Clark

Patsy Maxine Clark age 72 of Willis, Texas died in Willis, TX March 16, 2016.

Patsy was born in Cleveland, Texas December 6, 1943 the daughter of the late Arthur Clark and Rosalie Hales Clark. Patsy enjoyed arts and crafts, fishing, and spending time with her beloved family. She worked at Memorial Hermann Hospital as a respiratory therapist up until her retirement. She attended San Jacinto College as well as North Harris County Community College to receive her degree.

She was preceded in death by her parents as well as a sister Nadine Dunagan.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children: James Ritchie, Dennis Ritchie, and a daughter Deena Youngblood and her husband Ron all of Willis. In addition she leaves her sister Bernice Groda of Cut N Shoot, her grandchildren Zach Youngblood, Nicole Lucas, and Jamie Ritchie, as well as numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation for Patsy will be held Sunday March 20, 2016 from 5-8 P.M. at Allison Funeral Service, 1101 N. Travis Liberty, Texas. Funeral Services to be held Monday March 21, 2016 at 2 P.M. at the funeral home with burial to follow in Linney cemetery, Dayton, Texas.

Lucas

Gary Layne Lucas of Moss Hill, died on Wednesday March 16, 2016 at Kingwood Medical Center. He was 63.

A service of remembrance will be held on Sunday March 20, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Faith & Family Funeral Services of Batson, with Reverend Michael Allen Owens officiating. Interment will follow at Moss Hill cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers are Robert Edmonds, Josh Peri, Robert Rao Jr. Andrew Marberry, Sy Saxton and Stacy Saxton.

The family will be receiving friends also on Sunday March 20, 2016 from 12:00 noon until time of service at Faith & Family.

A native of Beaumont, he had lived in Moss Hill, and was a welder for Uniform Components of Sheldon, TX. He was also a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church of Moss Hill.

He was preceded in death by his parents Lonzo Samuel Lucas and Margarette Ellois Rye. Son, Kevin Marquis Edmonds. Brother, Ray Lucas and sister Linda Rao and brother in-law, Robert Rao Sr.

Survivors are his wife, Alma Day Lucas of Moss Hill. Son, Robert Edmonds and friend Amanda of Moss Hill. Daughter Christy Smith and husband Wyatt of Montgomery, TX. Brothers, Jack Lucas and wife Iris of New Port News, VA, and Pat Lucas and wife Patsy of Moss Hill. Sisters, Florine Swaim and husband Byron of Liberty, and Lorine Lowery and husband Gerald of Henderson, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of loving friends.

Grandchildren are Harley Edmonds, Sunny Smith, Ashley Smith, Dixie Edmonds, Hunter Edmonds, Daisey Edmonds, and Remington Edmonds.

Service of remembrance under the care of Faith & Family Funeral Services Inc. 40847 Hwy 105E. Batson, Texas 77519.

Harris

Benita V. Bittick Harris, 75, of Cleveland, died Friday, March 18, 2016, at her residence.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 21, 2016, at the Montague cemetery in Cleveland, with burial following thereafter. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland.

Benita was born February 9, 1941 in Cleveland, to parents; Henry Warren and Estelle Ethel Bittick. Benita was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She worked as a bookkeeper at Bittick Construction for almost 40 years and prior to that she was a veterinarian assistant.

Mrs. Bittick was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years: Gerald Harris, father: Henry Bittick, mother: Estelle Bittick, daughter: Teresa Schmidt, sister: Alma Haulck, and nephew: Kevin Bittick. She is survived by her daughter: Darlene Harris, brothers: Maurice Bittick and wife Ivonne and Lester Bittick and wife Gwen, grandchildren: Douglas Harris and wife Stacey, Sherrece Anderson and husband Blake, Shane Wingate and Jerry French and wife Mitzie, great-grandchildren: Caleb, Dylan, Devin, Ashlyn, Aubrey, Aylee, Hunter, Lindsey, and Tori, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Cochran

Joe Eagle Cochran, 86, of Coldspring, died Thursday, March17, 2016.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at the First Baptist Church of Coldspring with services concluding thereafter. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland.

