McDaniel

Alvin Leroy McDaniel, Sr., 76, of Dayton, died March 28, 2016, at the San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 31, 2016, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Magnolia Park cemetery in Dayton. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Alvin was born January 26, 1940 in Texarkana, to parents: Luther and Mary Ethel Irwin McDaniel, a former resident of Humble, and has resided in Dayton for the past 25 years. He was a graduate of Jeff Davis High School and owner/operator of McDaniel and Son Construction. He also enjoyed fishing, gardening, carpentry, and spending time with his family.

Mr. McDaniel was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Sonny and Henry McDaniel, sisters: Patricia and Gladys Duncan, and grandson, Chris Bridges. He is survived by his wife of 57 years: Gwendolyn Elliott McDaniel of Dayton, son: Alvin L. McDaniel, Jr. of Dayton, daughters: Iva Lynn Bridges and husband Ricky of LaPorte and Theresa McDaniel and husband James Taylor of Hardin, brothers: Harry McDaniel and wife Elsie, William “Jabo” McDaniel, and Arthur McDaniel, sisters: Shirley Golden, Juanita Freeze, and Lula Rutledge, grandchildren: Brandi Zbranek, Brittnee Franks, Shelly Taylor, Alvin L. McDaniel, III, Colby McDaniel, Justin McDaniel, Luke McDaniel, Alyssa McDaniel, and Skylar McDaniel, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Neuman

On the evening of March 26th, 2016 Eric Brighteyes “E.B.” Neuman, Jr. age 83 died peacefully at his home in Dayton, Texas.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 29th at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Dayton with interment to follow at Palms Memorial Park cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held Monday, March 28, 2016 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton.

E.B. was born on October 23, 1932 in Dayton, Texas, Liberty County. He was the third son of Ada Gertrude and Eric Brighteyes “Lett” Neuman, Sr.

He married Shirley Joyce Preston in 1952. E.B. was a lifelong resident of Dayton, Texas except for short stints in Maracaibo, Venezuela, and a couple of places in Louisiana.

He graduated from Texas A&M College in 1968 with a Bachelors in Agriculture Economics.

E.B. worked for Riviana Rice Company in Houston, Texas for close to 15 years, then Baker Hughes and Huntsman Chemical in Dayton for the remainder of his work career.

He retired in 1998. He loved to fly and was recognized for his 33 years as a civil air patrolman pilot.

E.B. also enjoyed spending time with his family, ranching, cowboying and deer hunting (not necessarily in that order).

His life changed dramatically in the early 1980’s when he started a personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ and he truly liked to tell others about Jesus; how that relationship had changed his life and encouraging others to seek Jesus. E.B. always had a great story to tell because his life was so full!

He was preceded in death by his parents E.B. “Lett” and Gertrude Ada Neuman, brothers Bert and Jesse Neuman, and sister Dora Ada Carmichael.

E.B. is survived by his wife of 63 years, Shirley Neuman of Dayton; brothers, Franky Neuman of Morgan, Larry Neuman & wife Ilene of Dayton and Mutt Neuman & wife Judy of Dayton; his sons, Kyle Neuman & wife Terry of Fort Worth, Eric B. “Nandy” Neuman & wife Mandi of Dayton; grandchildren, Dusty and Stephanie Neuman, Daisy and Gene Watson, Cristy and Robert Barboza, and “Rudy” Ruben Neuman; step grandson, Adam and Kelley Speer; three great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Williams

Margaret Allison Williams, age 68 of Patagonia, AZ, formerly of Liberty, TX died Friday, March 25, 2016 in College Station, TX with her loving family by her side.

Margaret was born September 15, 1947 in Liberty, TX daughter of the late William Allison and Florence Michalka Allison. She was the oldest of nine siblings. Margaret graduated from Liberty High School in 1965 and then went on to receive her license as a registered nurse from Lamar University, The Hotel Dieu Nursing School and then St. Mary’s Hospital in Galveston. She specialized as an operating room nurse until her retirement from nursing. She was in the medical field for thirty plus years. Margaret enjoyed cross stitching, quilting and scrapbooking. She was one of the biggest Texas A&M fans around but she mostly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Margaret was always seen at any of the grandchildren’s activities when possible.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, brother; Dennis Allison, parents-in-law; Gilbert Sr and Anne Williams, sisters-in-law; Sandy Davidson and Patricia Webb.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of forty-seven years; Gilbert Williams Jr of Patagonia, AZ, daughters; Michelle Ascheal of Willis, TX, Crystal Hudson and husband Michael of College Station, TX, Angela Williams-Case and husband Craig of Little Elm, TX, brothers; Kenneth Allison and wife Kathleen of St. Augustine, FL, Tim Allison and wife Pat of Liberty, TX, David Allison and wife Mary Ann of Liberty, TX, sisters; Elizabeth Allen and husband J.H. of College Station, TX, Nancy Scull and husband Walter of Lavernia, TX, Magdalen Hawkins of Huntsville, TX, Ruth Ann Person and husband Stephen of Conroe, TX, grandchildren; Veronica Necessary and husband Craig, Brittany Clark and husband John, Katie and Emmalee Ascheal, Kyle, Madison and Rachel Hudson, J.J. Williams, great-grandchildren; Haylee, Corbyn, and Stell and a host of nieces and nephews.

