Agnes L. Skogen Wilkinson, age 87 of Cleveland, Texas, died Sunday, February 8, 2015. She was born November 4, 1927 in Minneota, Minnesota to parents Ole M. and Mabel Skogen who preceded her in death along with her husband, Clarence J. Wilkinson; brothers, Marvin, Clarence, Dennis, Arden and Clifford; sisters, Hazel, Ethel, Joyce, Gloria and Grace; and grandparents.

Survivors include her sons, Robert Wilkinson and wife Kay of Overton, Texas, Curtis L. Wilkinson and wife Charlda of Lindale, Texas, and Clarence J. Wilkinson, Jr. of Cleveland, Texas; daughter, Sandra L. Jones and husband Earl of Cut and Shoot, Texas; sister, Gladys Coderre of Minnesota; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Brian Fox will preside over funeral services held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Interment will follow at Holly Grove, Thicket, Texas. Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas.

Murray

Jimmie Mack “Jim” Murray, 84, of Humble, died Saturday, February 7, 2015, at the Kingwood Medical Center in Kingwood.

Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 21, 2015, at the Deerbrook Baptist Church, downtown Humble, TX, with services concluding thereafter. Pastor Brain McFarlain of Deerbrook Baptist Church will be officiating with Brother Bill Fabriguze assisting.

Jim was born November 28, 1930 in Ft. Stockton, TX, to parents; W. G. and Edna M. Mann Murray. He was a former resident of Dayton, and has resided in Humble for the past six years. He was a graduate of Buena Vista High School, Buena Vista, TX, and attended Howard Payne University. His work experience included a personal business until 1963, pastor of various churches for 15 years, an associate with Billy Graham Ministries for seven years, employee of Exxon Chemical for 17 years, and was currently the Pastor at the Gum Grove Baptist Church, Dayton, TX. He was a master gardener and enjoyed flying his own plane.

Mr. Murray was preceded in death by his parents, mother of his children: Sybil Marie King Murray, and stepdaughter: Bonnie Wakefield. He is survived by his wife of seven years: Euna Blumer Murray of Humble, daughters: Marilyn M. Mints and husband Roy of Wingate and Joyce Smith and husband Mike of Hardin, son: Gary Murray and wife Connie of Livingston, stepdaughters: Debbie Bond and husband Chester of Humble, Theresa Baggett and husband Robert of Deer Park, and Barbara Phillips and husband Bill of Humble, son-in-law: Kenneth Wakefield, sister: Jean Murray, brother: Bobby Murray and wife Linda, seven grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

For those who desire, donations may be made to the Gum Grove Baptist Church, in Jim’s name.

Casey

Jo Ann Dunn Casey, 84, of Moss Hill, died Saturday, February 7, 2015, at the Liberty Healthcare Center in Liberty, TX.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 15, 2015, at the Hardin United Methodist Church, Hardin, TX. Visitation will be held prior to the service on Sunday, at the church. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral home in Dayton, TX.

Jo Ann was born September 1, 1930, in Gorman, TX to parents John H. and Mamie Taylor Dunn. Jo Ann was a former resident of Dayton, and resided in Moss Hill for the past 47 years. She was a graduate of Reagan High School, Houston, TX, and attended college in California. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and served on the board for Spirit of Sharing. She was a licensed nursing home administrator in healthcare, employed by the Dayton Hospital, Mercy Hospital, and MD Anderson. Jo Ann was a member of and Sunday school teacher for Hardin United Methodist Church. She also enjoyed traveling, beautiful flowers, and bird watching.

Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents, and husband: Carl Ray Casey, daughter: Jodi Casey, and her siblings. She is survived by her sons: Paul Casey and wife Patti, of Bullard, TX and Ralph Casey of Moss Hill, TX, three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Mitchell

Hellen M. “Granny” Rutledge Mitchell, 71, of Dayton, died Monday, February 9, 2015, at the St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital in Houston.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 12, 2015, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Magnolia Park cemetery in Dayton. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Hellen was born May 18, 1943 in Beaumont, to parents; Samuel Hardy and Mable Snider Rutledge, a former resident of Channelview, and has resided in Dayton for the past 33 years. She attended French High School, was a retired associate for Wal-Mart in Liberty, volunteer for Relay for Life, and a breast cancer survivor. She also enjoyed fishing, cooking, gardening, dancing, and other crafts. She will be remembered and known by many as “Granny”.

Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by her parents, sisters: Patricia Rutledge and Betty Louviere, and brothers: Hardy Rutledge, Jr., Douglas Rutledge, George Rutledge, and James Rutledge. She is survived by her husband of 54 years: Leland C. Mitchell, Jr. of Dayton, sons: Doug Mitchell and wife Missy of Dayton, Robert Mitchell and wife Vickie of Kingwood, and Darrel Mitchell and wife Liz of Vidor, daughter: Lurleen Marie Mitchell Eddleman and husband Lawrence of Dayton, siblings: Alene Gallier, Snow Reed, Dorothy Evans, Doris Hickman, Joe Rutledge, and Leroy Rutledge all of Beaumont, grandchildren: Meagan Mitchell Croker, Tara Mitchell, Bradley Mitchell, Gracie Mitchell, Sophie Mitchell, Monica Mitchell Campbell, Matthew Mitchell, Ian Mitchell, Tabby Eddleman, Lara Eddleman Schweitzer, Anna Mitchell, and Brandon Thompson, two great-grandchildren on the way, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Cline

Robert E Cline, Jr. 64, known to family and friends as "Bo", died Saturday, February 7, 2015.

He was born on July 19, 1950 in Port Sulphur, Louisiana. Bo was preceded in death by his mother Mary Joyce Pugh, father Robert E. Cline, Sr., and his first wife Betty Jean Cline.

Bo is survived by his wife: Dianne Gaudet Cline; son: Kevin Cline and wife Virginia of Dayton, grandson Jesse Cline of Dayton, granddaughter Nicole Oliver and husband Jason Oliver of Round Rock; son: Robert E Cline III and wife Ashley of Baytown, grandkids Abby, Tyler and Hunter; stepdaughter: Amber Gaudet-Marlin of Winnie, and grandkids Jared, Jaxon, and Anslee; stepson: Derrick Gaudet and wife Crystal of Baytown, and grandkids Bailey and Avery; stepson: Dustin Gaudet and wife Michal of Baytown, grandkids Ally, Trace and Sylas; stepdaughter: Ashley Anthony and husband Jeremy of Baytown, TX, grandkids Tyler and Charlie; brother: Johnnye Cline and wife Betty; sister: Cheryl Flowers and husband Kenneth and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm in the Chapel of Sterling Funeral Home, 12012 S. Main St., in Anahuac.

Funeral services will be at 10:00Am on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Sweet Home Baptist Church, 9344 Highway 61, Hankamer, Texas 77560, with Rev. Ronald Smith and Rev. Raymond Thibodeaux officiating.

Interment will follow in Abshier cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Sterling Funeral Home, 1201 S. Main St., Anahuac, Texas 77514.

Evans

Robert T. “Bob” Evans, age 77 of Nome, formerly of Liberty, died February 7, 2015 in Devers, TX.

Bob was born June 21, 1937 in Hull, TX son of the late Esker Tilden Evans and Muriel Walters Evans. He graduated from Hull-Daisetta High School. Bob was in the oilfield business for over sixty years where he started as a field hand and evolved to the top expert in the business. He was President and owner of Evans Operating LLP. He was a respected mentor to many.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and one sister; Betty Garrett. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of fifty-six years; Marguerite Evans of Nome, TX, daughters; Rhonda Ducote and husband Steve of Nome, Renee’ McClanahan of San Antonio, TX, son; Robbie Evans of Adkins, TX, grandchildren; Maggi McClanahan, Kaci Call & parents Butch & Keli Call, Scarlett Green Love & husband Stevie, great-granddaughter; Madison Ducote, sisters; Alice Carr, Judy Whitehead and husband Jimmie, extended family; secretaries; Barbara Herring, Cindy Jean & Nicole Herron and all his faithful team of guys who worked for him. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in Bob’s memory to Memorial Bone and Joint Research Foundation, 1140 Business Center Drive Suite 101, Houston, TX, 77043, Attn: Ashish Arya or the Boys & Girls Harbor, 514 Bayridge Road, LaPorte, TX, 77571.

