McMillen

Sherry Lynn Baggett McMillen 67, of Raywood, Texas, died February 5, 2015.

She died at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, after a brief and valiant fight against cancer.

She was born on January 28, 1948 in Kilgore, Texas, to Marion Dean Baggett and Ernest Charlene Winterbauer. She attended Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown, Texas. She married Lincoln Lewis McMillen on May 30, 1965 at Hull Baptist Church in Hull, Texas. Sherry was the best wife, mom and "Nana" in the world. She had an extra-large heart and it showed by how much she loved her husband, children and grandchildren and was a true peacemaker. She worked occasionally in retail throughout different periods of her life but her biggest job was as homemaker at which she excelled. She loved to take care of her puppies, camping with her children and grandchildren, working in her flower gardens, feeding and watching birds, swimming, music, and singing around the house. She enjoyed getting together with her family for holidays, shopping, watching her favorite T.V. shows, and was a wonderful cook, especially chicken and dumplings.

She is preceded in death by her father, Marion Dean Baggett.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years and eight months, Lincoln Lewis McMillen of Raywood, Texas; son, Jeffrey Lewis McMillen and daughter-in-law Penny of Liberty, Texas; daughter, Jennifer Lynn McMillen Pias and son-in-law Murray of Clear Lake, Texas; son, Jason Dean McMillen of Raywood, Texas. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; Grace Marie McMillen, Abby Lynn McMillen, George Reilly Pias, Sean Joseph Pias, Olivia Catherine Pias, Madelynnn Renee McMillen, Trace Dean McMillen, and Jacy Margaret McMillen. She is also survived by her mother, Charlene Walker; brother, Louis Dean Baggett; and sister, Cynthia Baggett Zamarron. She is also survived by many extended family members and friends who loved her dearly. She will be remembered and missed by many.

Pallbearers will be Jeffery McMillen, Jason McMillen, Murray Pias, George Hughes, Josh Hughes, Louis Dean Baggett, Louis Dean Baggett Jr. and George McMillen.

A service in her honor and remembrance will be held at First Baptist Church of Hull, Texas, on Monday, February 9, 2015 at 10:00A.M. with Reverend Herman Moor officiating. There will be a graveside service also on Monday, February 9, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Old Shiloh Baptist cemetery in Mt. Enterprise, Texas. The family will be recieving friends on Sunday, February 8, 2015, from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Faith & Family Funeral Services Chapel of Batson, Texas.

Slavin

Mary Elizabeth Slavin age 70 died Thursday February 5, 2015 in Houston, Texas.

Mary was born in Houston, July 26, 1944 the daughter of the late Willie Roy Williams and Elizabeth Jenkins Williams. A homemaker she enjoyed sewing, working in the yard, collecting glass baskets, and fishing.

She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her brother Willie Roy Williams Jr.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved husband of thirty years, Larry J. Slavin of Liberty, her children; Benny Ray Harvel and wife Charlotte of Gulfport, MS., Tammy McGill and husband Ronnie Barker of Long Beach, MS., Darrin Simmons of Gulfport, MS., Tamra Slavin of Liberty, Tonja Reddin and husband Darrell of Crosby, Dawn Abshire and husband Jason of Liberty, and Mary Ann Slavin of Liberty. She also leaves her brother Grady Johnson and wife Cathey of Temple and a sister Wanda Smith and husband Billy of Saratoga. In addition she leaves seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A funeral service will be held 2 P.M. Monday February 9, 2015 at Allison Funeral Service, 1101 N. Travis Liberty, Texas with burial to follow in Fairlawn cemetery. Visitation for Mary will be held one hour prior to the service.

Woolridge

Percy L. Woolridge 58, of Anahuac died Jan. 31, 2015.

Services are Saturday, Feb. 07, 2015 at Proctor's Mortuary, Anahuac. Visitation will begin at 9AM until Funeral at 11AM.

Mr. Woolridge’s services has been entrusted to Proctor’s Mortuary, 518 Miller St. Anahuac, TX. .

Campbell

Robert Thomas Campbell, age 68 of Liberty, passed away on February 3, 2015 in Houston, TX.

