Charles S. Walker 40 of Houston, TX formerly of Raywood, TX died Jan. 30, 2015.

Service will be Feb. 07, 2015 at Hull- Daisetta High School Auditorium, 117 Texas 770, Daisetta, TX. Visitation will begin at 10AM until Funeral at 12 Noon. Interment will be in Wells cemetery, Liberty, Tx.

Cherishing his memories are parents: Charles E. Walker and Addie Stewart-Walker. Brother: Daniel E. Walker and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins other relatives and friends.

Mr. Walker’s services has been entrusted to Proctor’s Mortuary, 518 Miller St. Anahuac, TX.

Hanks

Jack Richard Hanks Jr, 61, of Hull, Texas, died Sunday, February 1, 2015, at his residence.

A service of remembrance will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2015, at 10:00 A.M. at United Pentecostal Church, of Daisetta, Texas, with Reverend Lonnie Jordan officiating. Interment will follow at Guedry cemetery in Batson, Texas. There will be a gathering of family and friends also at The United Pentecostal Church of Daisetta, on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.

Jack had lived most of his life in Hull, Texas, and was an crane operator with Shivers Enterprise of Hull, Texas. He was a member of the United Pentecostal Church of Daisetta. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Hanks Sr. and Pearl Cain Hanks, and two grandchildren, Nocona Hanks, and Brent Fregia. Survivors are his wife, of twenty-five years Ruby Hanks of Hull, Texas, sons, Nathan Hanks and wife Patty of Tarkington, Texas, Michael Fregia and wife Amanda of Daisetta, Texas. Daughters, Misty Hanks of Hardin, Texas, and Destiny Jannise and husband Michael of Houston, Texas. Brother, Andy Hanks and wife Betty Jean " B.J." of Liberty, Texas, and sister, Martha Rawlinson and husband Hulan of Batson, Texas. Grandchildren are Ethan, Fallen, Bryce, Brayden, Trevor, Lanie, and Cami. Jack loved to hunt and make good sausage, but most of he loved his family and grandkids. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Otwell

Kolter Jabe Otwell, 7 months old, died on Tuesday, January 27, 2015.

He was born June 17, 2014 in Baytown, Texas to Jabe and Aarika Otwell.

Kolter is survived by his loving parents: Jabe and Aarika Otwell; big brother: Kamden; maternal grandparents- Jennifer Gregory, James Fannin and wife Pam; paternal grandparents- Marie Lancon Howard and John Otwell. Kolter is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, Godparents and friend.

A visitation with the family will be on Sunday, February 1, 2015 from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Sterling Funeral Home, 1201 S. Main St., Anahuac.

Funeral services will be on Monday, February 2, 2015 at 10:30 AM in the Chpael of Sterling Funeral Home, with Rev. David Lancon officiating.

Interment will follow in Anahuac cemetery.

Pallbearers for Kolter will be Paul Casey, Kade Till, Trent Wallace, and Brian Bryce.

Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Sterling Funeral Home, 1201 S. Main St., Anahuac, Texas 77514, 409-267-3456.

Parker

Virginia Lee Parker, our beloved Mother, MeMe, and Grandma died Tuesday, January 27, 2015, in Conroe at the age of 88.

Virginia, a lifelong resident of Crosby, was born March 27, 1926, in Laneville, TX to parents: Hubert H. and Mertie Faye Clark Ashby. She was a graduate of Laneville High School and a retired secretary from First Baptist Church of Crosby. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, and cooking.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 50 years: John L. Parker, son: Johnny Lee Parker, and sister: Joyce E. Ashby. She is survived by her son: Donny Parker and wife Belinda of Crosby, daughter-in-law: Mary Jane Parker of Baytown, brother: Garner Ashby and wife Barbara of Washington, brother-in-law: Frank Parker of Georgia, grandchildren: Heath Parker and wife Lindsey, Kyleigh Parker, Dr. Scott Parker and wife Melissa, and Ashley Parker; great-grandchildren: Zane, Flint, and Jack Parker, and numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, February 2, 2015, at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 3, 2015, at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Evergreen cemetery in Crosby. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Honoring the family as pallbearers will be: Heath Parker, Scott Parker, Shane Dodson, Stephen Moore, Jordan Long, and Ted Marek. Honorary pallbearers will be: Joe Trahan, Billy Joe Dodson, Marvin Marek, Billy McGinty, and Bill Fivecoat.

