Yancey

Walter Elliott Yancey, 88, of Burkville, died Tuesday, September 8, 2015, in Cleveland.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00, Saturday, September 19, 2015, at the Palm Memorial Park cemetery with services concluding thereafter. Arrangements are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Walter was born December 12, 1926 in Galveston, to parents: Elliott and Ida Lee Beller Yancey, and a former resident of Kenefick. He was a veteran of the US Navy and an upholsterer by trade. He also enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mr. Yancey was preceded in death by his parents, wife of 40 years: Sondra Waltman Yancey, stepdaughter, Cynthia Pitts-Copeland, brothers, Chuck and Doyle Yancey, and sister, Jerri Yancey. He is survived by his daughters: Cynthia Yancey, Susan Yancey, Becky Walker, and Brenda Whiteaker; stepsons: Lee Pitts and Charles Puckett; stepdaughters: Theresa Votaw and Carol Yancey; also numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Taylor

Ronald Loyd Taylor, 51, of Houston died at home September 7, 2015 surrounded by his family.

He was born July 8, 1964 in Houston, Texas to parents, James T. and Ruth Smith Taylor. A lifelong resident of Houston, Ronald had worked as a grain inspector for the USDA. He enjoyed life, being with his family and had a great love of sports, especially NASCAR. One of his favorite times was Christmas mornings with the kids.

Memorial Service for Ronald will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 11, 2015 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Ronald was preceded in death by two children, James Ray Taylor and Shelby Leigh Taylor. He is survived by his parents, James and Ruth Taylor; four children, Christopher Taylor, Meghan Taylor, Seth Taylor, and Joshua Taylor; two grandchildren; two brothers, Rev. Raymond Taylor and wife Mary and Reggie Taylor and wife Cindy; also numerous other relatives and friends.

Mamich

Frances Mary Mamich, loving wife and mother, devoted friend, sister and aunt, age 69 of Cove, Texas, died at her residence on September 7, 2015.

Fran was born September 8, 1945, in Dallas, Texas, daughter of Charles Victor and Rita Marie Wilhere. She was a retired teacher after thirty plus years from Barbers Hill ISD. She received her BA in Psychology from Mount Mercy University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and later went on to earn her Masters Degree in Education from Lamar University. Fran loved to travel with her husband, and she cherished her family and friends. She lived a simple, grace-filled life and brought joy to everyone she encountered.

Fran was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Ellen Mamich. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of forty-seven years, Victor Carl Mamich; her daughters Sharon Ann Mamich, Jane Eunice Hilary Mamich; her son Victor Carl Mamich, Jr. and wife Aimee. Fran will also be greatly missed by sisters Mary Lou Chorazewicz and husband Bernie, Linda Wilhere, Susanne Wilhere, Nancy Urbanek and husband John; her brothers Charles Wilhere and wife Paula, James Wilhere and wife Claire, Thomas Wilhere and wife Michelle, along with other extended family.

Services for Frances Mary Mamich will be Thursday, September 10, 2015, at 10:30 A.M. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 3515 Trinity Drive, Mont Belvieu with burial to follow at Palms Memorial cemetery in Dayton, Texas. Visitation will be held from 9 A.M. to 10 A.M. before the funeral. Arrangements are under the direction of Sterling Funeral Home, 602 North Main, Dayton, Texas.

Woods

Patricia Christine Woods of Sour Lake, died at her residence on Thursday September 3, 2015. She was 44.

Patricia was born November 19, 1970 in Long Pine, California, to Geary L. Woods and Heather Paxton.

She had lived in Sour Lake, and was an homemaker. She was preceded in death by her father, Geary Woods, grandparents, Garland and Lucille Woods and Margaret Paxton.

Survivors are husband, Robert Edwards of Sour Lake, mother, and stepfather Heather Paxton Baird and husband Richard of Sour Lake.

Daughter, Heather Lucille Edwards of Sour Lake, brother, Justin A. Vaughan of Sour Lake, and grandfather, Robert Wesley Paxton of Fernley, Nevada.

There will be a gathering of family and friends in honor and remembrance of Patricia on Friday September 11, 2015 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00P.M at the chapel of Faith & Family Funeral Services of Batson.

Service of remembrance under the care of Faith & Family Funeral Services Inc. 40847 Hwy 105E. Batson, Texas 77519.

