Irisa), Satera Pasha, Deltra Speights and Jacquline Singleton (Philip Jones). Siblings: Carolyn Speights, Julius Lewis Jr. and Elizabeth Lewis. 11 Grandchildren, 2-Great Grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Smith's services have been entrusted to Proctor's Mortuary (Locations in Anahuac, Beaumont, Silsbee and Woodville, TX.) .

Carr

Guy Patrick Carr, 53, of Liberty, passed peacefully into the arms of God on August 1, 2016. An enormous loss for this world, but a beautiful gain in heaven.

Guy was born on March 23, 1963 in Fort Worth, Texas. His parents are Herbert and Katherine Carr of Liberty.

Family was everything to him. He was a cherished Husband, Dad and PawPaw. Guy was a man of God, a hard worker and a loyal friend, he was an example to everyone.

He loved life and had many interests, hunting, fishing, guns, motorcycles and pawn shops.

A lifetime resident of Liberty, Guy attended college at Stephen F. Austin, majoring in Criminal Justice. Then went on to pursue a career as a Police Officer for Dayton P.D. He proudly wore the badge and continued his love for the Police Brotherhood even after going to work at Chevron.

Honored to hold the precious memories of this wonderful man is his wife of 28 years, Terri Carr and daughters, Angela Brown and Aimee Carr, all of Liberty. Plus many other relatives.

Guy fought the good fight for nearly 12 years after his injury. He held on for his family. His pride and joy was his three Grandbabies, Alisabeth Brown, Aidan and Noah Billstein who loved him dearly.

There will be no public ceremony. Those wanting to show their respect please donate to the Dayton Police Department in Guy's name.

Howard

Stacy James Howard, 46, of Dayton, died Friday, July 29, 2016, in Hardin County, Texas.

Visitation with rosary will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday, July 31, 2016, at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton. Funeral service will be Monday August 1, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at Old Ritchie cemetery in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Stacy was born February 12, 1970 in Houston, Texas, in St. Joseph Hospital to parents; James Brent and Aridell Mary Howard, and has been a lifelong resident of the Dayton area. Stacy was a Document Control Specialist. He loved animals and especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Stacy will be missed by those who knew and loved him.

Stacy was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Wendy Leigh, and boxer, Guideaux.

Mr. Howard is survived by special friend, Alvin Richard; sisters, Darla Webb, Vanessa Williams and Tiffaney Burns; his yellow lab, Portia; Australian shepherd, Jaxon and boxer-pit, Trey, also numerous other relatives, and friends.

Robinson

Diane Louise Robinson, 69, of Dayton, Texas died Wednesday, July 27, 2016 in Baytown, Texas.

She was born on April 11, 1947 in Baytown, Texas to Jefferson Davis and Vera Jacobson Reavis. Diane graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown. She and her husband Ronnie made Dayton their home after spending 6 years in the Pearland area. Diane worked at the post office in Dayton for many years before her retirement after 30 years of service. She loved attending church at Whispering Meadows Baptist Church where she was a member and Treasurer. Diane was also a member of the Gideons International and T.O.P.S. (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) group. Her favorite hobby of all was her family and grandchildren, who were the center point of her life. Diane was a beautiful, loving, and funny woman who was kind hearted.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of 49 years and 5 months, Ronnie L. Robinson; her children Michelle Williams and husband Michael of Dayton, Dustin Robinson and wife Misty of Dayton and Ashley Webb and husband Jason of Huffman; her grandchildren Chris and Caleb Williams, Kayla and Hallie Robinson and Addilynn Webb; her siblings Betty Gregurek and husband Ed of Hearne, TX, Beth Zagone of Shreveport, LA and Dale Reavis and wife Karen of Raywood, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends. Diane will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 2pm until 5pm on Sunday, July 31, 2016 in the chapel of Sterling Funeral Home located at 602 N. Main Street in Dayton. A funeral service will be held at 10am on Monday, August 1, 2016 at Sterling Funeral Home with Rev. Darren Smith officiating.

Polinskey

Joel Edwin Polinskey age 69 died Thursday July 28, 2016 in Houston, Texas.

Joel was born November 26, 1946 in Russellville, Arkansas the son of the late Truman Polinskey and Dorothy Greeson Polinskey. He worked for numerous employers within the Oil and Paper industry. Joel last worked as an engineer for Exxon Mobil. He was a kind, calm, and gentle man, who enjoyed spending time with his family. Joel was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the US Navy aboard the USS Constellation. A hard worker, he also enjoyed daytrips and going antiquing with his wife Linda. Joel received his degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arkansas and was a proud “Razorback”.

He was preceded in death by his parents as well as a brother John Polinskey.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of forty-one years Linda S. Polinskey of Hardin, daughter Paula S. Williams (John) of Sugarland, son Robert E. Williams (Stacey) of Liberty, son John D. Williams of Hardin, and a brother Michael Barras (Paula) of Van Buren, Arkansas. In addition he also leaves his two granddaughters Kristin McCullough (Odis) and Ainsley Williams, and a great granddaughter Odisha McCullough. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral Services will be held 11AM Monday August 1, 2016 at Allison Funeral Service, 1101 N. Travis Liberty, Texas. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service.
