Delgado

Margarita Delgado, age 71 of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2015.

She was born March 3, 1944 in Zacatecas, Mexico to parents Panfilo Betancourt. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Macario Delgado; father, Panfilo Bentacourt; and grandson, Roberto Montoya.

Survivors include her mother, Josefa Ortiz; daughters, Yolanda y Adelfo Garcia, Teresita y Tom Brower, Maria y Ignacio Morales, Emma y Saeid Alyasin, Norma y Mario Medrano, Maria y Roberto Montoya; sons, Elpidio y Mari Delgado, Felipe y Maria Delgado, Raul y Juana Delgado; four sisters, one brother, twenty eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and other cherished family members and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Cleveland, Texas. Interment will follow at Pace Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens, Cleveland, Texas.

Nelson

Karl Nelson better known as "Bo", 54, died August 2015.

He was born in Anahuac, Texas December 20, 1960 to Cornelius "Joe" and Doris Nelson.

Bo is preceded in death by his father Joe Nelson & son Cody Tyler Nelson.

Bo is survived by and will be greatly missed by his loving wife Sandi Nelson, mother Doris Nelson of Smith Point, TX, sons Wesley Jay Nelson and wife Monica of Anahuac, TX, Joshua Kord Nelson and wife Meredith of Rock Springs, TX, Nicolus Taylor Nelson and wife Shayna of Liberty TX, Dustin Kasey Nelson and wife Ashley of Liberty, TX, daughters Tawni D'nae Nelson of Cedar Creek, TX, Darrian Nicole Nelson, of High Island TX, Jennifer Kristine Carmen & husband Joshua, of Phoenix, AZ, sisters Vickie Jo Nelson Perez and husband Alvaro of Smith Point, TX, Vanessa Jo Nelson Vallejo and husband Arturo of Smith Point, TX, grandchildren Garrett Wesley Nelson, Trustin Cole Nelson, Fisher Cade Nelson, Caston Clay Nelson, Noah Taylor Nelson, Ronnie Keith Winbush, and many nieces and nephews, all who loved him dearly.

Visitation will be Thursday August 27, 2015 5-6:30 P.M. with a service starting at 6:30 at Foundation of Life Church 515 East Marvin Waxahachie, TX. Funeral Service will be held Friday August 28, 2015, 11:00 AM Graveside at Jackson cemetery in Double Bayou, TX.

Arrangements are under the direction of Waxahachie Funeral Home.

White

James Hobson White, 71, of Dayton, died Sunday, August 23, 2015, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 29, 2015, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Palms Memorial Park in Dayton. Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m., Saturday, August 29, 2015, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

James was born December 12, 1943 in Lufkin, to parents; Eddie Hobson “Hobb” and Vera Mae Smith White. He was a former resident of Houston and has resided in Dayton for the past 12 years. He was a graduate of the Lufkin High School class of 1963 and a retired engineer from Union Pacific. James also enjoyed spending his time with his wife, kids, grandchildren, pets and hunting and fishing.

Mr. White was preceded in death by his parents, daughter: Kelli White May, and sister: Sue Wallace. He is survived by his wife of 52 years: Sue Due White of Dayton, daughter: Kim White Dunavant and husband Matt of Dayton, son: Jason White and wife Amy of Dayton, son-in-law: Jeff May of Huffman, sisters: Betty Kinsel and husband Jerry and Jean Register and husband Marlon, brother: Joe White and wife Kathryn, grandchildren: Chace, Joshua, Justin, and Rheagyn White, Kayla May, Wilder and Matthew Dunavant, and Brayden Ponder, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Chambers

Marvin L. Chambers, 45, died peacefully, at his home in Liberty, Texas on Sunday, August 16, 2015.

Visitation: Friday, August 28, 2015, 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm, Wells Funeral Services Chapel, 300 Alabama St, Liberty, Texas. He will lie-in-state, Saturday, August 29, 2015, at the Lily of the Valley, 3802 South Liberty Oilfield Road, Liberty, Texas, from 9:00 am until 11:00 am, Funeral Service will follow.

Interment will be in Wells Memorial cemetery in Liberty, Texas.