Services for Margaret Allison Williams will be Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at 10am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 411 Milam, Liberty, TX with graveside services scheduled for 4pm at John Thomas Williams Family cemetery near Bay City, TX. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 29 from 5pm to 8pm at Allison Funeral Service, 1101 North Travis, Liberty, TX with rosary scheduled to start at 5:30pm.

Tullos

Joe Kendall Tullos age 86 of Liberty died Friday March 25, 2016 at Magnolia Place Nursing Home.

Joe was born in Ace, Texas January 3, 1930 the son of the late Willie and Susie Stanfield Tullos. Joe enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, and tending to his cattle. He was always the happiest with his cattle and being on a tractor. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the US Navy. After the service he went on to work for Diamond Chemical for fifteen years. Upon leaving Diamond Chemical Joe went to work for himself as the owner of Joe Tullos Enterprises building homes, apartments, and Washaterias.

He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his wife Geraldine Munson Tullos, daughter Kathy Davenport, and his brothers Adrian, Tommy, and Charlie Tullos.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his son William Tullos and wife JoAnn of Ace, daughter Jody Connevey and husband Earle of Liberty, brother Donald Tullos of Ace, sisters Dorothy Williamson of Liberty, Justine Oliver of Houston, and Juanita Crockett of Jacksonville, FL. In addition he leaves his grandchildren: Brandon Davenport; Shannon Davenport; Ricky Carbo; Keshia Tullos; Krystal Tullos; Daniel Connevey; and Jennifer Connevey. He also leaves seven great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, and a dear family close friend Ernesto Rangel.

Visitation for Joe will be held Monday March 28, 2016 from 5-8 P.M. at Allison Funeral Service, 1101 N. Travis Liberty, Texas. Funeral Services to be held 10AM Tuesday March 29, 2016 at the funeral home with burial to follow in Ace Community cemetery, Ace, Texas.

Henry

Betty Lou Henry 52, of Silsbee died Mar. 16, 2016.

Services are Mar. 26, 2016 at St. Beulah Baptist Church, 410 Kirby St. Silsbee, TX. Visitation will begin at 10AM until Funeral at 11AM. Interment will be in Kirby cemetery, Silsbee.

Cherishing her memories are mother: Daisy Henry, daughters: Sharika Taylor, Shaler Harmon (Jacobi) and Tomekia Green. 5- Siblings, 4- Grandchildren, special niece/ daughter: Tau’Lexus Henry and a host of other relatives and friends.

Jackson

June Jackson, 68, a resident of Ames, Texas, died peacefully, on Monday, March 21, 2016, at a hospital in Humble, Texas.

Visitation Services: Monday, March 28, 2016, 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm, Wells Funeral Services in the Althea P. Gibson Chapel, 300 Alabama St, Liberty, Texas.

She will lie in state Tuesday March 29, 2016 9:00 a.m., Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church, 101 Donatto Street, Ames, Texas. Rosary at 10:00 am.

Funeral mass will follow at 11:00 am, Rev. Father Ayo Immanuel Efodigbue, MSP officiating.

Interment: Our Mother of Mercy Catholic cemetery, Ames, Texas.

Wells Funeral Services at 300 Alabama Street, Liberty, Texas has been entrusted with final arrangements.

Pursley

James Marshall Pursley, 81, of Coldspring, died Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 26, 2016, at the First Baptist Church of Coldspring with burial following at Pine Valley cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Saturday, at the church. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Coldspring.

James was born January 14, 1935 in New Waverly, to parents; Lonzie Frank and Reba Mae White Pursley, and a lifelong resident of Coldspring. He was a graduate of Milby High School and a retired correctional officer. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, camping, and horses.

Mr. Pursley was preceded in death by his parents and sons: Lonnie W. Pursley and James A. Pursley. He is survived by his wife of 25 years: Donna Kay West Pursley of Coldspring, daughters: Pamela L. Pursley of Deer Park, Amanda Pursley Martin and husband Todd of Round Rock, stepson: Michael Holder of Oklahoma, stepdaughter: Michelle Nwajagu and husband Nonso and their son Obinna Nwajagu of Baltimore, Maryland, daughter-in-law: Ellen Pursley of Livingston, brother: Ray E. Pursley of Baytown, mother-in-law: Beth West of Coldspring, grandchildren: James W. Pursley, Justin W. Pursley, Ashlee M. Pursley, Cory Pursley, Brent W. “Goobie” Pursley, step grandchildren: Crystal Reneau, Michael Holder, Jr., and Michelle Brown, nine great-grandchildren with one on the way, special friends: Bula Jones and Crystal Terry, other relatives and friends.

