Hues

Roy Eldon Hues, 63, of Dayton, Texas, died at his home on Tuesday, May 3, 2016.

He was born on October 5, 1952 in Pasadena, Texas to Eldon Hues, Jr. and Francis Louise Higgins Hues. Roy graduated from Barbers Hill High School in 1971. He honored his country by joining the United States Army at Fort Polk, Louisiana. During his time in the Army, Roy served Peace Time duty in both Germany and Alaska. Every July he and some of his Army buddies would meet up for a yearly reunion together. Roy worked for many years at Champion Paper in various positions, until the paper mill closed. He then worked for the Home Depot in Baytown and finally Clean Harbors before retiring in early 2015.

Roy was a member of Old River Baptist Church. He had many hobbies some of which included watching television and surfing the internet. Roy also loved to fish and hunt deer, ducks and hogs. He thoroughly enjoyed coaching his daughter, Kimberly’s softball team in Dayton when she was growing up. Roy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents; and a son Roy Hues, Jr.; and brother Ricky Hues. He is survived by his loving wife of thirty years Diana Malak Hues of Dayton; his daughter Kimberly Smith of Livingston; his sons Thomas Hues and wife Melody of Deridder, Louisiana, Chris Hues and wife Stacy of Louisiana and Jason Hues and wife Melanie of Ohio; his eight grandchildren; his brother Johnny Hues and wife Amy of Mont Belvieu; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5pm until 8pm on Friday, May 6, 2016 in the chapel of Sterling Funeral Home, 602 N. Main Street, Dayton, Texas 77535. A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, May 7, 2016 in the chapel of Sterling Funeral Home, with Brother Danny Biddy, officiating. A graveside service and committal will immediately follow in Palms Memorial Park cemetery, Dayton, Texas.

Dearman

Linda Lou Dearman 67, of Oak island Texas died Tuesday May 3, 2016 at her home.

A Visitation for Family and Friends will be Friday May 6th, 2016 from 6 P.M. – 9 P.M. at Proctors Mortuary 518 Miller St. Anahuac, Texas.

Funeral Services will be held 4 P.M. Saturday, May 7th, 2016 at Proctors Mortuary 518 Miller St. Anahuac, Texas. Burial will follow at Anahuac cemetery, Anahuac, Texas.

Linda Lou was born May 11, 1949 in Portland Oregon. At an early age she moved to Meridian Mississippi where she grew up and then later moved to Oak Island Texas. She was a wonderful Mother and awesome Grandmother. She enjoyed playing on her computer (cafe land), playing cards and spending time with her kids and grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Dale Dearman, dad: Ivy Brantley, mother: Katie Brantley and granddaughter: Lauren Dearman.

She is survived by her children: Bobby Dearman and his wife Leslie of Cleveland Texas, Tommy Dearman and his wife Sherry of Needville, Patty Cox and her husband Derek of Beaumont, Melinda "Bear" Baker and her husband Mike Baker of Lumberton Texas, and Jason Dearman and his wife Cindy of Anahuac. Sisters: Carolyn Cole and Elizabeth Ann Davidson. Brother: Tommy Brantley and wife Patricia. 13- grandchildren, numerous Nieces, Nephews other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be: Mike Baker, Derek Cox, Tommy Dearman, Jason Dearman, Bobby Dearman, Austin Dearman, Bubba Dearman, Patty Cox, and Melinda Baker.

Mrs. Dearman’s services have been entrusted to Proctor's Mortuary (Location in Anahuac, Beaumont, Silsbee and Woodville, TX.) ; .

Stewart

Barry D. Stewart, 77, of Dayton, died Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at the Methodist Hospital in Houston.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 6, 2016, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Liberty. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Barry was born July 16, 1938 in Milford, UT, to parents; Duard and Ida Zabriskie Stewart, raised in Nevada and Oregon, and has resided in Dayton for the past 16 years. He was a graduate of the Klamath Union High School class of 1956 and received his bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University. He worked as a metallurgist for US Steel, a gemologist, and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Liberty. He also enjoyed making jewelry, collecting arrowheads and rocks, fishing, genealogy, and especially spending time with his family.

Mr. Stewart was preceded in death by his parents and all of his siblings. He is survived by his wife of 58 years: Andra Kern Stewart of Dayton, sons: Barry Stewart and wife Dena of Liberty and Joseph Stewart and fiancé Kristen Littleton of Washington, daughters: Shelley Howard and husband Terry of Henderson, Sheri Landriault and husband Bo of Dayton, Serena Smesny and husband Kenny of Dayton, and SueAnne Kolarik and husband Paul of Dayton, 13 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

For those who desire, donation may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital at 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105; in Barry’s name. Or. ASPCA

Rives

Mollie Virginia Fregia Rives of Hardin, died on Monday May 2, 2016 at her residence. She was 92.

