Lavina Walters Ray, age 95, died Saturday, June 27, 2015.

She was born December 26, 1919 parents Tillman and Maude Walters who preceded her in death along with her husband William Ray; siblings, Pauline Hornberger, Edna Mae Walding, Vestor Walters, John Walters, Leo Walters, Rusty Walters, Jay Walters, and Elmon Walters; and grandchild, Roland Scott Roberts.

Survivors include her; children, Samuel Wayne Roberts and wife Cathryn Ann Roberts, and Barbara Jean Douglass and husband Joseph Weldon Douglass; grandchildren, Ernest Richard Roberts, Dr. Ken and Kristi Lyn Schuepbach, Joseph Patrick and Angie Douglass, Samuel Paul and Kerri Douglass, and Deborah Sue and Jonathan Bellizio; great-grandchildren, Roland Scott Roberts, Jack Samuel Schuepbach, Samuel Paul Douglass, Jr., Joseph Andrew Douglass, Jackson Lee Douglass, Laura Emily Douglass, Christine Elizabeth Douglass, Anna Marie Douglass, Jonathan Chase Bellizio, and Addison Lynn Bellizio; numerous other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 3, 2015 at Peebles cemetery, Goodrich, Texas.

Moore

Evelyn Jane Moore age 79 died Wednesday July 1, 2015 in Houston.

Evelyn was born in Parma, Missouri September 24, 1935 the daughter of the late Edward “Val” Pope and Martha Pullum Pope.

Evelyn worked as a bookkeeper at the family business as well as worked as a waitress and in the factories back in Missouri and Illinois. She was a great cook. She loved baking, embroidering, and doing for others.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband Leonard A. Moore, daughter Donna Diann Moore, and a sister Linda Kay Parris.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children; Linda Christie and husband Thomas, Eric Moore and wife Darlene, and Danny Miller, brothers; Bill Pope and wife Linda, Ray Parris and wife Regina, sisters; Maxine Fadler and Lois Corlew. She also leaves her beloved grandchildren, Daniel Christie, Emily Moore, Lisa Alsup, Michael Christie, Heather Hall, Amy Masters, Bubba Masters, and Jacklyn Masters, as well as eleven great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation for Evelyn will be held Sunday July 5, 2014 from 5-9 P.M. at Sterling Funeral Home, 602 N. Main Dayton, Texas 77575. Funeral services to be held 10AM Monday July 6, 2015 at the funeral home. Burial to follow the service in Palms Memorial Park.

Dunigan

Nellie “Nadine” Clark Dunigan, 74, of Liberty, died Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 6, 2015, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Linney cemetery in Dayton. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Nadine was born January 20, 1941 in Cleveland, to parents; Arthur E. and Rosalie Hales Clark, and was a lifelong resident of Liberty. She had attended Liberty High School and was a member of Bible Way Pentecostal Church. Throughout her life she had worked as a car hop, a grocery store clerk, and for National Pipe and Tube. She also enjoyed flowers, quilting, her pets, traveling, and working puzzles with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Dunigan was preceded in death by her parents, sons: Perry Sean Wiggins and Terry Lee Wiggins, daughter: Rose Eulalor Wiggins, grandchildren: Baby Mitchum, Patrick Joseph Pitts, and Dean Travis Wiggins, cousins: Shirley Clark, Carol Clark Franklin, and Freida Clark, and niece: Cindy Wiggins. She is survived by her husband of 31 years: Bobby Ray “Bob” Dunigan of Liberty, daughters: Jessica Earlene Banning of Crosby and Denise Slaydon and husband Jerry of Louisiana, son: Edward Dunigan of Spring, sisters: Patsy Clark of Willis and Bea Groda of Willis, grandchildren: Heather Mitchum-Moya, Perry Mitchum, Timothy Juarez, Misty Barnes, Kelly Mamerow, Buckie Crawford, Heidi Wiggins, Tara Wiggins, Jason Wiggins, Albert Jones, Gay Lynn Cramer, and Clyde Jones, 24 great-grandchildren, three great great-grandchildren, numerous other relatives and friends.

Lampson

John Anthony Lampson, 87, of Dayton, Texas, died Tuesday, June 30, 2015.

He was born on August 29, 1927 in Stafford, Texas, to parents T.J. Lampson and Mary Cangelosi Lampson.

John was a 1945 graduate of Missouri City High School. He attended Sam Houston State University, graduating in 1952 with a Vocational Agriculture Degree. John retired from Rohm and Haas Chemical Company after 33 years of service. He and his family spent their spare time farming, ranching, and gardening. He was a faithful member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church. He leaves behind a very close and happy family.