Miller

Roy James Miller, 75, of Cleveland, died Saturday, September 5, 2015, at the Bradford at Brookside facility in Livingston.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, with services concluding thereafter. Arrangements are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland.

Roy was born November 19, 1939 in Sabine Parish, Louisiana, to parents; James F. and Bessie M. Marr Miller. He was also retired parking coordinator for NRG.

Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife: Jeanette Miller, daughters: Janice Rodriguez and Diane Shortridge. sons: Roy James Miller, Jr., Wayne A. Miller, and Tony Miller, Joey Evans and Gary Evans, sisters: LaVerne Davis and Elaine Jones, grandchildren: Maryanne Gonzalez, James Plato, Jamie Drossart, Alicia Campbell, Whitney Evans, Corey Lambert, Tiffan Everett, Natalie Miller, Joshua Miller, Victor Rodriguez, Brian Rodriguez, Cassaundra Rodriguez, Synamynn Miller, and Syvannah Miller, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Vaughn

Troy Neal Vaughn, age 46 of Liberty, passed away September 3, 2015 in Webster, TX.

Troy was born November 1, 1968 in Liberty, TX, son of Hugh Everett Vaughn and Mona Faye Oliver Vaughn. He graduated from Liberty High School and was a truck driver for sixteen years and worked for Johnson Trucking. Troy was a musician most of his life and played the guitar for Southern Breeze for eighteen years. He loved driving his truck and loved his children. His children were his life. Family members stated that Troy hated the beach but in the last three years, he grew fond of spending time with his daughter at the beach and was said to have become a beach bum.

Troy was preceded in death by his mother; Mona Faye Oliver Vaughn.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of twenty-two years; Angela Vaughn of Liberty, son; Troy Neal Vaughn II of Liberty, daughter; Katelyn Cheyenne Vaughn of Liberty, father; Hugh Vaughn of Liberty, brother; Chad Everett Vaughn and wife Cindy of Liberty, brothers-in-law; Johnny Johnson and wife Cheryl of Liberty, Dwayne Johnson and wife Shelli of Liberty, Eddie Mainor and wife Rhonda of Liberty, special friends; Charles and Candy Gore, James Bey and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services for Troy Neal Vaughn will be Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at 10am at Sterling Funeral Home, 602 North Main, Dayton, TX with burial to follow at Johnson cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 8, 2015 from 5pm to 8pm at the chapel of Sterling’s.

Axton

Lois E. Nail Axton, 96, of Splendora, died Saturday, September 5, 2015, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 10, 2015, at the First Missionary Baptist Church with burial following at Splendora City cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday at the church prior to services.

Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland.

Lois was born January 28, 1919, in Jackson, MS, to parents; Silas Nail and Ruby Lee Campbell, a former resident of Houston, and has resided in Splendora for the past 48 years. She was a homemaker and member of First Missionary Baptist Church. She also enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and cherished her family and church.

Mrs. Axton was preceded in death by her father: Silas Nail, mother: Ruby Lee Campbell Irby, husband: Richard Axton, and all of her siblings. She is survived by her Richard E. Axton and wife Helen of Splendora, daughter: Gloria Meinke of Splendora, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, 15 great great-grandchidlren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Robertson

Sharon Ann Baldwin Robertson, 63, of Coldspring, died Friday, September 4, 2015, at her residence.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 12, 2015, at the Point Blank Community Church in Point Blank, with services concluding thereafter. Arrangements are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland.

Sharon was born August 5, 1952, in Panama Canal Zone, Panama, to parents, Donald R. and Gladys Dunn Baldwin. A former resident of Fort Worth, Sharon resided in Coldspring for the past 14 years. She was a graduate of the Angleton High School class of 1971, attended Tarrant County Junior College, and was a clerk for SHECO. She also enjoyed travel, reading, and especially spending time with her grandson.

Mrs. Robertson was preceded in death by her father: Donald Reid Baldwin. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Dennis Ray Robertson of Coldspring; daughter, Christy Robertson Liddy and husband Thomas of Jericho, VT; mother, Gladys Dunn Baldwin of Angleton; sister, Pamela Baldwin Zgarba and husband Don of Angleton; brothers, Donald Baldwin, Jr. of Angleton, Robert Baldwin and wife Crystal of Graford, and Kelly Baldwin and wife Monique of Angleton; grandchildren, Kelsey Liddy and Finnegan Liddy; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Sharon’s memory may be made to Varnum Memorial Library, P.O. Box 198, Jeffersonville, VT 05464.