Wells Funeral Services at 300 Alabama Street, Liberty, Texas has been entrusted with final arrangements.

Johnson

Raymond T. Johnson, 77, of Batson died Monday, August 24, 2015 surrounded by his loving family.

Raymond was born on January 15, 1938 in Sunflower, MS. to parents, Emmett Rashor Johnson and Lacy Mae Lawrence Johnson.

He is preceded in death by his parents, son, Terry Eugene Johnson, 5 brothers, 1 sister, and 2 grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ora Elizabeth Johnson; Children, Diane Patton and husband Joe, Jeanell Johnson and Kenny Mauboules, Janet Brown and husband Randy and Ricky Eugene Johnson; brothers, Rev. Adolph Johnson and James Haskel Johnson; grandchildren, Joe Patton, Jr. and wife Ebony, Rebecca Scofelia and husband Micah, Ray Vestal, III. and wife Brittni, Cullen Brown, Ethan Brown, Bradley Brown, Christopher Johnson, Ricky Medders and Amanda Smith; great-grandchildren, Jayden Ray Vestal, Alyscia Patton and Alaynah Patton and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 from 5pm until 8 pm at Bible Way Pentecostal Church in Liberty.

A Celebration of Raymond's life will held on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at 11am at the Bible Way Pentecostal Church in Liberty with Rev. Jim Cain officiating. He will be laid to rest in Hillside cemetery in Liberty. Arrangements are under the direction of Hardin Family Funeral Home in Houston.

De la Cruz

Lucia De la Cruz, age 45 of Anahuac, died at Harbor Hospice in Houston, TX on August 21, 2015.

Lucia was born December 15, 1969 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, daughter of Phillip Plascencia and Antonia Amadar Plascencia. After graduating from high school, Lucia went on and obtained her beautician license where she was self-employed as a hair stylist. She was a loving daughter, wife and mother and sister. She will be missed by all.

Lucia was preceded in death by her brother; Julian Plascencia. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of twenty-three years; Jose Angel De la Cruz of Anahuac, daughters; Daniela De la Cruz of Anahuac, Sarah De la Cruz of Anahuac, son; Omar De la Cruz of Anahuac, parents; Phillip and Antonia Plascencia, six brothers and two sisters.

Services for Lucia De la Cruz will be Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at 10am at Sterling Funeral Home, 1201 South Main, Anahuac, TX with burial to follow at Anahuac cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, August 24, 2015 in the chapel of the funeral home from 5pm to 8pm.

Land

Charlene “Nanny” Pursley Land, 76, of Tarkington Prairie, died Friday, August 21, 2015, at the San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 25, 2015, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Magnolia Park cemetery in Dayton. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Charlene was born November 24, 1938 in Foster, Oklahoma, to parents; Luther W. and Mary A. Douthit Pursley, married Billy F. Land in 1960, was a former resident of Crosby, and has resided in Tarkington Prairie for 18 years. She was a member of the Cleveland Tabernacle Church and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, computer games, cards, dominoes, and working crossword puzzles.

Mrs. Land was preceded in death by her parents, son: Larry F. Land, three brothers, and four sisters. She is survived by her husband of 56 years: Billy F. Land of Tarkington Prairie, daughters: Vickie Land of Conroe and Norma Jean Glueck and husband Kirk of Troy, grandson(raised by nanny and papa): Scott Land and wife Amanda, sisters: Gerry Hayes and Louise Moser and husband David, grandchildren: Kimberly Fagan, Kelly Kilgore, Kasey Martinez, Arron Landrum, Megan Landrum, Noah Landrum, Briawna Land, and Elizabeth Land, 15 great-grandchildren, one great great-grandchild, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Landry

Rita Joyce Landry 84 of Daisetta, TX, died on Thursday August 20, 2015 at Liberty Healthcare Center of Liberty.

A service of remembrance will be held at 2:00 P.M.on Sunday August 23, 2015 at Central Baptist Church of Daisetta with Reverend Lesley Gaines officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Dale cemetery also located in Daisetta.

There will be a gathering of family and friends on Saturday August 22, 2015 at Central Baptist Church from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.