The family would like to express heartfelt appreciation to Judy, Lisa, Norma, and Kathy for their compassionate care and love given to Virginia.

Lee

Dorothy Haynes Lee, 88, of Anahuac, died from a long illness on Monday, January 26, 2015.

She had been a resident of Cedar Bayou Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Baytown for the last six years.

She was born on June 10, 1926 in Coon Creek, Texas, in Bosque County near Waco. Her parents were Ewell and Frances Bonds.

Dorothy was a member of First United Methodist Church of Anahuac for 69 years. She sang in the church choir for several years and taught elementary Bible Study. In her earlier years, she worked as First United Methodist Church secretary and then worked for Louis Thames Chevrolet for a few years.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Harvey Lee Haynes and brother Kenneth Bonds. She is survived by her son: Harvey Lee Haynes, Jr. and his wife Sherry: her daughter, Karen Bryant and her husband Bill: grandchildren Cisa Haynes Waldron and her husband Phil: Shonda Haynes Fancher and her husband Robert: Selena Denbow and her husband Billy: Kandis Vansco: great grandchildren Jordan Waldron, Lauren Waldron, Cole Waldron, Ashley Fancher and Amber Fancher, Saben Denbow, Ella Vansco, Klayton and Landon Vansco. Nieces: Suzanne Roberie Bergeron and husband Damon, Shannon Roberie Hoffpauir and husband Todd; nephew: Shaun Roberie and wife Brigget, great nephew Dylan Bergeron, and Lani Bergeron McElroy and Tyler Hoffpauir, Cody and Brittany Roberie.

After her children were gone from home and in college, she started an art career, studying with lots of artists: Fernie Parker, Dalhart Windberg, Jan Maters, Bill Earle, Bud Biggs, Raymon Froman, Ethyl White, Faye Sitton and others. In Texas and Arizona, she painted and showed in numerous art galleries. In her later years she shared her gift by teaching art to many students in her home studio in Double Bayou and workshops in various cities around the United States.

She was mostly noted for her oil roses which she learned from Fernie Parker. She is still a part of our lives through her paintings and her students’ work.

A visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 at Sterling Funeral Home, 1201 S. Main St., in Anahuac.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at First United Methodist Church in Anahuac.

Interment will follow in Jackson cemetery in Double Bayou.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Sterling Funeral Home, 1201 S. Main, Anahuac, Texas 77514.

Kitson-Cole

Evelyn Kitson-Cole, 87, died Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Crestview Court Nursing Home in Cedar Hill, TX.

She is survived by her only son Robert C. Davis and his 5 children, 10 great grandchildren, and extended family. She was predeceased by her husband Leon Cole.

Funeral Services will be 11:00am, Saturday, January 31, 2015, at Mt. Rose Missionary Baptist Church, 808 Washington St. Liberty, Tx. Rev. Speights, Pastor; Rev. Michael Booze, officiating.

Interment will be in Wells cemetery, Liberty.

The family is being cared for by Proctor’s Mortuary, 518 Miller St., Anahuac, Texas. ” We Make The Difference” (409) 267-3122.

Breaux

Emma Elvira-Ann Breaux, infant daughter of Blaine Anthony Breaux and Nickole Danielle Buehler, died Sunday, January 25, 2015, at a family residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 28, 2015, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Magnolia Park cemetery in Dayton. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Emma was born July 7, 2014, at the Kingwood Hospital in Kingwood and has resided in Dayton. She enjoyed family members playing with her and her swing.

Miss Breaux was preceded in death by her aunt: Dedrae Phillips and cousin: Dustin White. She is survived by her mother: Nickole Danielle Buehler of Dayton, father: Blaine Anthony Breaux of Call, sister: Hailey Daniels of Dayton, grandparents: Mark Alan and Ina Lucille Buehler of Dayton and Tony and Sherri Yarber of Humble, aunt: Lynn Lott and finance Chris Estrada, uncles: Jesse Lott and Alan “Bubba” Buehler, and numerous cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Lynch

Arthur Ray " Boo Boo" Lynch 36 of Snake River, addition died on Sunday, January 25, 2015, in Beaumont, Texas.