John was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed many hunting, camping, and fishing trips with his family and friends. He loved to support his Houston Rockets, Astros, and Texans.

John is preceded in death by his parents, his son Stephen Lampson, and grandson Lane Smith. He is survived by his lovely wife of 63 years, Mary Ann Schoener Lampson of Dayton; sisters Mary Bullock of Stafford and Lee Jacobs and husband Louis of Houston; daughter, Deborah Lampson of Houston and Ralph Gardner of Canyon Lake; sons Michael Lampson and wife Misty of Huntsville, Mark Lampson and wife Carolyn of Kerrville, and John Paul Lampson and wife Katy of Huntsville, grandchildren Ryan and Randi Lampson, Matt and Jared Lampson and Hannah Hendricks, James and John Lampson, Ty and Trey Smith, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, July 3, 2015 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Dayton, Texas. Interment will follow at Magnolia Park cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 804 South Cleveland, Dayton, Texas. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Anne’s Catholic Church and/or the Lane Smith Memorial Fund at First Financial Bank of Huntsville, Texas.

Prejean

Marjory J. Prejean age 83 died Tuesday June 30, 2015 in Baytown.

Marjory was born in Port Arthur, Texas April 8, 1932 the daughter of the late Heath Johnson and Jennie Lee Bishop Johnson. Marjory was a homemaker who loved nothing more than spending her time with her family. She also enjoyed spending time outside no matter what the weather.

She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband Orrie Prejean Sr., brothers; Albert, James, Eugene, and Edmond Johnson, and a grandson Jarrod Desormeaux.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons; Phillip Prejean and Orrie Prejean Jr. and his wife Robin, daughters; Jeanette Keeler, Keron Morrison, Peggy Gonzalez and husband Noe, brother Lenard Lee Johnson and wife Linda. In addition she leaves fourteen grandchildren, thirty-five great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be held 11AM Friday July 3, 2015 at Sterling Funeral Home, 1101 S. Main Anahuac, Texas. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial for Marjory will take place following the service in Anahuac cemetery.

Copeland

Joe Paul Copeland, 57, of Dayton, died Monday, June 29, 2015, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 3, 2015, at the Grace Community Baptist Church with graveside services at 3:00 p.m., Friday, at the Center Hill cemetery in Oakhurst. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Joe was born December 2, 1957 in Houston, to parents; Clarence E. and Mary H. Currie Copeland, a former resident of LaPorte, and has resided in Dayton for the past 30 years. He was a graduate of the Pasadena High School class of 1976, attended San Jacinto Community College, employed as a maintenance specialist for Chevron Phillips, and member of the Pasadena Masonic Lodge #1155. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and especially spending time with his family.

Mr. Copeland was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law: Damon Charles Thomas, Sr. He is survived by his wife of 29 years: Fawn Thomas Copeland of Dayton, children: Cody Copeland and Ciara of Dayton, Kayla Copeland-Jones and husband Joshua of Dayton, and Caleb James Copeland and wife Taelor of Dayton, grandchildren: Layla Copeland, Joe Paul Copeland, II, Jase Jones, brothers: Steven Copeland of LaPorte and Clarence Copeland, III of Deer Park, numerous other relatives, and friends.

For those who desire, donations may be made to the Run for the Rose/Dr. Marnie Rose Foundation, 5300 N. Braeswood Blvd., #4-350, Houston, TX 77096, in Joe’s name.

Lambert

Ava Lilly and Darian Joseph Lambert, infant twins of Darnell and Paloma Guerra Lambert of Shepherd, died Friday, June 26, 2015, at the Kingwood Medical Center in Kingwood

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at the Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens cemetery in Cleveland with burial following thereafter. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon, Wednesday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland.

Ava and Darian are survived by their parents: Darnell and Paloma Guerra Lambert of Shepherd, siblings: Destiny Lambert of Pennsylvania, Yazmeen Guadamuz of Florida, Elise Guadamuz of Shepherd, Nadia Lambert of Shepherd, and Darius Lambert of Shepherd, grandparents: Carmen Klatt and fiancé Gary Copeland of Shepherd, and Mary Little and husband James of Shepherd, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives.

Lovings

Virginia Ellen Lovings 77 of Coldspring, formerly of Brookeland, died Saturday June 27, 2015 at Cornerstone Health Care Group in Conroe.

A service of remembrance will be held on Tuesday June 30, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Faith & Family Funeral Services with Chaplain Jerry Fenter officiating. Interment will follow at Guedry cemetery in Batson.