Rita was born August 16, 1931 in Goosecreek, TX to I.B. Buckles Sr. and Ina Woods. She had lived in Daisetta, since she was 18 years of age and was an homemaker.

She was a faithful member of Central Baptist Church where she played the organ for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband Douglas Marvin Landry, her parents, I.B. Buckles and Ina Woods Buckles. One brother I.B. Buckles, and sister- in- law Wilma Buckles.

Survivors are son, Terry Landry and fiancé Debbie Hailey of Spring, TX, and daughter Bernita Ann Landry of Daisetta.

Grandchildren are Amanda Sweezy and husband Rob of Hull, Craig Landry, Megin Landry both of Daisetta, and Maxi Alderette and husband Julio of Katy.

Great grandchildren are Bella Sweezey of Hull, Justin Alderete of Katy, Riggs Sweezy of Hull and Josie Alderete of Katy.

Serving as pallbearers are Terry Landry, Rob Sweezy, Julio Alderete, Lance Carr, Joe Harrison, and Scotty Hart.

Honorary pallbearers are Gene Walker, Bub Chalfant, Huey Palmer, Cotton Harrison, Chisholm Taylor, and Joe Allen Slack.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Hull-Daisetta ISD football program: PO Box 477 Daisetta, TX 77533.

Weaver

Norman Eugene Weaver, age 61 of Dayton, died August 18, 2015 in Baytown, TX.

Norman was born August 21, 1953 in Springfield, MO, son of the late Harry Eugene Weaver and Ann Mae Stevens Weaver. Norman served in the U.S. Navy and was a maintenance man for Sterling Steel. He worked in the steel industry for twenty-nine years.

Norman was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Ben Weaver and Leroy Weaver.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of fifteen years; Ruby Weaver, step-sons; Danny Bloomfield and David Broomfield, step-daughter; Sue Jacobs, sister; Shirley Morris, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services for Norman Eugene Weaver will be Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 10am at Palms Memorial cemetery with Rev. Ken Davis officiating.

Redmond

Donald Ray Redmond Sr. "Duck" 66 of Liberty, TX; died Aug. 14, 2015.

Services will be Saturday, Aug. 22, 2015 at Turkey Creek Missionary Baptist Church 1600 Wallisville Rd. Liberty, TX. Visitation will begin at 9AM until Funeral at 11AM. Interment will be in Wells cemetery.

Donald was born in Liberty Texas to the late Maurice Sr. and Ola B. Redmond on April 22, 1949. He was educated at West Liberty High School in Liberty Texas. He United with the Turkey Creek Missionary Baptist Church at an early age and served faithfully as an Usher until his health recently failed.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents: Maurice Sr. and Ola B. Redmond and brother: James “Jimmy” Alvin Redmond.

Donald leaves to cherish his memories a loving wife of 8 years, Deborah “Denise” Redmond, sons: Donald “Spuddy” R. Redmond Jr. and Darvin Cordell Cadoree-Redmond (Kruneshia), brothers: Maurice Redmond Jr. (Antoinette) and Clarence McAllister (Lillie), two grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mr. Redmond’s services have been entrusted to Proctor's Mortuary (Location in Anahuac, Beaumont and Silsbee, TX.) ;

Collier

Albert Verdi Collier, age 86 of Cleveland, Texas, died Saturday, August 15, 2015.

He was born April 14, 1929 in Cameron, Texas to parents George and Maggie Collier who preceded him in death along with his siblings, Connie Smith, Hillman Collier, Mary Ann Collier, and Bonnie Peebles.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret L. Collier; daughters, Cindy Collins and husband Johnny Collins and Vickie Fuller; son, Ricky Collier; sisters, Allie Ruth Drapela and Martha Peebles; brothers, Alton R. Collier and Thomas H. Collier; grandchildren, Jason Collier, Kristi Moore, Brian Fuller, Melissa Collins, Shawn Collins and Scott Fuller; great-grandchildren, Shauna Fuller, Braxten Fuller, Kameron Moore and Avery Fuller; numerous other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 23, 2015 at Westside Church of Christ, Cleveland, Texas.