Robert was born January 17, 1947 in Baytown, Tx, son of the late Brandeaux and Jearldene Dunn Campbell. Robert was self-employed as an oil and gas consultant. Robert was an exceptional softball player in his early years. He loved to travel, fish for white bass and enjoyed participating in cook-offs. But mostly he loved his family and grandkids.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, sons; Sean and Brett Campbell, sister; Betty Ruth Kirkpatrick, family dogs; Bear Dog and Smokey.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of thirty-three years; Dana Campbell of Liberty, son; Robert Lane Campbell and wife Stacie of Coahoma, TX, daughter; Dana Diane Daley of Plaquemine, LA, brothers; Jerry Campbell of Dayton, Mark Campbell and wife Terry of Liberty, sisters; Reba “Sissy” Templeton of Dayton, Judy McWhorter of Liberty, grandchildren; Cole Campbell, Shea Campbell, Luke Campbell, Chelsea Leger, Ross Leger, Taylor Leger, Sophie Leger, family dog; Rockstar Thomas Campbell.

Services for Robert Thomas Campbell will be Friday, February 6, 2015 at 10am at Palms Memorial cemetery in Dayton. Visitation will be Thursday, February 5, 2015 from 5pm to 7pm at Allison Funeral Service, 1101 North Travis, Liberty, TX.

Neely

Anna Marie Neely, formerly of Powderly, Texas, passed away at home in Plano, Texas on Sunday, February 1, 2015.

She was born at home on October 5, 1931 in Seminole County, Oklahoma to Russell Columbus and Clara Anna Anderson Martin, one of nine children. She was raised both in Oklahoma and Texas and graduated from Port Isabel High School.

She married John Bascom Neely in 1951 in San Antonio, Texas. She shared his career in the US Army until his retirement in 1972 as a Lieutenant Colonel. Their travels took them throughout the United States as well as Europe and the Far East.

She will always be remembered for her big heart and loving ways by those who knew her. She devoted her later years to the caring of rescued dogs and cats and providing them a loving home.

Mrs. Neely is survived by brothers, sisters, aunts and uncles, and her children Charles R Neely, Laura Neely Pershouse, Cheryl Dronzek, and Robert B Neely. She will also be remembered by seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sloth Sanctuary of Costa Rica (www.slothsanctuary.com).

Graveside services and interment will be on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at 12:00 P.M. in Anahuac cemetery, Anahuac, Texas.

Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Sterling Funeral Home, 1201 S. Main St., Anahuac, Texas 77514.

Williamson

Joe Carroll Williamson, 81, of Hull, died Monday, February 2, 2015.

He was an educator for many years. After he retired, he moved to Hull to work on his farm that he loved dearly.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Faye Williamson.

He is survived by his daughters, Jo Rogers and husband Charles of New Caney, Gail Melancon and husband Richard of Austin and Judy Plummer of Friendswood; grandsons, Kennet Bush, Richmond Melancon and wife Meagan, Montgomery Melacon, and Raleigh Melancon; granddaughters, McKinley Melancon, and Ashton Plummer; great grandson, Sam Bush; brother, Gerald Williamson and wife Barbara.

A graveside service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday February 4, 2015 at Moss Hill cemetery, officiated by Reverend Woody Sonier.

Anderson

Thomas Eston Anderson 84, of Saratoga, Texas, died on Saturday, January 31, 2015, at his residence surrounded by his loving family and friends.

A service of remembrance will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at First Assembly of God Church, of Saratoga, Texas, with Reverend Jeff Blizzard and Reverend Frank Aragon officiating. Interment will follow at Guedry cemetery of Batson, Texas. The family will be receiving friends on Monday, February 2, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at First Assembly of God Church, of Saratoga, Texas.

Thomas was born in Sour Lake, Texas, September 30, 1930, to Thomas Jefferson Anderson and Irene Laird Anderson. Thomas had lived in Saratoga, Texas, most of his life and was retired from Schlumberger Technology Corporation. He then became Hardin County Constable of Precinct # 6 where he retired with 18 years of service. Thomas was a member of First Assembly of God Church, of Saratoga, Texas, for many years. He was also past member of First Baptist Church, of Saratoga, Texas, where he served as deacon.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Gilbert Anderson, Leamon Anderson, Chester Anderson, Clarence Anderson, and William Anderson, also two sisters, Marie Eaves, and Jewell Anderson, also his first wife of forty-nine years Ruth Cummings Anderson, and son-in-law, Joe Smith.

Survivors are his wife, Sue Wells Hatcher Anderson of Saratoga, Texas, son, Rodger Anderson and wife Rene of Livingston, Texas.