Joe was born January 15, 1930 in Coldspring, to parents Eagle Woods and Madura Glover Cochran. He grew up in Coldspring. After attending Sam Houston State, serving in the Marine Corp, and residing in Angleton, Texas for a number of years, he returned to Coldspring and made it his home again for the past 30 years. He was a graduate of the Coldspring High School, veteran of the US Marine Corps during Korea, a retired marine controller for barge transport with DuPont, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Coldspring. He also enjoyed sports, woodworking, hunting, gardening, carpentry, and especially spending time watching his daughter and grandsons play sports and working on projects with his grandsons.

Mr. Cochran was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 63 years, Fannie Kate Walters Cochran; and brother, Kirk Cochran. He is survived by his daughter JoAnn Scarborough and husband Buck of Coldspring; brother E. Neil Cochran and wife Pat of Tyler; grandchildren Luke Eagle Love and wife Amanda of Atlanta, Georgia, and Marc Allen Love and wife Candace of Houston; great-granddaughter Stella Raye Love, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Iduarte

Bailey Elaina Iduarte, infant daughter of Angel Iduarte and Carol Perez, died Monday, March 14, 2016 at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, Texas.

Bailey was born March 14, 2016 in Houston, TX and lived just a few precious hours. God had a special plan for her and she is in Heaven with the Lord.

Bailey was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother; Irma Angelica Vasquez, and maternal grandfather; Juan Manuel Perez. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, parents; Angel Alberto Iduarte and Carol Esmeralda Perez of Liberty, and maternal grandmother; Roxana Marquez.

Services for Bailey Elaina Iduarte will be Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 2pm, at First Baptist Church in Liberty. Arraignments are under the direction of Allison Funeral Service, 1101 North Travis, Liberty, TX.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family for medical expenses.

Grabener

Larry Joe Grabener, age 65 of Hull, died Thursday, March 17, 2016 in Baytown, TX.

Larry was born February 11, 1951 in Waskom, TX, son of the late Olen Grabener and Thelma George Grabener. Larry attended Lafayette High School in Louisiana and then served twenty-five years in the U.S. Air Force before retiring as a Sergeant. He then worked as a supervisor in the security department for Securitas for twenty years. Larry was a big LSU fan and was adored by all of his nieces and nephews. He also enjoyed going to festivals in Louisiana whenever possible.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, maternal grandparents; Charlie and Jenny George, and paternal grandparents; Marshall and Myrtle Grabener.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, sisters; Diane Deshotels and husband Johnny of Mire, LA, Janet Ullery and husband Richard of Tarkington, Judy Dent and husband Bobby of Hardin, Mary Catchings and husband Ricky of Hardin, brother; Olen Grabener Jr and wife Tina of Liberty and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services for Larry Joe Grabener will be Tuesday, March 22, 2106 at 10am at Allison Funeral Service, 1101 North Travis, Liberty, TX with burial to follow at Hardin Chapel cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, March 21, 2016 from 5pm to 8pm in the chapel at Allison’s.

Trantham

Grace Elizabeth Wilson Trantham, 87, of Dayton passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at home after a lengthy illness.

Grace was born June 29, 1928 in Canton, North Carolina to parents, Gomer Hubert Wilson and Mirah Worley Wilson. Before her retirement she worked as a bank teller and secretary for the family air conditioning business. She had previously lived in Crosby before moving to Dayton in 2003. Grace will be greatly missed by all of her friends.

Mrs. Trantham was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Elwood Bruce “Chick” Trantham, son, Mike Trantham, grandson, Britton James Hardy and five siblings. She is survived by daughter, Sandra Lynn Hardy and granddaughter Haley Lynn Hardy both of Sugar Land; also numerous other relatives and friends.

Tilton

Pearline Theresa Ripkowski Tilton, resident of Victoria, Texas, formerly of the Dayton area, died Sunday, March 13, 2016 in Victoria.

One of sixteen children, she was born on October 1, 1930 in New Waverly, Texas, to Stash and Mattie Olybrych Ripkowski. Pearline was the ultimate family woman and her children were the center of her world. She had many hobbies some of which included sewing, playing games and cooking. Pearline wanted her family to remember her for her cooking and for loving them unconditionally all of her life.