Elledge

Blain Taylor Elledge, of Deer Park, Texas died Sunday, March 20, 2016 in Clear Lake, Texas.

He was born on July 19, 1990 in Baytown to Michael Elledge and Amber Walker Colvin. Blain attended Barbers Hill High School and worked the past five years as a fitter for Ohmstede Industrial Services. He was a quick learner and a great leader with a big heart. Blain was known as a natural nurturer to everyone, very compassionate and dedicated, intelligent, athletic and hardworking. He was funny and some say he had his dad’s sense of humor. In his spare time, Blain enjoyed sports, reading the news on his phone, boating and golfing. He was self-educating and had just recently started showing interest in politics.

In his younger years, Blain was active in sports. He played baseball, volleyball, golf and football. Growing up, Blain was a really sweet big brother, soft-hearted, affectionate and only wanted everyone to be happy. He met his wife Angel in high school and they eventually reconnected and were married . Blain wanted only the best for Angel and his daughters Makinzie and Ainsley Elledge.

Blain was preceded in death by his fraternal grandfather Lee Roy Elledge; and his maternal great-grandmother Ruth Williamson.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife Angel Hudson Elledge of Deer Park; his daughters Makinzie and Ainsley Elledge; his father Michael Elledge and wife Katherine of Hankamer; his mother Amber Griffin-Colvin and husband Marty of Houston; his brothers Cullen Ellegde of Baytown and Hayden Elledge of Hankamer; his sister Holli Elledge of Hankamer; his fraternal grandmother Paula Elledge of Beach City; his maternal grandparents Karen Joseph of Houston and Robert Walker and wife Beverly of Boerne; his uncles Aaron Walker of Austin and Christopher Walker and wife Amanda of Houston; his aunt Kim Elledge of Beach City; his Jasmine Walker of Houston; his nephew Owen Felton of Mont Belvieu; his mother-in-law DeAnna Mulcahy and husband Pat of Katy; his sister-in-law Heather Hudson of Mont Belvieu; his brother-in-law Garret Hudson of Houston; his step-grandparents Kelly Joseph and wife Tenille Duncan of Houston, Dutchess Stiles and husband Scott of Dayton and Michael Novosad and wife Diana of Crosby; and a host of extended family members and friends.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5pm until 8pm on Friday, March 25, 2016 in the chapel of Sterling Funeral Home located at 602 N. Main Street in Dayton. Funeral service will be held at 11am on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Mercy Gate Church, 9627 Eagle Drive, Mont Belvieu, Texas. A graveside service and committal will immediately follow in Anahuac cemetery.

Sheffield

Deanna Dale Sheffield of Hardin, died on Sunday March 20, 2016 at Heritage Villa Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Dayton. She was 75.

A service of remembrance will be held on Thursday March 24, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Hardin Baptist Church with Reverend Tony Hines officiating. Interment will follow at Hardin Chapel cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers are Dustin Stevens, Frank Arrington, Austin Stevens, Caleb Blanchard, Tim Moody, Monty Thomas, Chad Armstrong and Frank Green.

The family will be recieving friends on Wednesday March 23, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.at Faith & Family Chapel.

A native of Many, LA, she had lived in Hardin for over 50 years. She had worked as a secretary at Hardin Independent School District. She was a member of Hardin Bapist Church, and was also a member of the church choir.

She was preceded in death by her husband F.A. Sheffield. Son, Greg Sheffield and Parents, B.F. Webb and Winnie Webb. Sister, Wanda Thomas. Brother in law, Ray Thomas. Mother in law, Helen Sheffield and father in law, Aubrey Sheffield. Aunt, Alice Day Martin, and great aunt, Burris Bean.

Survivors are daughter, Beth Stevens Arrington and husband Frank of Liberty. Brother, Chad Armstrong and wife Jessie of League City.

Grandchildren are Brittany Blanchard and husband Caleb, Dustin Stevens, Austin Stevens and wife Kerri, Chance Armstrong, Rebecca Armstrong, Deanna Armstrong Hernandez and Casey Armstrong Hernandez and Brinley Armstrong.

Great grandchildren; Brayden, Elizabeth, Kaden, Karder, Emma, Noah, and Langston. Also numerous nieces nephew, cousins and a host of loving friends,

Richard Charles Mosley, 71, a resident of Humble, Texas, peacefully died, Saturday, March 19, 2016, at a local hospital in Humble, Texas.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 23, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., at Wells Funeral Services, 300 Alabama Street, Liberty, Texas. Funeral Services will be Thursday, March 24, 2016, at Wells Funeral Services in Althea P. Gibson Memorial Chapel at 11:00 a.m., Rev. Gregg Bellard, officiating.

Interment Houston National cemetery, Houston, Texas.