Daughters, Gail Smith of Saratoga, Texas, sisters, Ruth Ellen Harrington of Buna, Texas, and Martha Douty of Onalaska, Texas.

Brothers, J.D. Anderson and wife Gwen of Fannett, Texas, Mitchell Anderson and wife Penny of Village Mills, Texas, Leroy Anderson and wife Marilyn of Kountze, Texas, James " Doty" Anderson and wife Reba of Kountze, Texas, Dwight Anderson and wife Linda of Kountze, Texas, A.J. Anderson and wife Linda of Kountze, Texas, Lester Anderson of Kountze, Texas, and Alton Anderson and wife Lisa of Kountze, Texas.

Great-grandchildren, Taylor Marshall, Reagan Marshall, Macy Browning, Ty Anderson, Kamden Browning, JT Taylor, Jake Anderson, Gracie Willette, and Xander Willette.

Step-great grandchildren, Hudson Adelaide Whitaker, Penelope Hatcher, and Pierce Hirschfeld.

Odom

Irene Boothe Odom age 88 died Friday January 30, 2015 at Memorial Hermann in Houston, Texas.

She was born December 1, 1926 in Batson, Texas the daughter of the late Hobby Eli Boothe Sr. and Rosie Adline Shirley Boothe. Irene was a homemaker who enjoyed tending to her yard and working on puzzles of all types. She was a hard worker who especially enjoyed her time with her grandchildren.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband John “Red” Arline Odom, her brothers, Floyd Boothe and Winfred Eli Boothe as well as her sisters, Molly Kate Odom and Wilmoth “Sister” McCreight.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters; Wanda Williamson of Hardin, Charlotte Graham and husband Ronnie of Moss Hill, and Brenda Slankard and husband Cecil of Moss Hill. In addition she leaves her brothers, C.W. “Pete” Boothe and wife Betty of Liberty and Eddie Boothe and wife Terrie of Batson, her six grandchildren James Williamson and wife Joanna, Lea Ann Chalfant and husband Tom, Mike Graham and wife Tiffany, Kirk Graham and his significant other Casey Thornton, Kevin Slankard and wife Leigh Ann, and Keith Slankard and wife Lacey. She also leaves ten great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Irene will be held Wednesday February 4, 2015 from 5-8 P.M. at Allison Funeral Service, 1101 N. Travis Liberty, Texas. A funeral service will be held 2 P.M. Thursday February 5, 2015 at the funeral home with burial to follow in Jacob Boothe cemetery.

Fenton

Dianna Avery Fenton 65, of Dayton, Texas, died on Saturday, January 31, 2015, in Liberty, Texas.

A service of remembrance will be held on Wednesday February, 4, 2015, at 2:00 P.M. at Faith & Family Funeral Services Chapel with Reverend Kitty Key officiating. Interment will follow at Guedry cemetery of Batson. The family will also be receiving friends on Wednesday, February, 4, 2015, from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at Faith & Family.

Dianna was born September 20, 1949, in Liberty, Texas, to Rothel Avery Taylor and Katherine Fregia Taylor. She had lived in Dayton, Texas, since 1992, and was a cashier for Walmart in Liberty.

Dianna was preceded in death by her husband, George Graves and her father.

She is survived by her mother, Katherine Taylor Pastoric of Batson, sons, Thomas Fenton and wife Kristy of Liberty, Texas, Brian Avery Fenton and wife Kimberly of Daisetta, Texas, Chris Fenton and wife Kelsey of Alvin, Texas, and David Fenton and wife Casey of Moss Hill, Texas. Daughter, Chandra Parker and husband Jay of Liberty, Texas. Brothers, David Taylor and wife Sissy of Batson, Texas, and Harvey Taylor and wife Denee of Batson, Texas. Sisters, are Angela Taylor of Arizona, and Mary Taylor of Batson, Texas. Grandchildren, are Ellis Frazier, Kayleigh Fenton, Breanna Fenton, Ashleigh Parker, Kelton Fenton, Robert Gobert, Baelynn Fenton, Hunter Parker, Everly Fenton, and Harper Fenton.

Serving as pallbearers are, Snapper Castilaw, Stuart Varnon, John Graves, BO Melancon, Brian Webb, and Craig Richardson. Honorary pallbearer is Tommy Craig. Dianna loved reading, crossword puzzles, and gardening, but most of all her grandchildren.