On March 10, 1951 Pearline married Addison Glenn Tilton in Liberty, Texas and they started building their family together. She was a housewife and a teller for twenty years in the banking industry. She worked at Dayton and Premont State Banks. Pearline was a member of St. John the Worker Catholic Church in Dayton and most recently a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Victoria, serving on the Altar Society for both.

Pearline was preceded in death by her parents; and her loving husband Addison Glenn Tilton; her brothers Felix, Stanley, Raymond, Bernie, Alex, August, Leon, Bill and Herman Ripkowsk; and her sisters Catherine Machale and Virginia Carter. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters, Theresa Tilton of Texarkana, Glenda Powers and husband Robert of North Carolina and Sharon Mathiews and husband Dean of Victoria; her grandchildren Rodney Denton, Randy Denton, Brittney Brzozowski, Bradley Mathiews, Tara Thompson, Nicholas Busch and Timothy Busch; her great-grandchildren Noah, Shailee and Jaclyn Denton, Luke Thompson, Brielle Brzozowski and one on the way; her siblings Franklin Ripkowski of Dayton, John James “Buster” Ripkowski and wife Julia of Dayton, Mike Ripkowski and wife Margie of Dayton and Anna Lee Campbell of Dayton; and numerous extended family members and friends. Pearline will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Friends are invited to visit with the family starting from 1pm until 2pm on Friday, March 18, 2016 in the chapel of Sterling Funeral Home located at 602 N. Main in Dayton. Funeral service will be held following the visitation at 2pm on Friday, March 18, 2016 in the chapel of Sterling Funeral Home. A graveside service and committal will immediately to follow in Palms Memorial Park, Dayton, Texas.

Rose

Kenneth L. "Smokie" Rose 92 of Saratoga died peacefully on Friday March 11, 2016 in Saratoga.

A service of remembrance will be held on Wednesday March 16, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Faith & Family Funeral Services Chapel with Brother Lynn DuBose officiating.Interment will follow at Felps cemetery in Thicket.

The family will be recieving friends on Tuesday March 15, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Faith & Family.

A native and lifelong residence of Saratoga, he was born October 16, 1923 to Granville Taylor Rose and Elsie Mae Ewing. He was a retired Oilfield Rig Operator for Shivers Well Service of Hull.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Son, Randy Rose and brother Carl Rose. Sisters Lillian Murphy, and Mildred Furguson.

Survivors are sons, Chester Caskey and wife Sheri of Daisetta, Robin Rose of Daisetta, and Kelly Rose and wife Christine of Hull. Daughters are Jesse Rose of Oklahoma, and Jeanette Powell of Arkansas, and loving niece and caretaker Diane DuBose of Saratoga.

Grandchildren: 20 Great - grandchildren: 34

Votaw

Pastor James" Bo" Elmer Votaw of Sour Lake, died Friday March 11, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was 61.

A celebration of life and ministry will be held on Tuesday March 15, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at The Anchor Church in Beaumont. Interment will follow at Rosedale cemetery in Sour Lake.

Serving as pallbearers are Michael Snider, Derrick Snider, Trey Tristan, Jimmy Votaw, Nelson Votaw, Bruce Odom and Shane Haygood. Honorary Pallbearer Thomas Votaw.

The family will be receiving friends on Monday March 14, 2016 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00P.M at The Anchor Church.

James was born September 24, 1954 in Beaumont, to Tip Richard Votaw Jr. and Addie Mae Walker. He had lived in Sour Lake, most of his life and was retired as a Tool Pusher with 35 years of service from Transocean Drilling. He was Pastor of The Apostolic Lighthouse Church of Sour Lake.

He was preceded in death by his father, Tip Richard Votaw Jr. Survivors are his wife, Paula Votaw of Sour Lake, mother, Addie Mae Walker of Sour Lake. Sons Michael Snider and wife Christy of Lumberton, and Thomas Votaw of Sour Lake. Daughter, Tammy Votaw Odom and husband Bruce of Sour Lake, and brother, Richard Votaw of Bryan.

Grandchildren are Amber Arena, Derrick Snider, Logan Snider, Marli Snider, Kaylee Odom and Jaden Odom. Great grandson Wyatt Snider. Other survivors are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and the Apostolic Lighthouse Church Family.