She was born May 17, 1923 in Hardin, to George Dewey Fregia and Lula West Fregia. A lifelong resident of Hardin, she had worked as a Steel Worker at National Pipe and Tube in Liberty. She loved to cook and gardening, and also had a love for animals.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Taylor Rives. Son, Gary Lewis Rives and brothers, A.C. Fregia, J.D. Fregia, George Ervin Fregia, Woody Fregia and Bobbie Fregia.

Those left to survive her are sons, Larry Wayne Rives of Moss Hill, Jerry Lynn Rives and wife Janita of Hardin, and Ernest Glen Rives and wife Jana of Hardin.

Daughters are Joyce Virginia Deajon and husband Lee of Crosby, and Dollie Williams of Albuquerque, N.M. Brothers, Merle Fregia and wife Joyce of Hardin, and Buddy Fregia and wife Georgia of Moss Hill. Grandchildren; 12 and Great Grandchildren; 26 and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of loving friends who loved her and will miss her very much.

Sellers

Rodney Logan Sellers, Sr. of Moss Hill, formerly of Baytown, died on Sunday May 1, 2016 at Liberty-Dayton Regional Medical Center. he was 45.

A service of remembrance will be held on Saturday May 7, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at Mount Calvary Baptist Church - Marysee, with Pastor Carlton Bailey officiating. Interment will follow at Ferrell cemetery in Colmesneil, TX, in Tyler County.

Serving as pallbearers are Cordrey Sellers, Brian Sellers, Josh Sellers, Jared Sellers, Joe Butler and Scott Sellers. Honorary pallbearers are Mount Calvary Baptist Church-Marysee Youth Department.

The family will be receiving friends on Friday May 6, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Mount Calvary Baptist Church-Marysee.

A native of Baytown, he had worked as a Facilities Coordinator for Baytown Police Department. He was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church-Marysee where he had served as Youth Pastor. He had served as Assistant Pastor at Victory Baptist Church of Baytown.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, P.J. and Bessie Marie Cryer and Robert Benjamin and Naomi Sellers.

Survivors are his wife, Janell Sellers of Moss Hill, parents, Robert Logan and Joyce Jeanette Sellers of Moss Hill. His first wife Carol Rives of Moss Hill.

Sons, Cordrey Sellers of Baytown, Brian Sellers and wife Victoria of Saratoga, Josh Sellers, Jared Sellers, Rodney Logan Sellers Jr. and Ethan Sellers all of Moss Hill. Brother, Scott Sellers of Moss Hill, and sister, Brandy Marie Sellers of Moss Hill, and grandson, Laken Sellers. Also numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of loving friends and brothers and sisters in Christ.

Jackson

Joseph Jackson Jr- age 60 died suddenly in Houston, Texas.

Joseph was born April 4, 1956 in Dayton, Texas the son of the late Joseph Jackson Sr. and Eldora Collins Jackson. Joseph loved to spend time with his grandchildren. He was passionate about travelling, too which his career gave him the opportunity to see much of the United States, working as a long haul truck driver and local for over twenty-five years. Joseph was always friendly and outgoing, he truly never met a stranger.

He had been preceded in death by his parents as well as his brothers and sisters: Raymond Jackson; Scherry Jackson; Robert Jackson; Allen Jackson; and Carolyn Williams. In addition he was preceded by his wife Linda Faye Jackson, and his mother-in-law Edna Faye Hayes.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his son Joseph Jackson III and his wife Gwen of Houston, son Gus Hayes and significant other Dhawn Alexander of Dallas, son Dwayne Jones of Dallas and sister Betty Abron of Ames. He also leaves his seven grandchildren: Joseph Jackson IV; Davinity Jackson; Zamya Jackson; Fanetra Blakely; Monte Hayes; Bo Hayes; and Gigi Hayes as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be held 10AM Saturday May 7, 2016 at Allison Funeral Service, 1101 N. Travis Liberty, Texas.

Wade

Mary Wade 95 of Anahuac, Texas, passed April 28, 2016.

A Wake service will be held Friday, May 6, 2016 from 5 P.M. to 9 P.M. at Proctor’s Mortuary 518 Miller St. Anahuac TX. Funeral will be held Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Our Lady of Light Catholic Church, 2207 S. Main St, Anahuac, TX. Visitation from 9 AM until funeral at 10AM. Interment will be in Anahuac cemetery, Anahuac, TX.