There will be a gathering of family and friends on Monday June 29, 2015 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Faith & Family.

Born in Corpus Christi, she had lived in Cleveland, before moving to Brookeland, where she had lived for 20 years prior to moving to Coldspring. She had worked for Bealls Department Store in Conroe and in Dayton before retiring.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harley Davis Lovings Sr. parents, Virgil Manous and Eva Hoover. Son, James M. Lovings, granddaughter, Carol Ann Hardy and great grandson, Mann L. Green.

Survivors are son, Harley Lovings Jr. and wife Vickie of Coldspring, daughter, Debra Johnson and husband Jeff of Hardin.

Brothers, Virgil Manous and wife Jeannie of San Augustine, Robert Manous and wife Helen of Wallisville, Floyd Manous of Hemphill, and Ricky Manous of Vidor.

Grandchildren are Sonny Hardy, Amanda Wallace, Tony Johnson, Brian Peterson, Heather Green, and Kayla Peterson.

Great grandchildren are Laken Hardy, Mason Wallace, Maddie Wallace, Matthew Wallace, Aryanna Green, Arabella Green, Brayden Johnson, and Colton Peterson.

Serving as pallbearers are John Kinser, Mike McCrerey, Ricky O'Briant, Dickey O'Briant, Steve O'Briant, Brian Peterson, and Tony Johnson.

Honorary pallbearers are Bruce Smith and Dubby Graves.

Service of remembrance under the care of Faith & Family Funeral Services Inc. 40847 Hwy 105 E. Batson, Texas 77519.

Glenn

Jesse Glenn, 82, of Hull, died June 26, 2015, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Palms Memorial Park in Dayton. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Jesse was born August 25, 1932 in Dryprong, Louisiana, to parents; Frank and Pearl Walker Glenn, a former resident of Liberty, and has resided in Hull for the past 19 years. He was a veteran of the US Army, member of the Day Springs Church, and a retired longshoreman for I.L.A #1273. He also enjoyed fishing and sports.

Mr. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, wife of 49 years: Jewel Glenn, brothers: Huey, Ernest, and Henry Glenn, and sister: Darlene Chandler. He is survived by his daughter: Wanda Joyce High and husband Alva of Baytown, sons: Jesse Andrew Glenn, Jr. and wife Sandy of Tarkington Prairie, Johnny Frank Glenn and wife Debra of Smith Point, and Kevin Wayne Glenn and wife Tracey of Baytown, sister: Gloria Avery of Louisiana, brother: Houston Glenn of Louisiana, grandchildren: Jesse Andrew Glenn, III, Andrea Anderson, Bucky Glenn, Steven High, Jeffrey High, Brandon Glenn, and Kelli Glenn, 11 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Riggins

Randall Lee Riggins Sr. died Friday, June 26, 2015 at his home in Wallisville, TX after a courageous fight with cancer.

Randy was born September 29, 1959 to JD and Florence Riggins. Randy was the greatest husband, father, grandfather and friend that anyone could ask for.

He is survived by his loving wife of thirty years, Dee Riggins, who has been his nurse and biggest supporter through the years. His daughter, Emily Bogue and husband Mathew, daughter Cassy Payne and husband Kyle, son, Randall Riggins Jr and girlfriend Kathleen Bryant, grandkids, Lana, Connor, Brogan, Kyra, Evan, Kamryn, Zoe, Grant, Logan, Brandon and Zack, sister, Lounette Riggins, brother, Butch Riggins and wife Hattie, brother, John Riggins and wife Cindy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, JD and Florence Riggins and sister Sandy Bowl. Randy will be missed by his entire family and all his friends.

Visitation for Randall Lee Riggins Sr will be Wednesday, July 1, 2015 from 5pm to 8pm in the chapel at Sterling Funeral Home, 1201 South Main, Anahuac, TX. Cremation services are under the direction of Sterling Funeral Home in Anahuac.

Dean

Barbara Ann Dean of Anahuac, TX died June 26, 2015, at the age of 83.

Barbara was born in Port Arthur, TX and graduated from Bishop Byrne High School.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, August and Irma Neeb, husband, Robert “Bob” Dean and daughter, Wendy Dean. She is survived by her loving son, Joe Dean and wife, Brenda Dibello; brother, Donald Neeb; sister-in-law Juanita Benoit and husband Bobby Lee. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, family members and friends. A very special thanks to Rosemont Assisted Living-Kingwood and Silverado Hospice-North Houston for their care.

Services for Barbara Ann Dean will be Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at 11am at the First United Methodist Church in Anahuac. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service from 10am to 11am. Burial will follow at Anahuac cemetery.