Services for Robert T. “Bob” Evans will be Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at 2pm at Immaculate Conception Catholic cemetery, Liberty, TX with the Rev. Sebastian Myladiyil officiating. Arraignments are under the direction of Allison Funeral Service, 1101 North Travis, Liberty, TX.

Cawthon

Wanda Jo Cawthon, 78, of Hankamer, died Saturday, February 7, 2015 at her home.

She was a born November 11, 1936 in Abernathy, Texas to Everett and Mary Corley.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Wanda was a member of Old River Baptist Church.

Wanda is survived by her husband of 58 yerars, Robert Allen Cawthon; daughter: Becky Sherman and husband Bubba; grandchildren: Bruce David Sherman and wife Kelle; Jennifer Elizabeth Sherman, Brittany Susanne Sherman and one great grandson Wyatt David Sherman.

A visitation with the family will be on Monday, February 9, 2015 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm in the Chapel of Sterling Funeral Home, 1201 S. Main St., Anahuac.

Funeral services will be at 10:00am on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 in the Chapel of Sterling Funeral Home, with Rev. Danny Biddy officiating.

Interment will follow in Anahuac cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Bill Davis, Josh Goodson, Glen Phillips, Bruce Sherman, Melvin Williams and Chipper Sherman.

Stringer

Frankie Jean Powell Stringer, 79, of Baytown died peacefully on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Cedar Bayou Rehab Center in Baytown.

Services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following at the Magnolia Park cemetery in Dayton. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, prior to the service at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Mrs. Stringer was born July 7, 1935 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to parents: Ralph O. and Aline Lewellen Powell. Frankie was a graduate of Hugoton High School in Hugoton, Kansas. She had resided in this area for 45 years and was a previous resident of Lufkin. Frankie was a homemaker and was a sales representative for Avon. Frankie was a proud member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed reading, collecting dolls, and enjoyed time spent with her family.

Mrs. Stringer was preceded in death by: her parents: Ralph O. and Aline Lewellen Powell, husband: Gerald W. Stringer, and daughter: Kristi D. Tugman. Mrs. Stringer is survived by: daughters: Lisa Stringer Lee of Baytown, Lori Bentz and husband, Wayne of San Antonio, sons: Mark Stringer and wife Tammy of Cary, NC, Jason Stringer of Baytown, sister: Jill Schechter and husband, Mike of Wichita, KS, eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, as well as other family members

Dy'cin LeBron Webb 4, of Spurger, Texas, died on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, in Spurger, Texas.

A service of remembrance will be held on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at 3:00 P.M. at River Acres Chapel, 164 C.R.4445 with Reverend Tommy Ford and Reverend Ronnie Ford officiating. Interment will follow at Franks Branch Community cemetery in Fred, Texas. The family will be receiving friends also on Sunday, February 8, 2015, from 1:00 P.M. until time of service at the church.

Dy'cin was born in Longview, Texas, and had lived in Spurger, Texas He is survived by his father, Glendon Dale Webb Jr. of Tenaha, Texas, and mother, Amanda Ann Mobley Loftin of Spurger, Texas, brother, Thomas Trace Loftin and sister, KayAnn Felice Loftin of Spurger, Texas. Grandparents, are Barbara Cunningham of Spurger, Texas, Cindy and Glenn Webb of Tenaha, Texas, Grady and Juanita Mobley of Spurger, Texas, Chris and Beth James of Timpson, Texas, Tommy and Pam Cunningham of Spurger, Texas.