Arthur was born on October 2, 1978 in Houston, Texas. He enjoyed welding, hunting, fishing and old trucks. With a passion for music he loved to sing. He was full of laughs and had a contagious smile.

Survivors include wife Jaylene Biddle Lynch, daughters Grace Lynch and Layne Lynch, father Arthur Lee Lynch and wife Roxanna, mother Kathleen and husband Lonnie Whitehead, Grandmother La Nell Richardson. Sisters Audrea and husband Byron Brooks, Misty and husband Shawn Frazier, and Sommer Lynch. Arthur also had many nieces and nephews and a host of other family members and friends.

Preceded in death by his grandmother Katherine Lynch and grandfather Amos Richardson.

Serving as pallbearers are Jonathan Lynch, David Harris, Shawn Frazier, Nathan Richardson, Tristin Wilkerson and Britton Beck.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2015, at 11:00AM at the Moss Hill cemetery with Reverend Jamie Blume officiating.

Zaruba

Funeral services for Albert Zaruba of Conroe, Texas will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Christ Church with the Rev. Dan Schiel officiating.

The family will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral service at the reception hall next to the church. Interment will follow at Conroe Memorial Park under the direction of Conroe Funeral Directors.

Mr. Zaruba was born on October 8, 1929 in Dayton, Texas to Charlie & Rosie Zaruba and died peacefully on Saturday morning, 1-24-2015 at his home in Conroe.

Mr. Zaruba was a lifelong accomplished musician who played music by ear and loved to entertain and teach others. For many years, he played joyfully at Christ Church in Conroe. Al was a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who loved his family and was a dear friend to so many.

Al married Jerry, the love of his life on March 12, 1954 and they’ve been happily married for over 60 years.

Proceeded in death by his sisters, Ann Ripkowski and Carolyn Cox and his brother, Charlie Zaruba, Jr. Al is survived by his loving family: Wife, Jerry Zaruba; son and daughter-in-law, Keith & Trudy Zaruba; daughters and sons-in-law in law, Vicki & Jimmy Burleigh and Twyla & Wayne Gentles; grandchildren, Rusty Burleigh, Rachel Shaw & husband John, Jason Zaruba & wife Nicole, Christine Armstrong & husband Ryan, Cameron Gentles & Jaclyn Johnson, Tyler Gentles & wife Jill and Cooper Gentles; Seven great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Burleigh, Jared Shaw, Brendan Shaw, Adrianna Burleigh, Landon Zaruba, Braden Zaruba and Savannah Zaruba and also numerous other dear relatives and friends.

Pallbearers: Rusty Burleigh, Cameron Gentles, Tyler Gentles, Cooper Gentles, Jason Zaruba and John Shaw.

Smith

Evelyn Jean Smith, age 82 of Liberty, died January 24, 2015 in Houston, TX.

Evelyn was born November 12, 1932 in El Campo, TX, daughter of the late Robert Frank Hensley Sr and Amelia Erekson Hensley. She attended El Campo High School and then married James Smith in 1956 and was married forty-six before his passing in 2003. Evelyn was a housewife most of her life. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, watching TV and reading the newspaper. Every chance available, she attended her grandchildren’s activities. She was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be missed by all.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents and husband, daughter; Terry Watson, brothers; Frank Hensley Jr and Merele Hensley, sisters; Doris St. Clair and Lucille Yackel. She leaves behind to cherish her memory son; Chipper Smith and wife Toni of Liberty, Darla Diaz and husband Daniel of Liberty, sister-in-law; Dorothy Hensley of El Camp, TX, best friend; Mae Joyce Downs of Liberty, grandchildren; Kristi Sterling, Kevin Smith, Lisa Fregia, Tressa Provost, Joni Muskwinsky and Jennifer Scroggins, great-grandchildren; Madison and Pearson Sterling, Carson and Cameron Smith, Zack and Kenleigh Fregia, Trelisa and Stan Provost IV, Kaylee and Korianne Muskwinsky, Keyli and Luke Scroggins.

Services for Evelyn Joyce Smith will be Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 10am at Allison Funeral Service, 1101 North Travis, Liberty, TX with Lindsey Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Cooke cemetery in Liberty. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Allison Chapel from 5pm to 7pm.