Grigsby

Claudia M. Barlow Grigsby, 82, of New Caney, died Friday, September 4, 2015, at the Harbor Hospice in Houston.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Pace Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens in Cleveland. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland.

Claudia was born March 13, 1933 in Houston, to parents; A.C. Barlow and Earlene Owens, a former resident of Splendora, and has resided in New Caney for the past 14 years. She was a retired claims clerk for Eckerd Distribution. She also enjoyed crocheting, gardening, collecting tea pots, and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Grigsby was preceded in death by her father: A.C. Barlow, mother: Earlene Owens Addison, daughter: Betty George, son-in-law: Cliff Cooper, granddaughter: Kimberly Cooper, daughter-in-law Sue Mitchell, four brothers, and eight sisters.

She is survived by her husband of 34 years: Earl D. Grigsby, Sr. of New Caney, son: Leslie Mitchell of Plantersville, daughters: Kay Castleberry and husband Melvin of Livingston, Kathy Cooper of Alabama, Karri Pundt and husband Roger of SugarLand, Stacey Hendrix of Splendora, Shirley Turner and husband John of New Caney, and Leah Van Arsdale and husband Larry of New Caney, stepsons: Kelly Grigsby of Livingston, Danny Grigsby and wife Sandy of Dallas, Gary Grigsby and wife Veronica of California, and Earl Grigsby, Jr. of Montana, sister: Becky Roberson of Arkansas, 33 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren, One Great great-grandchild, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

For those who desire donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011, in Claudia’s name.

Massey

James Robin Massey, age 54 of Liberty, died September 1, 2015 in Beaumont, TX.

James was born April 20, 1961 in Conroe, TX, son of the late James Willard Massey and Sarah Sue Turner Massey. James was self-employed as a remodeler and had earned his certificates in electrician, plumbing and mold remediation. He was a loving son, husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed by all.

James was preceded in death by his parents, son; Shawn Massey and his paternal and maternal grandparents. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of thirty years; Joyce Massey of Liberty, son; James Burkhalter and wife Carrie of Atascocita, TX, daughter; Misty Baumann and husband Phil of Atascocita, TX, grandchildren; Brandon and Jayden Burkhalter, Colby Baumann and an uncle and aunt; Ed and Gail Turner.

Services for James Robin Massey will be Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 11am at Sterling Funeral Home, 602 North Main, Dayton, TX with burial to follow at Palms Memorial cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, September 4, 2015 from 5pm to 8pm in the chapel at the funeral home.

Kincaid

Colleen Danese Kincaid 37 of La Porte, TX, died on Tuesday August 25, 2015 in Dallas, Texas.

A service of remembrance will be held on Friday September 4, 2015 at 12:00 P.M. at Faith & Family Funeral Services Chapel of Batson. Interment will follow at Guedry cemetery in Batson with Reverend Gideon Watson.

The family will be receiving friends also on Friday September 4, 2015 from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at Faith & Family Chapel.

A native of Houston, TX, she had lived in La Porte, and was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Walter Kincaid Sr.

She is survived by her father, Walter Kincaid Jr. of La Porte; mother, Teresa Huff and step-father, Robert of Silver Springs FL. Daughters are Destinee Coward, Leah Bartholomew and Chloe Reeves.

Sisters are Jennifer Kincaid and Angela Marie Kulhunek. Grandmother is Joyce Klaus. Aunts are Sharon Taggart and Brenda Smith of Longview. Uncles are Bobby Jack Kincaid, and Buck Taggart.

Brother in law, is Tony Kulhunek and cousins Emily Clinten, and Chad Darren, and other numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of loving friends who will always remember her for her warmth and beautiful smile.

Serving as pallbearers are Bobby Huff, David Isenberg, Clinten Clow, Nicholas Kulhunek, Chad Kincaid, Darren Kincaid and Darren Kulhunek.

Service of remembrance under the care of Faith & Family Funeral Services Inc. 40847 Hwy 105E. Batson, Texas 77519.