Cherishing her memory: Sons: Mervin J. Thomas of Anahuac and Melvin Humphrey of Houston. Siblings: Patsy Dixon and Thompson Perkins of Anahuac, and a host of other family and friends.

Cox

Mae Bell Sain Cox, 96, of Dayton, died Sunday, May 1, 2016, at the Liberty Healthcare Center in Liberty.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, with graveside services to be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, at the Earthman Resthaven cemetery in Houston. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Mae Bell was born December 13, 1919, in Quinlan, TX, to parents; James E. and Nona Mae Hall Sain. A former resident of Houston, Mae Bell has resided in Dayton since 1972. She was a homemaker, and formerly worked for the Atkinson Candy Kitchen, the agriculture, hotel, and tourism industries. She also enjoyed quilting, flowers, gardening, and painting.

Mrs. Cox was preceded in death by her parents, husbands: Arthur Elton Cox and Woodrow Cox, brothers: Albert, Tommy, Parnell, Raymond, Eddie, Delman, and Coy Sain, sister: Ruby Jo Holland, and daughter-in-law: Katherine Cox. She is survived by her daughter: Carolyn Youngmeyer and husband Jim of Houston, son: Albert Cox of Dayton, brother: Glen Sain and wife Jan of Quitman, sisters: Louise Hinson of Maypearl, Ina Fay Gillespie of Kaufman, and Wanda Jo Pirkle of Shenandoah, grandchildren: Steve Cox and wife Kelly, David Cox and wife Gretchen, and Allen Sackett, great-grandchildren: Ashton Cox, Garrett Cox, Lauren McCrary and husband Ryon, Joshua Cox, and Erin Cox, great great-grandchildren: Keeley and Jackson Gunn, Sadie McCrary, and one on the way, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Boyett

Ester “Evyonne” Sackett Boyett, 78, of Cleveland, died Saturday, April 30, 2016, at the Regent Care Center in Kingwood.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Magnolia Park cemetery in Dayton. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Evyonne was born June 27, 1937 in Saratoga, to parents; Woodie Ray and Lissie Jane Billingsley Sackett, a former resident of Dayton, and has been a resident of Cleveland for the past three years. She was a graduate and basketball player of Kountze High School class of 1956, co-owner of Boyett’s Auto, member of the First Assembly of God Church, and former member of the Dayton Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She also enjoyed fishing, bingo, cards, dominoes, and quilting.

Mrs. Boyett was preceded in death by her parents, husband: William E. “Bill” Boyett, brother: O. W. Sackett, sister: Loretha Laverne Young, and great-grandson: Tyler Bryce Schneiter. She is survived by her sons: James Franklin and partner Michael Duran of Cleveland and Terry Boyett and wife Renee of Dayton, daughter: Cindy Cream of Onalaska, brothers: Robert Sackett of Ames, Dennis Sackett and wife Sue of Quinlan, Jimmy Sackett and wife Terry of Dayton, Woodie Sackett of Dayton, and Ricky Sackett and wife Sammy of Liberty, sisters: Bennie Stowe of Dayton, and Linda Matthews and husband Charley of Dayton, grandchildren: Angela Boyett Murphy, Ashley Boyett, and Cris Cream, great-grandchildren: Taylar Schneiter and Andrew Murphy, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Dillon

Billy Eugene Dillon of Batson, formerly of Silsbee, died on Tuesday April 26, 2016 at Silsbee Oaks Health Care. He was 84.

A native of Village Mills, he had lived in Silsbee, prior to moving to Batson, where he lived for many years. He was a foreman for Wooden Pallet Company in Silsbee, and a member of First Baptist Church of Hull.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis Jackson Dillon and Minnie Lee Burns, and brother Jimmy Dillon.

He is survived by his loving and caring wife of 57 years Iora Lou Guedry Dillon of Silsbee. Daughters, Lisa Ward and husband Gary of Silsbee, and Karen Graham and husband Lyle of Weatherford, TX.

Grandchildren are Aaron Ward of Silsbee, Geoffrey Graham, Kevin Graham, and Sheldon Graham all of Weatherford, TX.

A service of remembrance will be held on Friday April 29, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Faith & Family Funeral Services Inc. with Reverend Lee Gruver officiating. Interment will follow at Guedry cemetery in Batson.

The family will be receiving friends also on Friday April 29, 2016 from 1:00 P.M. until time of service at Faith & Family.

Serving as pallbearers are Aaron Ward, Gary Ward, Bob Guedry, Jay Guedry, Bubba Guedry and Jerry Guedry.
